Daddy at School

Fraud Daddy is Worried because  Son is a Villain

Chapter 6

-1-

Dale looks at his father from time to time.

They are riding a taxi because Lutes doesn't have his own car.

The original Lutes will rent a car if he needs to show-off or when he is going to a far place but he never really planned to buy one.

Though  his salary and tips are huge money it never really goes too far as to be able to buy him a car.

When they arrived in the school Lutes felt a bit sorry for his instant son.
The taxi can only drive them on the road.

They have to walk all the way to the school.

Now that he realized this, it was a pity.

The reason why his shoes are too worn out.

What if it's raining the ground will be slippery and muddy.

"We should buy you a raincoat and boots.
You remind Dad later."

Dale is over the moon while they are walking side by side to his school.

He is already so old yet his father is still accompanying him to school.

He doesn't feel shy or burdened that his father is coming with him, instead he felt elated.

When Dale hears his father, he smiles.

"Okay." He cheerfully answered.

"Slow down.
" Lutes smiles and rubs his head.

Dale is really a cute boy.

Raising him is really worthwhile.

When they arrive in the classroom, there are already students settled inside and chatting.

Lutes didn't enter the classroom and just stands outside the door waiting for the homeroom teacher.

"Dale, is that your father?" A classmate asks.

Dale's parents have never appeared in the school since day one so the other naughty students teased him.

Sometimes the teasing will end up in an argument.

Dale is a quiet boy.

He is smart and sensible.

He never started any argument himself so a lot of girls have a favorable impression. The other boys also like playing with him.

He is never alone in class.

"Yes.
My Dad."

He said softly but you can tell he is proud with those shiny eyes.

"Hmp. Why did we not see him before? Where was him all this time?" One boy who always quarrels with Dale snorts.

Dale didn't look at him.

He is in a good mood so he doesn't want to ruin it.

Not because Dale didn' answer it doesn't mean others will not say anything.

Dale's closed friends will quarrel for him.

"Why do you always find trouble for Dale?
"

A girl glares at the boy, he is sitting on Dale's right.

"Yeah.
Yeah. You can't just be quiet." The boy sitting on Dale's left said.

"Why do you care? Am I talking to you?" The boy glared and raised his voice.

"Don't quarrel." Dale said to his two seatmates.

"Daddy cooked my lunch. He said to share with my friends. Let's eat together later?" Dale smiles and he didn't forget to boast.

His two friends forget to bother the boy behind and happily chat with Dale.

Looking at the small squabbles.

Lutes feel more relaxed.

His son is not a loner so it's a relief.

Lutes reads the book but there's not much importance toward Dale's life when he is with Lutes in the story.

Only describe Dale's life as miserable and  Lutes as a very ugly father figure.

Also, in the book, Dale's became a loner when he attended the school of his older brother and adopted brother.

So he thought that Dale's alienation could have started from young but it appears that right now Dale is still an ordinary child with friends and enemies alike.

Lutes finally sighs in his heart.

"Excuse me?
"

When Lutes turned around he saw a petite woman with a baby face and sweet smile.

The woman was taken aback when Lutes turned around.

'So handsome' her head  became muddled.

"Ah, Are you Ms. Claudia?" Lutes smiles and sees the name in one of the books the woman is carrying.

"Yes?
"

"I am Dale Arkahel's father."

Ms. Claudia finally snaps out of it.

She returned back to her professional smile.

"Mister Arkahel, welcome to the school.
Do you have any problem?"

"Regarding my son...
I really am very busy at work so I don't have time to bother about his school life. If it's okay to Teacher Claudia to give me a bit of your time?"

Claudia nods.

She has always been worried about this student.

Dale looks capable but he is still a child that needs their parent's guidance.

-2-

"I understand your concern. Let me put my things down first then let us talk. It is still early anyways."

Teacher Claudia said.

"Thank you Teacher.
" Then he reaches out and gives her a small box.

"This..
" Teacher Claudia looks at the small pastry box.

"Umm.Don't disdain it Teacher. I just made some pastry for my son and thought of disturbing the teacher's time so I took it upon myself to wrap some for you, teacher. I hope you don't dislike it."

Lutes is very polite.

