( Three weeks after Jazmine's disappearance)

Alex and I boarded the bus and we are currently in our way to Lorenzo City to see what the situation is. As soon as we boarded the bus, Alex introduced himself earlier and told me facts about him.

Alex Delos Reyes is his name, a farmer living in the mountains and he works for Hacienda Magus Luisita as a farmer and he lives alone since he is an orphan.

He also told me that I'm not the first person he found nearly dying on the foot of the mountain. In his 20 years of living in the mountains, he already helped and healed some strangers and these are mountain climbers or tourists who unfortunately got injured from falling rocks, wild animals or falling from a cliff.

"Are you a famous person?" Alex asked me, I looked at him "Huh?" I asked.

"Why is everyone staring at us and they are all whispering while loking at their phones, I think they are talking about us" Alex said and I can see his confusion.

I looked around the bus and just like what Alex told me, they are all whispering and staring at us.

"Or is it my pretty face that they are mesmerized and staring at us?" He asked, I chuckled because of that.

"Alex do you have a phone?" I asked.

"I don't, I told you I'm from the mountains and I have zero intentions of having one" He said.

I sighed, I need to know what really is happening, while I'm overthinking and imagining of the things that may have happened while I'm gone, I hear the people in the bus trying to figure if I really am the Jazmine Hale that they know.

Obviously they are hesitant to ask me because what I look right now is very different from the Jazmine Hale that they always see behind the screen and on the stage.

"Oh my gosh, she really looked exactly like the actress Jazmine Hale" Someone whispered.

"I know right, but I thought she's dead already" Another voice said.

"Dead? Girl she's just missing not dead" Says another voice.

"Well, I doubt if she's really alive, they are only saying that she's missing to hide the real culprit, besides her manager was found in her car dead and her blood sample was also found in her car as well" Another voice said.

I took a deep sigh, unfortunately Jude really is dead but until now I still don't know the main reason why he did what he did and did why he brought me to that place.

"Jaz, I really think they're talking about you, they even know your name" Alex whispered to me.

I sighed and was about to answer him when the conductor of the bus turned on the television in the bus.

'It has already been three weeks since the actress Jazmine Hale's disappearance and the authorities have not yet issued any updates about her whereabouts or about the suspect' The reporter from the news said, its a good thing that Alex and I chose the seat in front which is near the television that's why I can hear the news clearly.

"Many are already convinced that Jazmine Hale may really be dead since she hasn't shown herself for three weeks straight. Unfortunately, the police's investigation was slowed and this has something to do with the assault done to Ethan Hale, Jazmine Hale's brother who is the officer incharge of Jazmine's Hale's case" The reporter added.

I stood up because of shock, what is she talking about? Ethan was assaulted?

"Hale was assaulted a week ago and the police assume that it was done by the killer who may have killed Jude Sylvestre and the one who kidnapped Jazmine Hale. While Jazmine's family members were admitted at Saint Lorenzo Hospital, Jazmine's fans are praying hard for her safe return. Zoey Del Valle, Daily news" The reporter said.

"No" I gasped "No way, that psychopath did not just kill someone but also assaulted my family?!" I murmured.

"Jazmine are you okay?" Alex asked "Was that really you in the news?" He added.

Instead of answering Alex, I pressed the button to stop the bus "Sir stop the bus please" I said.

The driver stopped the bus and as soon as the bus door opened, I jumped out of the bus to get to Lorenzo Hospital while Alex follows me.

Cindy Morgan's Point Of View

( The show - A popular aftrenoon celebrity talk show )

"Filming in 3, 2,1" The director said, I smiled as the show host looks at me.

"Good Afternoon ladies and gentlemen, this is The Show where we confirm rumors about our celebrities whether its true or pure rumor" The show host said.

"Today we have Miss Cindy Morgan here with us to answer controversies about her" She said and looked at me "Thank you miss Cindy for giving us time for an interview" She said.

