SUPREME

                                                    1.DEATH

In a tiny kingdom called ' Great Ming Kingdom' by foreigners but called ' Great Ming' by her citizens, a tall man stood in a hall in front of a magnificent door. The door had curving of dragons and phoenixes with another unrecognizable bird at the center of the intricate design. The intricate carvings gave the door a noble grace that indicated how noble the person behind the door was.

The muscular man was surrounded by tens of individuals dressed in official garb made of gold and the finest silk.

These people of great wealth were all worried. Just by looking at their faces which seemed to be filled with dread, a conclusion that great stress was put upon their minds could easily be reached. All these men and women looked at the muscular man in his golden robes with fear and subservience. Very few looked at the man with respect and understanding. The man paced in the hall; his footsteps heavy with worry.

"Your imperial majesty, there is no need to worry for the young prince, he is blessed by the heavens, his luck is sky-piercing, and he will surely survive this calamity," said one of the more submissive officials trying to calm the anxious man who looked as though he was all but ready to declare war upon all nations of the continent should he not get his way.

This worried man turned out to be the king of the Great Ming Kingdom. Although Great Ming was a power unto itself, her national power was far from reaching the strength possessed by the empires of the Eden continent.

What made the King angrier than a bull during the mating season was simply the thought of it as something a prince should have been prepared for and guarded against, but if the idea from the perspective of the king, a loving father, it was utterly unacceptable yet to be expected.

The prince had been attacked by assassins who, with poisoned blades and high cultivations almost sent the prince on his way to an early grave. The prince had survived the tribulation but not before half of his life was claimed by the assassins' poisoned blades. Before the killers had the chance to finish the job and escape like smoke through a chimney, the mighty king of the Great Ming, Anders Ming arrived in response to the prince's screams and quickly dispatched the assassins by bisecting each of them in two by his broad sword. Blood and entrails spilled on the floor causing all who saw the scene to remember how Ming Anders had created the Great Ming, with power and blood.

  "Your majesty, Prince Xerxes' life is in the hands of the most knowledgeable apothecary on the Eden continent. Apothecary Zen has skills enough to put the reaper to tears. He is sure to save the young prince from the stinky jaws of death. " Said another official. At this moment, the door swung open and out came a short scrawny man with a grey beard reaching the floor.

"Apothecary Zen, is my son, okay?"  the king asked with a shaky voice.

"Apologies my king, but the prince has succumbed to his injuries. His highness prince Xerxes has left this mortal world "

Apothecary Zen replied with words that left the king petrified and the officials weak to their knees since they knew that heads were about to roll.

                                    2.BIRTH

The atmosphere froze as the wind went still and the air became stale. The officials were dumbfounded with their eyes almost popping out of their skulls and their mouths wide open. The usually unshakable officials stared at each other in dismay and shock.

With their many years of experience and their understanding of King Ming,  they knew that what was to follow in the wake of the prince's death was death and bloodshed, many people were about to lose their lives to appease the king's heaven towering rage.

      six years ago, a similar scene played out in Great Ming.

A man standing at 6.7", extremely tall by human standards, anxiously stood in front of the very same magnificent door. He was surrounded by the very same officials, but that time around, these officials were smiling in joy for the king and the kingdom, finally, after years of marriage, a living heir to the throne was about to be born.  The tall man by the door was of course King Ming, a  man known by all in his kingdom and beyond as the ' conqueror of the south'.

He ruled his kingdom with an iron fist giving no allowance for disobedience. With his cultivation at the limit of known levels of cultivation, he had no rivals in the South. This ensured that no one dared to question his absolute authority.

Now looking at this man known for his brutality and mercilessness, his officials could only see a would-be father terrified and anxious for the fate of his unborn child and wife.

His officials were speechless at the sight but remembering that the king's last 5 children were stillborn, all the officials could not stop themselves from sighing with defeat as all their joy changed to frustration and pity for the mighty king.

The king had been married to his extremely beautiful wife Zhang Ziyi for over thirty years but the couple still had no child to talk about. This issue brought great pain and suffering to the beautiful queen as she became the talk of the kingdom for her failure to give the king an heir. Some commoners had even gone so far as to say that the union of the king with Queen Zhang was not per heavens laws.

          As the king was pacing in front of the door, the clouds above the palace parted and the sun shone brightly on the palace, sounds of heavenly music were heard by all the peoples of Great Ming. Stars appeared in bright daylight causing all who gazed upon them to bow down in awe, amazement, and a hint of fear for this was absolutely nothing normal by any human standards.

All the king's officials looked outside the palace and before anybody could say anything, the wisest of the officials, Li Chen the prime minister of the kingdom proclaimed the happenings as good omens welcoming the chosen prince.

But as usual, he had spoken too early, all light disappeared leaving absolute darkness in its wake, and the heavenly sounds became dreary and demonic. The sky was darker than the darkest midnight.

People started falling dead, and when the officials saw their fellows dying right before their eyes, they started panicking but none dared move from their positions without the king's permission.

At this moment, a resonant baby cry was heard coming from behind the magnificent door. The demonic sounds stopped as if they didn't dare compete with the baby's first cry, the darkness became thicker as if to welcome an unholy tainted being into the world of man.

Before the cries stopped, the king kicked open the door and barged into the room.

On seeing a baby being held by a woman on the bed in the middle of the room the king knelt in wonder and overflowing love, he didn't care about the so-called omen or their interpretation, all he cared about was his wife and child.

"How could something so beautiful exist in the world!" said the king to his exhausted wife. The birth had not been an easy one.

                                                    3.THE YOUNG GENIUS

    In the following days, the birth of the crown prince Xerxes was announced to the world with great pomp and flare. King Ming Anders ensured that the heavenly signs were interpreted in favor of the kingdom.

It was proclaimed that the signs indicated that the royal prince would bring great prosperity to the kingdom and the darkness only showed that the prince would fight and eradicate the greatest enemy of the kingdom, the Rakan race which the people of the Eden continent associated with darkness. The Rakan race was mostly a myth on the Eden continent but the fear their name induced in the masses was not to be underestimated. In the myths and legends, the Rakan race was the most powerful in the world. It was said that this race had descended from the t god Erebus who lords over darkness and rewards evil while punishing good. The king used the people's fear of the Rakan race to divert their attention from how terrifying the prince's birth had been.

        At the tender age of 2 months, the prince started walking, at four months, he was already a fluent speaker of the native language of the Eden continent.

When the boy was two years old, his father the king summoned the greatest minds on the continent to teach him about poetry, chess, military tactics, governance, horse riding, archer, and the use of all sorts of weapons of war.

At this point, the prince's intellect was way beyond that of a ten-year-old child.

He quickly understood the esoteric concepts being taught to him by his many different teachers and in the tenth renewed year 700,007 of the Eternal Yang Empire the now ten-year-old prince Xerxes started participating in national affairs, at first many were skeptical.

'What could a ten-year-old child contribute to the administration of a kingdom? He should still be suckling on his mother's tit, not meddling with matters beyond his understanding.' thought the majority of the court officials.

Even though this is what they thought, they did not dare go against the king, his temper was legendary, a single wrong word could set him off leading to the extermination of entire bloodlines.

              For the first few weeks, the young prince sat on a smaller golden chair next to his father in the court chambers. He did not speak nor show any expression on his face. All he did was listen to all matters discussed small and big. Some of the officials sneered inwardly at the seemingly confused prince. 

"Your majesty, the southern coastal city, the Imperfect city, needed immediate financial aid to return life to normal after the recent flood that devasted the city killing millions and destroying millions of gold worth in property.

Mayor Wu, requests your understanding and support during this difficult period." said a short official.

When the young prince heard this, he showed a change in expression for the first time since joining the court sessions.

When his father and the officials saw this, they were surprised although the matter being discussed was important and the death toll immeasurable, this was not the first time such a matter was discussed. Just two days prior, the court had discussed the destruction of the Wooden City in the same region, and in this case, the death toll was so high that an exact value had not been attained by the kingdom. During this discussion, the prince had not shown any change in expression but to some, he may have even looked bored.

"Prince Xerxes, what are your thoughts regarding this matter?" asked the king while looking at his son lovingly.

The young prince stood up and bowed to his father before moving in Infront of the standing officials. The court chambers were so large that the contrast with Xerxes' height was too striking.

"Royal father, court officials, don't you find this suspicious! Although the Imperfect City is hit by floods at least twice a year, in recent years, the flooding events have become at least four per year. On analysis of the sea winds, the great continental winds only blow towards the continent twice a year. Sure, we can say that due to some changes in the weather patterns, the great continental winds now blow toward the continent four times a year but such a huge change can not simply happen abruptly as we have seen. I propose that we investigate this matter carefully and thoroughly before further action is taken ." said the young prince.

When he was done, the officials and the king were deep in thought as he bowed and went back to his seat.

"We shall do as the prince recommends. Minister Mu, you will head to the Imperfect City immediately and investigate this matter." ordered the king.

"As his majesty orders ." replied the bowing finance minister Mu Chu.

The following week, Minister Mu returned to court and gave his report, as it turned out, Mayor Wu had been sending false reports of floods for the past ten years. He used the gold he received to build himself a luxurious mansion and he even created a harem of sixty-seven beauties for himself.

The former mayor Wu of modest wealth had turned into the richest man in the Imperfect city. To keep the other officials silent, he shared with them a portion of his ill-gotten gains . Those who re do refuse to partake quickly died under mysterious conditions.

When the king heard this, his fury reached the heavens. The mayor and all the local officials were dragged to court by the imperial soldiers.

After a few weeks of torture, they confessed to their crimes.

