CHAPTER 2

“I don’t know Vishal, this aggression is taking me to a next level. It feels that I have a lot of pent up energy locked within me and I need to release it.” Said Dev as he clutched his head with both hands.

“I understand that dude, and that is why you have a premium gym membership, gym in the office and a gym at your home. So that you can go and burn some stress as and when you need to. Make a use of those equipments and luxuries, is instead of trying to kill a possible client.” Said the boy in a green shirt and grey pants as he took a seat in front of the so-called boss cum his friend and soul-brother.

“You don’t understand Vishal. I have zero-level tolerance if someone disrespects me. It is like my soul craves that respect; it feeds on people’s submission and unless and until someone unworthy of my respect submits to me, I cannot or should I say could not restrain myself.

“I think you need some of Didi Maa’s magical tea to calm down yourself.” Vishal suggested.

“No, I cannot make Maa worry anymore about my mental health. I think I need to see a doctor and change my diet to a more nutrient one. What say?

“I think you should go for that one. I’ll book an immediate appointment with Dr. Rehaan for two.

“Two?” Dev quizzed.

“You are not the only one facing stress. Being your friend and soul-brother is more stressful in it’s ownself. Plus, it is never harmful to try and get a good diet.” He joked.

“Hello, Rehaan? Vishal here. I need an appointment for both of us.

“Yes, both Dev and Me.

“I know you are done with us. But it is not my fault that Dev is not exactly an obedient patient.

“Ok. Done. See you at 6:00pm. Bye”

“What was he saying?” Dev asked.

“Nothing just that he has a surprise for you when we get there.” Vishal smirked.

“Be ready at 5:00pm. We have an appointment for exactly 6:00pm” and with that Vishal easily strolled out of his partner’s cabin.

“Don’t you dare leave the premises now Miss Basu. I have a new patient for you.” Rehaan said as he saw his junior doctor ready to leave the premises of Dhanvantri Hospital.

“Let me guess another of those disobedient patients who gave no heeds to your plan but you still want them to recover?” Sonakshi asked.

“Yes.

“I don’t understand doctor why do you bother with such jerk of patients? Afterall, it is their health at stake instead of your’s.

“Because as a doctor it is our responsibility to ensure that the patient improves his health even though the patient appears to be a bit careless.” Rehaan added, stressing on the word responsibility, to remind the impulsive lady of her duty as a doctor.

“I don’t believe in the idealistic ideas like you senior. I cannot beat up myself worrying about a careless patient, who has least interest in his health. Had it been another case, trust me senior, I would’ve sacrificed my precious sleep just to make sure that the patient is recovering. I am only responsible for those who are responsible for themselves.” She said.

“You don’t have an option Miss Basu. As a senior I order you to stay back and wait for the appointment with the patient. They will be here by 6:00pm.” Rehaan said in his professional tone.

“Well in that case Senior Doctor Rehaan, make sure you inform the patient that it is either my way or high way.” She said as she stepped back in her cabin, waiting for the clock to strike 6:00pm.

“You better be on time Dixit for you have a hell of a surprise waiting for you.” Rehaan mused in his ownself.

“Ready for the appointment Dixit?” Vishal said as he entered the cabin of his lovely, dearest best friend.

“Yes. Let’s get on the road.” He said wrapping up his work.

Just as both the partners were about to step out of the cabin a boy frantically rushed in, trying to catch a breath.

“What happened Kunal? Why are you in such a rush?” asked Dev.

“Sorry Sir for this slip up but it was carelessness on behalf of the temp.” Kunal spoke in a certain rush.

“What are you talking about in such a gibberish manner? Speak clearly.

“Sir actually, the temp had fixed a meeting with the new investors and she totally forgot to inform you. They are coming in now.” Kunal informed.

“Now? You know we have another appointment. Cancel that meeting.” Vishal said angrily, fuming at the irresponsible behaviour of the temp staff.

“No, wait Kunal. Escort them to the conference room on the third floor. We’ll be there in a while.” Even before Vishal could voice out his protest Dev started speaking again, “it is just a doctor’s appointment Vishal. This new investor is far more important, and I am sure that Rehaan will understand. Afterall, this is not the first time.

Unable to form a comment against Dev’s command, Vishal resided to his silence.

“It is past seven o’ clock. I cannot wait for a man who is not punctual for his health appointment. Ask him to come tomorrow and too as per the preference of my time-schedule. Good Night Senior.” And with that Sonakshi picked up her bag and left the Dhanvantri Hospital, angry at her Senior’s worry for such careless and irresponsible beings and fuming at the jerk with no value of his and other’s time.
