The ride is slow and steady, Rachel's eyes are out and glistening with the city lights as a slow music is on play and Kyle's murmurs along side. Her hair has been tampered with by the air and her eyes are closed when she sniffs in the cool breeze.

So, have you found that inspiration yet? Kyle asks and she turns to him.

"Still looking, but it's coming. Rachel's says not taking her face from the city light view."

"I was slightly shocked to see you here, last time I checked, you hated Stacy. Kyle says reducing the volume of music."

"Last time I checked, you told me you hated parties. Rachel answers facing him."

Okay, I'm here because I it's the beginning of spring break and I didn't wanna sit home for dinner. But, it's good...I mean you stole the attention and even got some major crushes.

Major crushes? Rachel asks in surprise.

That stunt you and Olive pulled. Kyle reminds her.

"Fine, not like I have a boyfriend. Rachel says increasing the must back."

So you want a boyfriend? Kyle asks.

"I didn't say that, I just thought if I was getting major crushes it wouldn't a bad thing cause I'm single."

So you don't want a boyfriend? Kyle asks.

"Will you stop asking me that? Especially when girls think you're hot! Rachel throws."

"They don't think so, i am...hot! Kyle says taking his face off the wheel for a second."

You wish.

Rachel smiles sheepishly.

"Tell me, Rachel Hobbins, what does a hot guy look like to you?"

He doesn't torment girls for a start! Rachel replies.

And what does a hot girl look like to you, you are definitely interested in big boobs, huh? Rachel asks.

You don't say! Kyle chuckles.

"I'm interested in hazel eyes, mustard skin and raven hair. Kyle's voice sends shivers to her spine."

Rachel faces him slowly, her heart is beating at the jokes Kyle always says and she thinks there's something wrong with the positioning of her heart. Was it because she drank too much juice, cocktail, what was inside that cup?!

Rachel goes silent and Kyle turns to her.

"I'm kidding. He says."

"Of course you are, Kyle. What do you think I am, stupid?"

"What if I wasn't kidding? He asks waiting to see the surprise in her face, but it doesn't come."

"Then, I would say yes if you asked me now. Rachel replies and Kyle doesn't except it."

You would? Kyle asks.

Rachel nods hoping he doesn't think she's been serious with what she said.

Finally, Kyle drops her in front of her lawn and she exhales, happy that he's out of the car and can now take the next move by running away from Kyle and her beating heart.

Rachel opens the door without saying bye and hops out of the car into her house. Kyle simply chuckles as he watches her little act.

"Oh, little Rachel." That is so like you. He says before driving away.

Rachel is out of the shower and she falls on her bed staring at the ceiling. In her mind, she knows something is wrong, from the way Olive talked about Kyle, to way he talked to her.

He's like a different version from who she knows, and she can't help but wonder why she is jaunt noticing it now. Did something hit her head or what, why is he proving to be a different person all of a sudden, especially one that sends shiver to her spine.

She remembers how tall he looked when he walked away from her, she remembers how her heart sped. It's never happens before, why was her heart forgetting that it was Kyle.

The same Kyle that she grew up with since they wore diapers. It shouldn't be like this!

Rachel exhales as she turns over the bed and what's he sees next is a picture of them together when they learnt how to ride a bicycle for the first time. After his dad passed away and her mom got divorced, they became closer like never before–it was because they both lost a parent and Kyle would never forget the friendship.

She holds the frame in her hands and she looks at Kyle's blue eyes, a smile curves her face and she chuckles.

He's holding an ice cream in one hand and trying to ride the bicycle at the same time.

Rachel can not help but remember how she fell off the bike too, he ran after her like she was more in a dangerous situation. He kissed her forehead and bought her ice cream.

It was Rachel's first kiss.

Rachel's fun buzzes under her pillow and she brings it out immediately.

And there it was, the same person she's thinking about and Rachel hears her heart thud like it's about to fall off her chest. She puts a hand over her chest wondering what's wrong with her, was a vessel missing in her body.

But, why is it only when Kyle pops up!

Why didn't it happen when she thought about something else, not that she has thought about something else since it started, but she has to figure this out, one way or the other.

Rachel answers the phone and places it over her ear.

"Yes, Kyle. She answers hoping that her voice is not showing the same nervousness as it is."

Did you mean what you said earlier? His voice sounds serious and without joke, unlike how he truly is. Playful, a joking character, it is all he does and she understand why he is missing every note of fun in his voice when he asks her that.

Why? Rachel asks, hoping desperately that her voice isn't wavering.

"Because I don't mind. Kyle replies."

Her heart drops again and she wonders if her can hear it from the speaker.

"Stop playing with me, Kyle. Find someone else, Rachel says hanging the call, looking at her self in the mirror."

And wondering when it all started.
