Chapter 3 His Fiancee

Hospital.

"Your condition is very bad." The doctor looked down at the report in his hand with a serious expression. "You couldn't live long already due to your heart disease; and now as you have donated a kidney, which made your condition even more unstable."

Su Zhi lowered her head and remained silent.

She no longer held any hope for her health.

"I am fine. What matters now is my grandfather." She said hurriedly. "Doctor, my grandfather is counting on medication. Please don't stop his medication."

The doctor looked troubled. "But the medical expenses..."

"I will find a way! Please don't give up on my grandfather!"

"Alright, I understand." The doctor relented. "In that case, Miss Su, you should raise the medical expenses as soon as possible. After all, I don't have the final say in this hospital."

Su Zhi thanked him again and again before she left with her medical report.

She had just reached the end of the corridor when she heard a familiar voice.

"Waner, be careful not to fall."

Su Zhi stiffened, and she could hardly believe her ears. She looked up suddenly and saw a tall man holding a woman walking over.

"Yan Zheng?" Recognizing the man's handsome face, Su Zhi gasped in shock. When she saw the woman beside him, her eyes widened even more. "Why are you with Su Waner?"

Yan Zheng did not expect to meet Su Zhi here. He was stunned for a moment, but then he sneered.

His big hand wrapped around Su Waner's slender shoulders. He raised his eyes and smiled cruelly. "I'm accompanying my fiancée to see the doctor. Is there a problem?"

Fiancée?

Su Zhi's face turned pale in an instant, and her voice trembled. "Yan Zheng... How could you! She is my half-blooded sister!"

"So what?" Hearing Su Zhi's question, he laughed in anger. He took a step forward and pinched her chin with his cold eyes. "Su Zhi, when I had a car accident, it was Waner who gave me her kidney and saved my life. But what about you? What were you doing? That's right, you've already dumped me by then!"

Su Zhi looked completely pale, and her eyes widened in disbelief.

What?

Back then, when she knew that she had heart trouble, she didn't want Yan Zheng to be sad, so she broke up with him. However, she never expected him to encounter a car accident because of drunken driving and lost one of his kidneys.

At that time, she thought that she would not be able to live long anyway, so she did not hesitate to donate her left kidney to Yan Zheng to save his life.

But why he said it was Su Waner who donated the kidney?

She looked at Su Waner questioningly. Su Waner panicked, but only in an instant; then her eyes turned red again, exuding a pitiful look.

"Elder sister." Su Waner clutched at Su Zhi's clothes with trembling hands, her tearful eyes filled with fear and anxiety. "Please let Zheng and I be... I... I'm pregnant with his child..."

Su Zhi's body trembled, and she could no longer ask any questions.

She looked at her sister, who had never been close to her, and the man she had loved for more than ten years. She staggered back and closed her eyes to hide her pain.

Forget it.

What should she say?

Telling Yan Zheng that the kidney was donated by her, not by Su Waner?

Why bother.

When she found out that she had heart trouble, she had already made up her mind to stay far away from Yan Zheng. Why bother taking credit for it now?

Now that they have children...

"I wish you all the best." Su Zhi opened her eyes slowly. She was smiling, but only she knew that her heart was broken. "Yan Zheng, take good care of my sister."

Yan Zheng fixed his eyes on Su Zhi throughout. When he heard her saying "I wish you all the best", he clenched his fists unconsciously. He seemed to be holding a breath in his chest but couldn't let it out.

He gritted his teeth and glanced at the report in Su Zhi's hand. He then raised his hand and snatched it away as he had just found an outlet all of a sudden.

"Su Zhi, what are you hiding secretly?!"

Su Zhi was caught unprepared. When she realized what was happening, the report in her hand had already taken away by Yan Zheng.

Her face turned dreadfully pale.

No!

The report said not only that she had heart disease, but that she was missing a kidney.

If Yan Zheng sees it, she's doomed!
