Chapter 57

Anuradha was looking at her new version of self, in the mirror, only to find that a woman in a wedding dress was staring back at her as if she was someone else. In fact, she turned to someone whom she had never wanted-- Mrs Anuradha Rakshit Randhawa. Now she had begun to hate her reflection as well, because of the painful fact or the reality that she had tied the knot with Rakshit. She was not only a single mother, but also a wife of someone she loathed more than anything.

It had been a few hours that their marriage was held on, surprisingly with no drama or any villainous acts from his opponent's side which mainly included Rinisha and her family, and the next one whom Rakshit had not acknowledged yet, was his best friend-- Shaurya. Rakshit had taken all precautions as Anuradha got a threatening letter and they had an argument later. And that resulted in him taking Anuradha, Ved and Avantika to his farmhouse where they were safe until the wedding. Thus the move made his enemies not dare to even lift their fingers. And they got married without even falling into anyone's evil eyes, and had decided to do a small reception later as Anuradha was not comfortable enough to face the reality of their marriage, and more precisely, his friends who were equally as evil as him. Thinking about it wisely, Rakshit made sure himself, she would not have to go through another turmoil because of him.

Anuradha looked up to the clock, and it showed 10:33, she sighed and turned to the door side, expecting her newly wedded husband, barged into the room to move on to the first night ritual. She cursed inwardly, calling him all colourful words. She had prepared herself for the fight which undoubtedly was going to happen when he entered. This night she had been forced to be alone with him as Avantika had taken Vedant to bed in her room, claiming she would miss him in the future and moreover husband-wife should be alone on this particular night where they might have a lot of things to say about their future. And Avantika also gave her a lecture about how to be a good little wife as a mother's responsibility.

Anuradha had a look at his room, now it belonged to her as well, and was decorated beautifully for a perfect wedding night. She just wanted to throw everything at his face that would give her little satisfaction.

Anuradha had been her own world, thinking about the possible things he would try to flatter her tonight when Rakshit entered without announcing.

He walked past her toward the decorated bed, speaking to her who stood there watching him. "I am so sorry. I have made you wait a long time. Trust me, I didn't intend to, but my friends...you know the friends thing when one of them gets married." He did not look up to her as he was removing rose petals on the bed as well as the flowers. "Just five more minutes, I will be done." He carefully removed everything and put them in a corner of the room.

She was clueless for sometime until she asked because her curiosity had not left her silent. "What are you doing?"

Rakshit turned to her with a mischievous smile. "We don't want such things to enhance our first night, do we?"

"First night, my foot!" She turned to the other side, muttering under her breath.

He heard it, but didn't get provoked like old times, instead he chose to be silent as it would be beneficial for their future. Making the bed again, he turned around to leave the room when he was about to pass the door, she asked; "Where do you think you are going?"

"Will be back, wifey." He replied, smiling.

"Hey, don't wifey me." She warned his retreating figure.

She had to wait a little more to know what was going on in his head and what crooked play he would play.

It had not taken more than five minutes, Rakshit appeared at the door again, not alone but Vedant in his arms sleeping.

"Ved!" Anuradha stalked towards them when she saw him moving forward.

"Shhh...he's sleeping." Rakshit said in a low voice as he made his son lay on the middle of the bed.

"He's gonna sleep here...with us?" She would never imagine Rakshit had entirely crushed her prejudices about the night.

"Or where else does he has to be?" Rakshit covered his son and kissed his temple. "He is our son. And this is our special day, without him this night won't be over."

"Seriously?" She did not believe he would do such a thing.

"Yeah, seriously." He joined his son on the bed.

"I am surprised. You don't want to get me alone tonight as you wish." She remarked more like a taunt.

"I would be glad, if you really meant it. But, I know what I want right now, that's a peaceful sleep with my family for the first time." He cuddles his son as closing his eyes.

"What's in your mind? Say it now!" She demanded, because she would not believe his innocent act.

"We have a whole life before us. Now it's time for sleep." He said to her calmly.

"You--" she was about to argue further when he cut her off.

"Good night!" He switched off the lights, leaving a small table lamp.

"Rakshit!" She called him, ignoring Vedant was sleeping beside him.

He dared not to respond to her call as it would lead to an unnecessary fight, and that's the least thing he wanted now.

Anuradha sat on the bed, staring at the father and son who were sleeping.
It was not like the way their wedding night she had imagined in her mind until he proved otherwise. Their journey had just begun, she was not prepared enough to welcome or even face his redemptions.

Thanks a lot my readers!

Before throwing your bad comments, angry feelings at me, please keep in mind that I can't do this anymore.
Yeah, this story is going to be incomplete just like its author or I am being a writer. I am so sorry to say, I am forced to stop my writing career as well as the story since I am not committed to this story ( I mean not any official contract with sofa novel), I can leave it right here. I have no choice, but to complete my new story in an owo novel, because it's a contract, and after that I will say goodbye to my writing, maybe forever. Because it is high time to come out of my bubble of story world and live my real life. I am sorry to say, I can't write anything because of my own personal reasons. So, Loving the Sins, has ended here without its incompleteness. I will also update its remaining part as I imagined with some changes.
