Chapter 3 I Will Never Let You Go

A stench of blood was covered by the strong smell of medicine. Hong Jin brought the bowl of medicine back to Feng Yun'er's room.

Nie Cangming was still talking to Feng Yun'er, and the corner of his mouth was slightly curved. On his handsome face, there was a smile that Hong Jin had not seen for a long time.

Hong Jin's hands trembled as she held the bowl of medicine. She walked to the bedside and held the bowl up in front of her.

"Drink it."

The two simple words came out from Hong Jin's pale lips. She lowered her head, her arms trembling as she held the bowl of medicine.

Nie Cangming obviously did not notice this and snatched the bowl away from her. "Yun'er, take the medicine!"

Feng Yun'er nodded. Smelling the unpleasant smell in the bowl, a pitiful look appeared in her eyes. She tried to hold the bowl of brown medicine in her hand and took a sip of it. Her facial expression suddenly turned agonized and she spat the medicine out. The bowl in her hand was knocked over uncontrollably.

Hong Jin suddenly opened her eyes widely and rushed over without thinking. She reached out her hands to catch the hot bowl, not even noticing her snow-white palms were scalded red from the heat.

"No..."

Her voice was bitter as she let out a low growl, and her eyes were instantly misty with tears.

Most of the medicine soup was still spilled out of the bowl, and what remained of it was caught in her palms. She placed the liquid in her hands back in the bowl and placed it in front of Feng Yun'er. "You can't throw it away. Drink it, drink it!"

Feng Yun'er looked at Hong Jin who was a little emotional and she frowned. She lay weakly in Nie Cangming's arms to avoid her. "Eldest Brother Nie, this bowl of medicine tastes so bad. I didn't mean to..."

When Nie Cangming saw that Hong Jin was still holding the bowl of medicine and was about to give it to Feng Yun'er, his heart was filled with anger. He waved his hand and thew the bowl into a corner, smashing it into countless pieces of porcelain.

All the medicinal liquid fell to the ground. Hong Jin kept holding the bowl and kneeling on the ground.

"Enough, Hong Jin. Are you deliberately humiliating Yun'er? It's just a bowl of medicinal soup. You actually want to give Yun'er this disgusting medicine. Don't we have other precious medicinal herbs here?"

Nie Cangming tried his best to suppress the anger on his face. He turned his head to look at Feng Yun'er, who was drenched in a cold sweat because she was enduring the pain. He knew that it was not the time to lose his temper.

"I order you to prepare another bowl of medicine. If anything happens to Yun'er, I'll never forgive you!"

The wound on her arm hurt even more.

Hong Jin raised her head and her eyes were bloodshot. She got up from the ground and slowly retreated.

It's been a whole year.

No matter how hot her heart was, it was already cold.

"No more..."

"What did you say?"

Nie Cangming frowned and looked at her in confusion.

Hong Jin's lips moved as she stepped back to the door. "We have no more medicine. She's bound to die!"

When Feng Yun'er heard this, her face turned even paler. She seemed to have lost her strength and her expression darkened a lot.

How could Nie Cangming bear this? When he saw Hong Jin running out, he patted Feng Yun'er on the back in comfort. "Yun'er, I'll go over and take a look. I won't let anything happen to you!"

He rushed out with large strides. It was still snowing outside. The air he breathed out was turned into mist immediately.

Hong Jin had nowhere else to go. She was squatting under a plum tree outside the door, hugging her shoulders as she looked at the white snow at a distance.

Nie Cangming walked behind her and grabbed her from the ground. His thin lips were tight, and the disgust in his eyes was obvious.

"Hong Jin, I married you because you said that you would cure Yun'er a year ago. Now look at what you did. You're not satisfied or what?"
