The nice calm road and belly are full of juicy barbeque pork with a peaceful conversation been thrown into the mix as we travelled to a wood cabin near a beautiful lake.

“So y’all are actually from another world and…” Nala said but was interrupted by ‘Erik'.

“No, the same world, another dimension” he corrected her with a sweet smile.

“Yea…where God, Satan and many more exist,” she asked “so you are a soul carrier” she turned to Poppy as she nodded “and you are a shapeshifting demon” she turned to Jasper who nodded bored “and you two are?” she turned to us.

“I am a witch, but I am from this world” I smiled at her then turned to ‘Erik'.

“you are…” before she could finish ‘Erik’ sat forward.

“We are here” we come to a stop far from the entrance of the cabin. “Give us a moment” ‘Erik’ hopped out of the car and moved towards the gate.

“You dodged a bullet there” I joked as he waves me off.

“Shut up” he called back before crouching near a bush.

“you sure she is not here,” I asked staring at the wooden cabin up top.

“Pray with all that is in me that she isn't” he grunts under his breath.

“Oh, Praying…don't get soft on me” I smile as I tracked by to the car “don’t worry, she can't be there this time of year”

“Hells burning fire, I hope so” he followed slowly behind me.

….

After everyone had settled into the cosy cabin which had four bedrooms that surrounds a lounge/fireplace area with tv mounted on it, overlooking an open plan kitchen, we all sat around the fireplace telling stories about the old times.

“so we were on top of this cliff with red angry lava surrounding us as far as the eye can see” Jasper explained enigmatically “if it weren't for Azrael, we would have to be captured or even worst cast into a bare body” he smiled at me which made me struggle.

“Azrael…who is that?”Nala whispered slowly with her wide-eyed gaze.

The room grew silent “the angel of death” Jasper whispered watching ‘Erik’ closely.

“oh, I hope we don’t run into him” she joked but ‘Erik's' jaw clenched intention.

“she,” he said but when we turned to look upon him, he mouth was right as if he didn’t say a word “she was beautiful, guardian of the death, you shouldn't fear her. She is of God after all” he announced standing to his feet.

“but God locked out of Heaven” Jasper raised his voice a little.

“why,” Nanala asked with wonder behind her eyes.

“The sins of other” Jasper gave ‘Erik’ a death glare “she was thrown out and cast down because of a man seeking only for….” Jasper stops at the soft voice.

“enough” ‘Erik' whispered “its time for bed, I think Miss. O’Brien had one hell of a day” he smiled at Nala.

I stood to my feet and shoved her into one of the guess rooms “how are you feeling?” I asked as we moved towards the room “I guess my approach to pulling you out the window and yelling must have frightened you?

“it did at first but then you gave me a choice, you didn’t silence me” she rumbled “if that makes sense” I nodded it does. “But why are they after me, I have no bad blood with anyone, especially that world…I…I mean…it” I stopped her with a gentle hand on her shoulder.

“we discuss it tomorrow, right now you need rest, ok?” I looked down at her as she nodded, I help her into the room and made should she was ok before returning to the group but hushed shouting.

“You have to tell her, set her free” it was Jasper's voice.

“I will, once this is over,” Lucifer said back “I need her still” he voice lowered.

“Sooner you tell her the sooner she can forgive you” Jasper huffed and lowered his voice “it’s been….

“I KNOW HOW LONG it BEEN!” Lucifer shouted as I moved into the lounge

“Quiet” he moved to the two men “do you want her to listen?” I asked as I let my eyes move against the room. “where is Poppy?

“she went hunting, she needed alone time” Lucifer mentioned looking at me.

“ok, so what now?” I asked sitting on the couch leather couch

“I didn’t expect the scouts to find us so quickly, Mother is stepping up her game” he paced the floor back and forth.

“what do we do now?” Jasper asked looking between us two.

“What you will do is sneak into Hell, find the best routes in” he rubbed his face “I am sure Mother renovated,” he said as Jasper disappeared with a grim face. “Nat, we stay here, keep her safe and keep her entertained,” he said from the far side of the room.

