VOLTS was in a hurry to the hospital when someone called to his office - one of his acquaintances in the PNP, according to the police officer, there was a loud explosion on the highway near the mall and according to the investigation, two victims of the explosion were Ysabelle Reyes and Angelique Quintero, who were both involved with him.

Both the skin and faces of the two women were burnt and according to the identities of the two — the woman holding the bag was identified as Angelique because of her belongings and ID in the bag she was holding and the other woman was identified as Ysabelle due to the trace of plate number of her vehicle which also exploded.

His heart was beating so fast and according to his police friend, the two were in a critical condition.

When he arrived at the hospital where the two women were taken, he immediately went to the ICU. He caught up with the cops who were there. When he got close to them, his police friend quickly approached him, according to his friend, Angelique's car exploded due to the overheat engine of his car.

"But why Sab was with her?" he asked in astonishment.

"That's what we're still trying to figure out." His friend replied.

He looked out the glass window of the ICU. His friend pointed to the two women with burns, Ysabelle and Angelique.

He wiped one hand on his face out of frustrations and sadness. How did this thing happen? And how did the engine of Angelique's car overheat and explode? He felt a foul play in this incident.

“PO2 Santiago, can you investigate this case thoroughly? I was uneasy that the car exploded due to an overheated engine. I am not convinced. ” He said, which he nodded.

He was only taken an information of his last meeting with the two women before his police friend with his two other colleagues left the place. He heaved a sigh. How would he tell to their parents about what happened? Especially with Sab's daddy who is in a business trip? He silently prayed. Oh, God, please help them.

He took some courage before he called Angelique's parents and sent them to the hospital, he did not tell his parents about his fiancée's condition. Same goes for Ysabelle’s daddy, who according to the gentleman was on his way home because he had just arrived in the country and said he wanted to surprise his daughter.

When the parents of the two women arrived at the hospital, he immediately confessed what had happened and their daughters were in the ICU. Sab's daddy and Angeqliue's mom almost collapsed on the bad news.

It is good that his fiancée's mom is with her husband to calm her down. He also helped Sab's daddy to stand still because he felt his knee weakened.

"W-What happened, Volts?" Sab's dad immediately asked him.

He shrugged. "The police officers who are in charge in this case are still investigating about what happened," he said.

"It is impossible that Angelique's car engine was the reason of that huge explosion because she always check her car." Angelique's daddy explained.

“Why Angelique and my daughter were together? Are they friends? ” Sab's daddy asked curiously, which he also could not answer because he did not know how the two also got together.

When the doctor arrived, they hurriedly talk to him and asked about the condition of the two women, who according to him were both in a state of comatose due to serious major injuries because of the explosion.

They were allowed to enter the ICU room to visit the two women that made their respective parents cry over the outcome of their unica hija. He also had his heart broken when he saw the pitiful condition of the two.

EVERY DAY, Volts pray that the two women would wake up, but the two remain in coma. The cubicle where the two women are is just next to each other, so he often alternates his visiting with them.

He still could not believe what had happened to them, but his faith remained as steadfast as the parents of the two women close to his heart.

His dad also visits the two girls, and he is often the one who watches over the evening shift with his fiancée and a maid for Sab, her daddy got sick, so he couldn't be able to watch over her.

The condition of the two women has stabilized but their skin is still badly damaged so they still remain uncovered--except for their private parts--to dry the wounds immediately.

He felt guilty because before things had happened, he had hurt the two women; Sab, because he rejected her feelings and Angelique because of their misunderstanding.

Lately, his relationship with Angelique is not going well and sometimes he feels that this is no longer the woman he once met —she has become jealous and suspicious, she always thinks that he and Sab were doing something that she does not know .

Angelique always asks him about his true feelings for Sab because she told him that every time he sees Sab, he always have this special look for the woman — which told him that she could not see that look whenever she was with him.

He treasured Sab so much, but he could not reciprocate her feelings for him because there was already a woman for him.

He met Angelique three years ago because their daddies were business partners.

Their daddies had also arranged their first date until he courted her. She's his very ideal girl; beautiful, kind and modest, but her movements were too calculated and too far from the woman he thinks of, Sab's total opposite who is noisy, naughty and stubborn. They became an item, a year later before he finally proposed because of his daddy's motivation.

He was stubborn during high school and college days, but he gradually changed and became more serious about becoming a businessman when his mom had Alzheimer's disease, so he could not seal his own house because he wanted to take care of his mom— who can no longer remember them, some times.

In times when he is very down, Sab always lifts his spirit and he is very grateful for her and he wants to apologize repeatedly for hurting her feelings.

But if it was a sin to missed Sab more than Angelique in these moments, maybe he was commiting a sin Because in these moments, he misses her loudness and when she visits him and carrying donuts, her beautiful face and funny character.

And the weird thing was, when she talked about letting go of her feelings for him, it seemed like he wanted to stop her and what was more disturbing was whenever she thought about Zorick - her longtime suitor - his chest tightened.

He does not want to think that he is jealous of that situation because he has no right to be jealous because he does not own Sab and he already has a fiancée.

He heaved a sigh and gently held Sab's hand. "Please, wake up!" then he uttered a heartfelt prayer. He was there for a while before he returned to the cubicle where Angelique was.
