Chapter 4 : My Name is Cassandra VILLANUEVA

Chapter 4: My Name is Cassandra VILLANUEVA

Samuel’s P.O.V.

“What the heck is this?” I could only muster a small laugh. This woman amuses me.

“Your uniform, is there any problem?” I just took a sip of my tea. It was an hour later when we got back to my mansion. This skeptical girl is starting to get in my nerves. This is her job not a vacation!

“Are you serious?! I will look stupid in this!” I saw her sneer and threw the maid dress on the couch nearby. It’s not her to decide, does she think she can wear blingy glittery dresses around my place? She’s too stupid.

“Ugh! Fine!” She scoffed and headed upstairs to change. She never changed, not one bit. And it makes me want to crush her harder. Since the higher the bird flies, the harder will it fall in the end. And I’ll be the lucky phoenix who will watch you fall down your knees.

“Sir Samuel. Ms. Denise has been waiting for you at the garden manor. We tried to get her to leave but to no avail. She continuous to demand for your presence.” I sighed and waved for my butler to leave, now another woman irritates me. If only mother could only stop letting her in my life, it would be really great.

Mother loves to set me up to wealthy heiress of partnering companies. But she does not understand the simple fact that I would prefer to live up my duties as my position.

“What do we do now?” Jarred stood beside me. I only spared him a bitter smile before getting up on my feet. That time around, Cassandra went down the stairs. She wore the traditional maid dress I have for her. It looks plain to me, or is it because she’s plain?

“Jared, Tell the chefs to make some jasmine tea and frosted biscuits. I’ll be in the garden manor shortly.” I took a glance over at Cassandra once more, she seems to be hesitating on what to do.

“What are you standing there for? I want you to deliver the tea and biscuits at the garden manor, in 5 minutes after I go out. Understood?” I took my leave even before she mutters a word, whatever it is. I don’t want to hear it. Her nonsense earlier is already enough for me. Disgusting females.

I made my way out to the garden manor. A simple garden just behind my mansion. I remember how my sister loves to plant flowers, So I built this garden specially for her. I sighed and glanced by the garden tables where Denise was comfortably sitting on the iron seat.

“Ms. Denise Javier. What brings you to this warm evening?” I put on a small façade. She disgusts me, but I dare not to say it out loud, especially in front of my Mother. She glanced over and sent a smile on my way. I could see sparkles in her irises. I don’t like it.

“Auntie told me that you were appointed as CEO. I came to congratulate you!” She giggled with her teeny smile. It makes me feel so uncomfortable. I could only sigh inwardly and smile. I need to smile. Or else I wouldn’t know what my mother would do to me.

“I’m flattered, Ms. Denise. But you don’t have to go through the hassle of coming here.” I sat down on the seat opposite of hers. I know that she has been crushing onto me since childhood, people could call us as ‘childhood sweethearts.’ but in the end. I just don’t like her that way. I couldn’t say that out loud can’t I?

“Of course, I should be here! You’re promoted to a high status, since I’m the rightful heir of YingYang Design corp. Wouldn’t be very fitting for us to be betrothed?” She latched over my arm, hugging it closely.

“Erm... Jarred, tell Cassandra to bring over the biscuits.” I tried to pry her away, but her arms were strongly attached. Luckily, Cassandra came with the tray, though she seems to act ambiguous about it. I could care less.

I managed to shove Denise away. Not in a rough manner. I would not dare to offend her in such way.

“How about we have some jasmine tea, I remember you used to ask Madam Rose to make some when we were kids. These biscuits are also your fancy am I correct?” I baffled out. Of course, those were complete lies but she wouldn’t say no.

“Yeah… You remembered… You do care a lot.” She gave a soft smile and begun to take some. I find it relieving knowing her character, but the fact that she has been going crazy over me during the years. I’d rather not elaborate further.

“Now for the trivial matters. The YingYang Design corp. proposed a collaboration to raise the overall rating standards of Japan Electron-Innovations Corporation, at the same time to raise the stock market value. Am I correct?” I read over the proposal which Jarred handed me a while ago.

It seems that YingYang Design Corp. is going to advertise their designing market by using the electronic devices which Japan Electron-Innovations Corporation produces to get the most out of their products, at the same time to endorse our products to the public market using high end fashion and their models which the public adores. Hence the bargain is more above than the standards. This is one of the reasons why Mother would push me over to Denise, for the sake of our family’s good relationship to build a better cooperation between the two companies. Perhaps it’s a true win-win situation.

“Correct, we would host the advertisements using our resources and way of fashion, thus our public exposure and peak of interest will rise which also our reputation, while Japan Electron-Innovations Corporation can benefit by receiving exposure and the peak of interest to the public eyes. The best outcome would be, the sudden rise of Japan Electron-Innovations Corporation’s selling market and YingYang Design Corp.’s reputation to skyrocket, which we could earn the revenue at a higher pace when we collaborate.” She elaborated out loud. I could only give out a nod to signify my approval. Though it would take days later in order to sign the formal contract.

“I knew we both have the same agreement. Which is a good reason for us to be destined together right?” She smiled, though I could smile back in return. I don’t agree with her terms on this kind of topic.

“I see you have yourself a new servant here?” I glanced over behind me to where she indicated. And indeed, Cassandra is still here.

“You noticed, Yes, she’s Cassandra Villarei.” I took a sip of my tea while glancing back at her, Denise seemed to be holding onto her laughter. I wonder why?

“Tyrant! It’s Cassandra VILLANUEVA!” I could see the fury in her eyes, it’s not my fault for not remembering. Like I could care any less.

“Don’t take it to heart Ms. Villanueva. Sammy normally forgets names that he isn’t familiar of. I’m Denise Javier by the way. Heiress of YingYang Design Corporations. A fashion studio widely known.” I could feel the slight authority she had when stating it. She liked it most when people looked up at her, while she looks down on them.
