this was her fourth house tonight, all the others had turn her away when they found out she couldn't pay. tears flow from her eyes in her desperation, pulling herself together she knock on the fourth and final door, Bethany waited until lights flood the inside of the house, the door open and reveal an old women.

"How may help you at this hour women. "

Bethany claps her hands to together and look at the old women with pleading eye's.

"Please mam, I was pointed in this direction... my boy...my boy is not well if you would be so kind as to come and take a look at him, I will forever be grateful and in your debt."

The old woman gave Bethany a once over, no one as come to her door in months asking for her healing skills, not anymore. no, they went to the more younger, and we'll heard of healers. The old women came to the conclusion that if this lady was here she must not have many choices and judging from her attire she must not have any money.

"Tell me women, what is wrong with the boy?

"Oh thank heavens." Bethany saw the moment the old women was willing to help her, she saw the change in her eye's.

"It is really cold tonight, and my patience is very thin.. so speak up, or I shall retreat back into the warmth and comfort of my home..."

"No! Yes.. my, my boy... casden he is in pain, so much pain.. his skin is a furnace, we tried cooling him down but his body is so hot. I don't know what to do.." Bethany hope the women could help she had tried going to the tavern to see if her husband was there, but no one could point her in his direction. His drinking was getting out of hand. what little they had save, would be gone soon, if he don't stop visiting the traven's.

"Wait here.." the old women replies closing the door behind her as she retreated back inside her house. putting some supplies in her bag, she threw a coat on before going out  the door.

It didn't take them long to reach Bethany home. When they arrive at the top the stairs, she could hear her children talking.

Casden lay in bed the pain in his head becoming a dull ache, something else took its place, a pain in his chess. the drowsiness in his body was calling out to him. It was like a beacon in the night the signal was strong pulling at his consciousness, and though he tried to listen to his sisters voices to keep him there... it was a hard struggle.

He was fighting with everything thing in him to not zone in on that signal that was getting closer and brighter by the minute. casden knew deep down that tonight was the night he would not wake-up the next time his eye's close. Casden felt a light touch to his forehead and he open is eye's barely looking at the new person in the room.

Here drink this young one, it will dull the pain for your journey.
"

Journey, he thought... casden didn't understand the meaning of what was said to him by the lady, but the relief the liquid brought to his body, he didn't care to. he was just thankful, his breathing level out and casden sigh in relief.

"What happens now? Bethany ask the healer.

The old healer sigh because she didn't know how to explain to this family what was happening to casden. her family had come from a long line of believers in the outer realm, she had so many book of secrets on how to try and force an entry to get glimpse into the unknown.

But she has seen something like this before, in reverse for where her family tried to access with failure, upon failure, this boy had gain without trying. how many had she seen died over the years after being held by the darkness, in the in between.

But this boy was doing what no one could, it seems like the realm has gave him free passage. he would leave them tonight, never to return. for once you journey to the other side there was no return, she couldn't help him now. no one could, it's just a matter of time before he was gone.

"What is happening? Bethany ask again more demanding this time. she watch the healer face in anticipation something was very wrong, casden was silent, his breathing- barely even there, his skin was getting a glow of some sort.

"It is time to say your goodbyes.." I have done all I can for him. now he will only feel the discomfort of his journey, but you must speak now while he can still hear you, before the light over takes him." Bethany look at the healer in horror what is this women saying... where... Bethany couldn't think, she was starting to believe all the stories that this old women was senile.. for what she has spoken of is impossible.

"No, no, no, no.. You said you could help him, what journey... what nonsense are you saying. right now. fix him... !heal him... You said you would. Bethany shout with tears, she watch the glow of her baby's skin brightens.

Pushing the women aside Bethany kneel down holding her son hand in hers. she prey to the heavens for help. "Baby boy, open your eye's, please... come on cas you can do it. your such a good boy, the gods won't take you from me... they can't be so wicked as to take you. Bethany rumble on she didn't care anymore, sh couldn't hide her tears from the others.  She stayed by her son pleading, begging, for something to stop this.

"I won't allow it! you hear cas... I won't allow them to have you... just open them baby, for me cas, I can't go on if you leave... you can do it." Bethany felt the change in casden temperature, it was like she was holding ice. dropping his hand in dread Bethany stood up, she watch the stun expressions her children faces before she look back at casden. his body... the glow took over, he was barely even there anymore. And then something else happened that made them all froze in fright.

water was purring out of the light like a river. they had to step back to avoid it. the light glowed bright, blinding them. Bethany close her eye's for a brief moment, but when she open them. casden was gone, leaving a soaking room and bed in his wake. no one couldn't speak, because no one knew what to say, they just look on in shock, speechless as to what just happened.

The brightness blinded his eyes as he look around his surroundings he wander if this was all real.
But the sea of water against his skin could not be denied. He brought his hand away from his face to touch his aching body where he realise that he was completely naked. Casden turn around to face a large entrance.  he was frozen in the bed of water not knowing what to do. he was back in the same world, the only difference was he was closer to the sky's on the outside of some city. fear, that was all casden was feeling fear.
