Her Pride Belongs To The CEO

Prologue

BEEP BEEP BEEP

The ringing sounds of the alarm clock arose the female figure from her sleep. She groggily sat up with a big yawn and stretched her numbing limbs from her sleep, her drowsy eyes landed on her alarm clock, slamming her hand on the ‘OFF’ button as she swiftly swung her feet off the edge of the bed.

“Another day, Another moment of dread. Why do I have to go to school when I can run my own Company someday? Troublesome.” She mumbled, the female figure is known as, Cassandra Rose Villanueva. Daughter of a fairly wealthy family, with one older brother, and no sisters to her dismay. Heavily spoiled, the type of people who would do so much mischief and gain no discipline from anyone.

Though she can’t skip the place she calls hell, she snatched her bath towel lazily and prepared to go to her high school, Cassandra—or mostly known as Cassey, is the biggest bully in Augsburg University, using her strong personality to scare off nerds that comes her path. She is one of the popular girls in her group, of course she stays single. No one is brave enough to even get too close to her comfort, else they end up with a busted nose or a missing teeth. That’s Cassey. Using her fists as words instead.

“Cassey dear, hurry up, you’ll be late again!” Maria Grace Villanueva, her mother shouted out,. The maids already prepared their breakfast, and their driver waiting ever so patiently for their arrival. Cassey skipped most of the steps on the stairs in a quick manner. It’s not like she’s going to fall, she gotten used to her routine and daredevil acts.

“What took ya’? Seems like a frog hops faster in the mud than you.” Her big brother, Alyn Drake Villanueva, already finished breakfast and was currently leaning against the wall, ‘patiently’ waiting. His sister only gave a scoffed feature and grabbed an apple from the fruit basket, she doesn’t have time for a full breakfast as she waved at her mother and ran out with her laughing brother.

“Chill out, we still have 10 minutes. ” Alyn was the joker type of guy, yet he’s protective when in need. Of course, it’s not like his sister needs any protection when they’re doing it the other way around. That's one of the things that Alyn thought about which made him think. He's utterly useless. At least, that's what he thought.

It was around 7 am when the siblings arrived at Augsburg University, AU for short, students were already swarming the area, busy in chatting with friends, rushing to their lockers and classrooms, Cassey was surprisingly calm for some reason. She never feels the Adrenalin of rushing for the sake of not being scolded for being late. She IS a daredevil perhaps, it’s just nothing to her. She is probably used to that feeling of being scolded already. Which is already a well-known fact, So why bother?

Alyn left to his own class, being a good boy he is. He’s taking his master’s degree after he finished college. A graduate on the Bachelors of Literary Arts and Design. Only being three years apart from his little sister. Whom is even a quarter left from graduating, Cassey was immediately swarmed by her group of friends the moment she arrived at the locker area. Some of them are composed of school jocks, sport varsities and gossip girls. She never liked how they act to be honest, she only bothered to stick around with two particular people. Damien Cruz and Jessica Abcedera, they aren’t too close, but in times in need, she can count on them.

“Cassey look! Isn’t that the guy you were looking for last week?” Jessica squealed, her eyes glued to one of the male students in the locker area. Though Cassey just waved her hand in an annoyed manner.

“Do you even need to wear glasses? I’m looking for that dork.” She sighed, they’re not really helping at all. She’s looking for a specific nerd on the contrary. She’s looking for Samuel Gabriel Dencio, Sammy is his dork name. He’s the smartest boy in the AB strand, being a major in Business management and marketing, having the honoree in marketing strategies and technological development, and he is also Cassey’s favorite bully target to pick on.

"Tho why make it too hard for the little kid? In my opinion, I pity him. It's not his fault that he's too naive to be bullied." Damien sighed out, his arms crossed behind his head in a relaxed manner. Which made Cassey stop in her tracks to glance by her friend.

"It's also not our fault that he's too easy to pick on, you can't blame me. He can only blame himself." Cassey gave out a grin, having a glimpse of someone from afar, someone she has been looking for sometime now.

"Remember, the Wise once said. " In Every Act, There Is Always Retribution." Aren't you afraid that the kid will fight back?" Damien questioned once more, his gaze seemed to shift from his two female friends over to the similar gaze Cassey had towards a certain person in a distance.

"So where is he then? Cowering somewhere? I can barely even remember the poor kid's face. Are you sure he isn't that guy a while ago? The one near the entrance hall?" Jess once again muttered out, her eyes darting from one direction to another, lest she gazed where the other two were.

“Dork kid isn't that guy Jess, that guy is.” Damien pointed to the other end of the hall. One locker open with a teenage boy managing his belongings, he was short for his size, his big glasses having been pushed up far too many times for it kept sliding down. Others find it cute, while Cassey thinks it’s stupid. If his glasses kept falling off, why not buy smaller ones? Otherwise, they are only for show.

“Well, well, well. If it isn’t the business dork, you only have 5 minutes till class starts, better hurry on your little feet.” Cassey smirked and slid her foot across from his, causing the poor teen to trip and drop all the books he has been holding. The worst part. His glasses fell off, he couldn’t see a thing.

Seeing this made the trio laugh as Jessica snatched his glasses from the floor and toss it to Damien, as he tossed it to Cassey. A mischievous smile on their faces.

“M-Ms. Villanueva. I’m not playing around, give me back my glasses!” The boy yelled out, reaching to whatever he can reach in search for his glasses that isn’t even on the ground. Though the act only caused the trio to laugh louder.

“Oh? You want this big glasses back little Sammy? But I want it.” She giggled and dropped the pair of expensive looking glasses on the floor as she lifts her right foot and deliberately stomped on the glasses, smashing them into bits. The loud shattering and cracking of glass made Samuel perk up as he caught a blurry glimpse of his broken Glasses. The three only mocked and laughed at him as their leader, Cassey, crossed her arms amused. Not a single feeling of pity nor regret was evident on her cold gaze. To her, This is her daily routine. To make people see who's the boss of the place. Nor would she care otherwise.

“Oops! It slipped my fingers. What a shame, would you ever be so kind as to forgive me?” They just continued their laughing fit as they sarcastically mocked the boy for being powerless and obviously weak. The bell rung signifying that classes has begun. The trio having calmed themselves from their laughing fits, showing their mischievous smiles that the boy couldn’t visibly see.

“Uh oh, looks like the nerd boy is tardy, tsk, tsk, tsk, why won’t you be punctual for once? So much for the smartest nerd in the strand. To waste his brains for something as simple as Punctuality.” Cassey snickered and turned to leave the boy with his broken glasses, yet before the trio could get a distance away further. Samuel glanced up, his face showed an angered scowl. Though his eyes blurred with evident tears. He had enough of this daily treatment he was getting. He is tired of this nonsense that continued as his daily routine. He mumbled sentences that would’ve made Cassey regret she ever met him.

“Don’t be too happy, I’ll get back at you, just you wait. And you will regret you met me, Cassandra Rose Villanueva... I’ll get back at you, not once, not twice, but ten-folds!