The king ordered them to be put to death and all their assets seized. Their nine generations were sold as slaves to compensate for the lost money.

      Xerxes, at age thirteen, had already become the most celebrated poet, chess player, politician, tactician, and lawmaker. To top it all off, he cultivated at godly speeds having achieved the fourth level of cultivation, the blood refinement stage at age four.

He mastered more than half of the kingdom's techniques.

At this point, nobody had any doubt that Xerxes was a genius bestowed by the heavens to the Ming kingdom.

But with all good things come the bad, by age 14, Xerxes had experienced countless assassination attempts from neighboring kingdoms which knew that their independence was dependent on Xerxes' death.

With no other recourse, the king put in place the most strict security to protect the prince.

He ordered his officials never to discuss the prince's location and habits with anybody without permission.

      Back to the present

During Xerxes' birthday celebration, countless diplomats arrived to offer well wishes and perhaps form beneficial relationships with the young genius. Many gifts and marriage offers were presented to the king and all was going as planned until an uninvited guest arrived.

The eunuch suddenly announced, " His royal highness  Wang Chu, prince of the Great Chu Empire has come to offer his well wishes to the prince of the Ming kingdom."

Suddenly everyone was bewildered, even if the Chu Empire wanted to wish the prince of the Ming kingdom well, an imperial prince would not have to make the journey himself, just sending a servant from the imperial palace would be more than sufficient.

In the quiet hall, a man whose appearance could be described as gorgeous walked through the door with overwhelming confidence and charisma.

He moved with grace straight to the king's throne. He didn't bow or show any respect for the king  " Where is this so-called genius?" asked Prince Chu in an arrogant manner.

                                                       4.CHU EMPIRE

    In the southern region of the large yet tiny Eden continent, the  Chu Empire was king, and its power and authority were almost undisputed. Its might was recognized by all. It had seven mighty existences at level 9 of cultivation, the demigod stage. With these seven demigods, the Chu empire was able to carve out the southern part of Eden as its own, and with an iron fist, it used blood to hold onto its territories. This empire could not be called evil since this was simply the way of empires, they get too big and the only way to manage them effectively is by showing your detractors that you are willing to do whatever it takes to hold onto your sphere of influence.

                The Chu Empire was one of the four rank-one empires on the continent. It had conquered hundreds of small and large kingdoms in the South. Those that were deemed too inconvenient to manage due to factors such as distance from the Chu empire or the unyielding spirit of the people, these kinds of kingdoms were left to exist only in name. Their kings were puppets . These puppet kings paid tribute to the mighty Chu empire every year without fail, and those that for some reason failed, would be promptly exterminated by the Chu forward army. The only reason for the existence of this army was to always be ready to exterminate men, women, and children, and even the elderly were not let off, In some cases, the elderly were even the main targets. This army was not the pride of the Chu empire but it was most definitely one of its most crucial assets.

        In the south, the Chu empire was akin to a blazing sun at midday with its light reaching every Conner of the south. Not even a single blade of grass was spared from the all-seeing eye of the empire

As the saying goes, where there is light, there will be darkness.

With this understanding, many citizens of the Chu Empire were able to keep their consciousness free from the atrocities committed by the Forward Army.

          With such great power, it surprised the continent when the Great  Ming Kingdom was able to rise to a height where its power could not easily be suppressed by the Chu Empire.

What started as a small state grew to become one of the great powers of the continent in a few thousand years. The kingdom conquered and expanded its territories at a rate unheard of on the continent.

The great conqueror Ming led his armies into battle himself every time. His military tactics became legendary almost eclipsing his great cultivation and combat level.

          For a kingdom to become an empire, it must have several demigod existences with at least one of them at the peak of the demigod stage this was the generally accepted thinking on the continent.

Great Ming was the kingdom in the South with the shortest history of just 1000 plus years, this newly risen kingdom was unexpectedly considered the strongest in the South just below the Chu empire. This was all due to the great conqueror  King Ming.

His ruthlessness was something the South had not seen for a long, long time.

The Ming kingdom grew to the point that many feared the rise of a second empire in the South. If a second empire were to raise, war with the Chu empire would be unavoidable. Thud would thrust the entire southern part of the continent into a war that would leave hundreds of millions dead and others displaced.

        The kingdom had been established single-handedly by King Ming through conquests that lasted for over 500 years. He then took another five hundred consolidating his power and authority over the conquered territories.

Many thought that once the great conqueror had finished consolidating his power, he would resume his conquest until Great Ming was all there was.

King Ming with his peak demigod stage cultivation was unstoppable in his conquests and historians and scholars refer to this period as the Blood Age. During this time, it was easier to find blood than it was to find a water body.

King Ming in his thirst for power and territory wiped out entire cities and destroyed tens of kingdoms. All who refused to surrender unconditionally were killed mercilessly by Ming himself.

Some speculated that the king's conquests were stopped by a combination of all the four empires of the Eden continent who saw no end in sight for the Blood Age.

King Ming had to sign an agreement with the four empires stating that the four empires would not attack the Kingdom and King Ming would bring an end to the Blood Age.No one knew why King Ming accepted his agreement but they were glad that he did.

        Emperor Chu was advised to destroy the new kingdom but he refused citing several reasons that made no sense. The truth of the matter was that he understood that he did not have the power to face King Ming in a confrontation. He even suspected that he would be killed instantly should he face King Ming in battle.

Knowing this, emperor Chu instead opted for semi-friendly relations until he could break through to the theoretical god stage, at this level, the whole continent would have to bow to his might or face the consequences.

      The Empire had seven demigods including the emperor.

Two of the emperor's children were also included, one a prince and the other, the flower of the continent, Princess Chu.

With this level of power, the Chu Empire was indeed the greatest powerhouse in the South.

To the Chu empire, only the other three empires and the great Ming kingdom were threats, all else was trivial and not worth the worry.

                                                      5.WANG CHU’S ARROGANCE

   "Where might this genius be, could he possibly be suckling on his mummy's tits ."Wang Chu's words were still as disrespectful as before .Perhaps even more disrespectful.

The officials,guards and all the other invited guests had frozen faces . Every one knew that the ruthless and even bloodier King Ming loved his wife more than anything else .What ever the queen asked for ,she got .

It was even rumored that she is the one who got king Ming to stop his conquest ,not the pressure from the empires.King Ming was prepared to take on the empires but his wife simply requested for a peaceful life ,this was all it took for the great conqueror Ming to end his blood stained campaign.

For prince Wang Chu to disrespect the queen in such a way right Infront of the king's face was nothing short of a death sentence for the prince and if the king was feeling particularly pissed ,all present would pay the price .

Before the king could say anything ,the royal guards attacked with even more fury and rage than if it were they own wives who were insulted .

Form all over the hall ,guards with black spears came rushing towards the prince .

Before they could reach him ,the prince's guards and an old man in blue robes came rushing into the hall .

They quickly moved to defend the prince in the center of the hall .All the other guests and officials had already moved to the sides of the hall leaving the prince at the center.No one dared help the arrogant prince.

At the center of the hall ,fierce fighting began .

King Ming's royal guards were the best if the best and had been trained by the king himself .He did not just end at training them ,he had taken them with him during his conquests ensuring that each guards had at least killed one hundred enemies.

Spears met swords as the two groups fought .The prince stood at the center, seemingly carefree and not worried at all .

He probably thought that a mere king would never dare kill an imperial prince of the Chu empire.

As his men fell one by one , skewered by the long spears ,the prince continued smiling as though watching an interesting show .

The flow was covered in blood and spilled guts horrifying the guests .

Gasps of dying men filled the room and soon ,only a single old man in blue robes was left guarding the prince .This man was a stage six cultivator set by emperor Chu to protect his son . Although prince Wang Chu was not the apple of his eye ,he was still  a prince of the  mighty Chu empire.

"Prince stay behind me ." the old man instructed the prince but this instruction was of no use since they were completely surrounded.

Hmmmm ,snorted the prince ,"What are you worried about ,do you actually think this so called king dares kill me ?"asked the Prince.

"Yes "this was the old man's only reply .Every one seemed to know that the prince was doomed except the prince .

            King Ming had been seated in his throne all this time without saying anything.He simply looked at the soon to be dead prince with disdain in his eyes .

"Kneel "commanded the king .

Prince Wang Chu turned to look at the king in disbelief.Some one actually dared order him to his knees .

Hahahhahahhaah ,laughed the prince with tears almost coming out of his eyes .

"KNEEL"shouted the king and this time ,the entire hall shook and cracks appeared in the walls .

This hall was not weak ,it had been constructed using the best materials available on the continent.

The spiritual pressure in the king's voice made the hearts of everyone in the hall to shudder .

The prince finally realized the danger he was in .

At this moment ,he started recalling all the terrifying history associated to the man before him .

This man had killed everyone who ever got in the way of his conquest ,why wouldn't he kill a mere prince .

In order to stop his conquest ,the four empires had to combine their might and even then ,victory was still in the hands if the gods .

The prince's face became contorted with fear and anger as he fell to his knees .

Pa ,a loud slap resounded in the hall .When things settled down and the guests looked around,they saw a headless body standing next to the  prince with the king just a few steps away.

Blood sprayed from the body painting the kneeling prince red .

Everyone was horrified .When the blood stopped spraying out of the old man's body ,it fell with a sickening sound making the prince flinch .

      The king slowly walked back to his throne and slowly sat down .

"Iam not a merciful king ,when I say kneel ,you kneel ."said the king

Everyone was dumbfounded,they had all thought the order was for the prince alone ,had they been in the position of the old man ,they also would have remained standing.

"Did he just slap stage six cultivator to death ?"asked a dazed guest .

