CHAPTER 1: MEN

-Chapter 1: Men-

"MISS Trams, we received another delivery for you." A lady just entered the office of their company's president and dropped the flowers on the table that's also filled with gifts.

"What? That's technically the seventh gift for this hour." The president responded, looking up from her laptop and approaching the table. She immediately shook her head and sighed. "Mrs. Jess, can you do me a favour?"

"Sure thing, Miss Trams." The woman named Jess smiled sweetly.

"Can you uhm, take some of the gifts home? I cannot have them all in my house." Crine, or the young lady called Miss Trams shrugged. She kinda felt guilty for giving the gifts away but at the same time, she cannot accept all of them.

"I'm sorry, Miss Trams. But I wouldn't be able to do that. You see, my husband won't be very happy to see stuffs like those that are not from him." She slightly looked down as Crine nodded with a smile.

"It's alright, Mrs. Jess. I'm very happy for you're here for me." She smiled and nodded. Mrs. Jess immediately left the room with a sad face for she cannot help the young lady this time.

Crine on the other side, faced the window and sighed.

"Yeah, wealthy men." She sighed and took a seat, doing her job again.

She is enjoying her life already. Being wealthy who can afford anything, being an inspiration who's just being herself, and already helping people little by little.

For her, it's a dream come true.

TIME have passed and she's heading her way back home. She's currently placing the gifts that she received earlier inside her car, trying to handle them with care.

She's struggling to put them in, for it's too many to fit inside.

"Ah, yes. The struggle of being an ideal person." A manly voice spoke, making her face him as she fix the stuffs inside. "Well, maybe not a struggle. It's a good feeling, isn't it?"

"I swear, Vaughn. It's not intentional." She said and shook her head, successfully placing everything inside her car and searching for her keys.

"Woah, that's one of the latest cars these days. How come that you can have it instantly?" He asked with a smirk and approached her car, smiling on it as he scan it. "I'd do anything to have a ride with this."

"Apparently, it's my father's car, not mine. So you cannot have a ride with it this time." She smirked and went inside.

"Hey! Crine! I'm also going home, it'll be a great experience to drive me home!" Vaughn said dramatically, placing his palms on the window glass.

"I've been driving you home for years, great experience yes." She giggled and opened the passenger's seat. "Hop in, weirdo."

"Yay!" Vaughn said and went inside.

They immediately moved right after.

Vaughn and Crine are close friends ever since who knows when. Some people have suggested them to get married someday either, and the two just hoped that their mental health is fine for thinking that way.

She can only see him as a friend and no more than that.

"So, how's your relationship with Detale?" Vaughn asked and that made Crine roll her eyes. "Is he talking already? I've always thought that he cannot speak. Well, only to you."

"You're being offensive. Can I slap your face now?" She then asked, making the young man laugh. She rolled her eyes again, feeling a small annoyance deep inside.

"You're too nice, to be honest. You're even asking for a permission to slap me- Ouch! Hey!" He screamed like a little girl when the young lady's palm hit his face. "The car! Watch the road, you creep! What will happen if we die?"

"Shut up, it'll help. If you won't stop teasing me, I would drop you here anytime." She said and the young man just laughed again.

"Did you see your face? You look funny when you're angry!" He laughed and that made her roll her eyes again.

"Wear your seat belt too! You're scared of dying and yet, you don't even know how to protect yourself." She glared and drove faster.

"Phew! Am I supposed to call you a hero now?" He chuckled and that made her roll her eyes again.

Well, Vaughn is really the type of person who loves teasing people. The type of person who wouldn't finish its day without annoying someone. The type of person who won't stop until you're terribly pissed. But of course, Crine have gotten used to it.

Despite all of those weird information about him, of course;

He's the type of friend who would stay beside you no matter what, the type of friend who will always care for you, and the type of friend who's always there to help you.

And the best of all?

"Goodbye, Crine!" Vaughn bid her good bye with an energetic smile as he went off the car. "Take care!"

He's always happy and it can make you happy too.

"See you, Vaughn." Crine smiled in return, starting to drive again.

Honestly, being Crine is pretty hard and messy. She cannot even decide for herself sometimes.

And about time, she must have her schedule secured for she won't have a hard time with her college and company hours.

And, speaking about schedules,

There's one unimportant thing that seems to be one for her, that is included in her schedule.

To visit the one and only cafe where...

"Good afternoon, Steivan!" She smiled and waved energetically and ran towards the young man who's working peacefully. The young man named Steivan then sighed and shook his head in annoyance.

The one and only cafe where he and she can meet properly...

"Oh, Miss Trams is here today again huh?" A lady smiled at her and she did the same towards her.

"Yes, Mrs. Alex. I will never miss a day without visiting." She giggled and held the menu.

"You will surely never do, it seems like you're the only one who keeps this cafe alive." Mrs. Alex giggled and gasped when the red bell rang. "Alright then, Crine. I will be going now. Enjoy your day!"

"Thank you, Mrs. Alex!" Crine waved and watched her retreating back. Not so long, she found herself looking at the boy again, who's currently cleaning a table.

She smiled and stared at him. He's a self-proclaimed ordinary who will never be better but she sees him more than that. He's not like anyone else. He's hardworking, attractive and intelligent.

This job of his is a part-time, he's doing it for his mother. His mother is sick, staying at the hospital and she won't be able to work right now for them. The hardest part is that Steivan only lives with her, without any siblings nor a father.

Crine have offered some help for more than one time but he declines the offer every time.

He wanted to work hard by himself without anything from someone whom he cannot even love back.

"Hello, Steivan!" She smiled as he walk by.

"What again, Trams?"

Meanly, they're not really enemies.

Maybe, it's a one-sided thing.
