Sounds Like A Date To Me

Philip's POV

I was in his office, watching him write dialogues for me on a piece of paper. He rolled up the sleeves of his shirt, flaunting his veins. The shirt was tight on his chest, not tight enough for me to see his nipples but definitely tight enough for me to see that he worked out. And that left a lot of room for me to imagine.

"Philip, what are you thinking about?

The way my name rolled of his smooth tongue, well I had no clue if his tongue was smooth but I liked to think it was smooth. He called my name with the same affection I called out my cat's name but he was a bit more sexy.

"N...nothing," I stuttered.

Of course I had to stutter, I was the main shy character in love here.

"Were you thinking about me?" he asked resting his annoyingly gorgeous face on his palm, a sly smile playing on his lips.

"No," I replied a little too quick.

Of course I was not thinking about him, I was merely imagining his chest muscles. The two were completely different.

"Why do I have a feeling that you are lying to me?"

His fingers slowly moved on my cheek.

I gulped.

"Philip what the hell are you doing?

Huh? Why did he suddenly sound so rude?

"To earth you dumbass,"

Was that Nick's voice?

Was I daydreaming about a hot professor, who was not even my professor, I just met once?

I quickly shook my head only to find myself in the library with Nick. Right, we were working on an assignment. And I was thinking about Louise. I saw this man once, I repeat just once. And I couldn't bring myself to stop thinking about him.

We met three days ago and he told me that he'd contact me. He probably just talked to me because of Ms Patricia and not to forget I also acted like a dumb gawking at him that day. I should have just stopped thinking about the theatre. Now I had two things that I shouldn't think about but couldn't stop myself from overthinking.

What a smart move Philip!

"Is he always like this?
" Aiden whispered to Nick.

So much for whispering, I could totally hear him.

"No. He just got dumped," Nick replied.

"Excuse me?" I screamed at his face.

"Sir, you are in the library. Please maintain silence," the librarian yelled.

"Don't you think she was louder than Philip?" Aiden asked.

"Absolutely. Also Aiden I like you, can I be your friend instead of this nerdy Nick?

Nick just raised his eyebrows at me.

"Of course, let's just ditch Nick and we can be best friends," Aiden suggested.

"Go ahead, it would be fun to see you guys struggling with your grades together," Nick shrugged.

Aiden pouted at him.

Aiden was very cute, why was he called the bad boy? Nick should be called the bad boy, he was evil to his bones.

"Enough with the drama you too, get back to calculus." Nick ordered.

I straightened my notebook and glanced at the notes. What the point of alphabets in Math again? I couldn't even imagine myself using this gibberish in real life.

"Philip is that you?" a deep voice asked.

I moved my head to see Louis staring down at me through his gold rimmed glasses.

"Oh Louis! I mean good morning Mr Louis," I replied quickly.

He took a seat on our table and folded his hands.

"Are you really interested in the theatre club?

"What?" Nick asked.

Like me, he too was baffled.

"Yes sir, I want to act," I replied sincerely.

"Why didn't you contact me then?

"Huh? Sir, you told me you'd contact me in a day or two. I waited for you but you didn't contact me so I thought I was not selected for the theatre," I was so confused.

He pulled out a paper from his wallet which was supposedly my schedule.

"Explain this to me," he ordered.

"This is my schedule?" I said making my confusion evident.

"I told you to write your contact number on this, why does it only have nine digits?

I snatched the paper from his hands to have a closer look.

"Oh my God! I'm so sorry sir, I forgot to write the last digit,"

"Tell me you are stupid without telling me you are stupid," Aiden joined in.

I could feel the heat on my face, I was probably red as tomato from embarrassment.

"It's alright, you were very flustered back then probably why you messed up the number. I sent a student to your department but they couldn't find you so I thought you didn't want to act and Patricia forced you to meet me,"

"No sir, it's not like that I'm sorry for the confusion,"

"You should have come to meet me since you didn't receive my text," he crossed his arms.

He had some nice biceps.

"I thought I was not selected for the theatre," I scratched the back of my neck.

"This situation is a very good example of miscommunication," Louise chuckled.

"And Philip's stupidity," Aiden beamed.

I just thought he was cute, I was rethinking the statement.

Louise smiled at Aiden's comment.

His smile was soft and genuine.

"Okay, I'll take my leave now. Philip come meet me once you're done with whatever you're doing. I'll be in my office," Louis got up from his chair and left the library.

"He is hot," Aiden stated looking at Louis' disappearing figure.

"Are you allowed to say that about a teacher?" Nick questioned.

"I'm not going after him. And I can find anyone hot even Philip,"

"What do you mean? I am hot," I said flexing my muscles.

"I don't think so but are you like a really good actor?" Nick questioned.

"Not really, why?

"If you are just an average actor and there are already enough members in the theatre club, why did the psychology professor walk all the way to the mathematics department just to have you in the club?

Nick like always had a good point and like always I didn't have the answer.

"Maybe he came here for something else and just saw Philip coincidently,"

May God bless Aiden and his intelligent brain.

"Probably,"

"How do you know that Louis teaches in the psychology department?"

"I read his ID card," Nick replied as if it was very obvious.

"So you call him Louis? You guys seem close," Aiden raised his eyebrows suggestively.

"He just looks young. I'm going to ditch you guys and talk to Louis about the theatre. See you guys later," I got up from my chair hurriedly packing my bag.

"Sounds like a date to me," Aiden gushed.

All I could do was show him my middle finger.