When these words spread throughout the hall , everyone was shaken to their cores ,stage six cultivators were respected people wherever they went and their power was to be admired ,but the king ,with a single slap, beheaded such a cultivator.

When this realization sank in ,guest hurriedly fell to their kneels in terror. 

              "Prince Wang Chu,you have two breaths to convince me to spare your life ."said the king .

"Forgive this lowly one your majesty ,my mind was confused.This lowly one deserves death ."said the prince .

His thinking was simple , surely the king wouldn't kill a humbled prince of the Chu empire, especially not one who had come as an envoy.

Blazing hot fire fill d the hall scorching everything.The prince was engulfed by the scorching flames .

He screamed with pain and terror but no one interfered .The fire quickly burnt him into ash .

When the fire disappeared , nothing was left in the hall floor,even the blood was burnt off the floor .

The king waved his right hand and a gust of wind blew the prince's ashes out of the hall through the doors .

The king's control over his power impressed everyone as he did all this with out harming any of the guests and even their hair was not displaced by the wind .

                                                 6.BETROTHED

      No one was surprised when the empire declared war on the kingdom the following week.

The messenger sent with the declaration was swiftly beheaded by King Ming before he could open his scroll.

Without even opening the scroll, everyone seemed to know its content. No empire would respond with anything less than war when its prince is burnt to ashes not even leaving a body for the burial rites. This kind of humiliation could not be left unanswered.

King Ming set the scroll on fire in Infront of his court before declaring war himself.

"From this day forth, the empire and the kingdom can no longer live under the same sky."

These were the king's only words before the war machine that was the kingdom was set into motion. The preparedness shown by the kingdom showed the world that King Ming had never given up my his ambitions of continental conquest. His armies were fully supplied and equipped within days. Their weapons and war horses were the best there could be.

With the king in the lead, the mighty army left the capital with the commoners cheering for the army's victory. Ming The Conqueror had finally come out of retirement.

To some people on the continent, it seemed as though the king had always been waiting for an excuse to unleash his armies.

      The empire and the kingdom met on the desert plains of Anan which formed a border between the empire and the kingdom.

The two armies fought for months in the sunny desert leaving the sand red and wet.

Human life became as cheap as the sand the armies stood.

In all this, the empire seemed to not be using its full might and so it quickly became the losing side. The kingdom was led by the king himself but the empire only sent a general, Although he was a great general, he was no king Ming.

The kingdom conquered the desert plains of Anan within a year and even matched into the territory of the empire conquering city after city.

When the kingdom reached the sixth city, Emperor Chu finally realized that he had awakened a beast he could not handle alone.

He sent requests for help from the other empires but these empires so no benefit in it intervening. To them, it seemed even more profitable to let the empire be crushed by the kingdom and then they would be able to quickly destroy the weakened kingdom and divide its new lands among themselves.

When no aid was given by these empires, Emperor Chu was not surprised, he would do the same in their position.

Emperor Chu met with King Ming the following week and the two had a private conversation whose details were not made public.

The following day, King Ming declared an end to his conquest surprising everyone.

As for the empire, the emperor declared the end of the war and also the betrothal of Princess Chu to Prince Xerxes.

This news was unexpected and shocking for the continent, not just because of the age difference between the prince and the princess but also the difference in cultivation. Princess Chu was already a ninth-stage powerhouse while Prince Xerxes had only recently reached the fourth stage.

            Princess Chu was praised as the most beautiful woman in the South if not the whole continent. It was said that her body was that of a succubus, with curves in all the right places.

Her face was rumored to be that of a heavenly goddess with eyes that could capture a man's heart at first site. To top it all off she was the second princess of the Chu Empire, the overlord of the South.

The people knew that the Empire had 7 demigods and Princess Evelyn was one of these few powerhouses that held up the empire.

She was known as a cultivation genius reaching the demigod stage in just 30 years

An average cultivator could take about 100 years to reach the demigod stage.

She had many suitors but she rejected all of them and this was viewed by the masses as the proper way of things.

For the emperor to give such a decree, everyone could only guess what he was thinking. The scholars of the continent made some guesses but these were still just guesses.

They guessed that although the empire was powerful, it was too large and had enemies at every border. This stopped it from deploying its most powerful assets from key locations limiting its military might in its confrontation with the kingdom. The empire was at least eleven times the size of the kingdom.

By betrothing his only daughter to prince Xerxes, emperor Chu was trying to calm the king's rage and the king accepted the offer because he knew that this was the best outcome for both sides.

                                                                           7.BURIAL

 A collective sigh of relief could be heard all over the continent. The only people who were displeased by the premature end of the war were the war merchants. These people mainly dealt with weapons and army supplies. With war came profit, with peace came poverty.

No one seemed to care whether the two interested parties had given their consent or not, all they cared about was that the war was finally over. Even if they had to sacrifice the lifelong happiness of two people, peace was all that mattered in their eyes.

With the betrothal of Xerxes and Princess Chu, the war was over and the continent moved on except for those in positions of power. These few individuals could see that if an alliance were to be formed between the Great Ming and the Chu Empire, a power strong enough to conquer the continent may be formed. They could not let this happen for it meant destruction for their empires.

      Back to the present. prince Xerxes' body lay in a majestic coffin atop a mountain surrounded by people in mourning clothes. On this cloudy day, the only prince and heir of Great Ming was being put to rest having lived for just sixteen years.

The heavenly genius Xerxes had been assassinated and died from his injuries having accomplished nothing more than a commoner. In the history books, he would probably be written as nothing more than a footnote.

                The king in endless fury had sentenced all the implicated officials to death so that they could accompany his son on the way to Naraka.

All officials who were in communication with foreign powers were sentenced to death without exceptions.

Xerxes' white coffin lay on a magnificent altar at the mountain top and beside the altar, an execution alter had been constructed in a rush.

The officials to be executed were bound tightly and made to kneel on the execution alter.

Behind each kneeling official stood an executioner holding a long sharp heavy blade ready to behead the officials at the king's signal.

Cries for mercy could be heard from the officials but no one paid them any mind.

At this moment, anyone who spoke up for the officials could end up right next to them.

    As all this was going on, in the void between realms, in this absolute darkness, a transparent but hazy figure could be heard muttering to itself.  "The heavenly dao will not give me any chance for a comeback, not after the last war for heaven. But it doesn't matter, I will be supreme, with my new plan, I will not need heaven's permission for anything, I will simply take all while giving nothing back."

Hahahahahhwahhahah___--- evil laughter rang out in the void causing even the darkness to shake as though waves of water, the figure's power was unbelievable.

.As the figure laughed menacingly with no end in sight, he suddenly stopped laughing as though remembering something extremely important.

"fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck you heavens, I should have realized that it wouldn't be that simple, only now do I remember that for me to re-enter the world, I will need a body whose destiny is that of pure light and pure darkness with a physique to match. This will no doubt take countless epochs, fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck."

As it continued profaning the heavens, the walls of the universe closest to the void suddenly cracked. The cracking sound was no different from thunder ringing in this vast darkness.

" Ha, what is it now " When he gazed upon the wall, he quickly lost interest and looked away.

"Another universe at its end, how long have I been in the void, does it even matter, does anyone still remember, the all-powerful being who dared oppose heaven, does anyone still remember my handsome self, what happened to my wives and concubines "

This thing in the void did not care that the world was about to come to an end.

                                                     8.POSSESSION

Suddenly, the being opened its gigantic eyes,

darkness dispersed, and two beams of light came from the eyes and penetrated the wall of the universe.

The beams searched everything living or dead, past and present in the universe.

"Hahahaha the heavens are helping me, a body with my required specifications, wait how, there is no way the heavens would help me unless the heavens are truly blind as stated by some of those useless individuals who blame the heavens for everything wrong in their lives."

"Whatever, I must have this body no matter the cost, I just need to fix this universe by buying it a few more epochs. "

The being raised its hand and a beam of energy darker than the darkness in the void came out and landed on the wall, before long, the cracks in the wall started fixing themselves. After some time, the walls were crack free and seemed stronger than before.

The being then looked into the void and sighed as if he didn't have any desire to leave.

The being turned into a beam of light that penetrated the wall entering the universe, its speed was akin to teleportation as it immediately arrived next to Xerxes' dead body and entered it

                                                       9.RETURN

  The universe rambled in what could only be anger, thunder was heard and lightning flashed as if the end of the world had finally arrived except that this ending, according to all appearances did seem to have a promised land but only destruction for all.

Xerxes' body opened its eyes with some effort.

"It seems that I am in darkness again"

After some time, it saw light, and gradually, blurry images started appearing and with time, they became clearer.

The world went back to normal as if nothing had happened. Everyone looked at the coffin with wide eyes.

They had seen a beam of light landing on the body of the prince followed by a world-ending scene as if the world was against what was about to happen next.

Before long, everyone saw the prince's body open its eyes.

Fear crept into the hearts of all present.

Rumors of undead beings walking the world had already spread far and wide but were dismissed as tales made up by housewives to scare their delinquent adolescents into walking the straight and narrow.

In this silence, the prince's body calmly and gracefully got up and departed the coffin.

" hahahahahahaha. finally, I am back to the world of the living, from today onwards all mortals shall kowtow and immortals shall bow in my presence. hahaha hahaha"

As 'Prince Xerxes 'went on with his egotistic tirade, all looked at him in disbelief.

After praising itself thoroughly, the being came to its senses and suddenly stopped talking about what some may consider nonsense.

" I must calm myself, right now am in a body with almost no cultivation, any idiot with a kitchen knife can do me in wasting this golden opportunity for me. I must act as this body's former host so that I can be accepted by these lower life forms. I clearly remember that most of the weak beings act out of fear, they simply kill everything they don't understand."

