The Not So New GUY

Shirley, Jack, and Noah had arrived long before Amy set her foot in school. The three of them were standing by Shirley's locker. It was their usual habit. Every morning, all of them gathered near her locker and they talk about the stuff before the classroom bell rang. Following their routine, they were waiting for Amy and Scott to arrive. Shirley pulled out her Algebra book, complained about it and then shoved it back. She again pulled another and did the same thing. When she pulled the third book and was about to complain, Noah changed the topic and told them that his cousin had recently graduated and he was looking forward to getting enrolled in an art college through his scholarship. To which, Jack said that whenever his cousins are around, they make him do their work and treat him as their personal servant in order to stop them from telling his father about the one night stand he had with their landlady.

"You're a fool." Chuckled Noah. "I mean who tell these kinds of secrets to their mean cousin."

"I was drunk and the landlady appeared out of the blue. I winked at her and it was enough for both of them to put it together." Jack explained.

"That's why we call you muppet." Shirley laughed and snap shut her locker.

"Don't forget that I scored the second-highest marks among the five of us. So I'm not a muppet."

"You still are. I'm glad Scott managed to score among the top 20 otherwise his dad would have strangled his neck." Said Noah.

"Right," Shirley agreed, "and talking about Scott, where is he? And Amy? They should have come by now."

"Can't tell because I'm here." Jack grinned and Shirley slammed her notebook on his head. The warning bell rang and the student began disappearing out of the hallways to their classes. Trails of student entered in and almost all of them were busy whispering. Shirley was trying to figure out but couldn't. In a minute, the surrounding was quiet and no one was left around them.

"Where the hell are they busting their asses?" Groaned Jack when they didn't saw the golden-haired girl and slim and tall Scott.

"Let's check outside." She said and all of them peered out in search of their friends to tell them that the bell had rung and they need to get attendance done and reach class before the warning time ends. Scanning around the empty football field and small gardens where sometimes student spend their leisure time, they finally spot them at the parking lot. They speed up to them.

"I knew you were familiar with." They heard Amy saying to some unknown black haired guy.

In response, he chuckled satirically at Amy. "Every girl says this when they see me. Oooh, you're familiar. I know you. And I think we were soulmates in another life." He mimicked in girly voice and Amy glared him with her burning red eyes. He then took the valve stem tool from her and knelt down.

Amy gasped, followed by her friends when the guy deflated her back tire. He rocks back on his heels and smiled smugly. Amy parted her lips to say something but words didn't come out. She kept on staring him as if it would kill him while her friends were frozen at their spot and Shirley's hand was upon her mouth.

Looking back and forth from Amy to her bike to the black-haired guy, Jack wasn't that dumb to recognize the guy under his new attire. He had chased and talked Roman more than any other students in his school. So it wasn't difficult for him to see through him and he finally muttered.

"Oh my my my...Roman Lockhart."
