Chapter Eight

Greed is one of the most dangerous feeling you could ever have. Greed for the power, greed for wealth and greed for personal benefits. However, contentment can erase such feeling. But who am I kidding? People’s interest for something never stops. Once you already have what you’ve wished for a long time, you’ll start having interest for different things. There’s nothing wrong with that. But if these interests grew bigger and bigger to the point that you want to have everything in the world, it’s already greed. And that’s ridiculous! You can’t have everything in the whole world.

“Are we really going to surrender these to authorities?” Helen asked while pointing her index finger on the gold bars.

We decided to stop by in a fastfood chain first. Not because we’re hungry, but because we need to talk. Helen on the other hand grabbed me forcefully going inside and now interrogating me regarding those gold bars I’ve found.

My forehead wrinkled in confusion “Why not? Don’t tell me you want to keep it?

“Its gold bars, Berry!” she whispered with emphasis on her words.

“Don’t be blinded with such treasure Helen. You have plenty of money stored in the bank.

“That’s the point. Whoever can see these might keep it for their selves. No one can ever resist a wealth that’s been offered.” she explained and look around. People kept stealing glances on us even though we’re on the corner. But I didn’t mind at all.

I know for sure that we looked creepy. I am full with cuts all over my arms and legs while Helen had a swollen lips and a hematoma under her right eye. She doesn’t seemed hurt anyway.

“So?” I lean on my chair and stare at her blankly “It’s the least of my concern now”

She rolled her eyes at me and sip on her softdrinks.

“Really, Berry?” she sneered “You didn’t care?

    “Yeah” I nodded “I don’t care”

She sigh unbelievably with my answer. But what can I do? We can’t keep it also. It’s not ours to spend. I believe the authorities can handle it better than we can. It’s going to be a matter between honor and wealth. If ever, these gold bars could be a challenge for them. A challenge that will show how long they could stop their selves and how long they could stand with their promises as peacekeepers to the citizens.

“Aren’t we going to leave?” I asked impatiently and glanced at my wristwatch. We still have work to do in Sunshine Bay. We need to be there before the sunrise or else we will lost the only chance we have to take all the drugs. And it would be a big problem for us if those drugs gets off from our grasp. A hundreds or thousands of people can be possibly get addicted to it, worse it’d ruin their life as well.

“We need to change our plans” she stated without blinking.

    “Pardon?

“Come on, Berry!” she whined and crosses her arms.

“Don’t come on me, Helen.” I replied deadpanned. What the fuck is that? Changing plans in the middle of our actual mission? Is she serious?

“Can you hear me out first?” she said sounding annoyed with me “Stop your bitchiness for a while. You must listen to my ideas and I promise you, we won’t get in trouble.

I sigh in defeat and signalled her to go on. I don’t literally have a choice since we’re here already. She better have a good idea about it or else I’m going to pull out every strand of hair from her head.

“We will work separately at Sunshine Bay’s port. You’ll do whatever you want with your own way and I’ll do the same.” she simply explained. But I still don’t get what’s good with that.

“Explain further” I demanded and massage my temple.

“Accept it, Berry. We aren’t good with team mission. You don’t like me disobeying your orders and I don’t like being told on what to do. So let’s just separate for a while and eliminate our enemies. Our top goal today is to get all the drugs and after that we’re done.

“Okay. No problem.” I replied while nodding my head.

“Very good” she finally smiled “I already informed Agent Orbs about it and I requested for another eyes. She can’t watch us both later. It will be too hard on her part and it will create a miscommunication between us. Is there any particular Agent in your mind who can be your eyes?

I shook my head “Anyone will do”

She clicked her tongue in disappointment “You’re not even comfortable with other Agents. Unsociable brat!

    “Likewise” I rebutted and grinned.

    “Tsk. Ber—”

“One more Berry from you and I’ll definitely cut your dirty tongue” I menaced. “For the nth time, it’s Berille”

“Whatever, Snow.” she said while rolling her eyes at me “Anyway, I’m going to give you a signal later.

“A signal for what? I thought I can do it my way

“I decided to go first and you’ll follow me when you already heard a gunshot.

I disapprovingly look at her “Stop. I won’t do that. We’ll go separately, yes. You’re going first, no.