“You will have to tell her eventually” I whispered looking down at my legs which I laid across the couch.

“I know, I am waiting for the right time” he huffed as his eyes found mine “Rest, your soul is too energetic for my liking,” he said walking away.

“I thought immortals don’t need rest” I shouted after him.

….

We don't sleep but we do relive memories, mine was filled with darkness, blood and sorrow that turned to luxury, fame and fortune but my mind still lingers to simple times, out in the old west, guns blazing and cowboy shooting, hunting werewolves and killing vampires. The element was hunt or be hunted but it held the best memories of stories by the campfire, cold nights all wrapped in a fur blanket and the arms of his stiff composer, Meeting Poppy and Jasper in an old beaten down saloon where we drunk the night away. Memories….

I felt pain slap me across my face as I came to, sitting on my stomach was the one and only Hela, her short red curls and big red eyes look down at me, I pushed her off as she laughed out worldly. She stood to her feet only to be tackled down by her brother, he placed a hand over her mouth and looked at me in panic.

“what are you doing here?” he asked her as he held her into a headlock.

“getting strangled by you,” she said before breaking the headlock with a “ hiya, Oh, big bro, haha….you are gonna get it” she was ready to pounce when I stepped in between them which made her change her action to grab me by the waist. “hey, Beautiful, steal my soul, why don't you?” Hela whispered in my ear as she winked at her brother.

“what are you doing here? Hela” I asked as she kissed my neck slowly before suddenly biting it “ouch, Hela!” I rubbed my neck.

“Ok, ok” she raised her hands in surrender “Well, I met this guy and he bought me…like 20 beers, told me I was pretty….” She went on by her brother insisted.

“Hela!” he warned as I looked to the hallway then grabbed his hand and push Hela out the back door onto the deck.

“Go on,” I said as she moved towards me again, taking my hands in hers and waving them about “well, he tried to rape me and kill me but I skinned him then walked the whole way here,” she said pressing her finger to my nose.

“Why didn’t you teleport here?” Lucifer rubbed her eyes.

“Because I was hope up on spirit juice” she winked at me before running to stone and hitting it open to find bottles of the stuff “I brought more on my way back from Rainbow Valley” she turned to me with a smile, “Sean says hi” she waves at me as she throws the bottles at him “Now, who is the bitch in my bed?” she face turned stone cold “you two think of that dumb” she crossed her arm, I looked to Lucifer who eyes were cast down.

“She is a pure soul,” I said as Hela face turned to pure sadness, she went up to her brother and hugged him.

“Oh, my, we got get the girl ready then,” she said moving to the house.

“Hela, wait!” I moved to the door and stood in front of it “she doesn’t know yet” I said as she turned to him.

“How the hell did you get her here then?” she asked looking at him.

“Well, Nat,” he began to laugh “she pulled the poor soul out a halted car and gave her choices of life and death, it’s shocking and hella hilarious” he chuckled which made me smile at the scene while I noticed Hela's wondering eyes.

“If I remember correctly, you were ready to kill me” I joked as he moved closer to me.

“I was but a small voice said to trust you already” he smiled but his eyes got intense “ and I do trust you, Nat” I smiled at him and pushed his head away.

“Now, let’s wake up the cupcake” Hela appeared next to me.

After our unfaithful visitor we started the day as normal as on the run might be, we now sat in the middle of lounge watching some sort of show while ‘Erik’ and Hela had disappeared outside, I watched the tv not taking anything in when I turned to Nanala who seems engrossed by the scene before her. I stood to my feet summoning a bow and arrows, guns and a sword, I moved to her long body and switched off the tv.

“come on,” I said moved to the back of the cabin through awaiting double French doors into the backyard facing the lake.

“what are you doing?” Erik appears out of nowhere which made Nanala and I jump.

“teaching her some basics, self-defence” I shook off his curiosity and death glare.

“She doesn’t need it,” he said turning to Nanala “could you give us a moment?” he asked her with gentle eyes

“Sure” she smiled running into the cabin lightly.