"Of course, I also came here to actually clear a misunderstanding about my marriage with my husband right now. And oh by the way, its not Cindy Morgan anymore but Cindy Seville" I said as I correct the show host.

She gasped and apologized.

"Oh right sorry, so you and Ivan actually registered your wedding a week ago and that stirred a lot of controveries and fanwars between Jazmine's fans and yours, what can you say about that?" She asked.

I sighed and looked at the designated camera for me.

"First of all, I did not betray Jazmine and I will never do that because Jazmine is my friend--- no she's my bestfriend and I like her as a friend" I said and smiled.

"Both Jazmine and I are loyal with each other and because we are both loyal, Jazmine chose to give up her fiancee for me" I said.

After saying that, I saw the show host's change of expression, she's confused. I can even see how anxious my manager is and other staffs from my agency, of course they will be since I never told the company what I will say today.

"Miss Cindy" My manager said trying to warn me not to say anything that may ruin me or the comapany. I smiled, my company will never understand me anyway.

Well, its normal, lowly people like her and them can never understand how elites like me think.

"Wait what? What do you mean Miss Jazmine gave up her fiancee for you? Can you elaborate it for us more miss Cindy?" She asked.

"Sure, you see Ivan and I are already childhood friends and we used to date before we even became celebrities. When Jazmine learned about that fact, we first fought with each other because of that but when she learned that I have a stage three leukemia, she willingly broke up with my husband before she even disappeared" I said.

"I'm sorry, y-you have a stage 3 leukemia miss Cindy?" She asked.

"I do and I'm currently undergoing treatment right now" I said and smiled. After saying that, she looked at me and I can see in her eyes that there is something she wants to ask. Something that may not be in the script provided.

"Mis Cindy many are saying, even in social media platforms that Ivan and you may have hidden Jazmine just so you two can get married. Remember miss Cindy that this is just a baseless rumor but how will you address it?" She asked.

I smirked and looked at her, this hypocrytic snake showing that she's sorry that she asked me that but deep inside she just wants to ruin me.

I took a deep sigh and looked at her "This is not in the script though but yeah I'll answer you dear" I said.

"Just as you said, that is just a baseless rumor, a mere rumor filled with weightless words. How can people possibly believe that I locked my own bestfriend for my own benefit? I am a human and even in my thoughts and dreams, I can never think of such an evil thing" I said and took a deep sigh.

"I am also having a hard time here, my husband and I are having a hard time because of her disappearance and while people are assuming that she's dead, Ivan and I are praying for her safe return" I said.

"But miss Cindy the fact that because of miss Jazmine's disappearance, it benefitted you and Ivan the most and isn't it questionable that just two weeks after miss Cindy's disappearance, the two of you immediately got married? I'm sure the public wants to know this?" She asked.

This girl is getting into my nerves, she's really looking forward to humiliate me just because I humiliated her once when she's still a rookie.

"What an amateur way of questioning, the host of the show is really stepping on the line. I'm so disappointed" I said and then I stood up.

She smiled hypocritically and innocently "I'm sorry Miss Cindy, t-the public just wants to know what is your take about these" She explained.

I rolled my eyes and then I looked at my manager "I want to end this interview, let's go" I said and left.

"Miss Cindy this is live" She said. Spill another word from your mouth and I'll make sure I'll cut your tongue, bitch.

I glared at her and then I turned my back to leave, I hate that girl, should I hire someone to shut her up?

"Miss Cindy, Miss Cindy" My manager said as she follows me to my van together with my stylists.

Jazmine's Point Of View

( Saint Lorenzo Hospital )

I rushed to the nurse's desk to ask where my brother's room is located.

"Where is Ethan Hale's room?" I asked.

"Are you the patient's guardian ma'am--- wait Mi-miss Jazmine?" She asked.

"I need to see my brother, where is his room?" I asked.

"Jaz why are you so fast" Alex said as he catch his breath.

