6. THE GIRL WITH THE CAT EYES

The thud was loud enough to make Luke and Andrew freeze and look at each other. After they tried to peek over the edge of the wall and apparently the sound was coming from the other side of the backyard of the building. Luke and Andrew find a girl falling backwards into a flower pot made of clay and knee high. In the next second, the girl's temple was bleeding. Maybe because it cut one end of the pot shard. Instead of helping, the five other girls there just laughed and watched. Luke heard Andrew say.
"Those crazy girls again," he said.

Luke also did the same.
Neither of them felt curious about who the frontman among the five girls was; Patricia Bowleans. She is from the next class and, just like her two older sisters, Patricia also has a very bad temper. She is the perfect mean girl in the movies; drama queen, anger, good at finding a way to make fun of someone, manipulator, groupies, authoritative, seekers of attention, and other blah - blah - blah.
The main thing is; Patricia Bowleans is a mean girl.

Apart from Patricia, there are also Jessica Jane, Laura Dunhall, Chairine Falls and Rose Anne.

Personally, Luke didn't want to get close to or get involved with the girls even though they were indeed one of the prettiest girls in school.
Annoying and a waste of time. But seeing the injustice that was happening before his eyes, especially when a petite girl was being bullied, Luke was compelled to help her.
Luke threw away the cigarette and stepped on the coals to death, then Luke stepped over there.
Andrew had time to hold Luke's arm and said, "Don't interfere, okay ? Come on, just go."
But Luke swatted Andrew's hand away and still walked briskly over there, raising his hand and screaming at the mean girls.

"Stop.
She's already hurt! Are you guys crazy?!" snapped Luke angrily.
Everyone was surprised and looked at Luke who came suddenly with a sneer as if he was disturbing their fun.
But Luke didn't care about the cynical looks of the bad girls and immediately helped the injured girl up.
"I'll call the teacher," said Andrew.

Patricia Bowleans and her friends chose to stop bullying the petite girl after Luke's arrival.
Even so, Patricia had threatened this injured girl.
"If you dare to complain, I make sure you will get something more serious than this, Rei!
"
And actually Andrew didn't really call the teacher other than just to bully Patricia's gang to get them to stop bullying the girl and leave.
Finally, Luke and Andrew took the injured girl to the school clinic. Ignoring the class bell that had rung a minute ago. A doctor on duty, Miss Markle, immediately cleaned the girl's temple of blood, dabbed some antiseptic solution, then covered the wound with a bandage. Miss Markle said that the girl's wound was not too serious and the doctor asked Miss Markle to drive her home. Miss Markle thought they were friends. But, well, whatever the reason, Luke couldn't leave this girl alone so he decided to walk her home.
So here the two of them were, walking the pedestrian way to the subway station and conversation naturally ensued.

"I'm Luke.
Luke Bright."
Embarrassed, the girl said, "I'm Rei Suzurao.
You can call me Ray."
"I've never seen you before.
Are you a new student?"
Rei nodded slowly.
"I moved here last week."
Luke pursed his lips to express an 'Ooh' .
In Luke's eyes, Rei seemed like a shy and weak type of girl. It's no wonder that Patricia targeted her as a victim of bullying, because this girl seemed easy to bully.
"Thank you for wanting to help me," Rei said in a low voice while tightly gripping the straps of his backpack.

"Of course I will help since the sound of your fall was loud enough to be heard.
Why don't you scream for help? After all, why were you silent about being beaten by Patricia?"
"Because normally people would just look, so I thought it was a waste to ask for help.
Meanwhile, what do you think Patricia will do if I return her punch?"
Rei's expression changed like a cloudy cloud.
That made Luke a bit awkward because the reason why he helped the girl was Luke who smelled a fragrance coming from Rei's body. The scent was really pleasant to breathe and as soon as I realized it, it was coming from Rei's body. Especially when they were in the hospital clinic earlier. The fragrance was so fragrant that Luke would bet that whatever perfume Rei wore, it must be very expensive.
Luke also saw Rei one more time secretly and, to be honest, for Luke Rei did look quite beautiful with the taste of an Asian girl.
Her body was small like that of a child, but she had the face of a graceful princess, her skin was silvery yellow, her eyes were small and upturned like those of a cat and Rei had beautiful shoulder-length black hair. Moreover, her body also emits a distinctive fragrance.
Rei suddenly turned her head and found that Luke was looking at him and smiled a little.
Luke also looked away immediately and awkwardly. So, to clear the awkwardness, Luke cleared his throat and asked where Rei's house was.
"Monkshood 4th Street," Rei replied.

"Oh really?
I think we are neighbors. My house is about two hundred yards from that area. You can come to my house if you want."
"Is that true?
" Rei's pair of cat-like eyes lit up and grew rounder, "You don't mind if I come?"
"Of course not.
After all, my granny would be happy to make you the pumpkin pie that we grew in the backyard garden."
"I like pies-"
For a moment Luke lost my focus on Rei who was talking because just now it seemed Luke saw the silhouette of the girl in the black jacket, near the pillar on the platform.
But as soon as Luke turned his head, the silhouette appeared to be just a woman in a thick coat and baseball cap. Luke and the woman stared at each other for a moment.
Strange.
Very weird. Luke was sure that what he had seen was the girl in the black coat and not a woman in a thick coat. What's even more strange is why Luke suddenly reflexively looked for this mysterious girl. But it could be that it was due to the light effect from the train that had just arrived and its arrival caused streaks of light to appear and sink before the train finally stopped.
"...
Luke," Rei called out. "Are you looking for someone?"
The right target.
Of course Luke hastily shook his head. He chose to lie rather than have to explain it to Rei. It would sound ridiculous if Luke said that he was looking for the unknown figure of the girl in the black jacket who gave Luke the itching medicine on the train. Rei definitely won't believe it.
Because the train was full, Luke and Rei had to stand up.
Rei leaned against the carriage post, his back to the glass window. While Luke stood face to face with Rei who automatically made him accidentally look at the window pane. For two seconds, Luke could not believe what he saw through the reflection of the glass window.
Let's call Luke crazy but he swears that for two seconds Luke saw some hairy thing twitching on the back of Rei's waist.
Luke even dared to swear.
