Now make a choice, Dia!

     "Krunhh"

Her phone beeped. She was having the last wash before she'd step out of the bathroom. The water in trails tracked the swells of her body down her legs. Bathing lukewarm had a perk to it.

She reached for the soft and fluffy white towel by the window. Her hand slide down her body, cupping the curves of her perky boobs as she dried herself up.

She wounded the tower round her chest and walked out of the bathroom. All she had on her my mind aside going to work was the unread message on her phone.

She walked to the bed and picked up the phone.

    HEY BITCH!

Popped up. Twas Zoe. One thing was having to reply immediately, but she would be gambling with the time she was supposed to get to work.

    NUTSACK.

She typed quickly and pushed the send button. She dropped the phone on the bed and hurried to her wardrobe.

In no time, she'd slid into her singlet and her black string pant. Her phone popped a message up again. The bitch already replied.

Zoe could be quiet annoying though, but she was an expert at keeping her words. And also, dancing. She was best at both.

MAX'S DAD OWNS THAT HOTEL. MAX, THE GUY FROM THE PARTY.

    Dia read and typed back,

MUST YOU REPEAT WHO MAX WAS? I AIN'T NO MUTT AND JEFF.

She threw the phone back into the bed and threw herself in a sky blue shirt, black fancy trouser, and an odd colour jacket. The jacket was to matched with the stilleto.

A touch of a sun shade, her phone, then her bag. Just a bag she felt nice for the attire, else she'd be more than late.

Two messages had popped up again, but not now.

A quick spray of the usual Nivea perf and she slammed the door.

She walked towards the dining place. She sighed, the crazy fellows were no longer there.

"You don't want to go hungry today again."

That was her grandma. She wasn't all aged. At least she could still make egg and coffee for her.

Grandma put the plate on the table and dragged the chair. Dia picked up the plate, slid some chops of egg into her mouth with the fork till she had a mouthful. She munched quickly, swigged from the cup of coffee and slurped them all down.

She hugged grandma, who had been watching her in surprise, from the back, and kissed her on the cheek.

     "Morning, ma. Bye. Love you."

She turned and began to walk towards the door.

    "Your shades."

Grandma called. She hurried back to get it. She had no idea when she dropped it.

She walked back and picked it. That was an opportunity to swig another mouthful of coffee.

   It spilled on her cloth.

    "Shit!"

She cursed and fumbled through her bag for her handkerchief. She walked on as she tried as much as possible to get rid of the stain.

"You could as well just stay and finish it. It's just 8:45 in the mornings, Ida. Dave won't strangle you if you're five minutes late."

She got to the door and opened.

     "Dia!, Ima!"

Dia screamed trying to emphasize her name. She had corrected the old woman times without number.

She slammed the door as she heard grandma call,

     "Alex stopped by!"

Dia stopped walking. She wanted to go back and ask her when, but she shook her head.

She hurried to the roadside and called at a taxi.

Couldn't Alex just wake up and snap back to reality.

She opened the door of the taxi and sat.

     "Saint Jone's"

She said as the taxi driver drove off. She slid her phone open and Zoe's message popped up,

     AND GUESS WHAT?

OK, YOU HATE GUESSES. FOUND OUT THAT, ALEXA AND MAX ARE TWO MONTHS AWAY.

Dia gasped. The driver looked through the mirror. She hadn't raised her head yet. She typed.

       PREGNANT?

She wasn't sure what to think. Zoe's message popped in again,

DUMMY! TWO MONTHS TO THEIR WEDDING!

    "Fuck!"

She sighed and looked up. Her eyes met with the driver's in the mirror. Damn! Twas the same driver who drove her home yesterday.

She looked away quickly before the annoying guy would start a conversation.

    She typed back.

YOU'RE THE DUMMY! TWO MONTHS AWAY MEANS PREGNANT. WHAT WAS EVEN YOUR MAJOR BACK IN COLLEGE?

She sent that and kept writing, Zoe had seen it and was texting at the same time,

BY THE WAY, IT'S ALL GOOD.

She sent. Zoe's seemed delayed. She probably had deleted that because of Dia's new message.

       ALL GOOD?

     Dia was right. Dia replied,

YUP. TWO MONTHS AIN'T TWO HOURS. THINK OF SOMETHING.

In no time, Zoe texted back,

UHMM. MY THOUGHTS ARE SUPER CRAZY NOW. HOW ABOUT YOU SNATCH MAX FROM ALEXA. THAT'D BE A GREAT TREAD. BEST REVENGE PITCH. ALEX BROKE YOUR HEART, YOU HURT HIS SISTER. SQUARED!

     "Bitch!"

