THE PROPOSAL

“Can’t you take leave for today?” Liam expectantly asks Jean who is now licking off the maple syrup from her fingers making his groin grow hard under. He shifts uncomfortably in his seat but the temptress notices nothing.

“Only if you promise me, we are going to do some activities and not the one we do in bedroom.” She says raising her eyebrow to him in a mocking way but it didn’t intimidate him any bit.

“You are saying as if you don’t like any bit of it.” He smirks at her to which she only narrows are eyes.

“That information I’ll like to keep it to myself but tell me what’s on your mind?

“I’m in a mood for swimming in the ocean.” His smirk turns into mischievous smile and continues, “Ocean, fishes, you and bikini; it would be great sight for me don’t you think?

“Why is it always like this Liam?” She asks frowning at him.

“What is always like what? I can’t understand.

“Why do we have to go on with your plans? Why don’t let me plan something first? It’s like you have this arranged from before and now you are pretending to think about it?” She complains looking right ahead at him in his eyes but all she saw is a deadpan look. “Will you say something?

“You will be the death of me Jean Daniels.” He states before dialing the contact of the captain. “Don’t fuel up the cruise, we won’t be travelling.” He cuts the call and turns back to look at her face.

“I knew it! You are such a brute, Liam.” She throws the tissue in her hand at him as he chuckles slightly at her reaction. Jean has seen him smiling but never saw him chuckling before. Guess, things are changing and so is him.

“Do you have anything else in your mind? Or I’m taking you to my favorite place.

“Which is?” She asks wondering what place could he talking about.

He says with a smirk on his lips, “Dark Room.

Jean’s face almost turns into crimson red hearing his words. Her memories with him in past floods in front of her. He wasn’t just a beast described in words; his tastes were pretty rough too which drew her more into him.

“I’m leaving!” She shakes her head smiling ear to ear and eventually leaves the coffee shop along with her beast.

The day passed by and both of them took the privilege to enjoy the autumn weather of New York. Learned from the museum about historic value, went to enjoy the central park, the awesome sea shore where heaps of water come chasing them and so much more fun. Jean could tell he is trying to give her more of the authority and that is something she never thought a man like him could able to do that.

Stepping into the elevator she leans against the wall and lets out a sigh. “I’m so tired.

“Already?” He wraps his arms around her waist and leans down to kiss her lips.

Pulling away slightly she asks, “Why? Is there something you have in mind?

“You will see.

“And here I thought I had the control for the day.” She pats his chest playfully.

“You can have control over me for the rest of our life but tonight, believe me, you’ll love it.” He says trying to steal yet another kiss from her but fails miserably when the elevator door opens.

Revealing the dimly lit penthouse with a trail of candles and rose petals down on the floor made Jean confused. “Liam?

“Follow the path baby.” He just simply states to which she pouts. She likes surprises but the surprises what Liam gives are way different from ordinary man’s taste.

She follows the trail walking on the rose petal path with candles to indicate the way. She smiles at how romantic this view is, her eyes fall on the small round table in the middle of the hall. Of course, decorated with rose petals and small candles but…. The small box… the velvet small box to be exact caught her eyes. With a shaky breath intake, she turns around towards him. “Liam.

He could hear the caution in her tone but he gave her the glare which strictly said ‘don’t you dare turn on your back’. She huffs and turns back to the table but didn’t move a limb or any attempt on taking the box, just keeps on staring at it. Seeing her not making any move to take the box, Liam took matters on his hands. He steps towards the table and took the velvet box. She could see how his eyes glint with hope which she had for him months ago.

“Jean Daniels, I know whatever is going in your mind? Nothing goes for my favor. I know you might think we are still on our first phase of relationship but you have to believe me, I want things to be changed between us. Nothing like the relationship we had before except the love we had once for each other. You are the only one who knows my demons and you are the one who broke the walls of my cruel heart. You make me feel things I never felt before. And believe me it’s so peaceful. It gives me the peace I wanted, I craved for. It’s you Jean… it always has been you. I love you and I want to love you forever and ever.” With a deep breath he opens the box revealing a midnight blue rock ring which took her breath just by seeing its beauty. “Jean, be mine; for the rest of our lives.

Without giving anymore thought she closes the gap between them and connects her lips with his. He responds to her attack then and there only for her to let out a deep throaty groan. As much as he wanted to continue their make-out session; he wants her answer now. “Is that a yes?

She chuckles softly at him. “What do you think?

“Don’t mess with me woman.” He lets out tired sigh resting his forehead on her.

She smiles at him before saying, “I’m already yours Liam, there’s nothing and no one in this world; that will break us apart. I love you and I’ll always love you until my last breath.

“Will you marry me, Jean Daniels?

“Yes, I will Liam Walker.
