Chapter Six

ANTHONY POV

I angrily threw the ring across the room and sat down on the couch, defeated. All I kept seeing was Clarissa, but there was nothing around her to help me identify where she was. I was so frustrated and upset. I decided that tomorrow I would walk around the area she was in last to see if I could find anything.

For now, I felt like getting completely drunk except it took about three times the amount of alcohol for a regular human to get myself drunk. I made my way downstairs and walked over to the bar. On my way towards the bar I passed by the restaurant. I caught a glimpse of shiny black hair and I spun around to see the girl from my first day. I watched as she smiled brilliantly at a customer and turn to walk away. She looked so beautiful and serene. I stood there staring like an idiot as she worked and then she looked up at me. At first, she looked alarmed until she realized it was me and she smirked. She turned away and walked out of my sight.

I ran a hand through my hair and cleared my head. I needed a drink, I thought and continued to walk over to the bar. I sat on a stool and placed my elbow on the surface to prop up my head.

"Hey, what can I get for you today?" A cute redhead drawled sweetly. I squinted at her name tag and smiled slightly.

"Hey, Angeline can you get me five shots of vodka to start?" I asked, huskily and smirked as she turned the same colour as her hair.

"I... I'm going to-to need some I-ID," she stuttered and looked away from my smouldering hazel eyes.

I placed my hand on hers and made her look at me. "Get me my shots, please," I said and my eyes flashed. She gave me a blank look and moved away to get my order. I lazily leaned back and waited.

"Here you are. Should I put this on your tab?" she asked once she brought my drinks.

"Sure, I don't care," I answered and scribbled my room number down. "Don't feel shy to visit me," I added with a wink.

She moved off still bright red and I downed my first shot. The liquid burned down my throat and I savored it greatly. One thing humans got right was alcohol and it's too bad there wasn't any in Hell. I licked my lips and the taste was still there. I had just finished my fourth one when someone slipped into the chair next to me and reached over to steal my last one.

"Look, I'm not sharing," I stated and turned around to face a pair of crystal blue eyes.

"Not even with me?" she asked, timidly and pouted slightly.

"You don't do shots, remember?" I asked and she smiled.

"I thought you wouldn't remember me," she answered, honestly as she avoided my eyes.

"How could I forget you, Tatiana?" I asked, simply and she blushed slightly. Her black hair covered half of her face when she moved and I couldn't tell if she meant to do that to hide her flushed face. She was still wearing her waitress uniform and she had her legs crossed under her short black skirt.

"Same with you. There seems to be something about you that's different," she stated and she finally met my eyes.

"I happen to be one of a kind, baby," I answered and her melodious laugh filled my ears.

"Geez, you need to decrease the size of your head or else you will turn everyone off," she said, playfully and swatted my arm.

"So, are you going to drink that yet because I want it," I asked, impatiently and I watched as she got a mischievous look in her eyes. Then she knocked the shot back in one go and smirked at me.

"Since you wanted it I just had to have it," she responded and smiled.

"Oh, really, but if you haven't realized I could order a lot more," I retorted and I wave down the bartender to get more.

"Whatever" she answered and pushed me softly. I could still feel the heat from her hand on my arm.

"Do you work here every night?" I asked, suddenly.

"Umm... every Tuesday and Thursday," she answered as she tapped her chin cutely. I made note that today was Tuesday and I watched as Tatiana thanked the girl as she brought our drinks.

"Cheers?" I asked. She rolled her eyes and took her own.

"Cheers," she responded and knocked it back again. I drank mine and she continued to grin at me.

"Tell me what you like," I said and her brow furrowed as she thought about it.

"I like to draw and stuff," she responded and then took another shot. "What about you?" she asked once she finished.

"Music," I murmured and frowned when she looked at me skeptically.

"What?" I asked.

"I didn't think I could see you as a musician, but I do kind of see it now," she responded, smiling.

"Thanks... I guess," I answered and she giggled.

"You want to know what else I like?" she whispered and placed her hand on my leg as she leaned closer.

"Tell me," I murmured in her ear and I watched as she shivered.

"Ice cream!" she exclaimed and pushed away from me, smiling. She seemed to be semi-drunk since she still had control. Her head perked up and she jumped up.

"Let's go dancing!" she exclaimed and I probably looked confused. "There is this amazing club about seven minutes away," she explained and started dragging me out of the bar.

"First, I'm going to get something to wear from the gift shop," she decided once she noticed she was still in her waitress uniform.

I watched as she grabbed a strapless short black and red dress from the first rack we saw and brought it straight to the cash without trying it on or anything. I didn't say anything and waited patiently as she changed in the washroom. When she walked out my jaw dropped and she giggled. The dress was tight around her chest and not too revealing, but it left you guessing. The bottom fell in the middle of her toned thighs and it was sprawled out in layers of black and red.