Dia muttered. The taxi took a turn. Dia's and the driver's face met again. She confided in her phone like she always did.

INTERESTING. SO, YOU DO HAVE BRAINS! *LAUGHING OUT LOUD EMOJI* NOW, WHAT'S THE PLAN.

      Zoe texted back,

FUCK YOU! GIVE ME SOMETIMES TO THINK.

The taxi halted. She paid the dickhead taxi driver and put her purse in the bag. She opened the door, stepped out and slammed the door.

She didn't give the guy another look. She walked into the office.

Greeting everyone was one of the problems she wouldn't solve. Though she was best at fake smiles when she was being greeted.

She didn't have the strength for early morning pep talks. Many called that ego, but she didn't give a fuck.

    "Hey, Jim."

She waved as she walked towards her office. That was her only main man in the office. Others were just hypocrites. Well, she was no better. And she admitted it.

She entered into her office and walked to her table. She dropped her back on the table, backing the door.

"The CEO had checked on your office."

She turned. Twas Jim. She smiled and nodded her head. She looked at her wristwatch.

    9:05AM.

   "Wtf!"

She muttered. She didn't know what to do at first. Have a glance through the new files on her table or go to the CEO.

The CEO had access to all their offices. Reasonable, eh?

She decided to go to the CEO. Her phone beeped. That should be Zoe. She wasn't going to check yet.

She hurried down the aisle as soon as he walked out of her office.
The company was spacious but well designed. You'd think it's a pen at an eyeshot.

     "Hey Dad!"

She said as soon as she entered the office. The 52 years old polished man, in black Italian suit and well knotted tie turned at her.

    "You're five minutes late, Dia."

Dia walked straight to the table, her face contoured,

"Dad! You went to my office two minutes after Nine? Wtf. Haven't heard of the word, 'traffic'?"

She paused, her hands on the sides of the chair tucked into that side of the oak table which was painted brown, with a tone of faint black. Shining though.

"Mind your language, Dia. Have a seat."

She shrugged then pulled out the chair. She sat. Her father had been settled before her since a while.

"Sorry, dad. But... Nevermind. Jim said you wanted to see me."

Her father's face flushed into a light smile. He was old but cute. That might sound wierd.

"First thing, your proposal has been approved and in two weeks time you'd be going to Seattle to head the new company."

Her father said, his voice was firm, a little touch of the rich British accent.

Dia felt ripped off. Like her brain was swept out of her skull. She got that feeling. Such feeling you get when a thunderbolt hit you.

     "Dad?"

That was all she could say. She looked at her phone and slid it open. The message was from a strange number not Zoe. It read,

     LET'S HOOK UP..

She locked the phone and looked up at her father. The message was from one of the guys she met on Topface.

"This is too sudden. How about in two months?"

Her firm tone melting into a mild counterpart. But the look on her father's face said that was not enough. He shot,

"The competition is high, darling. It'd be even great if you could go perhaps tomorrow or something. But it'll be unfair, reason I made a two weeks. It'd be a nice experience."

He was trying to assure her.  She sighed and asked,

     "How long will I stay?"

There was this look of peace on her father's face. That look you wear when you're getting what you want.

"Minimum, 6 months, max 2 years. Wanna leave it in able hands. And after that, you could go to Ibiza or Las Vegas for vacation."

Dia stood up. The offer was nice but she already had a plan. She shook her head and said,

     "Give me two months, dad!"

Her father hit the desk immediately and shot,

"I knew twould come to this. You always run from responsibility. Wasn't that why you're living your grandma. I don't even care. It's either you pick up the deal or just quit. Thank goodness Jim is capable of being a Marketing Manager."

Dia stared at him for a while. She didn't know what appropriate response to give. There were lots of things rippling like waves in her brains. All were tons of insults. She couldn't confide in them.

She walked to the door and looked back at her father, she slammed the door.

     "Dia. "

She heard her father call. Give her a reason to answer him.

As she walked to her office she noticed some of the workers looking at her.

One of the ladies manned up and said,

"There's a guy at the door making a scene because of you. Talking about some marriage proposal. The security men are restraining him in vain."

Dia stopped and looked towards the door if she could catch a glimpse.

   Goddamnit! Twas fucking Alex again.

"Just give him a second chance."

Another of the workers said. She looked at the blonde. There was a cup of coffee on her table. Dia walked to her and picked up the cup of coffee. She threw it on her.

Her anger which had scaled all altitudes slackened its pace.

The lady was in shock, as other's. She heard Jim calling her, but what did she care?

She hurried to the door of the company. She should teach Alex a lesson.

Squander the remaining portion of anger in her on him.

As she stomped off, her phone beeped. She looked, twas Zoe.

     One thing before the other.
