Chapter 4: Red Cheeks

"Kai, where have you been?" I was startled when Cody showed up in front of me.

"My God, Cody!" I shouted at him. I almost had a heart attack! I always tend to freak out whenever someone suddenly shows up in front of me.

"I'm sorry Kai, hurry up! Austin needs us." He grabbed my hand, I don't know why and where we are headed but His footsteps were big and I cannot catch up with him.

"Cody, careful!" I said, he stopped and looked at me, but he just ignored me and continued to walk without considering what I've said. I am really tired and pissed right now. I don't know when this asshole will stop dragging be around.

"Where are we going?! Wait!" I shouted at him but again he just looked at me and continued to walk. I have long legs too but I cannot walk as fast as what he's been doing for a couple of minutes now. I need to catch up with his phase for he might be dragging me the whole time like what he's doing right now. I tried to put a lot of effort to get my steps as big as his.

Later on, we found Austin in a corner looking so anxious. He seems to be nervous at the same time.

"Cody, finally you're here! I need your help." I was surprised when Austin suddenly spoke, it was obvious that he was nervous. I was more shocked when all of a sudden he shouted when he saw us coming his way. Glanced at me.

"I need your help. Both of you." He then looked at me again. Then turned his attention to Cody.

"What happened?" I asked. I was the only one here who doesn't know what is happening.

"Kai, maybe you should meet Camilla." I was shocked and my eyes widened because of Cody's suggestion.

"What?! No, are you kidding me?!" I ranted.

"I am not kidding Kai, Austin needs your help. We are roommates remember? We should be helping each other, right? This is just for tomorrow, okay?" I'll feel guilty when I Austin so sad, this guilt will just get worse if I don't help this guy. Tomorrow, Austin will try to propose to Camilla for the nth time. She is the girl I bumped a while ago in front of the restrooms. I still have no idea how to help Austin because I don't even know this girl personally. All I knew about her is her face and also her scent. By the way, have I told you that I am good at lady scents? Who am I talking to anyway? Nevermind. I guess Camilla is wearing Love Spell from Victoria's Secret. I love honeydew, vanilla lace, banana peel and more. I prefer sweet scents more than strong scents. I want those that last long on my skin or event on the clothes I wear. And speaking of scents I just have an idea for Austin, for him to be noticed by Camilla. I bet she's gonna like it.

"How about perfume, I think Camilla will like it" I suggested.

"How can you be so sure?" Austin asked. Cody looked at my direction.

"My ex-girlfriend used to love them too." I lied at them. Well, I don't have a girlfriend. I am a straight girl. And in fact, Kyrus is my first boyfriend and I am hoping that he'll be the last. I do experience heartbreak before, I was once a victim of one-sided love. I am the only one who enjoyed the things we used to do. I am the only one who showed my feelings for him. Well, pull yourself together Anika, Cody and I have to help Austin.

"How many exes do you have, young man?" Cody asked with a playful smirk. My cheeks suddenly turned red with that question. I tried to hide my face. I am afraid that they might tease me if they saw that I blushed with that question. I have to calm myself down to ease what I am feeling right now.

"A-Uhm, I o-only had one girlfriend." I stammer as I tried to lie once again.

"Okay, so Austin are you going to consider Kai's suggestion?" I glanced at Austin. Even if this is not the first time he will be asking Camilla to be his girl, he still feels nervous.

"Come on Austin, pull yourself together man. Be the best man! I know you can do it. You've done it once. I know you can do it better this time. You got to trust yourself." I tapped his shoulder to give some confidence, and I don't know what I am doing.

I always notice this with Kyrus, this is how he gives assurance to his friends when they are doubting themselves. I guess these things will be of great help when times like this come on my way while I am here at the University.

After that short talk, we planned to go to the mall to look for a perfume that we think will match Camilla's standards after the orientation. We headed back to the Auditorium to check if things were done there.

After the 5 hours of orientation, we finally got back to our dorm. Cody and Austin chose to wait for me in front of the University gate. I went straight to our room to get changed. I smell something unpleasant in my shirt maybe because I caught the odor of the men's restroom I used a while ago.

We enter a perfume shop. They sell a variety of scents for ladies and gents. Cody and I started to roam around the shop, while Austin stays on a shelve where the men's perfumes are.

"Kai, what do you think of this one?" Austin asked. Cody and I turned his direction. He's holding a clear-bottled perfume with the name Lacoste Red on its tag.

"Austin what are you doing? You should be looking for something that suits Camilla's personality? Why on earth are you on men's section? Do you think she is a boy?" Cody laughed with the sarcasm on my tone.

"I'm sorry, I don't even have an idea which one suits her. I not good at this," said Austin.

"Lacoste Red is for men, try to find something sweet-scented." Women love sweet, especially the mean girls. Nothing, I just wanted to mention those mean girls I saw a while ago. And I hate them, I hate mean girls so much.

"Here, try this one. Girls like me love this kind of scent, and I'm sure Camilla will like this as well." I said, trying to snap my mind off with that mean girl incident. I suddenly stopped when I notice they're silent. They are staring at me the same look they did the first we've met. It is a suspicious and questioning look. Wait, what did I just say? I remembered the words I uttered. I just realized that what I had said was wrong.

"What I mean is my ex, my ex loved this scent too," I replied. I need to make sure that everything is clear to them so that I won't have any problem.

"Okay, I thought you're saying that you are a girl hahaha." They both laughed. I fake my smile at them. Austin almost cried a while ago, and now he laughs at me like hell. He was so annoying, I whispered to myself.

After that, we came back to school and went straight to our dorm. We left our things in there including Austin's gift. We then prepared ourselves. We planned to go to the Town Plaza. I heard from someone that there will be Bazaars there tonight. I'll grab this opportunity to buy men's clothes from there. I only have a few pairs with me here. My suitcase was just filled up by my undergarments. I have to be more careful. I only have limited time to decide which ones I'm going to buy so I texted my sister to help me out. I was in the middle of something when Austin takes off his shirt.

"Austin!" I shouted. Did he mean to change his clothes in front of me?"What?!" He replied.

"Do that in the bathroom!"

"What?! We're both men, nothing's wrong with this? Just change your clothes. Hey Cody! hand me my pants." Cody throws Austin's pants, my eyes get widen when Austin started to take off his pants. I just ignored him, instead, I quickly took my clothes, and went out of the room. I think they were both surprised by what I did. I was shocked as well. I didn't want to see them naked. My goodness, my virgin eyes.

I walked down the stairs and went to the bathroom. Fortunately, no one's here. I rushed to the last cubicle. Unluckily, it does not have a door but it is the only one that has a shower in it. I made sure that there is no one here. After that, I immediately took my shirt and pants off. I took a short bath because someone might barge in here. I don't want to get caught. I grab my stuff, put my clothes on and after a couple of minutes, I am done. This son of a gun is just a piece of cake. I hope everything's got to be this easy for me. Even for just a semester.

We arrive at the Plaza, most of the people here are students. I heard my phone beeped. Finally, Ana replied. Fortunately, Cody and Austin are busy checking the stores around the Plaza.

I secretly read her reply, she is already here. I smiled as I type my reply to her message. She had been waiting here for a while. I told her that we'll be coming here when twilight comes. Our father will fetch her here later. He has no idea that Ana is going to meet me here. That is the reason why we have to hurry in getting stuff I need. The timer starts now.
