A young handsome man is seen seated in an office which is filled with medical equipments,. The young man is Doctor Ray, a well known medical doctor for his intelligence and compassionate heart. He is the doctor in charge of Zika’s treatment and the reason he has been alive for long now. Doctor Ray was busy going through the patient‘s files, when he heard a knock on the door.
“Yes come in.”
Door opens and Kate enters,
“Doctor Ray, good day I was told you were looking for me.”
“Oh! Kate, i came to check on you before but was told you went out.”
“Yes I went for a job interview, just came back now and decided to come see you immediately.” “That’s good, so were you able to raise the money for the surgery?”.
“Dr please give me more time, am trying my best to raise the money, Kate pleaded.
“Kate you know that if this was not important I will not be asking you about it, Zika really needs that surgery so he can get well. All these drugs that we are giving him will only hold him for sometime but the surgery is a lasting solution.”
“Dr I know, I have been trying my best to raise the money.”
“Then your best is not good enough, you seems not to understand what this sickness is all about and how it kills people if care is not taken. Now listen let me explain it properly.”
“Coronary artery disease (CAD) is the most common  form of heart disease.It happens when the blood vessels that carry blood to the heart (called coronary arteries) become narrowed or blocked. CAD can sometimes lead to heart attacks.
The symptoms are different for everyone. Some people may not have any symptoms, while others may experience:
pressure, squeezing, burning, or tightness in the chest during physical activity, cold sweats, dizziness, nausea or indigestion, neck, shoulder, or arm pain, shortness of breath, especially with activity, weakness

being physically active, following a healthful, balanced diet, managing stress, stopping smoking, limiting alcohol intake, losing weight
Many people with CAD need medication. Some drugs will ease or stop the chest pain, whereas others will treat health conditions that might be contributing to CAD.
For people with advanced CAD, doctors might recommend a surgical procedure, such as a percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI)eDuring a PCI, heart surgeons will unblock or widen the affected blood vessels. They will then put a small tube, or stent, in the vessel to stop it from narrowing again. Some people with severe CAD may need open heart bypass surgery.
“In Zika’s case, being that he is a child, we can’t reduce any lifestyle because he obviously has none. This is why I suggested the surgery.”
 “Now I understand better.”
“So you really need to get the money ready, because as It stands now we don’t have much time, Zika doesn't have time. When am talking of time, am talking of months here.”
Surprised, Kate asks “what do you mean?
“I mean we have to do this surgery at least within the next few months or else...”
“Or else what? Kate interrupts him.
“Am not trying to scare you but am only getting you prepared for the worst In case it happens.”
“Nothing will happen doctor, I will get the money soon. I have to go now so I can gather the money.”
“Alright, will be expecting to hear from you.”
With that Kate rushed out of the office, she rushed to ZIka’s ward almost in tears.
In the room Zika is fast asleep, Emma was waiting for Kate to return from the doctor‘s office. The door opens and Emma seeing Kate in tears was confused, she felt something was wrong.
“Kate what is it, why are you crying, what did the doctor say?”
Kate seeing that her son is sleeping now, was relieved at least he wouldn’t see her in this state. “The doctor said I don’t have much time to raise money for the surgery, that if I don’t raise the money early enough something bad might happen to Zika.”
“It’s alright, come and sit down.”
Kate sat down still crying, Emma what do I do, I don’t want to lose Zika, am scared something bad will happen to him if I don’t get the money on time.”
Emma went to hug, “it’s okay my darling, am sure we will find a way to sort things out.”
“How do I sort this problem out, I don’t even have money to feed not to talk of for drugs and surgery.”
“How about you start a business.”
Kate laughed in tears, “business you say, with which money. Emma you and I know I don’t have money and no bank would give me loan because I don’t have any collateral.
“Yes I know you can’t get a loan but I can get one, I can use my father‘s house as collateral.”
“No I won’t let you do that, I can’t allow you do such a thing. That house is your only inheritance from you late father and you want to give it up for me. No I won’t let you do that.”
“Kate listen to me, am not doing this for you alone, yes you are my friend and Zika is your son but he is also my son. This is a boy I watched grow up, I even took care of him like my own, I can’t watch him slip away from us just like that when I can be of help.”
In defeat Kate said, “thank you very Emma, what would I do without you.
“You don’t have to thank me, we are in this together, Emma cheered her up. “Now enough of this, come let’s get something to eat.”
They both went out to look for what to eat.”
