“HAVE you guys heard the talk of the town? They said the president’s secretary came out from an expensive car again. Yesterday it was a Maserati and now, an Audi RS7. I don’t think she’s that rich to afford those cars. What do you girls think?”

“If she’s that rich, she’ll be the boss of her own company, not a mere secretary.”

“With her looks, it’s not impossible that her sugar daddy was the one driving her to work.”

“What if it’s the president letting her use those cars? I heard they’re close.”

“What if the president is cheating on her wife and his secretary was the accomplice? He would use a different car to his mistress and would meet with his secretary in between to bring his usual car. That’s possible, right?”

The employees got silent while their faces were filled with surprise after seeing her come out from one of the cubicles. Bridgette has been there even before this group of women came and starts talking about a person who’s no doubt was her.

“I heard the evaluation for employees under probation would be next week. I think you girls should start looking for a new job now,” she said before she walked out of the comfort room.

She just let them talk and stayed quiet inside. She already prepared herself that this would happen, that people would talk about her coming out from expensive cars when she’s just the president’s secretary. But when they start talking about Shan, she thought she had to do something. Even so, it’s not like she’s going to complain about the incident. It might only cause more suspicion against them and she doesn’t like that to happen.

“I know that face. Just say it. What’s wrong?”

Shan was busy reading and signing contracts but she thought it was the only chance she has on that day to talk with him. She doesn’t know how to start the conversation that’s why she just stood in front of him till he notices her and it did work.

“W-well, I just thought that maybe it’s better if I’ll just use a cheap car for work. Something believable for a secretary like me to afford.”

“I just want you to experience living the life of luxury, Bridge.”

“But it really makes me feel uncomfortable riding those cars.”

“You’re uncomfortable or you just don’t want other people to gossip about it?”

“It’s actually both.”

“Who are they?”

She frowns. “What?”

“You won't feel that way if you haven’t heard someone talking about it. So tell me who they are. I’ll fire them.”

“Shan,” she sighs roughly. “Never mind. I’m sorry for the inconvenience.”

Though she scares those women about not getting promoted, she has no intention to tell Shan about them. She’s about to walk out of the office when Shan grabbed her wrist and pulled her back in.

“What are you doing?” she said as Shan locked the door, pushed her on the wall, and starts kissing her. “T-this is not right,” she said as she tried to push him but failed. “S-Shan, stop. W-were on your office,” her breathing starts to get heavy when Shan lifted her skirt, pulled down her underwear, and starts caressing her clit.

A year ago, she almost gave up and got tired adjusting. But then, when she got into an accident, she realized she was afraid to die and not see Shan again. She just loves that man so much. That’s why even if she knows Belle will make her life hard, she still chose to be with Shan. As long as Shan loves her, she will never let go until Shan gets what he wants and they can finally live happily without worrying what others would think about them.