"You like?" she asked smiling and twirling around. The bottom flew a little higher than it would normally be. I felt myself swallow hard and I smiled slightly.

"Yeah, you look great," I told her honestly. Her grin widened and she walked over to hold my hand. I let her bring me away hand in hand and when we got to the club she walked right past the lineup. She ignored all the yelling and rude comments.

"Hey Timmy, longtime no see," she told the bouncer and he smiled. He was really large and muscular with brown hair. I couldn't see his eyes since they were covered with dark sunglasses.

"Don't go too crazy, Tatiana," he warned and she nodded. "Thanks, Timmy, you're the best," she said sweetly and dragged me in after her. I caught the warning look from Timmy and I gulped.

We walked inside the club and the lights were dimmed. Flashing colours appeared every now and then. The disco ball was shining brightly as well casting flecks of silver over everyone. Bodies were packed together as they moved and we struggled to make it through the crowd. The smell of sweat and perfume was overwhelming for my sensitive nose.

When we found a spot she started to dance and I was mesmerized. A beat was pulsating through the speakers and she moved her hips side to side in rhythm. She looked up at me and pulled my arms closer. We moved together and I let my hands trail along her waist. She turned around and pressed herself closer to me as she moved her hips seductively. She looked up at me and smiled innocently. She pulled away and used my arm to twirl herself around and I laughed. We continued to dance and do random moves here and there. At some point, I ended up with my hands on her slim waist and we were moving our bodies together. We were inches apart and slowly everything was being drowned out. My focus was only on her blue eyes and everyone else disappeared. She leaned closer and I felt her soft lips brush against my own. I pulled away quickly and I saw her flush with embarrassment. I ignored it because I couldn't kiss her no matter how much I wanted to and we continued to dance, but she wouldn't meet my eyes.

Finally, when she had had enough of dancing we walked over to the bar to get a drink. I tossed the bartender my credit card and order two shots. She didn't to protest and I turned to look at her. Her breathing was heavy and she was leaning forward on the bar still avoiding my gaze.

When the guy brought our drinks. She reached for her drink and drunk it all.

"Wow, you dance really well," she said after a bit and smiled brightly at me. Her mood seemed to have done a one-eighty.

"Are you saying that my advanced moves didn't impress you?" I asked in mock disbelief and she giggled.

"I was swept away," she said, teasingly and she fluttered her eyelashes at me.

"That hurts, Tiana," I exclaimed and she reached over to hug my arm.

"I'm sorryyy" she said in a little girl voice and I cracked a smile. She tried to take my drink and I took it away before she could take it.

"Why did you do that?" she asked pouting and she crossed her arms.

"You're already drunk enough and I should get you home," I told her, seriously.

"I don't want to go home," she whined. "Can't I just stay with you?"

"Fine, we can go now then," I told her and she didn't protest. I helped her off her seat and she smiled gratefully. She wobbled as she walked, so I carried her bridal style and she snuggled closer to me. I struggled through the crowd, but I had finally made it to the door. Once, we made it outside I noticed people taking our picture and I frowned. What was so special about us? Either way, I continued to walk and I made it back to the hotel. As I waited in the elevator I looked at her gentle face. Her crystalline blue eyes watched me and I unconsciously stroked her cheek softly. She grinned up at me and she looked so perfect. The elevator dinged and I walked to my room. I unlocked the door and walked through.

"Are you okay to walk?" I asked, softly.

"Yesh," she slurred slightly and I placed her down. She fell after five seconds and I picked her up again. I brought her into the room and tried to place her in the bed, but she wouldn't let go off me. So I placed her on the ground and she gripped me tighter to her.

"I don't want to," she stated, firmly.

"But you have to because you need to sleep," I told her and tried to push her towards the bed. Her eyes locked with mine and I wanted to use my powers, but I couldn't. Not on her.

"Please, go to bed," I said, gently and she looked up again.

"You're so hot," she mumbled looking at me through her lashes and smiled flirtatiously.

"Thanks, but-" I started to say, but I was cut off because she had kissed me. It was sloppy and urgent. I pushed her away and she slumped onto the bed.

"Why won't you kiss me?" she demanded, quietly. I didn't answer. I just sat down next to her and wrapped her into a hug. I just didn’t want to take advantage of her. I didn’t want to do this in the wrong way.

"Don't leave me," she begged and hugged me closer. "Promise, you'll stay."

"Okay, I promise," I whispered and she got into the bed. I kissed her forehead and got into the bed as well. I fell asleep with her in my arms and for once, I didn't feel so alone.

TATIANA POV

I felt so comfortable and warm. My eyes fluttered open and I had a raging headache. I blinked a few times and saw a head with black hair in front of me. I pushed the hair and saw a really cute guy fast asleep. I felt a warm feeling fill my stomach and my heart started to beat faster. Then I started to realize he had his strong bare arms around me and we were sharing a bed.

