Chapter Twenty-One: New House

After a few minutes, they went through a large gated neighborhood. Siel was starting to perk up with the view of variously sized French-styled homes scattered within the area. His parked car in front of a large, two-story residence with a balcony, French windows, and white brick walls.

Vince got out of his Roadster and rushed around to help his lady out. Meanwhile, Siel was unmistakably awestruck at the beauty of the house, along with the other chic and impressive residential properties nearby.

"What are we doing here, Sir?"

"Can we avoid calling me 'Sir' while outside the office, please? I'm not your boss right now, ok? And yes, this isn't a date but you can still treat me as a friend. "

"I'll try. Still, I don't see why we're here. I thought you had a meeting and plan to view this venue…"

"Come with me. You'll see."

He took an envelope from his pocket. Siel saw it was suspiciously similar to the one that Myron requested her to give to V that morning before she fainted.

V opened the envelope with one swift movement, letting a set of keys fall into his hand. He used it to open the door for her.

As soon as Siel stepped in, she gasped at what greeted her…

What the heck is happening… How is this possible…

In one of the corners of the empty living room area stood the white Christmas tree with blue and silver decorations that were mysteriously taken from her house, along with even more boxes of gifts underneath it.

Obviously, these were replacements for the items Jonah stole, and, for now, V didn't want to waste time explaining those "missing" presents and tree. As it was, he's afraid that what he's about to say will aggravate her further.

"Why is the Christmas tree here? So, it was really you who took it from the house?" asked Siel in shock as she slowly walked towards the tree and gifts.

"Not agreeing or denying," replied Vincent as he moved towards her. "I just think that my gifts would be safer here than in your former home."

"F-former h-home… V… I don't understand."

"Let me explain it then," A familiar female voice spoke up from behind Siel.

The Executive Secretary gasped as she saw the new Division Manager of SCIT suddenly show up beside her, with a big joyful grin on her face.

"This is your new house, Siel! Isn't it wonderful?"

"M-my NEW HOUSE?! But how…"

"We were supposed to get a housing grant from the company, but Roderick never processed it. You and I are both sooo qualified because of our work ethics, performance, pay grade, and the amount of workload completed within our five years of service. Especially you, since you were instrumental in closing so many profitable deals for Silvercrest! So, when I became manager, I processed it for us. And they approved it!"

Siel's jaw was still open as she looked at V. "You're the one that approved it, I'm sure…"

V shrugged. "You deserve it. Both of you, since Di will also get herself a nearby bungalow via the grant. She was here earlier to choose which house she believed you would want before any other awardee snatched it up."

"Oh my God… Di, this place is such a wonderful choice! You remembered everything I told you about my dream house! But I don't want the company to just pay for this then give it to me for free!"

Di laughed as she answered, "Silly, it's a grant, not a sponsorship. You'll be given a choice of payment options, and then they'll just take it out each payday. And from what I heard, there are packages that are only about a fifth of your new monthly salary."

"No way… Di, I can't believe… thank you for doing this for me!" Siel tearfully squealed as she hugged her friend. She then looked at V, "And I can't believe you approved my grant even after… all that happened…"

Vince gave her a very happy smile. "It would have been unfair and unprofessional if I rejected your application based on a personal matter, Elena. And I did say that I only want to see you and the twins happy, so yes, action speaks."

"Speaking of which, James and Rose approve of my choice as well," giggled Di.

Siel's eyes popped wide open, "James and Rose approve… B-but how…"

And just then, Siel heard a very well-known pair of laughing and giggling voices coming from upstairs. Soon, she would see her nanny and her company chauffeur going down the stairs with one cheerful child each.

"Hey, girl! Di had Antoine pick us up. By the way, he had a ton of shopping bags full of baby clothing. He said it was the twins' and he said his boss sent him to get us here to your new house! This is amazing! Did you see the backyard?! An actual wide lawn of soft grass for them to play in! The babies will be so happy here!"

Siel was speechless. She wasn't sure if she wanted to kill or hug the guy who was carefully standing a safe distance from her, waiting for either of those reactions. She finally got enough strength to say what she wanted to say, and she said it while looking at the CEO who had approved one of her most fervent dreams for herself and for her twins.

"Ok then, I'm buying this house. I can't believe I just said that! OH. MY. GOD!"

V's face was beaming, and he didn't care to hide it anymore. "As you wish. Myron will get all the paperwork ready for you. Now please, walk around, see your house and plan out where you want to put your things. We can arrange the move, by the way. Or do you want to have this house furnished? It's part of the grant too."

"No, I'm ok with what I have for now, V. Will make choices for additional furnishings after I've packed everything up from the old house, move, settle in this place… Oh my gosh, so many things to do along with Christmas grocery shopping… and we still have work tomorrow!"

"Oh, didn't I tell you? You have actual days off now. Tomorrow you're not going to the office Neither is Di, just so you both can fix everything here in your new houses. Myron will send both soft copies of the payment options to your email by tonight. And if you need any help with your Christmas shopping, I would like to offer my services, Ms. Camden."

Siel felt the stab once again but still managed a joking tone, "Oh, it's Miss Camden now? What happened with the 'treat me as a friend'?"

"Oh, so you like that I call you by your name?" he said with a wink and a smirk.

"Maybe…" she said with a shy smile. "But really, I have a lot to thank you for… I'm sorry that I can't just say yes to dating you again… I still have to deal with my karma…"

"I understand. All I want is for you and my kids to have a merry Christmas."

She felt slightly startled hearing him say "my kids" again. He noticed so his naughty smirk returned. "My angels, remember? I picked them to be 'my kids' this Christmas."

His statement was no lie too since around the same time he fell in love with the mom, the same can be said about her babies.

Siel's answer was almost inaudible, "I know… still… you've done so much more than…"

"Yes, and I still want to take you shopping for your Christmas feast. Just let me know when, alright?" repeated V, realizing with slight disappointment that he might not be able to see her the next day since she will be moving to their new home. But since he had already completed this part of his plan, he was feeling quite happy and he was fine with that.

"Well, I think we don't need to do any Christmas shopping yet. But I can ask if you can help us unpack and settle in tomorrow, right? Unless you're going to the office instead…"

The Alpha of the Silvercrest pack suddenly froze for a moment, and then a large Cheshire-cat grin slowly showed up on his face. The babies laughed at the "big happy man" and then ran to him with arms spread wide open…

Soon the three were on the floor having piggyback rides with the CEO of a multi-billion-dollar company…

And none of them minded.

All three had such a great time playing. Soon mommy and her two close female friends also joined in, while taking selfies at the same time and even asking Antoine to take pictures of them. They would also be checking out the rooms and areas of the house, ordering pizza, and then turning on the lights of the Christmas tree.

It was truly a wonderful and enchanting time for all…

The twins eventually started to nod off and they were soon piling into the limo to go back to their rental house for the last time. Meanwhile, the Alpha stayed behind just to check on the stealthy shadows starting to move around the gated

neighborhood. Also, he was waiting for a call…

His phone rang, "Yes, Gamma…"

"Alpha, we currently have our people in the right places. And your mate is now being monitored by the Beta. She's safe, for now."

"Good to know, Ma'Heron. But my goal is that she stays safe for good."

"That will happen very soon, Alpha. I swear it."
