I finally discovered he was teasing me when he finally reached for the button of my floor.    

I quickly moved far away from him into the corner of the elevator, tucking my self into the side while muttering curses under my breath. I could feel his eyes on me watching me like a hawk who was looking for the right opportunity to attack its prey.

I immediately stopped daydreaming, when I felt Brian's glare at the side of my face and I knew why. I made the biggest mistake of my life by defying his boss and now i was going to face the consequences. At this point there is no hope for me again , because I knew I will definitely be fired  but I wa  not really worried about myself I was mainly worried about chief because he has a whole family .

The doors of the elevator slide open revealing a happy and smiling Alexia and Liam beside him.

" Hey Jess baby"Alexia smiled" I saw someone who looked very familiar to ..." her expression immediately changed and turned into pure horror when she discovered who is  in the same elevator as me, Liam couldn't even control his jaw from dropping.

I cleared my throat, and walked out of the elevator as if nothing as happened even though I felt like the ground should swallow me.

Immediately the doors of the elevator closed  I collapsed.

" What the fuck happened Jess.." Liam screamed in pure horror.

" OHHH MY GOD, I just feel like I should disappear from the face of the earth" I said crying " I feel like the ground should open and swallow me, I'm so doomed".

" How did this happen?, When did he arrive?, Why did he come so early today?".

I could feel the tears coming out of my eyes uncontrollably as I stared at the ground, waiting for it to open and swallow me .

" What do we do now?, ohh my gosh" Alexia said pacing with her hands at her two sides.

" Ohh my God I think, I'm gonna faint" I said as I leaned on the wall trying to steady my breathing.

" We need to find a solution to this matter, before it escalate".

" I think I'm just gonna submit my resignation letter" I said.

" You really need to start thinking before you talk,  do you think Mr Knight will think of letting you leave when you were just caught for deceiving him".

" What did I even do? It's not as if it was a big deal, i just sneezed it's not a crime" I whined

" I think the best thing is to go talk to chief right now" Alexia suggested.

" I can't put that man in more trouble" I said as I stood up from the cold floor.

On our way to chief’s office, we saw many people sitting on the chairs in the hallways near his office.

" What the hell is going on?"

" The interview for the new personal assistant for chief is going on" a random person answered.

" Just fucking great, if I get the chief fired I will also get the new personal assistant fired"i sighed.

" Well he may not face the wrath or be fired easily since he is an executive but you on the other hand, Well.." Liam said under his breath.

" Thank you so much sir for the encouraging words" I fired back.

I finally gathered the courage and knocked the chief’s door.

"Enter".

As we walked in, the chief looked up " What brings you kids here?".

" Unfortunately Jess has been caught" Alexia said straightforwardly.

" Do you have to add unfortunately, and you didn't have to be so straight forward" I hissed out.

" Well it is actually unfortunate" Alexia fired back

" its okay kids" Chief tried to calm us down"At this point there is really little to nothing we can do, we just have to wait for the repercussion".

" I'm so sorry chief, this is all my fault" I apologised 

" No child, it's okay we were bond to get caught" Chief tried consoling me.

" So what was his reaction when he saw you?".

" I think he smiled or smirked, I couldn't really differentiate" I said in confusion.

" Ohh my gosh jess, you have landed in an extra big trouble, Mr Knight doesn't smile or even reacts. But if he does the person is in grave danger" Liam exclaimed.

" Okay I think I've heard enough, Right now I need to go submit my resignation letter " I said as I turned on  my heels.

As I was about to print out my resignation letter,  our Vp called me 

" Yes ma'am"

" Miss bells, what could you have done to make Mr Knight want to meet with you personally".

" What?" I could feel everything around me still

" Well I just got the information that Mr Knight wants to see you personally".

...

I could feel everything going in slow motion immediately I got to Mr Knight office door.

I knocked on the door but I got no response so I knocked again.

" You can go in, he is expecting you" Brian said as he came to stand next to me.

" Okay, Thanks" I wiped my sweaty palm on my pants before I cautiously opened the door and entered.

I was inside a large room with plush couches sitting on either sides of the office, Big windows showing the view of the city and a grand shelve lining the right hand wall where files were neatly arranged and on either side of it were large and healthy looking flowers and plants in elegant pots. In the middle of the room sat a huge dark wood desk with a laptop and stakes of files and also a desk sign that showcases Mr Knight name.

Every single thing in the room was well organised, which made me mesmerised by the view.

As I trailed my eyes up , I saw Mr Knight back facing me while he was standing in front of the big glass windows staring at the city below him.

I felt fear grip me at that point. I slowly walked forward stopping at the front if his desk.

" Hmmmm... Jessie Bells isn't it?" Mr Knight said in a very cold voice.