"Come on tell me---" I was about to speak again when I suddenly heard Cindy's name being called in the television displayed in the hospital lobby.

"Today we have Miss Cindy Morgan here with us. Thank you miss Cindy for giving us time for an interview" The show host said and then the camera shifted to Cindy's direction.

"Cindy?" I murmured.

"Jaz do you know that woman in the television?" Alex asked but I did not answer him.

"Sure, you see Ivan and I are already childhood friends which means that I met Ivan first before Jazmine did and we used to date before we even became celebrities. When Jazmine learned about that fact, we first fought with each other because of that but when she learned that I have a stage three leukemia, she willingly broke up with my husband before she even disappeared" Cindy said, I laughed silently.

I remember that time, I think it was three months ago when Cindy told me that she have a stage three leukemia and that only I and her knows about it because according to her, we are bestfriends and that she trusts me that's why she told me about her condition.

I was too worried for her that I did everything for her happiness.

She told me that she likes a guy so much but unfortunately the guy she likes is taken already and that she's also friends with that guy's girlfriend, I never even thought that it was me she was referring to.

That time she asked me if she would support me when she gets married to a taken man, because she's my bestfriend and that I want the best for her and since she's sick, I agreed but never have I imagined that it was my man who she wants to steal.

"Y-you have a stage 3 leukemia miss Cindy?" The show host asked.

"I do and I'm currently undergoing treatment right now" Cindy said and smiled.

"Miss Cindy many are saying, even in social medias that Ivan and you may have hidden Jazmine just so you two can get married. Remmeber miss Cindy that this is just a baseless rumor but how will you address it?" The show host asked.

Because of that question, I suddenly thought of that possibility, what if Cindy and Ivan was really the one who planned of my abduction in the first place? What if that stalker was hired by Cindy and Ivan to kill me so that they can have each other by themselves?

"This is not in the script though but yeah I'll answer you dear" Cindy said and sighed.

"Just like what you said, that is a baseless a rumor, a mere rumor filled with weightless words. How can people possibly believe that I locked my own bestfriend for my own benefit? I am a human and even in my thoughts and dreams, I can never think of such an evil thing" Cindy explained as she stare at the camera shamelessly acting like she's not at fault when she is.

I smiled bitterly.

"I am also having a hard time, my husband and I are having a hard time because of her disappearance and while people are assuming that she's dead, Ivan and I are praying for her safe return" She added.

You always say that you like me and that our loyalty is sturdy but I was just away for three weeks Cindy and this is the scenario I'm getting?

"But miss Cindy the fact that because of miss Jazmine's disappearance benefitted you and Ivan the most, isn't questionable that just two weeks after miss Cindy's disappearance, the two of you immediately got married? I'm sure the public wants to know this?" The show host asked.

Instead of answering, Cindy stood up "I want to end this interview, let's go" Cindy said and left the live show.

I took a deep breath and then I held unto Alex trying not to collapse in the middle of the hospital looking all weak infront of the people.

"Jaz?" Says someone from behind me, since I can't recognize whose voice that is, I turned around and saw Luxxe behind me.

"Jaz!" She screamed and rushed to hug me.

- ( VIP ward room 12)

I caressed my mother's hair and then I looked at Ethan's direction, I sighed because of disbelief that this is happening to me rigt now.

I was just gone for three weeks, it was just three weeks but my world has already collapsed. My mother was admitted because of stress and highblood and my brother was admitted because of assault while the perpetrator is not yet identified because of unknown reasons and to add a cherry on top, my fiancee is now married to my best friend?

I was just gone for three weeks but everyting changed in a blink of an eye, how is this even possible?

"What happened?" I asked Luxxe who is sitting beside Ethan's bed, Luxxe sighed as she caress Ethan's hair "I don't know either, at first we were shocked and concerned for you because you disappeared without any trace, for the first week of your disappearance, your mother gave out flyers for you and asked people to call the police if ever they see you" Luxxe said as she stare at Ethan.