What the hell happened last night?! All I could remember was meeting him at the bar and how he had pushed me away after I had tried to kiss him. That must have been a mistake and I was too drunk to control my actions. Please tell me I didn't lose my virginity to this random guy and I checked under the covers. I realized I was still clothed, but in a really short dress. Meanwhile, he was wearing only a pair of black boxers and he had a mouthwatering body. I shook my head and dropped the covers. I bit my lip and started to inch away, but his arms tightened and he mumbled, "where are you going?"

"Away. Far far away," I snapped and tried to pull away. "Let go!" I yelled and his hazel eyes flew open, but they softened when he saw me.

"Don't leave, Tatiana," he murmured and pulled me closer.

"Seriously, get off," I ordered and he pouted, but he still pulled his arms away. When I got up I lost my balance and fell to the carpeted ground. Worst hangover in the world, I thought miserably and made my way to the washroom. My head was pounding and I felt like shit. I heard him get up and leave the room, but I just stayed on my knees, cradling my head.

"Here take some Advil," he said and I saw he was holding a bottle of water with some pills.

"Thanks," I muttered and took them from him. I swallowed the pills and I stayed on the floor, waiting for them to work. Once I felt slightly better I stood up and rubbed my eyes.

"What time is it?" I asked, grudgingly.

"It is eleven o'clock," he told me and my eyes widened in shock.

"Fuck! I'm so late for school," I said and made my way to the door. I still felt out of it though.

"Wait! Why are you leaving?" he asked as his hand caught my wrist. He looked at me pleadingly and I felt my resolve falter. Especially since he was still shirtless with only a pair of dark jeans on now.

"I have to go and whatever happened last night you can forget it," I told him coldly as I walked out. I made my way down to the lobby and fished out my car keys from my pocket. Thankfully, it didn't seem like Anthony stole anything. I got outside and I had to block the sun from my eyes. I unlocked my car and got in. There was no way, I was going to go to school in my skimpy dress from last night.

Once I got home, I went upstairs to change and grab something to eat. I changed into a pair of grey ripped skinny jeans with a purple My Chemical Romance shirt. My head spun again and I had to sit down. Man, hangovers suck, I thought. I groaned and pushed myself up. I grabbed a pair of neon green Ray-Bans and placed them on my face. I walked downstairs and I ran into Linda.

"Where were you last night, Miss Tatiana?" she demanded her hands on her hips. I looked her over and she was wearing a really simple top and simple jeans. Her brown hair was in a messy bun and her eyes were stern. For a thirty year old, she was pretty scary.

"I crashed at a friend’s house and could you not yell?" I asked and walked past her. I didn't mean to be rude, but I tried to avoid people when I had a hangover.

"Your father wants to talk to you," she called after me and I mentally cursed. He was going take away my Ferrari and I just knew it. Damn. Might as well enjoy it while I can, I decided. I walked upstairs and took some more pills then I went outside. I hopped inside my car and made my way to school. I pulled down the top and let the wind play through my hair.

CLARISSA POV.

I was sitting in my history class and I was on the verge of dying. I saw Tatiana's empty chair and I wondered what had happened to her last night because she hadn't come home. I remember, I was finishing up some more homework and then I had checked the time and it said 9:00 pm and she had left at five thirty. Then I was reading a book from her bookshelf and I had fallen asleep in her room. I woke up this morning and she wasn't there when I got ready. Then I asked Linda to drive me and I was hoping Tatiana would somehow get to school, but she wasn't there. I didn't get a bad feeling which I usually got when something bad happened and that was what was keeping me calm.

The bell rung for lunch, pulling me out of my trance and I got up to leave. I tripped over myself and my all of my books fell. I reached down to pick them up and I saw another pair of hands helping me. I looked up and noticed they were connected to a really attractive guy. He had wavy blonde hair and soft brown eyes. He was muscular and when he smiled I saw his adorable dimples.

"Here you go," he said offering my books. I nearly died because he had a delicious accent, but I couldn't decide whether it was Australian or British.

"Thanks, I'm kind of clumsy," I admitted and took my books from him. I started walking out and he followed after me.

"I'm Zack Carnell," he said, flashing his dimples again.

"Clarissa, but you can call me Claire," I told him and returned the smile.

"So you're the new girl?" he asked as we walked.

"Yeah, and it's not as bad as I thought it would be," I answered, grinning.

"That's good. I know what it's like to be new," he said and grimaced.

"Yeah, but I know Tatiana so it's not as bad, I guess" I told him. "When were you new?"

"Actually, it was two years ago and didn't know anyone. I moved from England" he said and I felt myself only focus on his accent. It just made him ten times hotter.

"Cool, I've never been to England. Do you miss it?" I asked once I snapped out of my daydream.