His smiles are clean and sincere.

Teacher Claudia's heart swells but thinking about her occupation she needs to remain noble and unaffected.

"Of course not.
Thank you for this gift. But next time you really shouldn't have to bother. This is also part of a teacher's job."

She went inside the classroom and some polite students greeted her.

She just told them not to be too noisy and call Dale.

Dale stood up and followed the teacher outside.

It is not time to start class yet and not all the students are in school so the teacher will not be too strict with the students.

"Mister, your son is very polite and smart.
He is the top student in our section. He is a very responsible leader and he is a class officer. He is not lazy and he doesn't make trouble." The teacher praised Dale one after another.

Dale is blushing but his smile shows his good mood.

"My son is so capable.
" Lutes didn't disappoint and also followed the teacher's lead.

Dale's smile deepens.

Teacher Claudia pats Dale's shoulder.

"You go back to the class now."

"Okay Teacher.
Bye Daddy."

"See you later.
" Lutes also wave him goodbye.

The teacher became serious when Dale left.

"The boy is a bit malnourished. When we do our physical fitness exam he falls at the malnourished range. And he is being teased by the children because both his parents never come to school when there are parent's meetings.

Not being able to attend is not really strange.
There are lots of students with their parents who can't be bothered. But he never speaks or depends when it happens and makes me really worried. Is there any problem at home?"

Teacher worriedly asks.

"Actually Teacher...
Our life is a bit complicated."

"I do not wish to meddle so much but as his home room teacher I really need to know where he is coming from in order to help him.
"

Lutes nods.

"Actually, Dale's mother just died a year ago. And we're long been separated though we are married. He was raised by my wife and I never really got to see him grow up. He was handed to me by the social workers after a report that he was being abused by his maternal relative."

"Oh my goodness.
Such a thing."

Teacher Claudia shakes his head.

Lutes nods his head.

This kind of thing is really too much.

-3-

Teacher Claudia nods.

"I understand. Such things are truly regrettable. But your son is very good and smart. Still it is better to pay more attention to him.. He is so small and young but what he faced in life is already something even adults might find hard to get through."

"I know. I neglected him for a long time. Now I wanted to be a good father. Teacher, please look after my son while he is here."

"Of course. I will do my best as a teacher to help him and the other students. Rest assured that I will not let him feel different."

Lutes smiles.

"You will be a good mother someday teacher. You are very kind."

Teacher Claudia blushes.

"Mister Arkahel, you are not proper!" She said and turned around to leave.

Lutes scratches his head.

"Teacher, I'm sorry.
I didn't mean.."

Teacher Claudia laughs.

Seeing her in a good mood he understands that the teacher is just messing with him.

Lutes is really thankful that his son's teacher is very approachable.

He waves goodbye to Dale and Dale also wave goodbye to him

Lutes finally leave the school with a good feeling.

"Now then," Lutes sighs.

Though the original Lutes have money. Now that he resigned, there is no other income.

He needs to work or start a business.

Though he is confident that he can cook.
After what happened to his first business, it really left a dark shadow in his heart.

Of course he still opened up a cafeteria but that is because of pride and not confidence.

He is too proud to admit defeat.

He is walking around when he finds a broken house that is for sale.

He looks at it for a long time that the owner of the house get out and see him still staring

"Do you want to buy?
"

Lutes looks at the middle aged man with an uneven shaved beard.

"I am not sure If I can afford it.
"

The middle aged man happily pats his shoulder.

"Come inside come. Let's talk about it."

Lutes reluctantly come.

The house is so dilapidated compared to the  other neighboring houses.

This is not along the national road but at least not too far.

The vicinity has so many rental rooms and houses because it is near a mall and workers rent here.

There are also three nearby schools.
Elementary(his son's school) and two colleges.

Though those two colleges are not that near it is not that far too.

The location is good for making food business.

The fact that it is not going to rely on school as the main customers but the workers will be good enough.

His head is already calculating.

But that is not that easy.

Aside from the money he needs to buy the house, he needs to rebuild the entire house.
If he lived here. He will fear that they will be buried inside and since he wants to start a new food business, their house can't be too shabby or who will trust if their food is clean or not?

Lutes sighs.