    “But—”

“Enough with your stubbornness. I agreed with this because I know we’ll only waste time arguing. Actually, aside from arguing, I’m also shocked when you suddenly made a reckless move. Just like earlier, we agreed to do it quietly but what did you do? You throw your swiss knife without informing me and worse, you literally gave those men a warning.” I complained “You didn’t listen to me. And you often shout on your mouthpiece. You’re going to break my eardrums with your loudness, goodness gracious Helen.

“Stop your rants Berille Adams.” she said laughing “You also teased me and of all people, you knew my personality very well.

I shrugged and let my head cool down “Yeah. Very bossy”

Instead of denying, she just laugh at me again and throw a fries on my face. Tsk, the kid is playing.

“We don’t really have a good plan right?” I asked after a minute of silence between us. She raised her head to meet my eyes.

“Nah, you’re underestimating my bright idea”

“Bright idea, tsk” I snorted “I mean we don’t have proper plans on how are we going to do it. There’s no even a map of the location or on how we can enter and exit the place. There’s no Plan B in here. We’ll die if we’ll die, we’ll win if we’ll win.

She pouted her lips and look at her fingernails “Not as if we really need a plan for this. We will kill whoever gets on the way, that easy.

    I pursed my lips. “Heartless”

“Likewise” she rebutted mimicking my tone earlier. I laughed humorously. But I immediately bite my lips to suppress it when I notice that people around us are looking at me amusedly. I don’t know if they are listening or just plainly staring at us. It’s too obvious. They won’t even budge to look away whenever we look at them. Tsk, people!

“How about our real plan in Blue whale’s ocean?” I asked and fix my things on the table.

“It’s already settled. We will do what was planned regarding on that one.

“Okay. No more changing of plans in last minute. Let’s go, we need to hurry.

We quickly stood up from our seat and went straight to the counter. A woman in her early twenties is smiling at us. She’s wearing her uniform as a worker in this fastfood chain—a combination of white and red polo shirt and a black pants.

I look at her nameplate. Diane, hmm.

“Yes, Ma’am? May I take your order?” she asked and grinned afterwards.

“A poison please” Helen answered with bitchiness on her tone. What’s her problem? She seemed annoyed by just looking at the woman in front of us. Did they know each other?

I looked at Diane’s reaction. Instead of getting irritated, she smiled wider at Helen. She even wink at her.

“Are you crazy?” Helen asked in disbelief. She stomped her feet on the floor and crosses her arms. She acts like a kid with that action she just made. I scratch my brows.

“No” the woman replied “Are you?

Helen cursed beside me and look at me with irritation.

“Talk to her. I don’t like her.” she said and stormed out.

I shook my head repeatedly. She started it, but she’s the one who get annoyed first.

“I guess I made your friend’s blood boil.” she said nonchalantly and pursed her lips “So what can I do for you?

I placed the laptop bag on the counter “Give this bag to Ma’am Tiu.

    “And?

“Tell her that Agent H. will explain everything to her after four days”

    “Okay. Anything else?

    “That’s all”

“Okay. But wait me here for a minute. I’m going to give you something.” she said and held the bag on her arms.

    “Just make it quick.

She immediately went inside their locker room. I don’t personally know her but she’s also an Agent from our organization. She’s a senior agent like Helen. We never get into missions together, that’s why I barely knew her. I don’t even have a clue what her codename is.

After a while, I can see her walking towards me while holding a duffle bag.

“You may need this” she said and handed the bag to me. “These are weapons”

“Oh! Thanks” I replied coldly and held the bag.

“And if you don’t mind, please give this to your friend.

I look at her hand. And I automatically smirk when I saw that it was a calling card.

I didn’t bother to answer her and just snatch the card on her hand before I rudely stormed outside. I even heard her shouted thanks to me.

“What’s that?” Helen asked while comfortably sitting on her motorcycle.

“She gave us weapons to use.

She arched her brows at me “Really? That annoying girl gave that?

I smiled playfully to her “Do you like her?

“What? No way! She’s stupidly getting on my nerves!” she shouted defensively. I laugh at her reaction. The heck! She looked flustered. Her ears were red. And she keeps on fidgeting her fingers too.

I cover my mouth while still laughing at her.

    “Snow” she glared at me.

“Stop blushing” I said and bite my lips “I almost forgot, she’s giving this card to you”

She even blushed more while looking at the calling card on my hand. “What the hell? There’s no way I would accept that.

I shrugged my shoulders and throw away the card without her permission.

“If you say so. Let’s go.

