CHAPTER 6

"I, Brandon, take you as you are, loving who you are now and who you are yet to become. I promise to take you with all your faults and all your strengths, as I offer myself to you with all my faults and strengths. I promise to choose you to be no other than yourself. Loving what I know of you, and trusting who you will become. To be your lover, companion, and friend. I promise to be your ever faithful, honest, and loving husband. I love you so much. I will love you always."

I open my eyes so suddenly when that statement sank into my mind. I thought it was real, but then it was just a dream. And hearing my husband's vows again in my dreams makes my heartbreak again in pieces.

I started to let out tears as I close my eyes again. It's still painful. It's still heartbreaking.

And I can't stop thinking about the reason why he did that to me? He loves me, but he still finds guts in cheating on me with my fucking best friend? Well then, that's not real love. I mean, he doesn't love me.

But no. I shouldn't cry, feel wasted, and heartbroken. I need to be strong. I need to lift up myself after that sucks event. I shouldn't let myself drown in tears and in pain.

I open my eyes, and I got up from my bed. I go to the bathroom, to wash my face. I wasn't the one who loses.

I shouldn't have to break myself down here. Remember,

I went out of my room, heading to the ground floor to eat my breakfast. After breakfast, I went outside of our hotel to take a walk to the seaside.

I need a break. I need fresh air.

In not too distant from my direction, I saw Jade, who is watching people who are swimming in the sea. He is wearing a white T-shirt and red shorts, with a whistle on his left hand.

I can't really deny the fact that he looks so very charming today. His muscular and perfect shape of his body, plus his beard are making him more looky attractively.

But, why I am describing and giving him a compliment?

Jeez.

Suddenly, I stop walking when a woman had approached him. That woman is wearing a rush guard and has a whistle also. I think that woman is also one of the bay watchers here at our resorts.

But did she need to wear too much-revealing swimming outfits?  Seriously? Her boobs are almost got out from her top suit.

And they seem like they are very close to each other, huh? Is that punk is really friendly to everyone?

Jeez.

Shaking my head, I decided to turn my back at them. I need to find a place where there is no asshole and slut.

"Miss. Cindy!" I stop walking when someone called me. That someone is Jade. I recognize his voice.

"Yes?" I questioned as turn my head to him, and a smile formed in the corner of my lips. But my eyes fell down on his lips as he is already standing in my front.

Just then, what we had done yesterday night, sank in my mind.

Argh. No. It was nothing. Right. Go back to your senses, Cindy.

"Good morning." He greeted with a sweet smile.

"Yeah. Good morning, too." I greeted back and turn the gaze on the sea.

"How's your sleep?" He asks.

Why did he ask that? Is he...

"Of course. I slept well." I say, trying to hide the awkwardness I felt. Argh. No! This guy likes me I can feel it.

Come on, Cindy. Break him!

"That's good to hear." He replies.

"Yeah. How about you? How was your sleep?" Ah, silly me. Why do I need to ask that?

"Hmm. How can I sleep well? Since you've been running in my mind the whole night."

I didn't hear clearly the last sentence he said so I look at him. "What did you say?"

"Nothing." He smiles. "Do you want to try surfing? The waves look good today so, it's perfect for surfing."

Surfing? Hmm. Sounds good.

But I don't know-how.

"Will you going to teach me?"

"Sure, I love to." He answers, still smiling.

"Jeez. Okay. Let's go." I smile back at him.

Then, Jade and I go to their basement to get a surfing board.

I also took off my dress, and now I'm wearing a white two-piece.

"What's that? Why are you wearing that? It's too revealing." Jade commented, raising his brow as he looks at me from head to toe.

"Why? Aren't we going to go surfing?" I teased. I know he is attracted to my sexy body.

"Yeah, but I want you to change your outfit." He says in a serious tone and then he grabs a rush guard on the drawer and handed it to me. "Wear this."

"A rush guard?"

"Yeah. It can cover your body. So wear that."

"Are you really kidding me?" I laugh, throw the rush guard to him. "We are on the beach. A lot of women are wearing two-piece and boobs are exposed. So, what's wrong if I am wearing this?"

"There is nothing wrong, however, I don't want anyone to see your body."

I left speechless on what he had said just now.

What is this? Why is he acting so weird?

"Change your clothes now." He handed the rush guard to me again. "I will wait for you outside." He added and got out of the basement.

"Aish. What's wrong with him? Seriously." I get the rush guard reluctantly. "Whatever," I say rolling my eyeballs.

I left no choice now, so I wore it even if I don't like it.

"How is it?" I ask him, showing my attire as I got out of the basement.

