FOUR.

“I always feel so happy when I leave that hell hole for school," Xara said walking towards her car with Penny and Alianna. They were going out to have some food to eat before the headed off to the next class. It had been a few weeks she last heard from Kai, she was worried about him but she didn't show it. His updates on Facebook and Instagram confirmed he was fine, his P.A as well.

But why didn't he call her for once to check on her? She couldn't help but wonder.

“Xara, are you okay?" Penny shook her out of her trance.

“Yeah, I am fine." She smiled.

“Okay, your phone has been ringing for a couple of minutes now." She smirked at her friend who took out the phone to check the caller ID.

“It says unknown." She told her friends as they sat in the back of the car as their driver took off.

She dialled the number and kept it on loudspeaker for them to hear.

“Hello?" She responded.

“Xara, it's me, Kai." He said as she took it off loudspeaker.

“Um, hi Mr Maximilian..." She waited for what he had to say.

“I just called to see how you were fairing, I can see you are good. Take care and I have sent some money into your account. Bye." He rudely cut the call.

“Oh." She added disappointed.

“It's going to be fine." Alianna smiled at her as they got to MacDonald's.

“That's what I am hoping for." She said to her friend getting out of the car.

“Why would you want me to check up on her, I am with you.
That's all that matters." Kai said approaching Mabel.

“She's your wife, and knowing you, ever since you left home you haven't bothered to check on her, you've just kept her in the house like a prisoner." She told.

“You may be right, but right now let's focus on us." He tilted her head kissing her.

“That's more like it." She smiled deepening the kiss.

“Running around in circles

I just can't get you out of my head

Fight the connection

But the emotion keeps on pulling me in

Try to resist you

Until I hear you

Knock, knockback in my door now

I'm falling into habits that I broke through, ooh

You just keep me

Moving in slow motion

Right back at the start

Another round 'cause we never give up

Would shut it down but I want it too much

I'm a slave to the rhythm, I can't breakaway

Another round spillin' outta my cup

I take it down but it's never enough

I'm a slave to the rhythm, I can't breakaway

You got me stuck in a

Love cycle

Lo-lo-lo-lo-lo-love cycle, love

Love cycle, love

Thought that I told you

We were supposed to keep our intentions clear

The more that I try to keep my hands off you

The more that I want you here

Can't break the cycle

Stuck on a high, no

Stop, stop, can't take it any more, no

You made me question

What are we doing this for?

You just keep me

Moving in slow motion

Right back at the start

Another round 'cause we never give up

Would shut it down but I want it too much

I'm a slave to the rhythm, I can't breakaway

Another round spillin' outta my cup

I take it down but it's never enough

I'm a slave to the rhythm, I can't breakaway

You got me stuck in a

Love cycle

Lo-lo-lo-lo-lo-love cycle, love

Love cycle, love (hey)

Love cycle

Lo-lo-lo-lo-lo-love cycle, love

Love cycle, love

One more time

Hey, hey

Love cycle

Love cycle

Love...

Xara, Penny and Alianna jammed to Enisa Nikaj's song "Love Cycle.
"  They had gotten their food and we're going back to campus for their next lesson.

“This song just made me feel, 10 times better.
" Xara happily added.

“It's nice to see you smile, you should do that often," Penny told as Alianna grinned creepily.

“You're scaring us, Ali.
" Xara prompted her friend as they got off the car.

“I got a plan, you my dear Xara are going to get a makeover, you need to rid these boring clothes and get stylish clothes like Penny and me.
No offence you're pretty, but you need to change your dressing, maybe then Kai would notice you." She stated as they walked to class.
“She's right Xara, you need to keep your boring clothes at the back of your closet and start wearing the sexy clothes you've kept behind.
" Penny winked at her as they entered the classroom.

Maybe they aren't wrong after all, it's time to get a makeover. She smirked.

“Wasn't that Kai Maximilian's wife?
" A random student asked her friend.

“Yeah, I wonder why he married a plain jane like her. What happened to all those sexy supermodels he used to go out with?" Her friend voiced out.

“Maybe he had a one night stand with her and got her pregnant. He had no other choice than to marry her." Another girl said.

“You may be right, we all know Xara Wilson was a poor girl, she was always with Alianna her rich friend and a few months later, she married the sexiest bachelor in town?" Another says.

“There's more to the story than what meets the eye." She told.

“Rumor has it that he was supposed to marry Xara's older sister Mabel whom he was fond of, but she eloped with another man and Xara had no other choice to marry him." Another girl who joined them added.

“Well, that makes sense. But can't she change her style of dressing, urgh, she's so blunt and such a plain jane. She should up her game." The girl said as they walked off to their various classes.

“Maybe we could talk some sense into her, her dress code is too bad for a woman of her class, the wife of Kai Maximilian, richest bachelor in Brooklyn, she can do better." One girl scoffed as the rest burst into laughter.