Clearing his voice, the being said " I have been reborn by the grace of a powerful being who happened to be passing by and when he saw a young and talented individual such as myself being put in a grave at just six years old, he could not stand for such injustice and brought me back from the dead "

Everyone was dumbfounded, the king was frozen for some time then the tears started slowly rolling down his face.

"My son is back, he is back, he is truly blessed by heaven. All sentenced to death will be imprisoned to receive final judgment at a later date."

                                                                    10.PROMISE

   In a secure chamber inside the Ming royal palace.

King Ming looked at Xerxes who was sited opposite him.

The king closely examined the prince for a long time then he suddenly spoke, " Who are you and what have you done with my son? you have 89 breaths to explain. After that, I will make my decision."

Xerxes looked at the king as if finally meeting the real man for the first time.

Xerxes suddenly put on a serious face and said " I had hoped that nobody would notice the small differences but as stated by the proclaimed sages, a parent always knows these things. Yes, I am not your son, his soul has long departed this dimension. I have temporarily possessed this body to come back to life. In my current state am no different from the walking dead. "

" Now, before making your decision, you should know that am immortal, you can destroy this body in an attempt to kill me but all you will do is delay my return, and my immortal soul will live on. ," After some time, a translucent film of energy  surrounded both of them ." Quickly, Xerxes said his oath and as first as the energy appeared, it disappeared.

" I will surely fulfill my oath to you, this I promise," said Xerxes.

                                                                        11.PREPARATIONS

     The following day, news of the prince's resurrection spread throughout the Ming kingdom and beyond. All individuals heard of this apparent miracle from the measly mortal to mighty demigods in their ancient cultivation caves.

King Ming didn't try to suppress this information because he as a ruler of hundreds of years understood that information of this magnitude could not be suppressed forever since the truth always finds a way to get out. All one can do is find ways to obtain maximum benefits in all situations.

King Ming spread the information using his kingdom's entire information network.

He made alterations to the story spread.

Instead of the prince resurrecting from his coffin, it was spread that he was in his chambers. This was to reduce the people's fear of the unknown. People's fear of death was ingrained in their very being and this fear needed careful handling.

He also made sure that all heard about the fake story of Xerxes first told about him being saved by a powerful master who subsequently took Xerxes as his disciple.

This was meant to buy Xerxes sometime as he had requested King Ming buy to find a way for him to handle some matters without any interruptions.

As. the story spread, it gained wind and started evolving. Some mortals even came up with a version that claimed that the prince was so blessed even death didn't dare take him into its domain so it had to bring him back to the land of the living.

All the versions which spread could fool mortals and weak cultivators but powerful cultivators understood that something was being hidden from them. The only reason they hadn't stormed the Ming royal palace to demand answers was their fear of the mysterious master who could even defy the absoluteness of death.

In the cultivation chamber of Princess Evelyn, Emperor Chu informed his daughter of what was going on. She quietly listened to the emperor. After he was done, she slowly opened her eyes and to the emperor's surprise, she replied with a single sentence. "I will go meet him in 7 years' time ."

She then closed her eyes going back to her cultivation.

As the continent was being turned upside down by the prince's resurrection, the protagonist of the many stories was in a cultivation chamber inside the royal palace unconcerned by whatever may be happening outside the chamber.

Xerxes was sited in the center of the chamber looking dazed.

"I made many preparations for after re-entering the world but I may have underestimated the time necessary to carry them out and the speed required. There was no time in the void so after some time, I also forgot about the concept of time itself to the point that I neglected to account for it in my plans. According to my new calculations I have about 80 years before the heavens discover my intrusion and force me out again or worse it may have discovered a way to kill me after all this time. I need to accelerate my plans, they may not be Carried out to perfection but I have no other choice. " Xerxes dazedly muttered to himself.

                                                           12.BEGINING

    "First things first, I need to improve the king's cultivation technique as promised, if I had more time I could simply use the many different ways to break the oath but I can't afford to waste time breaking the oath when I can simply carry out things as promised. This will also help me reduce my karmic debt besides, being a prince will give me the stability necessary for my plans."

Xerxes muttered to himself as he got a scroll from a bag laying beside him.

He opened the scroll and carefully read its content.

The scroll contained King Ming's cultivation technique 'pure flame manual '.The technique aimed to achieve control over all fire energies but it was nothing more than a mortal cultivation technique, its grasp on fire control was rudimentary at best and outright laughable at worst.

The manual claimed that for one to achieve control over fire, one must become fire itself. The cultivator achieved this by absorbing fire energies into his body to temper so that it gradually becomes used to the energies.

" Hmmm, not a bad idea but it is too harmful to the weak human body, it would be more suitable for fire-attributed beasts. fixing it so that it suits humans will take about a quarter a day."

Xerxes continued scrutinizing the technique while fixing its flows. After some time, he finished fixing the flow of the technique. He then proceeded to add on the technique so that it can enable one to reach at least the soul ascension realm.

He made it to reach only the soul ascension realm because he believed that it was more than enough to fulfill his promise.

Xerxes then sent out a message using his soul power. The message was to inform the king to pick his cultivation technique from in front of the door to the cultivation chamber and to also inform him that no one was to come near the chamber for at least five years.

Xerxes after ensuring that he will have some peace, went on to put up sealing, defense, concealment, and bewildering formations in the chamber.

Xerxes then sat in a meditation position to start his seclusion.

"Now, the most urgent matter is my soul. This body is too weak to contain my soul, if I don't deal with this issue right now, this body will explode within five months. The only solution now is to seal about 99.6% of my soul. This will limit the techniques I can use and most of my memories will be sealed, sigh resurrection is no easy thing to achieve especially if one is as powerful as me."

" The only technique that can seal my soul is the nether sealing technique which I created long ago to seal the nether domain, it will take at least four months to finish ."

After carefully thinking through the entire plan, he started sealing his soul.

The chamber became extremely quiet.

After about one month, screams of tremendous pain could be heard from the chamber. This went on for months then the screams gradually stopped.

                                                                            13.UNDESIRED

   Inside the chamber, Xerxes sat still for over a day before slowly opening his eyes.

His eyes were blood red as if he had been crying for months.

" Well, this is shameful, a being such as myself, screaming like a little girl for months on end,____not that there is anything wrong with little girls but still, I truly hope nobody heard my screams sigh What was I expecting if not at least pain beyond comprehension, I was, after all sealing the only immortal soul in the multiverse, am lucky to have survived with just a little pain."

Xerxes got up from his meditation position and left the chamber. He headed straight to his bed chamber where he had a bath and ate his first meal since escaping into the void. The food had no taste since he was technically an undead.

After the disappointing meal, he headed back straight to the cultivation chamber with the resolve to complete his resurrection.

Inside his fortified cultivation chamber once more, Xerxes sat alone with his thoughts.

"Before making any attempt at cultivation, I must alter my life essence otherwise the heavens will sense me and that will be the end of my journey to supremacy. Although I have sealed most of the data I got when I scanned this world, l kept all data that can aid me in my cultivation. The problem is that on this continent, there are no demon beasts yet these beasts are at the core of my plan to restructure my essence. The only thing closest to fulfilling my desired criteria is a level-one wolf. Although wolves have been known to cultivate to become extremely powerful even enabling the formation of a mighty clan in the heavenly domain, their bloodline is still not powerful enough to reach the apex. My plan revolved around me restructuring my essence with the bloodline of one of the god or devil beasts. The option I have now is the wolf bloodline, I have no choice but to take my chances with this undesired bloodline. "

                                                             14.ALCHEMY

   My cultivation is not enough to face a first-level demonic beast. How the mighty have fallen. I could ask the king to get it for me but I cannot risk anyone having even a hint on my plans."

" The only viable solution for now is alchemy. A level one poison pill should be enough to incapacitate the beast. The pill should not be too powerful as that may damage the bloodline. Although I have almost no cultivation, I should be able to make a level one pill based on the strength of my soul. "

Xerxes once again left the chamber. He moved at a fast pace until he reached a palace maid.

She looked young, about 20 to 25 compared to Xerxes, she was older. She had a fair face with bright eyes Her body had curves in all the right places. Xerxes looked at her with desire in his eyes, it had been a long time since he last had any sexual encounters.

His gaze made the maid blush and then immediately look away in shame for actually blushing due to such a young boy.

  " What is your name miss," Xerxes asked in his most mature voice.

The maid blushed again before replying " I am  Lui, your highness"

Xerxes continued looking at her not even trying to hide his desire. "Beautiful name, Miss Lui head out and bring these materials to my cultivation chamber."

" I will be waiting for you" He then headed back to his cultivation chamber.

The maid stood there frozen for some time before coming back to her senses and rushing off to get the materials for the prince.

Inside the chamber, Xerxes sat down trying to calm himself. After some time, he finally started thinking about alchemy to remind himself of the basics necessary to refine the qi suppression pill.

This pill was a level one pill that most stage one alchemists can refine with little difficulty.

Pills and all other alchemical products can be separated into levels from level one to level nine. Beyond level nine is the domain of divine alchemy which can not be practiced in a lower world.

Each level corresponds to an alchemist's stage.

Although Xerxes was even beyond divine alchemists in his glorious past, that was now past, he would need to comprehend the alchemic dao again from scratch because there are no such things as coming back to life with past comprehension of the laws of the universe. If that were possible, there would be countless powerful beings since most souls are just reincarnated and some of these are cultivators in their past lives.

