"REALLY ?! I told you, even if you won’t get use of that calling card, destiny will still bring the two of you closer!" Nicole was thrilled after she told her she met Jessie at the mall. "He even bought you a cellphone. I have a feeling that he likes you, Arianne. My gosh, I’m excited to meet my future brother-in-law.”

"I was ashamed but he insisted. If I save enough, I’ll pay him back."

"Did you ask him if he has a girlfriend?"

"He said he’s single.

"Oh My God! That’s good news. I'm sure he really is the right guy for you.”

Suddenly her cellphone rang. Her eyes widened and her heartbeat quickened when she saw the caller's name.

"Why do you look like that? Who's calling?” Nicole commented to her while peeking at her cellphone. "Jessie? Jessie is calling! Answer quickly!"

It took a while before she managed to answer. "H-Hello.”

Nicole was on her side shaking her and silently instructing her to change it to loudspeaker so she can hear Jessie.

“Are you busy?”

“No. I’m just in my room. How about you? Do you feel better now?”

"Yeah. I’ve rested. Do you have nothing to do tomorrow?"

"Tomorrow?" She looked at Nicole.

"He's inviting you for a date? Say yes, yes, yes!"

Jessie laughed on the other line "Looks like you’re with someone.”

“Yeah, it’s my bestfriend.”

“Ah. The owner of the house? Am I in loud speaker?”

They got caught.

“I’m sorry. If it’s not-.”

“No, it’s fine. I just ask so I can greet her. Hi, Nicole.”

“Oh, you know me? Hi, Jessie. My friend her is single and ready to mingle. She’s-,” she covered Nicole’s mouth with her palm.

“Stop it, Nicole.”

“Fine. I’ll keep quiet,” Nicole raising both her hands.

While Jessie just laughs on the other line. She decided to remove the loud speaker so Nicole would stop teasing her.

“I’m sorry, Jessie. By the way, why did you ask if I’m free tomorrow?”

"You did mentioned that it's okay with you to have my paintings even if they are ugly."

"Hey, I told you that there are no ugly artworks.”

"That's why I wanted to give you my paintings. I know you will appreciate them.”

"Sure. That’s going to be a great pleasure for me.”

"If it’s okay with you, I would like to invite you here to my house. Look around first and choose whichever you’d like.”

She looked at Nicole. "Can I bring my friend?"

Nicole pointed her self and said why bring me without noise.

"Sure. So you’re coming?"

"Of course. But how do I get there?”

“Don’t worry about that. I’ll pick you guys up tomorrow morning.”

When they were finished talking, something suddenly entered her mind. How did Jessie find out her number? She don’t remember giving it to him. And why his number already registered on her phone? Oh right, Jessie was the who bought her phone and sim card. Maybe he saved it before giving to her.

"Hey! Why did you guys talked about? Did he ask you for a date?”

"We will meet tomorrow.”

"Really?” Nicole seems more excited than her. "Oh my gosh, Arianne. I'm sure he'll invite you on a romantic date.”

“You’ll come with me.”

Nicole frowned. “Huh? Why me?”

"Because we’re not going out for a date. He invited me in their house to show me his paintings. I do not want to go there alone."

"Paintings? You mean, he’s an artist? Like Eissej? He is really the man of your dreams! He has everything that you want in a man. Should I start crying? I think you’ll be leaving us soon.”

“You’re overreacting. It’s not a date.”

Even if she knows it wasn’t a date, it was almost one thirty in the morning but she still couldn't sleep. Is she excited? Nervous? She shouldn't feel that way.