She look at me quickly with unreadable expression on her face before she look away and wear her helmet. I saw a glint of hesitation on her eyes but it was too quick for me to confirm it. Why hesitate?

I snorted with her reaction as I silently sat behind her again. I even heard her murmuring something before she started driving fast.

It’s passed three in the morning already. And only people who works at night shifts are still awake at this time. Clubs in this area are still open, together with the twenty-four hours open fastfood chains. Even some hotels and convenient stores are still open. So it wasn’t so much dark here. I can see some people walking on the streets and some are still working.

We arrived in Sunshine Bay exactly four in the morning. The cold air passes through my face and I can already hear the sound of a calm small waves of the sea. There are few trees on the area and birds are freely flying on the air.

We fixed our mouthpiece and earpiece before Helen connected it to our eyes. I on the other hand opened the duffle bag on top of the motor and scanned the things inside. It was full of pistols and bombs. There is also a big sniper rifle and few bullets.

This is Agent Iris who will be your eyes for today.

“Fuck!” I muttered when someone suddenly speaks on my earpiece. Helen confusedly look at me. But I just signalled her to come near me and find any weapon she wants.

It was such a nice greeting, Agent Snow.

I secretly rolled my eyes with her sarcasm “It’s you again, Agent Iris.

Yes. How may I help you this time, Agent Snow?

“Memorize every part of the port” I ordered as I raised the rifle and cock it.

Copy. Do you need anything else?

“Nothing as of now” I coldly replied and look at Helen who’s now wiggling her brows at me. “Why are you looking at me like that? You look stupid.

She touch her chest with indescribable emotion on her face. What happened to her?

“Ouch. I’m hurt, Snow.” she said and act like she was really hurt. Ugh, I want to kick her ass out of here. “It seems like you knew your eyes today. Who is she? I thought you weren’t close to anyone aside from me?

She’s trying to tease me again. Too bad, I don’t care about my eyes. She just helped me one time and now helping me again this time. That’s all our connection. It was purely business and nothing more. I may like women but I don’t easily like a person. I won’t. I can’t. I’ll never.

“Oh yeah?” I scoffed “Have you seen a head exploding after I shoot it?” I asked innocently and aim the rifle on her head.

She laughed while raising both of her hands to surrender and step back a little “Okay, okay. I’ll zip my mouth.

I smiled in victory and grab some bullets “I’ll go now. See you later.

I left Helen to where she parked her motorcycle. It was a little bit far from the port so I needed to walk for a few minutes.

“How’s the port, Agent Iris?” I asked and hide on a tree when I saw two men strolling not too far from me.

There’s a big cargo ship on the sea loaded with huge containers. And a lot of men are busy carrying those big containers going to the side of the port where three trucks are parked. There are also men who were just standing and some are guarding the whole port. I suggest to attack them quietly. They quite seem prepared if ever someone will interrupt what they are doing.

I slowly peeped on the side of the tree and walk again when I saw that the area is now clear.

“Can you see everything clearly?” I asked while roaming my eyes around.

Not that clear, Agent Snow. But there are lights coming from the trucks and the ship.

“But can you see my location as of the moment?

I lean on a big red container and fished out my contact lenses from my backpack. It’s a night vision contact lenses. It enables you to see clearly even if it’s dark. It can also zoom in and zoom out some place. It just need to establish a direct connection to the agency and activate it to start. Your eyes can do that for you. They can zoom in a place you want to see closely and can send you some data if they connected your own night vision to their computer.

Every agent—may it be a newbie or a boss— has their own night vision contact lenses.

I look at my night vision contact lenses. It is light brown in color, just like my natural eye color. I carefully get it and put it in my eyes. I blinked thrice as I tried to adjust my eyes with the contact lenses.

Yes, Agent Snow. And a guy wearing blue shirt and black pants is walking towards your direction. He’s alone and unarmed.

“Activate my night vision now” I commanded and grab my V-Pisleep.

I stayed on my place while listening carefully to every step of the man near me. I aim the gun on my right and lean my body closely to the container.

Activated! He’s two steps away from you.

In an instant, I noticed everything around me becomes brighter and clearer.

I walk silently going on the edge of the container before I angled myself and faced the man. He looked shocked for a second before he loses his consciousness when I shoot him on his chest.

I look around, once again. There are a lot of big containers here. Some are blue but mostly are red. I notice that its exterior height is about nine feet. I can’t even reach the top when I extended my arm. The width is eight feet and its length is around forty feet.