Now if all these individuals are reincarnated with their comprehension of laws in their memories, it would be easy for them to simply take some divine pills and remember memories of their past thus immediately becoming as powerful as they were in their past lives.

                                                        15.LUI

   As Xerxes was still contemplating heaven ingenious, someone knocked on the door pulling him from his thoughts.

He moved to the door and opened it.

He was not surprised to find that it was the maid Lui before the door.

He let her in and then closed the door.

The sound of the lock startled the maid making her jump a little. She looked at Xerxes with her bright eyes filled with confusion.

"Prince Xerxes, I have brought your requested materials, please have a look" She spoke with a soft voice which further fueled Xerxes' desire to have her.

He took the bag containing the materials and put it aside.

"Come, have a seat first," Xerxes told her while guiding her to a comfortable large chair.

Once she was seated, he moved to sit in the chair opposite her.

" Miss Lui, how long have you worked in the palace?" asked Xerxes with a compelling voice.

"Not long your highness, just five years" she replied without delay.

She looked around the chamber as if searching for something.

On seeing her behavior, Xerxes couldn't help himself but chuckle.

He spoke to her for some time getting more and more information about her and the Eden continent including its myths and legends.

As it turned out, she was the third daughter of the minister of finance. She had been sent to the palace as a maid by her father in hopes that she could find an opportunity to marry into the royal family.

Little by little, she became more comfortable talking with Xerxes as though they had been the closest of friends for years.

Xerxes, as a man with more than enough experience, understood that their relationship had moved up in level of intimacy. Without making any noise, he moved from his seat and sat with her on her seat.

She continued talking about herself as though nothing had happened. Before long, Xerxes was near her. She turned her face and looked at him with her eyes shaking in fear and anticipation. Xerxes and Lui locked eyes for a short moment which seemed like an eternity.

Xerxes moved in and locked their lips in a kiss.

He sensed that she was inexperienced and seemed to be unsure whether what she was doing was what she wanted.

Xerxes used his tongue to try and pry her lips open. She put up some resistance at first but then she gave in and opened her lips.

Xerxes immediately sent his tongue into her mouth and started to explore. Their tongues became intertwined in a battle as their kiss became more heated.

Xerxes'hands began exploring Lui's body, he used one hand to fondle her breasts while the other started undressing her.

Lui started moaning and before long, her moans filled the entire room.

After some time, Lui was completely naked. Xerxes lifted her and moved to the bed in the chamber, he looked at her, admiring her curves and undeniable beauty.  She meekly tried to cover her body with her hand but little to nothing was hidden.

                                                                   16.SETTING OFF

         Xerxes moved to the bed and slowly removed her hands. He kissed her gently, then with increasing passion, his clothes swiftly came off his body showing his experience in the matter.

After some time, Lui could no longer suppress her desires and become more proactive, grabbing Xerxes everywhere while appreciating his masculine physique.

Xerxes slowly separated her legs before pointing his penis at her vagina. He looked at her before thrusting forward in a single powerful motion. He felt some resistance which was immediately broken through.

Lui shook with pain and tears rolled down her face.

Xerxes stopped moving and Kissed her passionately. He kissed away her tears while caressing her breast and fondling her plump firm ass.

Lui slowly nodded her head indicating her acceptance ." I will be going away for about five years, before leaving for cultivation I will inform my father of you being my woman, I will give you a proper status when I come back." She again just nodded her head.

Okay, I will leave you a gift before leaving.

The following day, Xerxes entered a brief seclusion and made a new cultivation technique for Lui. Although he did not have enough time, he made the technique ensuring that it would let her reach the semi-stage without any issues.

After leaving seclusion, he gave Lui the technique and a letter for King Ming who was still in secluded cultivation trying to break through to the qi gathering stage. The letter explained to him about Lui and Xerxes' leaving the palace to go for cultivation outside.

He then left the palace and headed to the endless forest a few kilometers from the royal capital.

                                                                  17.ENDLESS FOREST

 On the road headed towards the Endless Forest, a carriage bearing the crest of the royal Ming family moved as fast as possible.

Nobody dared stop it for whatever possible reason even the patrolling army officers gave it free rein over the roads. All other passengers ahead of it moved to the side for it to pass.

This was of course Xerxes' carriage.

He opened a window on the carriage and saw what was going on.

"Only fools would not use their family power to get a smooth path in life. This will also help me avoid having useless fights with pampered young masters ."

Xerxes closed the window and went back to his meditation in preparation for capturing the wolf.

Stage one demonic beasts were equivalent to demigods. The only chance he had was by using poison. Many people, cultivators, and mortals thought that poison was a dishonorable method but for Xerxes, anything that could aid his plans was honorable.

Before long, the carriage came to a stop and Xerxes got out.

He looked at the forest in front of him for a long time before bursting out in laughter.

He laughed for some time then started to mutter to himself in a language foreign to the Eden continent.

" I can not believe this is what is being referred to as the Endless Forest, although I don't know how large it is, I know that this is just a small patch of woods, it is interesting that this forest has the same name as the true  Endless forest in the devil domain."

As Xerxes went on with his muttering, the carriage driver was sweating bullets while looking at Xerxes as though he had finally gone insane. "This kid wants to enter the Endless Forest at his young age and as if I sense no cultivation from him. As the one who drove him here, am sure to be beheaded by the ruthless King Ming" he thought as he started coming up with ways to convince the brat to go home and suckle his mother's tits instead.

"Don't worry, I will be back here in five years so you won't be punished by the King as long as I don't die "said Xerxes to the driver as if he had read his mind.

The carriage driver was stunned for a moment and couldn't find a suitable reply to the words of the arrogant selfish brat.

Before he could come to his senses, Xerxes had already run into the forest.

When Xerxes had run a few meters into the forest, he slowed down and started moving while carefully observing his surroundings.

He knew the location of the wolf so all he had to do was move toward it without being killed by other wild animals.

The forest had only a single demonic beast and all the other creatures were still just beasts. For an animal to evolve into a demonic beast, it would have to absorb a large amount of qi for its body to become stronger but in a continent with such sparse qi, the wolf must have obtained an extremely lucky opportunity.

After a demonic beast evolves, its intelligence increases drastically to the point of there being no difference in its level of intellect compared to any other average creature, humanoids included.

Xerxes knowing that the wolf was as intelligent as any human, moved slowly towards its territory avoiding all areas where his soul sense picked up any presence human or beast.

After six months of walking, he finally entered the wolf's territory.

                                                                                    18.THE HUNT

  On entering the wolf territory, Xerxes increased his vigilance to its peak.

He moved with skills that could put any experienced thief's skills to shame.

He suppressed his aura and smell using his soul force.

He didn't have to worry about his heartbeat and breathing sounds since he was no different from the undead in those regards.

After about 500 breaths, he spotted a cave entrance.

This was the location in which he sensed the wolf when he was scanning the world.

He hid in a nearby bush and started watching the entrance to the cave.

He watched until night when finally he saw the wolf come from its cave.

It was the size of a large dog with white fur.

Its eyes were yellow and it had dark claws.

It left its cave and came back close to dawn.

He continued watching it for days taking note of its behavior patterns. After seven months of continued watching, he left the area and found a secluded area. He sent out his soul sense and scanned for a place he could use for seclusion.

He found a cave occupied by a wild boar which he quickly killed by destroying its soul.

Although it had cultivated, its soul was still very weak compared to Xerxes.

He threw out the corpse and cleaned up the cave.

He then set up formations around the cave.

" After months of watching the wolf, the only opportunity for me to defeat it is by poisoning its drinking water. I will need to refine more pills than originally planned but good thing I brought more than enough materials for this exact reason."Xerxes thought to himself.

He opened his bag and poured out its content.

There were a variety of herbs and a small cauldron.

He then started refining the pills.

He used his soul sense to suspend the cauldron in the air and then used a simple technique to create a small fire under it.

Once the cauldron was properly heated up, he started putting the alchemy materials into the cauldron.

He used a different method to purify each material and this required a high level of control over the fire.

After purifying the materials, he proceeded to combine the purified substances in a specific order. After combining the substances, he finally condensed them into a pill.

He picked up the pill and looked at it with disappointment.

"Sigh, this is not unexpected but still painful to see, one who was called an alchemy god by the masses is now refining inferior-grade pills, level one pills no less". He muttered to himself.

He put the pill aside and proceeded to refine another pill.

                                                                       19.TARGET ACQUIRED

   Xerxes refined one pill after another. After one week, all the pills were of inferior grade but no more failures occurred. After another three weeks of continuous refinement, all pills formed were now middle grade and he started forming multiple pills in a single batch of refinement.

Xerxes still felt that this was not good enough so he continued his relentless refinement.

After six months, Xerxes held a pill in his hand, he looked at it with a sense of achievement in his eyes. It was a superior-grade pill.

He sat in the cave quiet with his thoughts as his only companions.

He then just put the pill with all the other hundreds of pills in the corner of the cave.

He then prepared his cauldron to continue refining. His earlier sense of achievement was nowhere to be seen.

After another six months, Xerxes again held a pill in his hands.

This time, it was a supreme-grade pill but instead of happiness, he just sighed in defeat. "Without reaching the qi refinement realm, this is the best I can do while just using my soul power, there is no way for me to refine legendary-grade pills without any cultivation and over 99% of my soul sealed." Xerxes thought to himself inwardly.

He put the pill with the other and then continued refining the pills.

In one month, he had one hundred supreme-grade pills.

He then collapsed from exhaustion. He slept for three days and nights.

When he woke up, he moved as if possessed.

" Although I have no time limit on my plans, weakness is unacceptable, I must solve my issues and start cultivation "

He put all the supreme pills in his bag and also a few superior-grade pills and headed straight to the pond of water used by the wolf.

