M Y S T E R I O U S

LATER

Her eyes were mysterious, sitting inside a huge horse carriage Princess Rosemary looked nowhere in specific while feeling the peaceful breeze brushing her skin slightly in quiet pace.

Breathing out she drove her eyes towards ahead of her, staring at the carriage man who was leading the vehicle while humming out loud.

"A town with no women?
How is that even possible?

Princess Rosemary Jen questioned continuing their early conversion regarding her interest.

Her identity was still being protected behind the long veil covering her godly features but her authority in voice never once changed, as the man riding the horse carriage started laughing off.

"Well obviously it's not possible, who do you think think will give birth then?
What I am saying is you will find no woman out on the streets or even in the church in big days when the officials work. It's a rule no woman comes out of their homes in day time!"

The carriage man sang out proudly in reply as princess Rosemary's eyes gained a sense of weird focus after listening to his statement.

Soon unfurling the side curtain of the horse carriage loosely, she looked at the view of the town from afar.

Such a beautiful land but what a pity, it was such a curse for women.

"So women are caged inside the houses?

Clenching her fists, she balled up her apparel tightly while gritting her teeth, a hint of anger was decorated in princess's features behind the veil.

For a woman like her who have always believed in equality regardless all genders, she hated on the fact that people with such thoughts were still existing in society.

This seemingly made princess Rosemary beyond angry but she knew she had to control her aggression.

She was in hiding.
She was performing her trial.

It was such a pity, many women were being treated in such inhumane way.
The young Europe was still believing in dirty backward traditions to keep the woman behind and in foot of men.

This was indeed one harsh reality for princess Rosemary, she acknowledged that women were only being married to please the men and give them heir to them.

They were treated as objects and nothing more than that.
It was the bitter truth, and Rosemary hated every part of it.

She was out here to just prove her worth and get the throne from her own father but in all these, was she getting any other benefits?

Being a part of this entire ugly society, herself...
she was aiming for a big change.

A very big change...

Maybe she could open more opportunities for women who were being tortured in the name of customs?
Maybe in the entire process, she could also probably erase all sort of inequalities in the society?

Princess Rosemary still had her eyes outside when suddenly the carriage man again let a laugh out loud in dare.

Knowing not, with whom he was having a conservation at the moment of time.

"It's the ritual people just follow without questioning, the town is believed to be the purest land in earth.
Men don't cage their women, they protect them! No woman is violated there but the formalities never allowed much freedom to females. Women are wedded in veil and taken to their husband's house, then never they come out until they die!

Shocked by those words again Princess rosemary's heart was sadly thrilled once more.

If not this is prison then what is?
Claiming to not violate women but caging them in the four walls is such a cruel thing.

Traditions?
People call these traditions? Sick, everyone who is letting these allow, is seriously sick.

Princess Rosemary unknowingly cried a tear or two without any word in sadness, people still think it was okay?
How?

Snatching the dignity and freedom of women and leading their own lives with no boundaries sure could be one honour for men.

But for princess Rosemary it was one torture and she would not let it slide.

Never.

"Unbelievable!

She uttered in silent frustration hinting through her voice as the carriage man chuckled at her reaction.

Maybe finding it quite fascinating, how someone was so inclined to know about the traditions of society.
For him, the lady sitting on his carriage seemed way too interested in learning about everything.

Hence, leading the conversation more into the depth he decided to continue again.

"Well that's until you see the town, Sehran yourself.

The carriage man revealed mindlessly as that was when, Princess Rosemary scoffed at his choice of words.

Sehran...
yeah that's it.

Sehran.

The land where the god of young Europe, master Xavier lives.
The land where he was born and was ruling the entire territories of young Europe.

Princess Rosemary momentarily erased her hint of glossiness from the back of her index finger, after again taking interest in the communication.

"You seem to have a lot of knowledge about everything.

Princess Rosemary smartly uttered to flatter the carriage man with her charm of words, which seemingly worked well as it earned her some chuckles of proudness by the man riding the carriage with arrogance.

His eyes were still on the street, ahead while minding the reins of the horses running down the town ahead, in the rhythm of equal discipline.

