Maybe I hurt her but that was not my intention. The next day I looked for her in the canteen and even find her in the Pharmacy building but her classmates have told me that she filed for two weeks emergency leave. I couldn't help but worry so I asked her friends again and I've found out that Merry went to the States.

I am used to her presence, cornyness and whatnot! Also that day, one of her friends handed me a letter.

I just want to thank you for teaching me with so many lessons especially in believing that true love do really exists. Maybe someday. my knight and shining armor would just appear from nowhere, so that I don't need to look for him anymore. But I want you to know that you were one of the greatest men I've ever met. You are always special for me but I guessed this is goodbye.

My brain has no heart. My heart has no brain. That's why when I speak my mind I seem heartless and when I do what's in my heart, I seem thoughtless.

I want to see her again. One week seems like forever. I missed her smiling face. All I can see in the crowd was her. My heart is hurting. Have I fallen in love with her? Damn! I fell in love with her without realizing it.

And I swear, I will get her back when she returns. I will show and make her feel how she changed my life — she came and taught me how to trust and love again.

I am ready to take the risk and love because I know I will be happy since I have the woman who reopened my heart — the woman I love. This time, I will do the things she used to do! I will be her lover and I will ask her heart to come back to me. I hope it's not too late, I hope I'm still in her heart.

MORE THAN a week after. I went to school early to prepare the big tarpoulin I had made for Merry. According to her friends, today is her school comeback. I asked our school band to help me with the preparation I would make to the girl I love. I don't sing when there are many people around but I will do it all for the woman I love.

I was satisfied with my preparations and my heartbeat quickened when I saw Merry walking towards the entrance gate, I took a deep breath. My little show is about to start, I hope I can touch her heart and feel that I love her. People shouted to cheer me up and I saw Merry stop walking and her eyes were fixed on me.

She looked shocked to see her big tarpouline with the words 'Merry Salamangca, will you be mine?' who was behind me as I sing the Crazy for you song by Spongecola, a Filipino band. She covered her mouth with shock. One of the students handed her a single red rose stalk which was another of my plans. It was a hundred roses, so many students lined up to give jer the roses.

Almost all the students on campus were there in front of the school building to watch my little show. I saw Merry wipe her eyes and smile.

When I finished singing I quickly went down to the mini-stage to approach her, I saw her whole body was trembling and her eyes were very happy as she stared at me.

"I love you, Merry." I said using the mic I was holding. I heard people screaming around. And when I got close to her, she was about to say something but I immediately rushed to hug her. "I'm sorry if I was too late to say what I really feel about you but Merry ... I love you, I love you so much and I can't afford to lose you in my life." I said. She could not reciprocate the hug because of the flowers she was holding, so I just tightened my grip on her— I don't care if the flowers break, I'll just replace them. "I was scared to love again because of my first experience but you changed everything. I love you to the moon and back." I said again then I let go of my hug and quickly knelt one of my knees in front of him. "Will you be mine?" I asked with a smile.

She smiled at me then nodded quickly. So, I immediately stood up to hug her again. I smiled because he seems to be dumbfounded by what I did. It will be even more thrilling in the next days because I will surprise her every day!

"I-I love you too, Zach." Finally she said too. "I thought this day would never really come, It feels like a dream."

I quickly kissed her on the forehead to make her feel that everything was true. We heard the people cheers, screams and applaud for us.

"Even though I've been in the States for two weeks, I still haven't been able to move on with you. I've done everything but still epic fail, because I was hit hard by you. I wqs about to move on but you surprised me. " she said cheerfully.

"You've been in my heart for a long time, I was just scared to tell you that." I confessed. Then I let go of the hug and pulled her to a bench, I thanked the people who became my accomplices for this mini-event, so they gradually left so that I could be alone with Merry.

We talked about the things she used to do and how I reacted to it. Merry was surprised by my revelations. I also handed the Korean drama stuffs that i bought for her.

I smile. It feels different when in love, it's indeed very magical and true. And I believe that Merry is really a magician because she used her magic to make me believe in love again. And now, I believe that we're really meant for each other.
