Rivalry

VOLTS quickly grabbed Sab's both shoulders to keep her away from kissing him then he distanced himself from her as if she had an infectious disease. She could not help it but feeling sad.l and hurt. He is the first man who ever break her heart but even though she was repeatedly hurt by him, she still doesn't give up since this man is the only one who she had fallen so hard.

"Are you out of your mind?" annoyed Volts said to her. "How many times do I have to remind you that I already have a fiancée and we are about to get married and you are not doing the right thing."

“Because I felt that you also have feelings for me. You were only forced to Angelique because of the partnership of your daddies.

"Of course not, I like her."

"Like, yes, you like her but you love me!"

"Sab, think about it, I will not marry her if I do not love her."

"And you will not come here if you are not worry about me because you love me too."

He shook his head and heaved a sigh. “I am here because I felt guilty for ignoring you and because you are sick. I'm still a friend, Sab.

"So, this is just for friendship?" she said hurting, he nodded. “Volts, your world will be boring because she’s not your ideal girl.

“Who told you that? Don't you know that i like finesse women?

"You told me then that you like women who can make you happy and change your world!"

"Everything change, Sab."

"But not my love for you, Volts."

He didn't answer. He bowed down then rubbed his neck. He saw something, pick it up on the floor and immediately turned to her. "And I also know that you're just pretending to be sick."

Her eyes widened as he showed her the garlic he had picked up. Why is she so careless? “Fine! I just want to see you, that's why I pretended to be sick. ” She confessed.

He shook his head and turned away from her. Perhaps restraining the annoyance he felt because of her deception, he briefly turned to the glass cabinet where her snow globe collections were placed before he spoke again.

"I need to go!" And before she could speak, he was out of her room already. She quickly followed him.

"Volts, wait!" she said, so he stopped walking. “Why you don't like me? What do you dislike about me? I am beautiful, smart, rich, and I can make you happy.

He slowly turned to her. "Because you just a friend to me, no more, no less." He answered. Ouch! Friendzoned at its finest! He finally went down their long stairs as she watched the man walk away.

Does she already need to give up? ‘No!’ Her heart cried out and ‘Yes!’ Her mind answered. He only think her as a friend and that will never change. The world is always ironic, because you love the person who never love you.

She heaved a sigh and felt so heartbroken, too. When she saw another pieces of garlic on her bed, she quickly picked it up and threw it and it hit the picture frame of him and Volts together - when they were super close.

AFTER Sab's work, she went straight to the donut shop because it's Aunt's Avvy, Volts' mom and of course Volts favorite. She wants to visit the lady. She lost her mom at early age and she considered Aunt Avvy as her second mom, but sadly at the age of forty-eight she was slapped with an Alzheimer's disease, which she also inherited from her mom and her heart was heavy to see that she no longer remember her but she is still the kindest and the sweetest.

She is well taking care of their family doctor and complete with medications. But she’s still the lovely Mrs. Vallejo except for the memory loss.

She used to be with Volts' dad in supervising the Double V Corporation, but only last year she was hit by that scary disease, though prior to that incident there was already a sign of forgetfulness.

After buying the donuts, she left the Mall to go to Vallejo mansion. She caught up with Aunt Avvy in the living room and doing some crochet. She smiled because she was so peaceful to look at and even though she could no longer remember her but she could still remember her passion for some things.

"Hello, tita!" she greeted her warmly, she quickly turned around. She stared at her for a moment to recognize her but her identity did not register to Aunt Avvy. "It's Sab, tita, Volts friend and your baby ganda." She said smiling. She always calls her ‘baby ganda; baby because she looks like young and ganda because she is really beautiful.

"Hello!" she answered and smiled a bit. She quickly approached her to kiss her on the cheeks and put down the box of donuts on the table. She quickly took her crochet hook and put it on the chair then opened the box of donut and handed her favorite flavor jacky chunk, Volts loves peanuts so his favorite is Crunchy crunchy.

"Thank you." She smiled at her then iquickly bit to the donuts and smiled again as it tasted good. "It tastes so yummy, thanks, baby Ganda." She said with a smile, which she nodded. "Are you my daughter's girlfriend?" she asked her.

She shook her head sadly. "Your son has already a fiancée, tita, and he doesn't like this beauty." Then she tapped her chin lightly and smiled.

“But why? You are so beautiful, are you joining a beauty contests, hija?

She smiled when she remembered that this was also the first thing the lady asked her when they first met. She nodded and smiled. "Way back in grade school to college, tita." And she won the Ms. Notredame Univeristy title, way back four years ago.

“Wow! But why doesn't my son like you? Or maybe because he has a lot of rivals with you?

She laughed at what she said. "How I wish that was the reason but he told me last time that he only think of me as a friend."

She nodded and looked sad. “It's a pity but remember that you are very beautiful, so surely many will still stumble upon you. Maybe my son's eyes are just blurred.” She immediately hugged her because she missed having a mom to cheer for her like this, aftet a while she let go of the hug and smiled at her.

"Maybe titazl, he needs an eye laser." She said laughing, which the lady nodded.

They were talking for a while when tito Victor and Volts have arrived, so she greeted them quickly, Volts was surprised to see her there, and she did not expect to see Angelique again. Volts quickly kissed his mom and so did Angelique, she also kissed tito Victor on the cheek.

"Is she my son's fiancée?" Aunt Avvy asked her and she nodded, she approached her for a whisper. "She looks like a principal." And they laughed together. When Volts cleared his throat loudly that's when they only stopped laughing.

"You can have dinner with us here, Sab," Uncle Victor invited her with a smile, which she quickly nodded. So, she and Aunt Avvy held hands and went to the dining table first.

She was very happy because the lady was still sweet to her, she was giving her dishes and all, that's why she love her very much because she felt that her mom had sent Aunt Avvy to her and that's why she also have a hard time letting go of her feelings for Volts because of her love for his family.

"When will kuya Voltaic return from Europe?" she asked, referring to the Volts' older brother, because kuya Voltaic has a business trip. And at the age of thirty she still doesn't hear any names of girls who can be the prospect to be his girlfriend.

"Maybe next month, he still have a big business proposal to make with a big client." Uncle Victor replied with a smile.

When she turned to Volts she caught him looking at her but he also quickly regained his composure and took care of Angelique immediately. Does she need to accept that they are only just friends? If only she could teach his heart to love him as much as he loves Angelique, She wished to experience to be Angelique, so that she could also taste the love of the man she love and maybe she would be the happiest woman in the world.

A dream that will never happen and if she does not want to make him angrier, she must stop this madness but her heart will be broken into pieces.

When they finished eating, she went to the living room with aunt Avvy and Angelique. The three of them sat on the sofa, Sab and Aunt Avvy facing Angelique.

"You got the same earrings and watches." Aunt Avvy commented on Angelique's jewelry, she quickly looked at the opposite woman and noticed that they were both wearing jewelries with same designs and brands.

"It's just a coincidence, tita." Angelique answered sparingly.

"I just love these accessories, tita and it suits me beautifully." She said with a smile.
