THE GUEST Part I

“MANDY, where are you?” Greta, Mandy’s older sister, asked on the other line.

“I’m in my condo probably still sleeping if it wasn’t for your call,” she replied as she ran a hand through her messy hair. She did not feel going out of bed. Her body still ached.

“Great. Let’s meet up at the coffee shop across the street,” she said giddily.

“What?” Mandy groaned in frustration. “It’s weekend!

Greta is the owner and editor-in-chief of Daring Magazine, a company that they both founded almost a year ago.

“I know. But I can’t wait to tell you about it. I believe this is what we’ve been waiting for, and I can’t afford to waste time!

Mandy sighed, rolling her eyeballs. “Whatever.

It had something to do about their first-anniversary issue, that’s for sure. Their digital magazine was doing well in the past year, but Greta wanted more.

Greta giggled. “I’m on my way. See you, sister!

MANDY took a shower. She sat on the side of her bed and reached for the telephone as she dried her hair with a towel. She was a little famished, but she was too lazy to cook. She’ll have to call the food delivery service.

She was almost done with the call when the door rang. She wondered who it was. It could not be Greta yet. She wasn’t expecting anyone that day.

Mandy threw the towel on her bed and tied her robe. She peeped through the hole as soon as she reached the door. She gasped at the sight of the dark, muscular man standing outside her door. It was Tyrone!

She met Tyrone at the gym, and he was ten years her junior. She opened the door.

“Hey,” he greeted with a coy grin the moment he got in. He grabbed her by the waist and pushed her gently on the wall. “I miss you.

“Ty—”

Tyrone cut her with a passionate kiss. He pulled the lace of her robe, and his hand groped her breast. Mandy moaned as she sucked her breath.

“W-wait, Ty.” She pushed his chest gently. “What are you doing here?

“My girlfriend moved here. She was still getting ready, so I might as well grab the chance and sneak in.

Mandy rolled her eyeballs ceilingward. Dickhead. The only reason she kept on seeing him was that he was great in bed.

“Did you tell your girlfriend to move here on purpose?

“Uh-huh.” Tyrone chuckled and claimed her mouth once again. “You smell so nice, Mandy,” he whispered huskily as his mouth found the curve of her neck.

“I still have other important business to do today, Ty. Make it quick.

“I’m not here to waste my time, either.

He shifted her and made her face the wall. He pulled his pants down until his erect cock sprang free. He parted her thighs and began to rub his shaft against her moist slit.

“Oh!

Mandy placed her hands on the wall as she offered him her behind. She closed her eyes and arched her back as the familiar twinge of desire sliced through her navel. She tiptoed as he lifted her hips, adjusting her for his entrance.

Serious commitments may not be Mandy’s cup of tea, but she had high standards for hookups, too. She does not let just any random guy fuck her just because she was horny.

“ARE YOU sure about this?” Mandy asked as she swiped through the photos on Greta’s phone. They were all pictures of the infamous Salazar mansion, which was built after World War II.

“It would be a win-win situation. We’ll have the perfect place for our special anniversary photoshoot, and it would be easier for the Salazars to sell this mansion.” Greta clasped her hands and pursed her lips. “The problem is I haven’t talked to the owner about the proposal yet.

“And?” Mandy raised her eyebrow.

“It’s up to you to make it happen.

“What?” Mandy frowned as she leaned back on her seat.

“It’s not that tough of a job, sister. I mean, Marco Salazar can’t say ‘no’ to you.” Greta grinned.

“Marco Salazar owns the mansion?” she uttered in surprise.

“Well, I can’t blame him for selling that valuable property. I heard that that place had a tragic story that happened a long time ago.

“Greta, do you think it would be easy after I turned Marco down? I mean, it was just a date, but do you think he had already forgotten it?

Marco Salazar owns the biggest wine manufacturing company in the country, and his brand was already making names abroad. She met him when they featured his milestone in their magazine. He asked her out, and she refused without even thinking about it twice.

Rumors follow him everywhere, and she did not want to be one on his long list of women. Getting screwed by a man who already had a girlfriend was enough for her. Though, she must admit that Marco was just her type.

“I like Marco. He’s a professional man, and I’m sure he won’t take it against us that you turned him down.

“For me, he’s egoistic,” Mandy retorted.

“Do this for us, sister, please?” Greta reached for her hand and batted her eyelashes.

Mandy rolled her eyeballs ceilingward as she pulled her hand away.

“Alright, alright.” She sighed.

Greta giggled and clapped her hands.

“I knew I could always count on you. Wait, I’m going to forward his number now.

MANDY took a deep breath as she waited on the other line. She sat in front of her glass wall, watching the neighboring buildings in the crimson background.

“Mandy?

She sucked her breath at the sound of Marco’s gentle voice. She did not expect it would affect her.

“Mr. Salazar,” she said as she cleared her throat.

“You don’t have to be formal to me,” he said with a smile.

“Well, Mr. Salazar, this is about business, and it’s only appropriate that I, at least, be polite.

“Okay. Then, what can I help you with?

“Daring Magazine is celebrating its first anniversary, and we found that your mansion is a perfect venue to hold our photoshoot. Would you mind if we rent the place? We’ll make sure to treat the place with care and respect.

“You can use the mansion for free, that is if you’d go out with me.

Mandy pressed her lips. She was surprised he was still interested in her.

“Why? Are you single right now?

“Do I have to be single to ask someone out?” he teased.

“Well.” Mandy sighed. “How about after the photoshoot? You can take me to any place you want.

“Then, I suppose I’ll see you next week, then.” Marco’s voice was calm, but she could sense the pleasure in his tone.

Mandy could not believe she’d make a deal as fast as that.

“Thanks… Marco. See you soon?

“See you, Mandy.