The position of each containers are somehow oppose from one another. Some are horizontally placed in front of me and some were vertical. The gap between these containers are too narrow that I can barely move. That’s why I decided to climbed it up.

I carefully push myself upward using my hands gripping some part of the container and my feet trying to support my weight and balance. I am stepping my feet into the lock when I extended my right hand on top of the container, followed by my left hand and slowly push myself once again.

When I’m finally on top of the container, I quietly put down my backpack together with the sniper rifle beside me. Then I knelt on the container while loading the other guns with bullets. I hid a pistol underneath my pants and hid two daggers beneath my black ankle boots.

Here in this position, I can already see the big cargo ship loaded with different containers. The sea that shines in the breaking dawn through the light coming from the stars and the moon in the skies. Those heavenly bodies are twinkling in my eyes. Too many stars in a dark sky. And they are so beautiful to watch. They are the beauty that shines in this very awful place.

“Where are the trucks, Agent Iris?” I asked as I can’t see it from here.

    To your left, Agent Snow.

I look at my left but to my dismay it’s too far from where I am. It’s too small that I confused it with a mere flashlights.

“Zoom in the exact place. I want to see it closely.

    Copy, Agent Snow.

After a while, I can finally see the trucks clearly. It’s a type of truck uses for transporting goods. Its back portion is facing the sea and there are men who are busy putting different attaché case inside the truck. I guess, they don’t want to waste any time. They want to deliver the drugs to their buyers right away.

I shook my head. They are too greedy for money.

“Tell me the location and exact position of Agent H.” I ordered again and held the rifle in my arms. It’s good to use it in a long distance shot. However, I would still be needing a long suppressor to minimize the noise coming out from it.

I fixed the suppressor on the rifle and lie almost half of my body over the container. It’s a good position, although it refrain me from moving a lot. And then I peeped through the iron sight to see if there were people around.

She’s inside the cargo ship, moving silently while setting a time bomb.

I pursed my lips. I won’t deny that Helen is doing well. I just hope she knew what she’s doing. I trusted Helen during mission, but I do not like how reckless she is more than me. If there’s an open opportunity to arrest everyone, she will probably grab it without second thought. She loves doing things fast. And I doubt if it’s a good thing everytime.

I open my bag and grab my gum inside. This is a way for me to concentrate better. I tossed the gum in the air before I catch it with my own mouth. Then I chew it immediately and aim my rifle to someone who’s peeing right now beside the container before pulling the trigger twice.

    “Oh bloody hell!

I heard a loud footsteps near me. Six men hurriedly went to the man I shoot. Then they all look around, trying to find the culprit of his death.

I chewed loudly and cocked my rifle again.

“Hey” I said trying to call for their attention. “Looking for me?

“Where the hell are you?” someone shouted and he sounded pissed rather than afraid. Hmm, they are more fearless than those who stayed in the building I guess. They seem quite shock but I can see in their eyes that they are eager to kill someone—which is probably me.

I didn’t bother to wait for them to look up and just pulled the trigger many times to kill them all. I was supposed to have fun and played with them, but time is ticking. Anytime the truck will go so we need to stop them before they can even leave.

I loaded the rifle with bullets again and stood up.

“I need to go to where the trucks are. Warn me if someone is chasing me, Agent Iris.

I held the sniper rifle and run on top of the containers, making sure that I did it as quiet as I can.

    Wait! You need to jump!

Agent Iris warned me but I already did jumped and landed my feet on the other container. As I said, the distance between containers aren’t that far from each other. So it’s easy for me to jump over other containers and run like I was the criminal.

I run to my left and jump towards the other container. And then I run again. I did it many times until Agent Iris spoke up.

Someone saw you, Agent Snow. Go back, he’s calling someone on the phone.

I automatically stop from running and hold both of my knees.

“What?” I hissed while panting hard. “Where?

    He called some back-ups. And…

“And?” I impatiently asked and combed my hair using my fingers.

…they were already right behind you, Agent Snow.

I stiffened for a second. But I immediately composed myself and straighten my back. I secretly cussed under my breath before closing my eyes and remain chewing the gum. If I wasn’t mistaken, they are more than five. I can hear their footsteps around me. And I’m sure, they all run towards the other containers and surrounded me.

“Put down your weapons, red-haired bitch” a man said monotonously so I opened my eyes immediately.