"I belong there.
Upperclassman master Xavier, I work for him. Well it's just the outskirts pay good in weekends so I often ride back and forth earning extras!

That well satisfied answer from him made Princess Rosemary smirk under her veil, which still covering her face from anyone's easy view.

The carriage man was in master Xavier's service, that means he could be the medium for Princess Rosemary to meet him.

Never knew, it was going to be that easy for her.

Taking a moment of silence, her sharp eyes behind the long veil still stared at the mentioned destination from afar through the window of the carriage.

Seems like the fate too wanted her to meet master Xavier even sooner...

Better, even better because if the fate itself wants her to face him then it would make opportunities for her own way leading towards him.

"Master Xavier...

Princess Rosemary mumbled under her breath in a mysterious way as still it was loud enough to gain the carriage man's attention immediately.

"Don't you say that out loud.
He is the lord of the young Europe.

The carriage man's cautious alarm was quick enough for Princess Rosemary to correct her mistake.

Sure, no normal being can pronounce his name with such dare acknowledging the great of man was he...
he was considered no less than a lord who is being worshipped across territories.

"Why do people call him lord?

Princess Rosemary questioned back to the carriage man in order to drive him more towards the communication ahead.

She sure wanted to know more about master Xavier before she get to meet him and undergo her trial.

She needed to know what kind of man was he.

Meanwhile soon drawing his attention ahead more towards the conversion according to princess Rosemary's wish, the carriage man nodded his head for the mysterious lady sitting on his carriage.

"Master Xavier is the very last successor of Sebastian dynasty who is ruling the throne to protect the holy and sacred land of Sehran!

Speaking, the cart boy certainly didn't surprise princess Rosemary who seemed to know somewhat about master Xavier's achievement beforehand.

She knew, if he wasn't really worthy of the respect then he would not have been ruling the young Europe all by himself.

He had the authority, he did held the supremacy over the people which is why even all the kings of the territories of young Europe were even helpless in front of him.

Master Xavier was a great man and that was why king Louis wanted his daughter to undergo such a cruel and difficult trial against him in order to win the throne.

But yet Princess Rosemary was the never to type to fear any outcome without even trying the situation.

Princess Rosemary was here for only upperclassman, Master Xavier.
Just to make him fall in love with her and break his oath of celibacy.

It was just that.

And even if the degree sounded cruel for anyone to believe but for princess Rosemary it was only one trial to undergo.

The throne was the only thing which mattered to her at the moment.

"The very last?

With the same mysterious blank tone, she repeated the words of the carriage man in confusion.

What did he mean by the very last successor of Sebastian by the way?

What was going to happen to the throne after him?

"Master is a Eremite, practising strict celibacy.
He has pledged to rule without having any worldly feelings for any female since he had taken the throne. After him there would be no more heir ruling his throne!

The carriage man's statement caused a rush of seriousness in Princess Rosemary's aura.

There would be no more heir to the throne?
Then that means there would not be any ruler to his throne and restrict the kings of young Europe territories?

If so, then the territories of young Europe will be independent from his rule after his last generation?

She was captivated by the town Sehran for sure but more was she, to meet the throne holder of Sehran...
master Xavier was the main reason of her curiosity now.

Was he really a man with no greed?
She truly had an urge to know him better.

But now that princess Rosemary ditched her previous life of royalty behind and accepted the struggle...

She had to be dedicated to her trial entirely which leaded towards master Xavier and she was willing to undergo the trial only so she could win the throne.

No other thing mattered to her other than her throne but was she right about everything?

Ditching her royalty meant she had no security protecting her at all, which also indicated that there was a huge risk of her life and security.

So she had to be careful in each step of her trial and not get caught by anyone at all.

"By the way, may I know who are you lady?

The carriage man turned cocky the exact minute while questioning the identity of the mysterious lady sitting on his carriage.

It has been few hours of Princess Rosemary travelling now, both quite of shared good conversations with one another without even introducing themselves at the first place.

Hence, the obvious question was raised about the identity of her next.

Who really was she?
