The Past Love

Chapter 1: The Epic Slap!

[ Chia's POV ]

“Hey Sia, what happened?” I asked as I saw my best friend weeping in tears.

We both approached her and caressed her back. “Come here, take a seat,” Sam said calmly,

guiding her to the bench. "Come on, Sia, Tell us what happened."

“We (*hik* *hik*) b-broke (*hik*) up (*hik* *hik*)” she even cried out.

“WHAT?!” I shockingly said that it made me stand up in rage.

“Hey, calm down, Chia.” Sam tapped my shoulders as she told me to sit down.

“How can I calm down, Sam? Your brother just broke up with our best friend!” I muttered with anger. “How can you let him outstrip what he did?

She gasped which seems to make her shock of what I said.

“H-hey, y-you (*hik*) two, stop (*hik* *hik*) f-fighting.” I heard Sia pacified us with a cracked voice.

“I-I'm sorry, Sam. I didn't mean it.” I apologized, heaving a sigh.

She smiled at me sweetly. "I understand, Chia."

We both seated beside our poor best friend, Sia.

This is Sam's brother 's fault. If he didn't break up with my best friend, we should've seen the blooming smile tracing in her lips. We should've seen her energetic aura every day, and we shouldn’t have seen her suffering in pain.

I let out another sigh. “Don’t mind that jerk, Sia.” Said I, caressing her back to comfort her. “I hope you wouldn’t mind me saying…But what do we expect from him? He’s a playboy and we all know that he’s been into many different relationships…and nothing lasted for long.” I added. “No offense, Sam.

“None took,” she replied.

“And speaking of the devil…” I trailed off as I saw Finley walking towards our place with his Barkadas.

I stood up from my seat and confronted him straightforwardly as soon as they got here.

"Happy?" I interrogated him with an irked glare.

I caught him leered and said, "If this is about your poor best friend-"

I didn't let his words finish and...

*SLAP!*

I felt Sam snatched my arms to pacify me. "H-hey, calm down," she exclaimed.

I noticed other students glaring at me for what I did.

His Barkadas were secretly holding

What?! There's nothing wrong with defending your most loyal friend! Who cares if I get embarrassed in front of everybody when you did that to confront someone because of what he caused?!

"So now are you happy?" I said with a sarcastic voice.

He smirked while massaging his reddish right cheeks.

"Uhm, may I excuse us?" Sam interfered, looking at her brother and then at me.

I just bitterly smiled and nodded.

Sam grabbed her brother's hands and pulled him in a place where they can talk privately, leaving with his Barkada at the same time.

"What was that Kuya?" I asked as soon as we got to a soundless place.

His brows narrowed into slits. "What do you mean?"

I threw a sigh. "Kuya, you promised me not to play with my best friend's feelings, remember?" I reproved at him. "I know I don't have the rights, but Kuya, didn't you saw her? She looks miserable for what you did!"

"'Li'l Sister, don't you know the quote that promises are the sweetest lies?" He chuckled like a madman. "By the way, what's with the slap that girl fired into my face?"

I breathed for the nth time. "Kuya, Chia is raging in anger because of what you did to Sia. And if I were her, I would be in the rage too. But you know that I can't get mad on you because you're my brother." I stated. "But Kuya, please, if you are bored in life, don't implicate my best friend on your wild enthusiasm!" I said as I walked away, tossing a groan before I left.

As I reach our place, I saw Chia hugging our poor best friend, possibly comforting her.

"Let's go, shall we?" I invited them with a smile. "For sure our mentor is waiting for us." I breathed out. "Don't you worry, I already talked to my brother. I'm sorry about that, Sia. You know my brother is a jerk and fond of playing with someone's feelings."

"You have nothing to be sorry for, Sam," Sia replied while wiping her tears coming from her amber-colored eyes. "It's not your fault. And there is nothing I can do with your brother's decision. I-If he wants to end our relationship, then-then I'm setting him free. After all, I should've known that this will happen in the end or-or maybe sooner or later."

"But still-"

"Let's go. I'm sure Sir Brian is patiently waiting for us. We still have to practice for the live-action play of Romeo and Juliet, right?" she amputated my words, perhaps hindering me from being sorry for what my brother did. I just smiled bitterly and we head going to the film studio for rehearsal.

"Uh, excuse me- uh, sorry to interrupt- Sir Brian, miss Michelle wants to talk to you." a young lady, probably between 25-30 years old, entered the room.

She's wearing a white spaghetti strap ice silk camisole, topped with a peach-colored blazer, tucked in a knee-length fitted white skirt.

She's also holding a clipboard, which seems to be a clue that she's an assistant. She may be the new assistant of Sir Brian or our head, Ms. Michelle. Well, she's not familiar to me, I haven't seen her before here on the campus.

"People," Sir Brian looked at us. "I'll be gone for a few minutes. So I want you to behave yourselves, while Rachelle takes on the lead while I'm gone, is that clear to everyone?"

"Yes, sir," we said in unison.

"Let's go, Keisha." Sir Brian muttered before he left the studio with that Keisha girl.

Within a few minutes, Sir Brian came back with Keisha. "Okay everyone, settle down, settle down, I have an announcement," Sir spoke, gesturing us to take a seat first.

"Sorry to say everyone, but Walter Dawson, or should I say, Romeo, will not be able to attend the play." the room was filled with murmurs and gossips. "He has an emergency flight to Australia and tomorrow is his departure."

Me? I was stunned. I'm playing as Juliet but I will have no partner?! Unbelievable!

"So, now, who will play as Romeo?" I heard someone asked from the back.

Sir gestured to Keisha and she then opened the door.

My eyes widened as I saw the man who just entered the room.

"YOU?!"
