Her eyes were bright and large. They were sky blue. She look delicate and her eyes held greatness in them.

She was nimble and small and the same time fierce. She was curvy, however. Her hips were wide and her ass was plump.

And as years passed, she only grew crazier.

Evie has been under her mother's abuse for many years. And now, her mother had even sold her off to this rich, married viscount without her knowledge. But the fact that her own mother even decided to make her own daughter a whore just for the sake of having that extra bit of money did not break Evie's heart anymore. She could not remember nor count how many times she had been broken before there was nothing left to break in her anymore.

She had long stopped screaming and calling out for help because she knew that no one would come for her no matter how loud she begged, or no matter how many times she cried for help. She learned how to survive by herself without relying on anyone's help.

Elena POV

The night was full, everything and everyone were there. The music played the background as everyone chatted amongst themselves in a delightful and happy matter. I watched how many couples found their mates within a few seconds and enveloped them in their arms, or in other cases, being dragged away in rush to mate. The smell of arousals hit me like a tonne of bricks, my wolf calling out to me as she was like the many others.

But my eyes swept through the party looking for him, then there he was, looking handsome and ravishing as ever. He was looking like a god sitting on the throne-like chair. His eyes were silvery gray, akin to the bright moon, and they were many stars swirling within them. And there was also coldness in them. No single sign of warmth tough he still look gorgeous. Then there was his eye lashes... they were so indecently long and thick for a man. His indecently long and thick for a man. His lips, his jaw, his nose... every single part of him were so breathtaking and will render every female speechless.

She wish she could have him to herself, she wish he could love her back, she wish he could accept her as his mate. But no, anytime she goes near him she could feel the coldness, but she won't give up until he accept her. She will keep loving him and try impressing him till he accept her as his mate.

When she came out, she was still having the urge to talk to him, so she walked straight to him. And called out.. Alex.

Alex was quite annoyed hearing his name, he knew it was her, Elena, who claimed to be his mate. To be honest Alex was not the the type of guy that care about mating or love. All he cared about was protecting his pack as the future Alpha of the south pack.

Elena called his name again but she was totally ignored. She felt hurt, she was tired of trying to get his attention desperately but she never planned to give up.

On the other side in the human world, Evie was planning to escape because she refuse to let her mother sell her for marriage, though she has been caught so many times by her mother guards and been punished severely, she refused to give up her life for her mother. So she planned of escaping again tonight.

Inside Alex's castle.

At the castle's spacious entrance, three men covered in black garments stood facing each other. Alex was one of them.

The other two were tall, handsome, and bronze-skinned as well. Though their faces were not like Alex's exotic and unnatural striking beauty, the other two men's feature still screamed with handsomeness. "I honestly think you should stop going to the other pack Alex. The one dressed impeccably and perfectly groomed spoke.

There was slight crease of his brows as he said that.

"Stop doing that Albert, you know he'll never listen. Said the man with thick short black hair and Albert just threw a sharp look at him.

"I know that Gideon. But I will still tell him my opinion regardless of him not listening to me or not. Albert responded and Gideon, the extraordinarily fit man with powerful physique and the tallest among the three only shrugged. He had done his part and it was up to them to listen or not.

I'm leaving, Alex finally spoke, completely ignoring what Albert had just said. "Do not leave the castle until I return. He added and Albert knew from that tone alone that and Albert knew from that tone alone that it was a serious command.

I know. But you should return as soon as possible. Albert warned but Alex remains unfazed.

Alex then turned and headed towards the door.

When he was out of the large door, Albert faced Gideon.

Try stop his plan. Albert said, his gaze now serious and the large man sighed again.

Just don't let him go to the human's land.

I know... " Gideon then followed dutifully after Alex even though he was against it, until the two of them got close to the human city.

At the outside city, the cold breeze still manage to hit Evie skin till she started feeling goosebumps on her skin. The breeze was so cold, even at the heavy cloak she wore, her body was freezing from the cold. She was still determined to run away without waiting or looking back.

The two werewolves have let out their wolves and were moving so silently and fluidly in the dark as if they were one with the night.

Appearing and disappearing every now and again, even if one were to catch a glimpse of them, they would only chalk it up to be a shadow or something they might mistakenly seen.

When Alex felt the have stewed out of pack, he halted.

Are you certain that this is the human's land? Alex's deep voice echo around them.

According to Albert, all we need is to head East and we will reach the human's land for sure. Gideon replied.

East..." Alex echoed, and then his gaze sharpened as he glanced at Gideon. Isn't it supposed to be West?

Gideon's eyes widened with an 'ah' look of realized Alex was narrowing his eyes on him, he sheepishly rubbed the back of his neck with one hand, laughing embarrassedly.

Ahh... right,right. Now I think I remember Albert did said it it West. The large striking man replied while feigning with an apologetic grin and Alex's eyes mmediately turned deadly as Gideon sensed a flash of lethal aura before disappearing the next second.

Alex did not say anything anymore and just turned around to leave.

Gideon quickly appeared before him. This is Human land. Don't you want to stop by and view the area? I heard from one of my close friend that have been here before that the human's world is quite entertaining, don't you want to check it out? Gideon said in a serious tone.

However, Alex seemed to already realize that what Gideon was doing. It was obvious to him that this friend of his was trying to stop him from going to the other pack. If it was just the incident with them headed for the exact opposite direction they were supposed to, then he could still excuse that as an accident. But now that Gideon was pushing him to try and visit Human's land, he was sure that it was all a last ditch effort in trying to distract him from going to the other pack.

You know I can only tolerate your interference... twice, Gideon.

Alex voice became more venomous now and though Gideon's expression did not show any changes outwardly, it was apparent that the man understood Alex more than anything. He sighed in surrender, knowing full well what Alex would do if there was a third time when he tries to stop him.