When he reached the place, he first observed the pond for some time ensuring that there was nothing that could disrupt his plan.

He then poured all the pills into the pond.

The pills slowly disinterested in the water and before long, none could be seen.

Xerxes had chosen to refine the qi suppression pills because they had no smell or color once dissolved in water to the extent that even some weak cultivators in the qi refinement realm could not detect the poison.

Xerxes then went back to his hiding place and waited for the wolf.

After three days of waiting, the wolf was nowhere to be seen. He even started doubting whether he was in the correct location.

As Xerxes was doubting himself, his soul sense finally picked up the presence of the wolf approaching the pond.

He remained perfectly still while taking all precautions to avoid being sensed.

The wolf came into his view before long and nothing much had changed about its cultivation, beasts generally cultivated at a very slow speed taking thousands of years so he wasn't surprised that a few years were not enough for the wolf to increase its cultivation.

The wolf moved lazily towards the pond indicating that all its instincts had become dull after all the time it had spent without any enemies since it had the highest cultivation in the entire endless forest and the humans generally avoided the forest leaving it as the domain of the wolf king.

The wolf, without any precautions, started drinking from the pond.

After it felt that its thirst was sated, it walked away without any worries.

Xerxes was not surprised that it did not immediately collapse. The qi suppression poison was a slow-acting poison. It slowly suppresses one qi and over time, one's access to his or her cultivation becomes difficult to achieve and soon, one would completely become unable to access their cultivation.

Xerxes patiently watched the wolf drink the water for three days in a row and on the fourth day, after drinking the water, the wolf started staggering and fell soon afternoon.

"This is my chance" shouting out in a rough voice, Xerxes jumped out of his hiding place holding a small sword he had brought from the palace.

He swung the sword while still in midair trying to cut off one of the wolf's legs.

The wolf looked at the sword coming down to cut it and snarled. It tried to use its qi to send an attack towards the disrespectful creature but it discovered that it could not use its qi.

When Xerxes saw the panic and bewilderment in the wolf's eyes, he brought down the sword even faster.

The sword although just a mortal instrument, sliced the leg cleanly off. The wolf screamed in pain and anger. It used all its bodily strength to pounce at Xerxes with its mouth wide open, its sharp teeth glittering from the moonlight.

It closed its mouth over Xerxes' left arm, its teeth piercing muscle and flesh. Although Xerxes was akin to an undead, he still had some feelings such as pain and pleasure.

He resisted screaming out in pain and instead grabbed the wolf maw holding it in place.

He then proceeded to use his knife to cut off another leg.

The wolf in anger and now fear, bit down harder. Xerxes looked at it with pity.

"No matter what you do now, I have you, you will pass out from blood loss long before me this is one of the benefits of having an extremely low blood pressure as something between death and life," Xerxes spoke to the wolf without any panic or fear.

They both looked into each other's eyes as if understanding each other. "Don't worry I am not going to eat or desecrate your body as the humans do, I am going to make you apart me "Xerxes said to the wolf.

It looked at him longer than if understanding him on a personal level, it loosened its teeth letting his arm free.

The wolf then fell to the ground, bleeding out at a seemingly slower rate. Before long, its eyes started closing. When its eyes shut, Xerxes immediately got up and a  large sphere of blood suddenly appeared before him.

                                                       20.PLAN IMPLEMENTED

      The blood sphere had waves moving on it. It seemed red yet not.

"This is the culmination of my experiments over the entirety of my long life. I experimented on so many beings that I lost count, all to create a suitable bloodline for my dao. Although finishing it by using a mere wolf bloodline is a bit shameful, I designed this bloodline so that it can acquire the best part of any bloodline and discard its flows." Xerxes thought to himself inwardly with a face of reluctance.

"It would be better to use a god or devil beast bloodline but am in no position to be choosey".

Xerxes then made some complex hand signs while speaking out obscure incantations.

Tendrils of blood moved from the sphere and moved toward the dying wolf.

When the tendrils reached the wolf, they easily penetrated its body and entered its heart.

Movements appeared on the tendrils as if something was being sucked out of the wolf.

The size of the wolf quickly reduced and before long, only a skin was left on the ground.

The tendrils returned to the sphere and it became still.

Xerxes looked at it for some time, carefully observing it from multiple directions.

The sphere then began trembling as if it was to fall apart at any moment.

Suddenly, it started solidifying as if frozen. After it became solid, its size started reducing, originally, it was the size of a baby's head. It reduced until it was the size of a bean. Xerxes grabbed it as it started falling toward the ground. He looked at it for a moment before swallowing it without any hesitation.

He then started running at his fastest speed back to his cave.

As dawn was approaching, he reached his cave which he promptly entered and engaged the formations.

Xerxes immediately sat in a meditation position and closed his eyes.

He sat like that for a few days without anything happening, but after a whole week, he started feeling as though his body was on fire.

His skin started falling as though it were melting.

When his skin had entirely fallen to the floor, his flesh also started falling off followed by his eyes and brain.

Then his skeleton followed. He became nothing but a disgusting pile of flesh that looked as though it was on fire with steam coming from it.

His remains started coming together and after two whole weeks, a cocoon was all that was left on the floor.

The cocoon was bright red and it pulsated as though incubating a creature unlike any other.

                                                                     21.PRINCESS CHU VISITS

      A royal procession approached the Ming royal capital. It was compromised by hundreds of soldiers who looked battle tested. Their bloodlust was visible for all to see.

The residents of the capital stood by the sides and observed the carriage in the center of the procession with wonder mixed with a little fear.

"Father, that carriage has the crest of the Chu imperial family, is the Chu emperor visiting our kingdom?" asked an innocent-looking girl to her father who was standing with her in the slowly gathering crowd.

"No, it is most definitely not the emperor visiting but without a doubt, it must be a member of the royal family of Chu, no one else would dare use that crest and the emperor would have to send prior notification to the Ming royal palace before visiting, since ai have not heard of any notice from the empire, it can not be the emperor." replied the man to his daughter in a loving soft voice.

This man was a captain in the palace guard unit, his name was Yi Chen.

The little girl believing her father just nodded her head. She was just 13 years old but she knew that her father's job enabled him to have access to such information.

The procession moved quickly and soon it reached the gates of the capital. The gates looked magnificent and gave off an imposing aura but this was suppressed by the bloodlust given off by the soldiers escorting the carriage.

A stun-looking woman moved out of the carriage and headed toward the gate guards. She was dressed in a military uniform which gave all the males and some females in the crowd fanciful thoughts.

The uniform was perfectly fitted to her body clearly showing off all her magnificent curves.

She was properly endowed in all the right places. Her shirt could almost not contain her generous breasts and as she moved, her breasts swayed tantalizingly.

She was dressed in a pure white dress that showed off her figure in a manner that was very different from that of her female soldier. All the palace officials who had come out to welcome her were mesmerized and could not speak a single word.

This beauty was Evelyn Chu, imperial princess of the Chu Empire and the female soldier was her guard Mei Wang.

    Amid the silence that ensued, an old-looking man with a white beard moved forward with composure.

"Your highness princess Chu, you are most welcome to our Ming kingdom, I am prime minister Yan Huang, please come with me," he spoke without any pause indicating his wide range of experience. He did not even stutter due to the beauty of the two women or the bloodlust of the soldiers.

He moved towards the palace and the two women followed him.

                                                      22.STAYING

    Inside the palace. the two women were led to a luxurious chamber for receiving important guests.

When they had finally set down, maids brought refreshments and promptly left.

"Your Highness, how may I inquire as to the reasons for your visit?" asked the prime minister in an official voice.

Princess Chu picked up a cup of tea, took a sip then unhurriedly replied. "I have come to visit my fiance, where might he be!"

"As my fiance, he should have been the one to welcome me today as this is our first meeting, or is it that he does not have any desire to meet me?"

The princess' voice was filled with displeasure at being welcomed by the prime minister instead of Xerxes.

The prime minister, as an individual who has served the royal family for such a long time as to have even risen to the post of prime minister, was not flustered by the princess. "Your Highness, you may not know not know this but both his majesty King Ming and his highness prince Xerxes entered secluded cultivation about six years ago and have yet to come out. " he unhurriedly replied while also picking up a cup of tea.

"Is that so, then I will wait here for years if necessary for them to come out." Princess Chu also gave an unexpected response.

The prime minister was taken aback "Your Highness, although you are engaged to the prince, you are not yet married, it would be inappropriate for you to stay here for such a long time."

" There is nothing inappropriate about it, if he is to be my husband, I will have to find out everything about him unless you are trying to chase me away to hide something," she replied in a voice that have no room for refusal.

" No, of course not your Highness, if you have truly decided to stay here, then you are more than welcome. " prime minister Huang replied shortly.

Mei Wang was just seated sipping tea while smiling at their interaction.

Just like that, Princess Chu started living in the Ming royal palace.

                                      23.AWAKENING AND ANALYSIS

     As the princess was slowly sifting through Xerxes' life trying to find out why the divination would have led her to him, the cocoon in the cave continued pulsating at a gradually increasing interval.

The situation in the cave went on unchanged for five more years until one day when the cocoon suddenly became still.

Boom, suddenly, the cocoon exploded with an ear-shattering sound. The cave and its surroundings were blown away leaving a naked body lying down in the center of the explosion.

The body slowly opened its eyes after some time. This was, of course, Xerxes.

He stood up and looked around then paid no mind to the damage caused by the explosion.

He started examining his body with a keen gaze.

