Jason rushed at me and got hold of my hand before it could make contact with Cynthia's face
"What is going on here Lexi?" He asked and I gave him the evil eye
"I think I should be asking both of you that question" 
I went to my table and picked up Jason's phone
"Explain this" I said as I handed him his phone with Cynthia's naked picture on the screen
"What the f.." Jason said and instant looked away from his phone "What is this?"
"What you asked for. The messages are simple and straight forward"
"What do you mean? What messages?"
"Screw you both" I said angrily, picked up my bag and walked out of the office
"Lexi!" Jason called and started running after me
"Go to hell!"
"I still don't understand what is going on" he said and put his hand on me
"Take your hand off me before I bite it off. I'm going home now and I'm taking the car. The car key?"
"Lexi"
"Give me the car key!"
He handed the car key to me and I drove the car home like a mad woman
"Good day ma'am" Maxwell nanny greeted when she saw me but I ignored her and headed to the bathroom
"Is Lexi home?" Jason asked Maxwell nanny five minutes later and I ran out of the bathtub in order to lock the door
"Lexi?" He called as he entered our bedroom
He came to the bathroom door and pressed the door handle 
"Lexi open the door. Lexi?"
"Go away. I don't want to see you"
"It's not true. I will never cheat on you, you know that"
"Your phone said something different. Don't provoke me Jason, just go away"
Jason dropped the door handle and I imagined him walking to the bed

Jason continued knocking on the door once or twice per hour but I still didn't want to see him.
Around ten o'clock that night, I finally came out of the bathroom
"Lexi" Jason called when he saw me, he was still in his office attire
"Stop calling me"
"I didn't do it. I swear. I and Cynthia don't chat not to talk of sexting each other"
"I saw it with my own eyes" I said and started crying
He walked up to me and tried to wrap his hands around me but I moved away from him
"Don't touch me"
"Lexi please believe me"
"Seeing is believing" I said and walked to the closet to pick a blanket and a pillow"
Jason sighed heavily when he saw a pillow and a blanket in my hands and sadly said "Where are you going to?'
"I can't share the same bed with a cheater" I said as I started walking out of the room
Jason ran after me and took the pillow from me
"Jason my pillow?" I said and stretched out my hand for it
"Lexi, believe me"
"Jason my pillow?"
"I'm telling you the truth but you don't want to believe me" he shrugged "Give me the blanket, I will go and sleep elsewhere. This is your room"
"Fine by me" I handed him the blanket and walked to the bed
"Lexi" he called sadly and I turned back 
"Get out of my room!"
"I'm telling you the truth but...Good night. I love you"
I ignored him and he slowly walked out of the room.
I touched his side of the bed, it was cold and I started crying. My husband cheated on me with my best friend.
I couldn't sleep throughout the night. The revelation was just too much to comprehend. Why would Cynthia do something like that to me?
"Because she wants what you have" my subconscious replied and I opened my mouth in shock
"Cynthia thinks that she can ruin my relationship with Jason just to have him to herself" I murmured "Jason is mine alone"
I got out of bed, went to the bathroom to wash my face and went out of the room to check where Jason was sleeping.
Jason rose to his feet when I opened the door, he was sitting down in front of our room door. "Lexi" he called when he saw me "I didn't do it. Believe me. I think it's a set up"
"I don't care"
He looked at me confusedly "Lexi"
"I said I don't care. Come back to bed"
Jason was reluctant to enter the room 
"Enter"
"Lexi"
"Are you scared?  You think that I'm going to kill you or what?"
He sighed "No... but... I don't know"
"You don't trust me with your life?"
"Of course I do. I trust you with my life. I trust you with my everything but you don't trust me. I told you that I didn't do it"
"I trust you and I love you"
I stood on my tiptoes and kissed him gently on his lips 
"Come back to bed, the room is also yours"
I bent down and helped him to pack the blanket and the pillow
On the bed, I pushed my ass to his front and he wrapped his hand around me
"Good night husband"
Jason sighed and said "Good night wifey"