I slowly faced them. And I was right. They are more than five—more than ten actually. And they are all glaring at me.

“Now!” someone shouted from my right. He was four meters away from me and if looks could kill, I am probably dead by now.

I look at them poker face and slowly bent my upper body to put down the rifle.

“What are we going to do now?” I heard someone asked from my back “We can’t let her go”

The guy in front of me smiled mockingly “Then kill her. If boss found out that someone sneaked in during the operation, we will all die in his hands.

I snorted. I’ll kill you first before you can touch me.

They all aim their gun to me and was about to shoot me when we heard a loud horn coming from the ship. It signals that the ship was done delivering all the containers and it’ll sail again on the sea.

We all watch the ship as it goes away and not long enough, the ship exploded creating a huge image of fire in the middle of the dark sea.

I mentally smirk and immediately grab the pistol underneath my pants and shoot them. It has no silencer so definitely a continuous loud bang echoed in the whole bay.

When they all ducked, I hurriedly jump going down and run. I can still hear them chasing me and firing me with bullets.

“Fuck, fuck!” I cussed and run towards my right. They tried to shoot me again so I ducked and cover my head while still running. I turn to my left and hide in a blue container for few seconds and return the bullets they wasted on me. I shoot them nonstop until my pistol run out of bullets.

I hurriedly grab some bullets on my backpack and load it again before I cock it.

“Fuck you stupid little red-haired bitch! You’re ruining our day!” I heard someone yelled angrily. “Whoever you are, we will surely kill you until your face and body can’t be recognize anymore. Then we’ll dump you there, over the sea so no one could see you ever again! You pestered us big time!

He’s too noisy for a man. Tsk!

“Agent Iris, tell me the coordinates of the trucks. Is it still too far from me?” I asked and breathe heavily.

Still far, Agent Snow. Go straight to your left. You are surrounded with armed men.

I shook my head instantly. I need to face those guys first.

“Where the heck are you? Come out now. Don’t be scared, you sneaky little cat.

My brows wrinkled in disagreement. Little cat? A kitten? I’m a tigress, dumbass!

I sigh and feel the atmosphere getting heavier around the port. Birds flying earlier were now gone. And so the air smells like a burning wood coming from the ship. Oozing of blood is everywhere. And lifeless bodies scattered on the ground.

    “Come out—”

I cut the noisy little jerk from what he’s about to say when I showed myself and shoot him right away on his throat. He fell on the ground lifeless. Serves you right!

I was busy looking how pitiful the man was when someone from my back locked his arms on my neck. I open my mouth to catch some air and elbowed the guy. He step back but eventually pulled my hair.

“Damn!” I hissed and turn my body before I kick him between his legs. He literally cursed me and held his bulge under his pants while jumping like an idiot. I look at his face and punch him hard. He was slammed in the container. I wanted to punch him again but someone from his left side started to shoot us.

I immediately grab the man’s collar and use him as my shield. Five men showed up in front of us and mercilessly tried to kill me. Their eyes are locked into mine. While the man I’m holding pleaded them to stop right now because I’m still holding him but they all acted like they didn’t hear anything and continued shooting us again. There’s only one thing they wanted. And that is to see me dead. So sacrificing one person isn’t bad just to catch me.

I cover myself with the man’s body before I swiftly aim my gun to them and return the gunshots. I run backwards and slammed the man’s body on the ground when I saw him not moving anymore. He’s dead now. And so I grab another gun on my backpack and hide on the container.

I am now holding a gun with my both hands when I showed myself to them. They all smirked at me and immediately surrounded me. I can’t help but to smile when my plan worked.

I look at them all before I made a three hundred sixty degree turn and shoot all of them on their most vital parts. And in one swift moved, they all died.

“Ah!” I winced and held my shoulder when someone shoot me from the dark. Where’s that damn person who shoot me?

I roam my eyes around and I saw a man on his forties smiling at me while waving his gun. He’s on top of the container and was busy watching me kill his friends.

I look at him and gritted my teeth before I shoot him on his forehead which lead him into his death right away. I guess he wasn’t expecting that since he didn’t even ducked and avoid my gunshot.

Agent H is trying to connect with us. Do you permit, Agent Snow?

“Yeah. Go ahead” I answered and lean on the container. I cut a piece of my cloth and immediately tied it into my wound. I’m bleeding again, for Pete’s sake.

    “Snow!” I heard Helen shouted.