"When I first took over the Ming boy's body, it quickly grew making me look as though I was in my early twenties. This was probably why I was able to seduce and bed Lui, she must have forgotten that this body's owner was supposed to be around six years old, without that confusion, I don't see any situation where Lui could have accepted the advances of a six-year-old, but she must have realized the age difference after some time, I wonder how she is now. I had planned to return to the capital in just five years but it has been fifteen years since I left. "Xerxes thought to himself before completely dismissing this useless thought and focusing on his body.

" I have to admit, my new body is impressive even by my standards, it is muscular in the right proportions, I am now six feet tall and my penis is the size to impress any woman and depress all males with feelings of inferiority. My eye color has also changed to yellow. Although I knew that this body would be impressive, I never expected to complete my masterpiece with a wolf bloodline, and this can no longer be changed, I can add on this bloodline but my very core will always be wolfish. It seems that from the human bloodline, flexibility of mind and humanoid form have been added to the wolf bloodline. Humans are known to have some of the most flexible minds enabling them to be some of the greatest scummers and lairs in the multiverse, this seemingly ordinary ability that most creatures overlook and consider disgraceful has enabled humans to conquer large a large portion of the multiverse surpassing even the dragon clans.

As for the humanoid form, my subconscious thoughts and desires must have been manifested and considered in the evolution of the wolf bloodline. My desire to have a humanoid form is of course to better fit into my current society and not to mention that I have a thing for human females. "Xerxes continued to analyze his body.

                                                      24.CONTINENT STIRRED

 "Since I used the wolf bloodline for my core, none of its characteristics have been discarded but with time, these characteristics even the undesired will be altered with an increase in cultivation to the point that they will become useful enough to become desired. "

While muttering to himself, Xerxes continued analyzing his body.

He did not notice the dark clouds slowly gathering above him.

The clouds were darker than coal and they started spreading out covering the entire Eden continent. Xerxes being the self-absorbed individual he was, did not even look up yet the spread of the clouds started from his location.

The situation was different for other people on the continent, in the capital of the Ming kingdom, Princess Evelyn was standing with her guard Mei Wang gazing at the darkness with solemnity.

The palace officials and ministers stood behind her as though in submissiveness.

This was a truly odd site as Princess Chu was a foreign princess.

The only individual who did not show any submissiveness was a female standing by the side of some of the officials and ministers. This female's beauty was not as profound as that of Princess Chu but she was a kingdom-toppling beauty. She stood with an aura of authority and power. This woman was Lui, her former nature of a meek maid was no were to be found, in the few years Xerxes had been gone, she had transformed herself into a force not to be dismissed in the whole continent. This was because she was able to cultivate at the fastest speed ever recorded on the continent, she was able to become a demigod in just five years after Xerxes left.

Most of the people gathered outside the palace looked at her but what attracted their attention most was her bulging belly.

Most people had heard of the pregnant maid in the palace but few believed the story.

She claimed that the father of the child was Prince Xerxes but everyone knew that Xerxes entered secluded cultivation at the tender age of six, how could he have bedded her and even gotten her pregnant? And most unbelievable, she let him do it, this was a point of disbelief and debate all over the continent. A six-year-old boy impregnates a maid in her twenties. But her claims were authenticated by a decree given by King Ming declaring her prince Xerxes 'concubine. This put an end to the rumors that she was telling lies but it also started rumors of the prolific, eccentric womanizer prince who impregnated a maid when he was still just six years old.

Everyone looked at the sky and waited for what may come next.

                                                                       25.SUCCESS

    As the occupants of the Chu royal palace were gazing at the sky, the situation was no different in the royal palaces of the other kingdoms but in the imperial palaces of the Yan, Chu, Han, and Zhou, the officials looked at the skies with a hint of understanding and amazement. 

In the Endless Forest, the individual who was causing all this chaos stemming from confusion and beliefs about how the world was to end was just seated in the clearing meditating as though nothing outside his understanding of his body was of concern.

When the clouds had finally covered the entire continent, and even some parts of the Deadman's Sea,  they stopped expanding and instead started becoming darker with time.

Then, everything became still as though time and space were frozen. All living beings on the continent heard their hearts skip a beat as if in dread of what was to happen next.

A bolt of lightning came out of the clouds at an impossible speed. Its thickness was tens of meters. It was dark blue with a touch of red on the edges. It came down on the continent and all who saw this scene instinctively understood that for some reason, the heavens had gazed down upon the continent and for some reason, the entire continent was judged guilty of a crime so despicable that the only recourse the heavens could give was annihilation of all things living and nonliving.

The mortals fell to their knees in horror, cultivators prepared their weapons for their last fight, and some, who thought their wills a match to that of the heavens jumped into the sky trying to meet the bolt and die on their terms.

As all this drama was going on, Xerxes finally opened his yellow eyes and gazed at the bolt descending on him.

He smirked then started his cultivation for the first time. The bolt fell directly on his head but instead of his body exploding or even becoming toast, the bolt entered his body and its energy signature disappeared from the world.

Xerxes furiously cultivated as the world got back to normal.

The cultivators. understood that they were still just little fish in very small ponds while the mortals bowed to the heavens and prayed to their gods.

A month passed and things on the continent were going back to normal but the lightning bolt was still the main topic of conversation in bars and restaurants.

Xerxes finally opened his eyes and stopped cultivating.

Hahahahahahaha ... hahhahahaha  Xerxes laughed boisterously with all his might.

"It works perfectly, I Xerxes am the greatest alchemist who ever lived, I have finally proved that I truly deserve the title of alchemy god, I still had some doubts but this new body of mine is proof that my greatest alchemical product, the body forging pill is a tremendous success."

                                                 26.QI GATHERING REALM

  I ensured that this body can accept, contain, absorb and assimilate all forms of energy, matter and all the laws of the universe. All energy implies that even energy contained in heavenly tribulations such as heavenly lightning and fire can be absorbed and assimilated for use in my cultivation. This is truly what stealing from the heavens means.

The heavens could never allow a creature with such an abnormal bloodline ability to exist and this explains why heavenly tribulation was sent down to try and eliminate me.

I have indeed benefited from this tribulation,I was able to cultivate from being a mortal to becoming a demigod in a single go.

This is truly impressive considering the tremendous amount of energy required for my cultivation. I designed my body such that the body, the soul and qi are one in the same , for one of these aspects to increase in cultivation, all three must increase at the same time . This implies that there is no difference between my soul, body and energy.

Some individuals in the universe may also be able to absorb and use all energies of the universe for their cultivation but I am very sure that I am the only being in the whole multiverse who can be considered a soul creature, a flesh creature and an energy being at the same time. This is because soul essence, flesh energy and qi in their pure forms are very volatile and combining them into a single form is impossible, some may claim to be cultivating all three at the same time but the energies are kept separate in their bodies but for me , the energies absorbed into my body are all combined into a single essence which has eluded cultivators since the beginning of the cultivation era  and as far back as the god era which is even older than the devil era.

Hahahaahaha the heavens felt that their need to immediately destroy me after just sensing that I could absorb all energies for my cultivation and that there was truly no difference between the three cultivation paths in my body I can't wait to see what it does when it discovers that my bloodline can evolve endlessly.

I should quickly break through to the qi refine realm and head back to the palace, I am already late by years.

My cultivation speed will only be limited by comprehension and bloodline evolution .

For now , my bloodline is able to let me reach at least the peak of soul ascension realm with out any issues. I only need to comprehend the heavens and as for my cultivation technique,

if my body forging pill is my greatest creation, my cultivation technique, the supremacy dao art is a close second.

It is the only technique I know if that is able to absorb soul energies,flesh energies and qi from the surroundings into the body at such tremendous speeds and then be able to use the resulting form of energy ,which  I of course named nether energy for cultivation.

And that is the least of the benefits of this technique.

Xerxes slowly got into a meditation position and started breaking through to the qi gathering realm.

After just a day ,he had completed his break through , becoming a stage one qi cultivator.

He opened his eyes and looked at his surroundings.Everthing seemed brighter and his body seemed lighter.

                                                                 27. DAO

   After looking around and inspecting all aspects, he smiled with joy. As created, my cultivation path can no longer be called that of a qi cultivator.

I created the supremacy dao art to have 9 ranks to reach the limit of the multiverse.

Each rank has 9 stages, I am currently in the first stage of Rank one, which makes my cultivation equal to that of a level one qi gathering realm cultivator.

He activated his technique and felt the nether energy flow throughout his entire being.

In his mind, he thought of himself and before long, his nails became claws, his ears started elongating, and his limbs began changing into an inhuman wolfish form. White hair quickly spread all over his body and his teeth seemed to become sharper with extremely sharp-looking canines.

The changes became more and more exaggerated until a wolf the size of a well-bred stallion was what was standing in the position where Xerxes had been. The wolf looked as though the stuff of folklore.

I am truly magnificent, although I used the wolf bloodline with reluctance, I feel as though this has always been my true nature.

Until now, I have been thinking of myself as a member of the Nether race but that is now thinking of the past, although one can still say that I am still one with the Nether race since the Nether bloodline was the secondary core and a mysterious bloodline I got from the. emptiness was the third core. Three bloodlines of opposing natures were required for me to complete my greatest alchemic refinement.

Xerxes in his true form, the wolf, looked at his surroundings with a new perspective and appreciation of nature, to a more mysterious level, Xerxes felt as though the world was pleased by his mere existence.

Suddenly, Xerxes broke into an instinctive run. He ran with all his might, his feet cracked every inch of ground they came into contact with. The ground seemed to be unable to support his weight. All the beasts in the Endless Forest just saw a blur and felt abnormal movements in the air.

