Chapter 2 : BFF's

I am in the middle of studying when someone knocks. Instead of from the door, the knock is from the window. I opened it and I saw Kissy waving to me. I waved back to her.

I was about to go back to my study area when Kissy started writing something in the paper. She showed it to me.

"I have a question," it is written on her paper.

I also get my bond papers and write my answer.

"What?"

"Do you already have a boyfriend?"

"Nope. I'll sleep now."

"Okay!"

She closed her windows and go back on studying. I have a feeling that there will bena surprised quiz again tomorrow. While I'm studying, I notice from the peripheral vision that Kissy's window opened. I guess that's her cousin. I look at the window.

My eyes widened when I saw the person who opened the window. I get my papers and marker.

"Ken?" I wrote on the paper.

"Kelly?" he wrote back.

"Yeah!"

We both smiled at each other. We haven't seen each other for several years.

"What are you doing?" he asked.

"As usual," I wrote on my paper.

"Oh. I need to go."

"Why?"

"My girlfriend is looking for me."

Before I could respond, Ken left. Hays, Ken. You didn't even know that it's still you until now.

"I need to sleep," I said to myself. I look at the clock to know what time it is.

"It's still 9:30?" I said. Still early.

"I wonder what time Ken will go back," I said.

In the whole night, Ken is the only thing on my mind. It's already 12 in the midnight but he hasn't come yet. It's not his character to come home late.

Well, it's been years. Several things have changed.

"Hmm...Hmm...Hmm..," I hum in the middle of the night.

I stopped humming when something falls down. It is from the second floor of the apartment. I just ignored it and I went back to sleep.

I woke up in the morning, 6:50, which is still early. I get my clothers and towels for I'm going to take a bath. After that, I organized my bag and walked to the school.

When I enter the room, there are still few students. Well, I'm not surprised. It is still early. I guess the other will come when it's nearly 8 in the morning.

Our teacher enters the classroom when the bell rang.

"Okay class. I have the results of your test yesterday. When I call your name, walk in front to get your papers," the teacher announced.

"Rodriguez - 24, Santos - 40, Dela Cruz - 68, Dela Fuerte - 108, De Vera - 101, Santiago - 118, Samonte - 100."

I feel pity for their scores. So low.

"And our highest, Ms. Clodeveah. She got the perfect score. Aside from that, she is the one who passed her papers first."

I walked in front to get my papers.

"Thanks, ma'am."

As always, I get the perfect score. 200 over 200.

The teacher starts discussing a new lesson. I look around to find a clock but there's none.

"Mr. Santiago! Ms. De Vera!" all of us looked to the students that the teacher shouted out.

Nathalia just rolled her eyes. I look at the person beside Nath. That is the only time I realized that Ken is also my classmate.

"Hey! You're thinking deeply," Kissy said that puts me back to reality.

"Huh? Me? No," I defend myself.

"You sound so defensive. I'm going to say something to you. Meet me at the gate of the school. 11:00 am. I'll wait for you!"

"Okay," I said before she leave the room.

I put my things back on my bag and leave the room for lunch.

At exactly 11:00, I went to the gate of the school. I waited for Kissy. Its been half an hour but she isn't here. I decided to ask the students who are walking nearby.

"Hello! Can I ask something?" I asked to them.

"Yes! What is it?"

"Did you see the girl with short hair and wearing a PE uniform?"

"Kissy? Are you looking for Kissy?" the girl asked.

"Yes!"

"I saw her in the field. She's with Nath," she answered.

"Okay. Thanks."

I walked to the field of the school. While walking I saw Nath running. I decided to follow her, thinking that she knows where Kissy is.

Nath stopped at the place at the back of the school. She enters a small room. I walked to get near to her. I was surprised when I saw a man standing infront of Nath. I can't see the man's face.

"Babe! Why did you took so long?" the man asked.

Wait. I thought Nath already have a boyfriend? Then who is this man?

"That boy doesn't want me to leave eh! But atleast I'm here," Nath answered.

I immediately run to search for Kissy. I find her walking in the gate and she seems pissed.

"Kissy!"

"Hey! Where did you go? I thought you went home already!" she said.

"I have to say something."

"What is it?"

"I saw Nath talking to another man. And she called him babe! Nath already have a boyfriend right?"

"Omg! Yes! Ken is Nath's boyfriend!"

"Huh? Ken? You're cousin?" I asked

"Yeah. Do you know him?"

"Of course. I'm his childhood best friend!"

"Let's go. We need to tell him about it."

When we are already in their apartment, Kissy told Ken everything. I don't know how he will react to this.
