Chapter 5: He is my brother

Kyle's POV

After I'm done with all my meetings for this day, I took my phone out of my bag to check if there is an urgent message in it. It vibrated a couple of times when I am in the middle of my last appointment. I had a few unimportant messages and a couple of phone calls and 3 voice mails from Anika.

I just ignored it, instead, I went to the terrace to have some fresh air. I am still at my office at this time of the day to finish all of my paperwork.

I grinned with the thought of Anika's situation. That serves her right. Nobody can beat the Aiden Kyle Alcantara, not even her. I'm glad that she used that Kai Ashton Alcantara as her name for the whole semester as I've suggested.

"Sir, you have a call from your dad. I think it's urgent, sir." I glanced at the office door. There I saw Lina, my dad's favorite employee, although he never got to know her capabilities even more for he retired a week after Lina and Jayden got hired in this company, she's still the apple of his eyes. Maybe because she somehow looks like dad's mom. They look pretty much alike.

I immediately picked the phone up. He just made sure that I am well informed of the important meetings that I need to attend this coming week and some boring reminders about the office. After doing so, he then hung the phone up.

One of the things he said caught my attention. It is to accompany Anika in conducting her team's survey at Boston University. I then again come up with another wicked but brilliant idea. I grinned with just the thoughts of letting her perish in my ways.

"Lina, could you please get me a pair of Boston University's uniform? I want it to fit perfectly for me. Thank you," I told Lina. I couldn't help but smile with the plan I had in my mind. I will be able to do something that will annoy her more aside from sending her to that school for some lame reason. But that thing's not enough for me to fully take my revenge at her. She humiliated me in front of my father. I'll just stop not until she begs me to do so. I uttered bitterly on my mind.

Anika's POV

Half an hour passed, Ana and I finally saw a couple of tees and pants that fit me perfectly. I am very thankful that those two dimwits did not look for me the whole time. After paying for my clothes, I walked Ana to a corner where Dad can easily see her. I silently watched from afar until I saw Dad picking her up.

"Kai! we thought you went home without informing us." I turned to face them when I heard Cody's voice. I saw Austin and Cody both carrying a paper bag. They intriguingly looked at these bags in my hand. I bought a lot of clothes since I guess it is the only opportunity I have plus, these are on sale. I also bought my outfit for the party tomorrow. I won't be able to talk to Ana again this week because I know that she'll be occupied. They'll be having their exams next week, besides that, it is the start of the classes for the college department.

It might be better if I focus on my agenda in this school. I've found a couple that I think will be of great help to this project. Fortunately, I've had a conversation with Lina and Jayden thru text yesterday, that is how I managed to update them about the progress on our project.

I talked to Jayden last night. He said that their boss was not in his office. Who the hell am I talking about too? It's none other than that son of a gun Aiden Kyle Alcantara. He is a childish, arrogant, barbaric, heartless jerk. The most useless child of the Alcantara family. Mr. Kardo Alcantara had three sons and a daughter. Kyle is the most peculiar among those four. He is the black sheep in the family. Others say that he is the most handsome among his brothers, I guess they should have their eyes checked. He doesn't even stand a chance with my Kyrus. That simpleton has had the most gruesome face for me. He is so disgusting. Well, I don't know why I resent that guy so much. I was just pissed with everything about him. I was annoyed with his game, even just hearing his name makes me want to slit his throat. I wanted to cut his tongue out of his mouth whenever I hear his voice. I hope he just got aborted when he is still in his mom's womb. with just the thought of him makes me want to throw up. And speaking of the devil, he is calling me. I cannot turn the call off nor answer it. My hands are occupied. I've been holding the paper bags since forever. These two gentlemen here seem to have no manners at all. Talking about sarcasm here. Finally, Cody swiped the answer button for me without asking if I need help with these bags. I snap back to reality when I remember that I was pretending to be a man. They don't see me as a girl that is why they never bothered to help me with these.' I concluded. Intelligent Anika, you've cracked the code of your ignorance.

"Anika, tell you what? I have good news and bad news for you." He said on the other line. I can do nothing but listen to his nonsense rants.

"But since I'm busy today I'll discuss the details to you tomorrow. Wait for my call." He said then hung up.

"Kai, who is that?" Austin asked, Cody just stared at me.

"I noticed that you've been texting him a while ago and now he's calling you, who is that?" I have nothing to say. he caught me off guard. I stared blankly at them while trying to think of a good alibi. I got shocked when Cody took my phone.

"Cody!" I tried to get my phone from him. He handed my phone to Austin.

"What?! pink wallpaper and a girly phone case?" Cody's next question, I ignored them. I need to get my phone back.

"Can't you just give it back?" I was starting to get angry with these two dimwits. It seems like they want to make fun of me. They won, I was annoyed right now. They even turned off Mr. Alcantara's second call. I'm dead meat now. That demon will get angry with me even more. These two morons here don't just stop. They even browsed my call logs. I can't get a chance to snatch it from them because they are way taller than me.

"Aiden Kyle?" Austin raised his eyebrows. His voice sounds intrigued.

"Are you related to him?" Cody asked. I couldn't find an answer when suddenly Austin left us there.

"He is an Alcantara, isn't he?" Cody's questions seemed endless. I ignored him. Austin's gesture is what bothers me right now. It might mean something else.

"Kai?"

"Fine, he is my brother. Happy now, gossip machine?!" I couldn't help it, he importunates me so much. I can't take it any longer.

"Okay." Finally, he stopped pestering me! I just rolled my eyes secretly. They did not notice me doing so since Austin is walking fast in front of me while, and Cody was behind me. A couple of minutes passed, someone grabbed my paper bags from behind.
