Talent to kill for I

The next morning Alex was waiting for his family in front of Vizbourne's main entrance. Since it was still winter, frost could be found on the three meter high steel poles of the double winged metal gate. Light was fracturing inside the ice crystals, painting small rainbow colored spots on the cold concrete.

The young Force manipulator was looking onto this small marvel of nature still sleepy and his eyes were threatening to close as it was only six 'o' clock in the morning. But before he could completely drift away into a short lasting, sleep prior to hitting the ground, a car making it's way towards the gate, caught his attention and jolted him slightly awake. The dark-blue BMW stopped in front of the youth and a door sprang open, out of which a woman, with brunette hair, that had white streaks running through it, jumped. Irena Strono hadn't seen her grandson in almost a week and had to of course check if any injuries happened in that long time span.

"Granny I'm alright stop touching me all over. I missed you too, but a hug would have been enough." complained Alex while enjoying the warmth of his grandmother.

"Well I just had to make sure you were fine since it was such a surprise to receive your call yesterday, asking us all to come talk to your teacher. I thought something happened with the other kids and someone might be bullying you." explained the overprotective woman, finally letting go of off her healthy grandchild.

"Come get inside the car, it's so cold why would you wait outside for us? We could have met up inside the main lobby." chided Irena as she dragged Alex into the vehicle.

"It's fine. I'm wearing warm enough clothes and just got here five minutes before you all arrived."

While greeting his parents and grandfather, he buckled up and let his father drive them towards the school building. He explained in more detail about what he knew Mrs. Natpiea wanted to talk about and led them towards her office.

Inside Alex's teacher was already waiting. She had composed herself after yesterday's events and prepared herself for the news she would soon present to the Strono family.

The door to the office was, like always, opened by itself as soon as people, who had an appointment, reached it. After each of the family members were seated on the couches they greeted the teacher with the usual pleasantries.

"Let's skip the formalities for now and get right to the main topic since I bet all of you want spent your holidays in school not for too long." Mrs. Natpiea cut the talk short and went straight to business.

"Yesterday we were testing the affinities of my top students, after their first Force circulation session. The results of the other kids were already unusual but Alex here topped them all, to say the least. He showed a natural born aptitude for the death, darkness, space, time, fire, water, air and earth element. All of which have very high compatibility ratings and possess the chance to reach 100% and therefore a standard immunity towards said element. To say his talent is monstrous would be a massive underestimation, and that without even mentioning his 100% affinity towards mind Force." after praising her student until he seemed like a god, Mrs. Natpiea had to take a breath before continuing, "That too could only be accomplished because this little genius made the impossible happen. He created a Force intersection right inside his heart, connecting his Force core to his nervous and cardiovascular systems. This should be absolutely impossible for such a novice manipulator but somehow he made it work."

Knowing that the whole family needed some time to process all of this she waited a few minutes, appraising the reaction of each and every one of them.

"Well it seems you don't know exactly how minuscule the chance to be born with such a talent is. This is only natural since earth has been a member of the I.F. for only three years. As of now there were only maybe ten million people throughout the whole history of the universe who managed to get lucky enough to accomplish one of those feats. The chance of someone like Alexander being born naturally, is so infinitely close to zero that when the upper echelons of the federation receive the news they will tear everything apart to get a sample of his bloodline. You are lucky your species is still under the protection and that I'm his teacher. I will fake his results and talk to the other kids that they shouldn't reveal anything too. The same goes for you, don't ever mention anything about Alex's affinities to anyone." the Paketa turned towards the person in question after addressing his family, "And for you little man. Don't show your Force towards others. Your friends from class are fine since they already know but be careful about strangers. They could take advantage of you very quickly and sell you to the highest bidder. There are a lot of dark sides to the Intergalactic Federation, which I hope you won't ever experience."

The whole family didn't know what to respond as all this was just too much for them and had no idea how they should handle this situation. All of their minds were in uproar as such a bleak future was suddenly displayed before their eyes. They were thankful for the Paketa but the adults still didn't trust her fully and besides her they would have to watch their backs whenever Alex would be put in the limelight.

However, prior to anyone being able to voice their concerns, Mrs. Natpiea comforted them, "Do not worry for now at least though. I will try to protect you to the best of my ability and can also arrange for an exchange with my species' elders. We Paketa are a rather peaceful race that doesn't attack someone only out of greed. They may be able to offer you protection even after the grace period is over, if your entire family possesses a bloodline you may even be accepted as citizens. Our species is at the Galaxy Cluster rank and we could defend you from most other forces."

This sounded perfect for Alexander but his grandparents and parents showed troubled expressions. They knew that in this scenario they would have to rearrange their whole life and leave everything they knew behind.

"First we would like to thank you in your efforts to teach our little Alex and also explaining and providing us with options. But I think I speak for all of us when I say that this is just a bit too much for the moment. We would like to think this over thoroughly and if possible would get back to you after our vacation is over." after a long deliberation, and seeing as no one else wanted to speak up, Kazimierz told the whole group his thoughts.

The rest of his family agreed and thanked Mrs. Natpiea for her kindness, although the adults were still skeptical, they had to accept that she could have went off to her superior and not even told them about anything at all. That earned her at least the most basic trust to not rat them out, for the moment.

"Of course, that is not a problem! I wish Alex all the best and will keep my lips sealed as long as you want me to. Well, I will not keep you here any longer. Have fun during your vacation and Alex keep practicing your circulation method but start slowly so your system will adapt. You are a natural born talent with Force anyways but even so, be careful to not overexert your body. That would only have adverse effects and may even hinder your progress. Also attuning your body to the intensity of Force will happen sooner than you will think, you will see!" delighted that this family could think of the consequences, and not just agreed to her proposition right away, she wished them all farewell and imparted some last advice to her most astounding disciple.

With that the Stronos left the school compound and made themselves ready to embark on a vacation, that was now filled with anxiety about the future of their youngest generation.

Meanwhile Mrs. Natpiea went towards the dorms and told the other prodigies, that what transpired the day before should be kept to themselves, with the utmost secrecy, not even allowing them to tell their own families.

'Well I can only hope those kids keep their promise and not tell anyone, otherwise the whole event will definitely get leaked after earthlings get a better understanding about the power in the universe. Also I should tell Alex to keep those four as close friends and not antagonize them. All I can do now is wish the Stronos good luck.'was what Kathia Natpiea thought, while going back to her office to get herself ready for a month of traveling through the USSA.
