Chapter 4

Charlotte POV:

It wasn't long before it was the end of the day.

"Bye Char" Tyrrell says, giving me a small smile.

"Bye" I smiled, before rushing over to my sisters car.

"Hey Charlotte, how was your first day?" My older sister, Camilla smiled.

"It was okay" I say, putting on my seat belt before she begins to drive to the place I call home.

"She called" Camilla says softly. Camilla was beautiful but looked nothing like me. Long blond hair, green eyes and she was tall and slim. She was simply stunning.

I felt myself get upset before I feel angry. She has no right to call. She has no right to try to come back into our lives when we left.

"What did she want?" I ask, I looked at her to see her eyes flicker to me before she looked back at the road.

"She wanted to talk to you" Camilla says, she sounds sad. I get why. Our mother always liked other girls over us; her daughters. She always pointed out in the street all the beautiful girls, prettier than us and slimmer, and smarter, and brighter.

"In future, tell her I told her to go to hell" I almost spat but then remembered I was with Camilla. She wasn't violent, the complete opposite to me. Not that I went around beating people up. It was more, when I got angry I had to take my anger out. Camilla was the exact opposite. She would get upset, usually cry, and not do anything about the problem.

"I- I can't say that" She says weakly, "She is still our mum. She bought us up well for the first few years" Camilla explains and I shrug.

"Give me your phone when she asks and I'll tell her myself" I say, she might've bought us up well for a few years, but that doesn't mean she can treat us like shit afterwards.

Camilla sighs, parking the car.

She hates it when I get angry because I would disappear for hours and come home exhausted.

I noticed that Camilla was acting weird. She kept looking at me, as if to make sure I was okay. She kept looking over her shoulder when she heard a car, and lastly, she locked the doors and shut the windows when we arrived home.

"What is it?" I ask when she shut the last window.

She visibly froze, her arm mid air before it fell to her side.

When I saw a tear fall, I walked towards her.

"What's wrong Cammy?" I ask, rubbing her back when she cried on my shoulder.

"D-Dad" She whispered, sobbing when his name left her mouth.

"What about him?" I ask, "What has he done?" I ask again when I get no answer.

"H- He said if I don't tell him where we are he will track us down" She cried, "and kill us" She whispers, the tears were now falling uncontrollably.

My grip on my sister tightened, I tried to stay calm.

"And did you tell him?" I ask and she shook her head.

"No. But... I can't lose you Char" She whispers.

"Ey, you aren't going to lose me. Not against him or anyone else" I promise, lifting her head so she was looking at me.

"Do you promise me?" She asked, she looked like a little girl. Her eyes were wide with vulnerability, as she held out her pinky. Her hands were shaking.

"I promise" I say, looping my pinky around hers.
