Female werewolves cannot have children. It's not possible. The moon forces their change to wolf form the week it is at its fullest, effectively killing any possible offspring with the trauma of the change. Therefore, wolves are not born, they are created. Yet Danica is not like other females, in fact she isn't like any other wolf. And in a world were anything out of the ordinary is hunted down or made into a mere possession, she does not want to become anyone's. This might prove difficult, however, when circumstances and the needs of her pack send her on a collision course with Kaelan, an Alpha and son of The Rex who rules the wolves of North America with an iron fist and little mercy for anyone who crosses him or refuses to fall in line.