Then a wide smile form on his lips. "You look pretty now. Come on, let's start the lesson." He pats my head and walks away.

"Pretty good my ass," I mumble, following him.

I really feel uncomfortable with my suits, seeing the people scattered on the beach wearing a sexy suit.

Meanwhile, the soon to be the owner is wearing a long rush guard.

I sigh out.

I walk towards Jade and he started teaching me how to do surfing.

This is my first time doing this. I find it difficult but it was fun. We just need to learn how to balance our body properly.

Within an hour, I finally learned it. I really enjoy this much. The other surfers were joining me. Jade also introduce me to them as the daughter of the owner of these resorts. I've never thought that they would be so happy to know me. They even took a picture with me.

When the evening has come. The great smile on my face is still there. I really enjoy it and have fun this day. I feel like, I'm a bird freed from its cage for being imprisoned for a long time.

In fact, I just now experienced socializing with ordinary people. All my life, I was surrounded by wealthy people. That every time, I should act in accordance with the policies of rich people. Well, I am happy with that, but it is even more fun when you are moving your body freely, without getting any judgment from the golden people. I can laugh out loud, and even talk crazily. This is all because of Jade. He showed me real happiness in the outside world.

And in this short moment, I forget the pain I feel.

"Here comes your coconut juice." Jade handed me that coconut juice and sat beside me.

"Thanks," I say.

Currently, we are now sitting beneath the tree, besides in the sea, with the presence of the setting sun.

"Look at the sunset. It's beautiful, isn't it?" I ask while smiling.

"Yeah. It looks like you."

"Huh? Me?" I look at him, pointed myself.

He looks at me while smiling brightly. "Yeah. Beautiful."

Wait up — what's this guy is saying. Really, it makes me uncomfortable.

I look away to avoid his gaze. Jeez. I can feel that my all blood is going into my face. "You're good at joking, huh." I chuckle awkwardly and take a sip of coconut juice.

"I'm not joking. You are really beautiful. Arent, you agree?"

"I already know that." I laugh shortly. "You are beautiful too," I say, peeking at him.

"Really? Am I beautiful?"

"Yes."

"Then, let's be beautiful together." He chuckles, then takes a sip of coconut juice.

"By the way, did you already told your sister to come to me to apologize?" I ask him, placing the coconut juice on the sand, in front of me.

"I did. But she told me that she will go to you next time. She was a bit embarrassed by what she did to you."

"Oh, she should." I joke. "No way. Tell her again to come to me. I'm not angry with her. I am not the kind of person who stayed up angry over with someone."

Through in the corner of my eyes, I saw Jade looking at me.

"I bet many men admire you." He says, makes me look at him in return.

"How could you say that?" Tch. There is only one man who is interested in me, but being fucked up by a snake.

"You are kind. Very kind. You know, mostly the reason why a guy falls in love with a girl is that because they are kind."

"Seriously? Jeez. I don't think so. Base on the current generations, mostly guys falls in love with a girl because they are pretty." I opposed. And no matter how kind the girl is, if the guys are being fucked by a snake, it's still useless.

"I don't think so too. Well, for me looks are just a bonus and temporary. It doesn't matter at all in love. A pretty face will turn old someday, so. As long as you're being treated well by your partner, it is enough."

"No, looks really matters." I protested.

"Yeah. In a relationship but not in love."

"What?" My forehead furrowed.

"Think about it, no matter how beautiful a woman is, men still leave them. Why? Because attitude is better than looks."

"Crap!" I say, laughing in a sarcastic tone. "Even if you have that looks and a good attitude, if a person will leave you, they will leave you. Do you know that? You should know that!"

"Relax." He laughs shortly.

"How can I? TSS. Why do you guys cheat huh?"

"What?"

"Why do you guys cheat? I mean, you will tell your girl that you love her very much but still you find guts to cheat on her?!" I half yell. Here I go again, I am being wrapped again by my heartbreak.

"Well, they cheat because they find someone who looks attractive more than their partners, I guess." He answers.

"Exactly, that is why looks do matter!"

"Hey girl, if a guy looks on the outside appearance of a woman then he is not a man. He is just a boy who makes false praises and promises. He only wants you but doesn't love you. You should know the difference between the boy and a man. A boy wants a hundred girls to please him, and his love is like a beautiful face, it gets old. Meanwhile, A man wants to please one woman. A man's love is like an attitude, it doesn't get old. Most of all, a man knows how to honor his commitments."

"Huh! Why do you know so much? Have you ever been in love?"

"Yeah. I did. Now."
