Chapter 6

Charlotte POV:

"Hey, let me carry that for you" Tyrell says, looking down at my pile of books.

"No, it's okay. I got it" I say with a thankful smile. He rolled his eyes before taking my books from me. I smile up at him, grateful that he took my books from me.

"Thank you" I say and he grinned. He was extremely good looking, but I knew deep down that soon I wouldn't be able to see him again. Since they have been after us, we haven't been able to stay in one place for too long.

"It's okay. What you got?" He asked, bringing me out of my thoughts. I sighed when I realised what subject I had.

"Math" I say and he chuckled quietly.

"Aw, it sucks to be you then" He teased and I chuckled.

"So, what are you doing today after school?" He asked, a small hint of nervousness to his voice.

And it made my stomach flutter.

It also made me upset. I knew that he was going to ask if we wanted to hang- I wasn't going to pretend I didn't. But I couldn't. And that made my heart feel heavy.

The phone call this morning, reminded me that it isn't safe. It isn't safe for me to hang around with Ty. What if they saw me with him and went after him?

"Well, I've still got to unpack and make sure my sister is okay" I say with a smile.

I saw his smile drop and he rubbed his neck, "Oh yeah. Sure" He says and I began to feel really bad.

"I'm not busy Thursday" I say with a smile. Today was Tuesday and it gave me enough time to track his phone and always keep an eye on where he was. I wanted to be safe, especially if I was going out with Ty. I wanted nothing bad to happen to Ty and two days gave me enough time to find his location so he doesn't find mine first.

His smile returned.

"That's cool. Wanna hang out? We can go to the arcade or something? It's up to you really" He begins to ramble and I laugh before smiling.

"The arcade sounds great" I say and he grinned.

I looked to see Ty smiling, his eyes lighting up.

"Okay, that's cool. I'll see you after math" he says, a smile on his lips.

"Will do" I say and was completely shocked when Ty leaned forward and kissed my cheek. His lips lingered on my cheek for a few seconds before he leaned back and beamed at me.

I felt my stomach flutter.

"Bye Char" he says before laughing at my shocked expression.

"Bye Ty" I grin, and felt my cheeks heat up when I giggled.

I never giggle, in fact, the last time I giggled I was 5 years old and a boy said he thought I was cute.

He waved goodbye before we both went our seperate ways to class.