"Sometimes, but I've moved on," he said shrugging and I smiled. He was nice and really sexy.

"You know, Kyle told me you were hot, but I wasn't expecting you to be this gorgeous," he stated and I stopped walking.

"That's so sweet," I said and looked up in his brown eyes.

"Just telling the truth," he responded shrugging and I smiled.

"Thanks, I guess," I replied, giggling nervously.

"I was actually wondering if you wanted to go out and get to know each other better," he mentioned and stepped closer.

"That's nice ... but I'll have to say no," I answered and stepped away from him. I frowned because it would have been nice, but I didn't need a guy in my life.

I walked off to find Sam and Leah. That was the third guy that had asked me out already and the one before just asked me abruptly. I didn't want to seem like a bitch, but I didn't need a guy in my life. Hell, I barely know what my life is at the moment. I can't keep depending on Tatiana though. I walked off and found the girls outside. I went to sit down and began eating my lunch. We were all talking and having fun. I understood why Tatiana liked them because they were really cool and funny.

When the bell rang we all said goodbye and made our way inside. My class after lunch had ended and I got up. I walked towards my locker and noticed a girl with green Ray bans waiting for me. When she waved me over I realized it was Tatiana.

"Hey, where were you last night?" I asked the minute she was in earshot.

"Long story short, I got drunk and this guy let me crash in his room ... or bed," she said, quickly and I gapped at her.

"You slept with a random guy?" I demanded loudly and she flew forward to cover my mouth.

"Damn, try not to be so loud. I've got a major hangover and yes I did, but nothing happened. The guy happened to be Anthony," she said and remove her hand from my face.

"You're so lucky nothing happened," I whispered loudly.

"Ugh, I know and I'm getting in so much trouble when my parents find out," she whined and leaned against the lockers.

"Well, I've got to go. I'll see you later and try not to get knocked up," I teased and she scowled.

At the end of the day we drove home and walked up to her room to work. We had our stuff sprawled around and we were munching on some chips. Tatiana was on her stomach with her arms propped up as she ate and did her homework.

"What's new, cockatoo?" she asked me once we were settled in and I cracked a smile at her rhyme.

"Umm... Zack Carnell, asked me out and apparently Kyle talked about me to him," I told her and her eyes got really wide.

"You said yes, right?" she asked, curiously.

"No, I turned him down," I replied and shrugged.

"Wow, he must have been so surprised since he is one of the hottest guys in our school," she said, laughing.

"I wonder why they're all asking me out," I wondered out loud.

"You are really beautiful and I guess the guys notice you," she answered for me as she worked.

"Thanks," I said and frowned at her remark. I sat there as I work and my head started hurting. I closed my eyes and then opened them again.

Suddenly, my whole vision turned red. Blood red. The room was gone and everything I saw was ... blood. I screamed and everything turned black.

ANTHONY POV

I was still in my bed and I was just lying there. Tatiana had left in such a hurry and she wanted me to forget about everything. She was the first girl that has ever slept with me and we didn't do anything. Her body had felt so warm against mine, even through her dress. I had a lot fun last night with her and I wanted to see her again. I pushed myself to get up and I went to find the enchanted ring. Then I realized I has forgotten her last name so I decided to look her up. I walked downstairs into the lobby and went to the receptionist.

"Hey, I would like to use your computer?" I said, but more like a question.

"It’s right over in that large room,” she responded as she typed on her computer.

I walked over to the computer and waited for it to turn on. It was Mac and pretty large. I think I would go shopping and get myself a laptop, phone and other human things soon. When it turned on, I opened up the internet and typed in "Tatiana New York City" and a ton of links appeared. I read over them and I picked the first one.

"Tatiana Davey daughter of Lucas Davey one of richest men in New York."

I learned she was filthy rich and apart of the high society. She didn't really dress with the all the fashion labels and preferred converse over heels. I saw pictures of her at Hollywood events or important functions and she looked stunning. Then I saw pictures of her walking outside in leggings and loose band T-shirt. She didn't seem to be too wild and she didn't waste her dad’s money away. She attended York Prep and she is a part of the art program. Her mother left her when she was really young and had a step mother that she really loved. She is an only child and lives in a mansion, but it didn't tell me the address. She is basically everyone’s favourite socialite because she isn't stuck up and rude to everyone. The one thing that caught my eye though, is that she is engaged to Darren Little. The heir to an important and expensive enterprise. I needed to win her over before she got married, I realized. What I don't understand is that even though she's engaged, she flirted with me and she even kissed me.

I closed the computer and walked back to my room. I pulled out the ring again and whispered Tatiana's full name. The image appeared and I smiled, but it turned into a frown. Her face was panicked and it seemed like she was yelling for help. She was bent over someone, but I couldn't see who. Then the picture disappeared and I was left to wonder what had happened.