"On the first week of your disappearance, everyone was hoping for your safety and everyone are working together to find you. Even your fans are working hard to find you, your brother worked day and night just so he can get a lead. Even your fiancee Ivan was not sleeping and was always on standby waiting for the police's call hoping for an update about you. Everyone is devastated because their favorite person has disappeared" Luxxe added.

"The why did this happened? How did things fall apart so easily?" I asked.

"Yeah everyone was concerned about you but on the second week of your disappearance, those people are slowly starting to show their real colors. Since you haven't showed yourself for two weeks now, everyone and everything changed as people shows their true colors and real intentions" Luxxe said.

"Unfortunately. Tita Cecille and Ethan was hospitalized for working so hard to find you while Ivan and Cindy married each other grabbing the opportunity of you missing. The police who are very active in finding you on the first week started to slow down because of Ethan's absence and because of the people's fake tips bringing confusion to the Police" Luxxe explained.

I bit my lower lip as I clench my fist, just because I disappeared, everything went out of place?

Or was I the only one thinking that my life is almost perfect because of the people around me? What if everything was actually very messy even before and I just chose to cover the mess with a wall of lies and sins.

I gulped and clenched my fists for the second time, how pathetic have I become.

"I think Cindy and Ivan were really dating behind your back and Danica knows that" Luxxe said.

"What?" I asked.

"Danica and Derek Delvalle were the ones who stood up as the witnesses for their civil wedding" Luxxe added. I chuckled sarcastically "Even Danica were lying to me all this time? Wow" I gasped and laughed sarcastically.

As I laugh bitterly, I thought that Luxxe may have also known about Cindy and Ivan's affair. I looked at Luxxe suspisciously and before I could even speak, she spoke.

"Don't you dare ask me if I know about this and don't you dare tell me that I also betrayed you because I myself do not know what's happening under my nose. I didn't know that your fiancee and your bestfriend are secretly dating so don't you dare look at me that way" Luxxe said in a very serious tone.

I took a deep sigh "I didn't say anything though" I said and paused.

"I heard you were the one who have been taking good care of mom and Ethan? Thanks" I said.

Luxxe rolled her eyes "At least you know that you need to thank me" She said and smiled. 

"Setting up a date with Ethan when he gets out of the hospital will do Jaz" She said "But by the way, who are you with earlier? He may still be waiting outside?" Luxxe asked.

"Oh right, I forgot about Alex" I said and stood up to invite Alex inside but when I came out, there's no Alex outside but an empty chair. I sighed, did he leave already? I wasn't able to say thank you to him though.

Maybe I'll just visit him in the mountain someday.

I walked back inside the ward feeling disappointed because I was not able to thank Alex "But Jaz, where did you meet that guy? He seemed so familiar to me" Luxxe said.

"Oh Alex? He's actually the one who helped me and treated me for three weeks in the mountains, Alex is a farmer and he works for the Magnus Luisitas" I said.

"That's it, I knew it" Luxxe said and got her phone and typed something in there.

"Knew what?" I asked.

"Jaz--- are you really sure that that guy is a farmer and that he treated you for three weeks?" Luxxe asked.

"Yeah? Why is there something wrong?" I asked.

Luxxe bit her lower lip and then she showed me her phone, I don't know if they are just look alikes but the similarites are very uncanny" Luxxe said.

I walked towards her and looked at the photo of a young bachelor in suits and that young man looks exactly like Alex, if I were to dress up Alex like a proper conglomerate, he would look like him.

"W-who is he?" I asked.

"He is Alex Magnus, heir of Magnus group and haciendero of Hacienda Magnus Luisita. Girl that guy or that man is considered the youngest billionaire in the country" Luxxe added.

I unconsciously dropped Luxxe's phone because of shock, no---- its impossible that Alex may be this guy. No.