I close my eyes hard “Don’t shout Agent H.

“Where are you?” she asked nonchalantly “Stop the trucks immediately. They finished getting all the drugs. And I’m coming there, too”

“Alright.” I answered and chewed my gum before I spit it out. It runs out of flavor. And I tasted nothing.

I cocked my gun and aim it on my both sides before shooting some guys who run towards me.

“Check the items inside the other containers, Agent Iris”

I stood up straight and touch my shoulder. It hurts! Damn it!

It’s empty. Agent H checked it a while ago.

I nodded my head and started to climb up another container. Then I started to run on top of it again, faster than earlier. There are still few who chased me and some tried to shoot me again. But I stop minding them. All that I can think of is to stop the trucks.

I remove my backpack from my shoulder and fished out the two bombs. I remove the pin and immediately throw it on my back.

A loud boom sound echoed in my ear and I swear it irritates my eardrums. Then I took a quick glanced on my back and I found out that nobody dared to follow me again.

I smiled mentally and continued running towards the trucks.

The trucks are starting to move from its place. They are leaving the place, Agent Snow.

I run faster and jump often to another container. It’s a good thing that I have a good stamina or else I would be lying here and couldn’t stand up anymore because of exhaustion.

“Damn this! What should I do? Any short cut, Agent Iris?” I asked gasping for a little oxygen.

Take the whole left way, Agent Snow. They will pass there. Block them if you want to.

“O-Okay, hah, I g-got this” I replied unable to talk properly. Then I quickly turned to my left and run in a faster speed. Is this really a mission or a marathon?

Since my night vision contact lenses were zoomed in earlier, I can see now the three trucks going out from the port. No, no way.

“You filthy jerk!” I heard Helen said in other line, followed by a loud slamming sound. “Sorry not sorry, you look like a shitty ball to me.” Helen laughed insultingly “Damn, I’ve mistaken your face with a hard ball that’s why I couldn’t help but to swing my baseball bat to you.

I heard a giggled sound coming from Agent Iris, but I didn’t give a damn to it anymore. I need to focus more in running since Helen is still enjoying playing with those men. I thought she will help me with this. Tsk, tsk!

When I’m only a few meters away from the first truck, I readied myself for a high jump.

“Damn you! You’re freaking gross!” Helen shouted.

“You shut up, H!” I said feeling annoyed with it “Disconnect the line, Agent Iris.” I ordered and jump as high as I can. But still, it wasn’t enough. I wasn’t able to land my feet on top of the truck, instead I fell. Luckily, I was able to grip some part of the truck. And now, my body is swaying while the truck is moving.

    Copy, Agent—

“Wait!” I shouted and placed both of my hands on top of the truck. I can hardly push myself upward because of the gunshot wound I received. “Come here quickly, H. They are leaving.

“Okay, I’m really coming now” she replied and a nonstop shooting sounds lingered in my ear.

“Disconnect it now! I can’t focus!” I complained. My body moved sideways when the truck made a sudden turn, causing me to almost lose my grip on the truck.

    Copy, Agent Snow.

“Shit” I hissed while still trying to push myself upward.

But a demon suddenly came into a show. A man wearing a black suit is standing comfortably on top of the truck. And then he smirks like a true evil at me.

“Having a hard time there?” he mockingly asked. He’s standing on top, while I am here gripping the top of the truck, hanging and literally stepping into the air.

I rolled my eyes secretly and look at him deadpanned.

His smirk fade away instantly. And to my shocked, he stepped into my hand hard. He move his foot sideways like he was just stepping into a cigarette.

I bite my lips hard to refrain myself in groaning. It fucking hurts!

A hurt expression crept into my face but I didn’t let him see it. No way I would give this man the satisfaction of seeing me hurt. So when I can somehow endure the pain, I raised my head and look at his reaction. He looked dismayed. Because instead of hearing me groan in pain, I smiled wickedly at him.

“Acting tough, huh?” he asked again for he didn’t get the reaction he want to see in me. “I wonder if you’re a police officer or a woman who had a hidden grudge against us. Tell me, did we kill your pathetic parents? Or somehow…” he paused and licked his lips “…one of those we raped”

My eyebrows meet in one line. Pathetic parents? And rape? Fuck him! He’s an evil!

I can’t help but to feel a raging anger within myself.

“I’ll kill you.” I whispered in my most venomous tone, just enough for him to hear me. “I will definitely kill you.