“she doesn't need to learn this stuff, she will end up getting hurt” He argued as I shook my head.

“She will end up dead with that attitude,” I said moving to make a practice area.

“I will protect her,” he said watching my every move.

“And what happens when you are not around to protect her,” I said moving towards him

His nose flared as we stared deep into the eyes of each other “FINE!” he huffed before turning towards the door “if she gets hurt, I will kill you”

I held Nanala by her waist as she aimed a bow and arrow towards a target, I kept fixing her stance while she kept asking questions about Erik.

“So why is he mad, all the time,” she asked as I straightened her chin.

“He's not mad, he's worried,” I said slowly “try now, stance proud and confident, arrow straight,” I said as I stood back.

“I don’t think to have the confidence for that” she whispered as she released the arrow and it missed the target.

“That’s your problem” I moved to her once more “do you know why you are here?” I said as I lifted her arms once more

“While no one wants to tell me,” she said irritated.

“you are a pure soul, untouched by darkness of this world,” I said as took the bow and arrow from her hand placed it on a nearby table.

“I am far from a pure soul” she huffed when ‘Erik' appeared behind her.

“having thoughts of sexual nature are that of a human, it’s natural” he spoke softly as if to seduce her. “but you have not once had thoughts of someone in pain, in vengeance, in pure evilness” he grasped

“You shine, Nanala” I smiled at her “people want to destroy that which reflects their shortcomings” I moved to the door “but we will protect you” I passed ‘Erik’ and gave him a look before entering the house.

I marched through the open front door, out into the woods that grew nearby, I walked for hours until I came to a clearing of a little lake with pabbles surrounding it, I sat down on a rock that bordered the water, listening to the sound of wind through the tree and birds flying above them. I let my mind wander to couple now sitting and talking, staring into the eyes of each other, sharing a small sweet smile and wishing I was in her place but it’s not my destiny. Even though from the beginning it felt like it was, engrossed with my inner thoughts I was interrupted by the sound of a stick snapping, I summoned my toothpick dagger and quickly thrown towards the sound only to have it push into a tree and disappear in a puff of smoke.

“on edge, are we?” Hela said as she walked towards me.

“I am sitting in the middle of the woods, what do you think?!” I pushed my hair back, rejecting my rudeness “sorry, just worried” I said as she plopped herself down next to me.

“don’t be” she placed her arm around my shoulders “he won't kiss her yet” she joked as I pushed her off.

“Fuck off” I stood walking a tad bit away from her “I just want to be alone” I wrapped my arms around myself.

“And what? Sulk” she shouted from afar “honey, I love you, I do but being sad over man is way too pathetic” she stood upon a stone, stuffing her hands into her beat-up leather jacket “I mean he is the worst of males around here” she laughed as I just stared at her.

“I don’t need a lecture, Hela, I just need alone time,” I said walking away once more.

“No, love, what you need it a drink” she summoned her spirit beer “let’s have some fun” she winked before teleporting towards me and grabbing my arm.

….

After the knowing eyes from Nat, I knew I had to step in and confess as much as I can at this point but the more I look at Nanala the more I like the idea of stay up here under her sun. She sat quietly watching my every move, her crisp white teeth bite down lightly on her pink pouting lips, the way her cotton emerald green dress flowed away from her but clung to her every breath and how her ginger hair fell like rose petals against her shoulders. She was beautiful, pure with a hint of mischief behind her sparkling blue eyes, I moved towards her silently and as a gentle gesture, presented my hand to her and held my breath, for a few seconds I thought she would shy away from my presence but she didn’t, she took my hand and I held a smile.

I spin her around to watch her being in movement, I wanted to be present at moment I saw her body move lively for I couldn’t believe my dream stood before me, alive and breathing. I pulled her close and prepared myself for what followed:

“I know nothing about you” she whispered into my three-piece suit

“why is it that I am not afraid,” she asked in a whimper of a voice “why does my mind keep coming back to you?
