HAS he gone crazy? Does he think she would just accept him as his boyfriend after what he did? He was gone without even saying goodbye and now he’ll suddenly come back and assumes that they are still together?!

“Get out of my shop.”

“Sam, let me explain.”

“Twelve years, Brylle. You were gone that long and you’d only explain now? That’s long overdue. Get out.”

“Sam, I know I’ve been a bad boyfriend but please, give me a chance to redeem myself.”

“Is this a joke? Do you really think that’s so easy to do? You will suddenly appear after twelve years and then we’re fine? I’m not that stupid. Get out of my shop and never show me that face of yours again.”

He let out a deep breath. “I understand. I know what I’ve done is almost unforgivable but I’m not going to leave because I’m giving up. I’m never going to stop until you forgive me,” he looks at the table. “ That’s my order, isn’t it?”

It was the bouquet Chad reserved.

“Don’t get that!”

“Why, it has not been paid yet?” Brylle said getting the bouquet. “I gave Chad the money to pay for it though,” he placed his money on the table. “I’ll be right back for the change.”

Does he know Chad Byun? Does it mean he’s the one asking Chad to order those flowers over a year? Then why he only showed up now?

She expected Brylle to leave her shop but he walks towards her instead. She steps back but started to panic when she got nowhere else to go. She got cornered.

“I-I told you to get out.”

She wanted to hit him with the baskets or anything that she can use but her hands remain still. Even after he kissed her on the lips, she didn’t avoid it and kisses him back instead.

She recognize the perfume that he’s using. He still smells so good like the old days. And his kisses, it’s still as addicting as it was before. She can’t stop responding to it. She heard herself moan when he starts to become aggressive and demanded a way in her mouth. His kisses were longing and full of demand that she had to try extra hard to breathe.

What’s wrong with her? She’s supposed to be mad with this guy. She has to do something. She can’t just let this guy do what he wants.

She finally dared to push Brylle away. When he didn’t budge, she bit his tongue. She pushed her hard again and this time, she already succeeded but felt guilty. She tastes his blood on her mouth. Is he okay? Wait, why would she even worry about him? He deserves it!

“Leave.”

Instead of getting mad after what she did, he looks sad than being angry. “I love you, Samantha. It may be hard to believe but you’re the only woman that I love.”

She remained in her place even after he left. She’s supposed to be mad at him but at that moment, their kisses keeps on replaying in her mind.

She slaps her face to wake herself up. “Get yourself together, Samantha. Don’t give in just because he’s a good kisser and he tells you he loves you. He already did that a lot of times before but he still left. He doesn’t deserve a second chance.”

“DID you get slapped?”

Chad asked the moment he arrives at the headquarters.

“Nope. Maybe next time.”

“Then what did she do? If I were her, I would have slapped you and kick you in the groin.”

“Good thing she’s not you,” he took the sandwich on Chad’s plate. “I’m hungry. We’re supposed to eat dinner but we can do it some other time.”

“Hey, that is my food. Go make yourself dinner.”

“This is your payment for pocketing my money. How could you do that?”

“She really didn’t do anything?” Chad ignoring what he said. It seems like he really didn’t pay for the bouquet. Lucky him, he’s in a good mood.

The way Samantha kissed him back gave him hope that they could still get back together. But he needs to do more effort to win her heart again. Though he can tell she still loves him too, he’s sure it wouldn’t be easy but there’s no way he’d give up.

“YOU’RE so stupid, Samantha. You shouldn’t have responded. You should have bit him from the start. He’s going to think that you enjoyed it. So stupid!”

She’s in the bathroom facing herself in the mirror, and yeah, she have gone crazy talking to herself.

“Is this really happening?”

She pinched her cheek and it did hurt. Honestly, she still can’t believe she saw Brylle again after long years. And for him to say that he still loves her is like a joke to her. He left without even saying goodbye just to come back after twelve years to say he still loves her? That’s totally crazy.

She was only thirteen when Brylle became her boyfriend and nineteen when he suddenly gone missing. She was still young back then but her love for him was real. At that young age, she already imagined Brylle as her husband and the father of her children. She imagined a happy life with him but he left her.

“He did not even say sorry for what he did.”

She was traumatized by that break up that she got afraid to get herself into a relationship until now that she’s thirty one. At that time, she didn’t just lost a boyfriend but also her best friend.

But even with her vexation towards Brylle, she has to admit, he’s become more handsome and robust than before. Maybe because he has matured. His shoulder became broader as well. She think he got taller too. Maybe he’s now 5’11’ or maybe 6 flat.

Remembering his words that she’s the only one he have ever love made her frown. Though she didn’t had another boyfriend, she dated a couple of men and she’s sure that goes for him too. And maybe more than that. He’s a man after all.

“Such a liar.”
