Chapter 5

The following day, Carl was woken by a beep on her phone.
She cleared her eyes and wondered why her phone beeped interrupting her sleep.
 "What could it be?
" She asked no one but herself.
She picked up her phone and first looked at the time.
It was 4am in the morning and she could still get a lot of rest before getting set for her father's birthday.
She took in a deep breath and opened her messages.
A smile crossed her face as she saw that her orders had been delivered.
She tiptoped into the living room so as not to wake her parents and opened the door.

 She smiled seeing two boxes.

She carried them each one by one into the house then shut the door.

She unwrapped one of the box and saw a beautifully decorated cake and smiled.

 "This is great.
" She said wrapping the box back.
She took the other box and smiled on seeing everything she ordered for.

She took in a deep breath and began to carry the box one by one to the store room.

Satisfied with everything, she went to her room and laid on the bed but couldn't sleep.

She took in a deep breath and got up from her bed to have her bath.

 "Alright.
" She said to herself minutes after she had her bath.
She sat down on her bed as she thought on what next to do.

She got up from the bed and walked to her wardrobe where she took out a floffy gown.

She walked to the mirror to check out the beauty of the gown.

 "This is really nice.
" She said and walked to her bed.
She placed the gown on her bed and applied some lotion to her skin after which she wore the gown.

Few minutes later, her phone rang and she picked it.

She smiled on seeing that it was the number of one of the person decorating the house.

 "Wow.
" She said going to the living room.
 "You can come in.
" She said into the phone and the door flew open.
She smiled looking at the men who entered her house.

 "Good morning Miss Robin.
" They all said and she replied their greetings.
Minutes later, they set to work and began to decorate the living room.

Minutes later, the door flew open again and the maid came in.
They all greeted her and went to their duty post.
Carl was happy with the maids being in the house.

She started giving orders to one of the maid who ran to do what she had been told to do.

Carl sat on a couch as she watched them decorate the living room.

When they were done decorating the living room, a maid walked in to clean the living room.

 "It's nice.
" Carl said looking at the living room as she followed the men to an area in the house.
The men set to work and carried out their work deligently.

Done with the part of the house, they moved to the next place.

An hour later, they were done with beautifying the house and walked to the back of the house where they sat to rest.

Carl walked back into the house and ordered a maid to bring 5 cup of soft drink to the men then left to join the men.

Getting to where the men were sitting, she had her sit in front of them facing them.

"Thank you for doing a nice job.
" She said and they nodded.
She noticed that one of them wasn't putting on same wear as the rest of them.

"May I know why he is the odd one out?
" Carl asked not wanting to be rude.
She felt that he followed them to her house just to work and wasn't working for the company.
But who does that now?, why won't he like to get paid?, "He might be a beggar who wants to get paid." Carl thought and shook her head with a smile appearing on her face.
  The man cleared his throat.

Carl admired his dressing style and blamed herself for thinking bad about him but why won't she when he was dressed differently from them.

He was handsome and had a good smile.

"Good day Miss, My name is Dylan.
I actually know you think of it weird for me wearing this while I work for same company as they are but I am a contract worker. I will be working with them for three more months before leaving." The man said and the remaining four nodded.
A drink was brought for the men but Dylan refused to drink.

Carl felt sad as she thought he didn't want to take the drink because of her earlier question.

" Miss, I know you think I don't want to drink this because of your earlier question but I don't want to take this because I don't drink outside.
" He said and Carl smiled.
She wondered how he knew what she was thinking.

 "Are you married?
" She asked and covered her mouth noticing her question.
 "Not yet, Miss.
" Dylan said sipping the water beside him.
 "Alright.
" Carl said keeping quiet.
 "What about you, Miss?
" Dylan asked with a smile.
 "I am also not married.
" Carl said.
 "In a relationship?
" Dylan asked.
 "Not yet.
" Carl said.
 "Planning?
" Dylan asked and she smiled.
 "Yes.
" She replied.
"Mind going out on a date with me?
, You can get to meet your soul mate while on a date with me." Dylan said and a smile crossed Carl's face.
 "I would love that.
" She said.
Dylan got up and had an handshake with Carl.
He gave her a card which had his number, The place he will like to have the date, The day of the date with some friendly words. After that he left with the remaining men.
Carl smiled looking at the card.

She walked into the house and opened the card then read the message.

"I love been friendly to people.
I hope to see you soon so we can establish a friendly relationship." The last paragraph of the letter read.
 Carl smiled on seeing it.

"He wishes to be my friend and nothing more, wow!
" She said smiling but a bit angry.
"I like his sense of humor but how dare him say a friendly date, He said I might mean my soul mate on the date but what if I choose to love him?
" She asked herself.
A maid walked up to her and noticed her sad expression.

"Miss, may I know what is wrong?
" The maid asked.
Carl looked at her angrily but had to stay calm.

She explained everything to the maid and she advised her to go on the date.

"Alright, I would think about it.
" Carl said and the maid nodded.
"I came here to let you know that everything is set.
" The maid said and Carl nodded.
"You all should gather as Dad would be coming out soon.
" Carl said.
She walked across the breakfast table and was amazed with what she saw.

She left for the store room and brought out the box of cake which she wrapped.

She carried the cake and walked to the living room.

Minutes later, her father walked out of his room and pieces of flowers fell on him and the light was switched on.

 Mrs.
Robin smiled and walked to the living room while her husband stood with flowers falling on him.
 "Happy birthday to you, father.
" Carl shouted while the maids shouted, "Happy birthday sir.
Carl placed the cake on the living room table and her father was asked to cut it while a picture was being captured.

Her mother was told to stand close to her husband and another picture was captured.
Carl also took a picture with her father same as the maids.
After the pictures, they all went to the breakfast table.

"Dad, you should open the bowls to see what is in them each.
" Carl said.
Her father opened each of the bowl and was very amazed.

The food was served and the maids also sat with them as they ate.

"Thank you for this wonderful meal, Natalie.
" Mr. Robin said as he finished his meal.
Everyone finished their meal and a maid stood up and cleared the table.

"We all should play a game.
" Carl said and her father smiled.
"What game do you like us to play?
" Mr. Robin asked.
"You should decide for us, father.
" Carl said.
 Mr.
Robin chose a game and they all started.
They all were to be blindfolded while they choose a person by saying the name of the person and hold the person's hand.

A maid volunteered to do the work while the rest were to be blindfolded.

They all moved to the living room and everything was cleared.

They were all blindfolded including the family and the maid who wasn't blindfolded changed their position.

 "Let's start.
" She said.
 "Starting with father.
" Carl said with her eyes blindfolded.
 "I choose my wife.
" Mrs. Robin said and got up.
He located his wife and hugged her.

The maid who wasn't blindfolded clapped and removed the blindfold from the both of them eye and they left.

Next was Carl who didn't know who to choose but later chose Esther, the maid who does the laundry.

The game went on till they all had gotten their right partner.

After the game, Natalie walked into the kitchen and brought out some drinks for all of them which they all drank and rested a bit.

An hour later, the maids announced their departure and left.

 Mr.
Robin looked at his daughter. He was proud of her.
"I won't be going to the beach today but tomorrow.
I am so proud of you, Carl." He said and Carl smiled.
Carl walked to her room and smiled.
She was so happy. She looked again at the card.