Xerxes was headed straight out of the forest, although he was more than happy continuing his cultivation in the forest, Xerxes had a terrible flow and that was his utmost belief which even led him to walk down a path untrodden by no one else, this path was the supreme dao.

For a cultivator or any being seeking to claim heaven's energies and comprehend its laws to become more powerful than heaven decreed for that individual's race, the individual must have a dao, a core belief so strong that even the heavens can not suppress it. The stronger the dao, the further one can move down the road of cultivation. Most beings do not know what their dao is until late in life when they have experienced enough of the world to know what is and what isn't important to them. But Xerxes having experienced life for such a long period that calculating it became a bother to him, understood his dao long ago. His dao was the supreme dao.

Xerxes believes that he is the greatest of all time in all things he deems important to him.

He believes he is above all creatures living and dead. He believes that all the laws of the universe exist only to serve him.

He even believes that before long, the very heaven will have to submit to him or die.

These self-centered beliefs that most beings would even feel ashamed to even utter are what led Xerxes to develop his supreme dao.

                                                              28.BACK TO HUMAN SOCIETY

  With Xerxes' speed, it did not take long before he exited the forest. At the edge of the Endless Forest, he came to a stop and after looking around for any witnesses, he decided to transform into the human form after sensing no one in his immediate vicinity.

Slowly but surely, he started transforming, his ears became shorter, body hair started disappearing as though retracting into his body.

Before long, a man who looked to be in his early twenties was standing there looking at his body in fascination.

I am more handsome compared to that boy whose body I took over. The only thing left of him is his name and I plan to keep that since I have never had a proper name, nobody dared call me anything other than by my many different titles, but most creatures called me the Nether Emperor.

Xerxes started walking back to the capital while pondering his plans on the Eden continent now that he is the most powerful being on it and nothing can stop him.

As he walked, he continued having a feeling that he had forgotten something important, not to him but to society.

When Xerxes reached the first town on his way, everyone stopped what they were doing and looked at Xerxes. He just continued walking because, to him, this was the normal response all creatures should have when in his presence, they should bow down and look at him with utmost respect and wonder, but as he looked at the town's people, their eyes contained no respect, at least not the kind of respect he expected to find in them but contained a perverted kind of respect and wonder.

The men looked at him with anger,  self-pity and disappointment in themselves.

As for the women, their gazes were heated and their contained overwhelming desire.

As he looked at this oddity, he finally noticed that the parents were covering the eyes of their children and insisting that they don't open their eyes. At this point, Xerxes remembered that he was in a world of humans, and humans like putting on clothes out of something akin to shame, he looked at himself and of course, he was wearing nothing, he was completely naked and his manhood was on display for all.

He simply looked forward and continued walking as though nothing was wrong. He entered the town easily since it didn't even have guards.

In the town, he moved to a clothing store and when he entered, there was a mature woman who looked to be in her thirties behind the counter.

I turned to the carriage and told Ella, "Cover Diana's eyes,  it's time for a massacre !"

                                                       33.MASSACRE

  After making sure that Diana would see nothing, I turned from the carriage and started walking toward the smiling youth.

"Oh, you want to fight me," said the youth ." I am the fourth son of the assistant minister of agriculture and am also a second-level cultivator, as for you, I can not even sense the least cultivation on you, you are a mortal farmer, and yet you dare walk towards me with those threatening eyes." the youth went on with his monologue, describing how great his family is and how noble he was.

I sneered with disdain at the low caliber of guards the kingdom was using.

When he reached me, I put my hand on his shoulder, and with the most non-threatening voice I could muster, I asked him for the exact location of the residence of the assistant minister.

He quickly blurted out his answer and then started begging for his life.

I got so angry at his cowardice that I broke his neck immediately.

I called for another guard and amazingly, he walked toward me with composure.

"I am impressed with you, now for your earlier disrespect, I will forgive you with only a light punishment if you go and call the prime minister to welcome me, Prince Xerxes, back to the palace. I am going to deal with some things in the city but I will be back here in no more than fifty breaths."

With that, I jumped high above the gates into the city sky.

I floated there as the city dwellers looked at me with horror for they knew that even the demigods could not fly.

Although I couldn't fly as well, they did not have the breadth of mind to work that out immediately.

I floated in the sky scanning the city with a scrutinizing gaze. I soon found the minister's residence and I immediately stopped floating and started falling quickly.

I landed on a street packed with pedestrians.

When we arrived at the palace, even Ella was amazed by its sheer size and grandeur.

      Standing in front of the palace, two women of exquisite beauty and grace stood.

I moved from the carriage and order some servants to lead it away and put the belonging into rooms next to mine.

I finally looked clearly at the two women in front of me, it was Lui and some woman whom I did not recognize but whose beauty was on a completely different level to the rest of the women I had seen in this world.

All the officials waited for the drama to ensue but to their surprise, King Ming sat on the smaller throne next to the kingly one I was seated on.

Some of the officials were relieved while others were disappointed. I noted all who were disappointed before announcing King Ming's breakthrough to become a god.

King Ming just smiled but the rest of the people in attendance were shocked before falling to their knees in congratulations to the king.

"Ming, tomorrow, I want you to visit all the kingdoms in the South and subjugate them all. Kill all members of the royal families and bring me their heads. "

king Ming was startled by my words and the bloodlust oozing from me in waves.

" Kill all members of noble families as well. Kill all who oppose you and capture for me at least one million able-bodied men and women. "

At my words, all attendants began shivering but I paid them no mind.

" From today onwards, I am the new King, I am to be called King Xerxes. "

My words froze the court but Ming soon came to his senses and moved in front of me and bowed down proclaiming." Long Live The King"

                                                      38.THE REAL WAR BEGINS

The actions of the mad king and his ruthless general changed the atmosphere of the continent.

General Ming was overheard saying that after the South, the other regions were next. His words prompted kingdoms in all regions to tremble and the ones whose leaders were already on the brink finally cracked and surrendered unconditionally.

One day before the wedding, General Ming and what was left of his army returned to the capital.

Although some protested the war, now many were celebrating the victory after realizing the vast wealth and opportunities the war had brought to the kingdom.

The celebrations went on for the whole night.

I met with Ming in the morning and he gave a detailed report of his actions, even the gory details. I shook my head as he went on and on. It seemed as though he was trying to scare me with the tales of his barbaric acts.

I looked at him with amusement and when he saw no desired effect, he gave up and started giving his report more submissively.

For the rest of the day, everything went as expected. I married all three women and many of the smaller kingdoms surrendered with only the Chu empire surrendering.

I formally declared the formation of the Ming Empire.

I spent the night with Ella, Evelyn claimed that just because she had agreed to marry me didn't mean that she would sleep with me, and as for Lui, her pregnancy had to be considered

I called for a meeting at the war chamber the following day and declared war on the stubborn kingdoms and Empires.

I gathered the entire army comprising three million well-trained soldiers.

The army set off from the capital with me in the lead. Our goal, kill all who resist our rule and unite the continent.

                                                      39.SABER

Our match was unstoppable, we faced off against militaries both trained and useless.

The trained ones were a bit tougher but still no match for my might. I had prepared a  saber made by the greatest blacksmiths in the Ming Empire.

On the battlefield, I limited my power to be equivalent to the ninth level of the mortal realm.

I wielded my saber, fighting as though practicing. For true mastery of the saber to be achieved, one must use the saber in a real battle, unlike the sword and other weapons such as spears, practicing in seclusion can never lead one to the peak of the saber.

As I cut, slashed, blocked, and severed, I felt my heart pump faster with time.

My excitement grew with time as I started to enjoy the battle with my opponents. Although no one could face my saber for more than twenty strokes.

As I grew more proficient in the way the saber, my skills became more refined.

After two months of constant battle, none could survive ten strokes of my saber.

After another three months, all who faced me died of the first stroke.

The army marched on and I grew more proficient, I started facing multiple opponents.

The army's morale grew as they saw me cut down demigods as though they were children. Blood flowed on the battlefields forming rivers.

The continent was left in fear of the mighty Ming Empire, more kingdoms chose to surrender while others chose to join the Ming suppression force.

I paid them no mind, I was just using this war to practice my saber, reminding myself how I had reached the peak of the way of the saber as the Nether Emperor, none were my match. I used my saber to cut down sword emperors and spear monarchs, my might was unquestionable, and with my saber, I plowed through my enemies with ruthless intent and savagery befitting the ultimate saber wielder, but when some foolish human emperor tried to dub me the saber Emperor, I descended upon the human realm and decimated the Pangu capital, one of the greatest cities in the multiverse, my goal was to take the emperor's head but I was dissuaded by the human princess who was a close personal friend of mine, if not the only one and she explained to me that killing her father, the human emperor was a deal breaker, I let the incident end there as a favor to her and it was indeed an unprecedented favor since all in the multiverse knew that I never leave an enemy alive.

The emperor's plot was to tie me down with the endless karma attributed to the saber. This would have slowed down my cultivation of other laws. Although this would have increased my cultivation speed of the saber laws everyone knew that my strongest laws were not of the saber.

I cut through opponents on the battlefield until I became fed up with their weaknesses since my comprehension slowed down.

I just started dispatching them by any means necessary.

Before long, I was now faced with the strongest force yet. The Ming suppression force was in front of me led by the three emperors of the remaining empires.

                                                                   40.FINAL BATTLE

The three emperors, whose names I hadn't even bothered to remember moved forward and stood in front of their united force.

I moved towards them and then I sensed that they were in the qi gathering realm, stage one.

I looked at them in amusement and a little confusion.

"So, the reason you dare stand before me is because you broke through to become' gods'. "

In my words, my army was dispirited while the united army rejoiced.

The emperors smiled without any worry.

One of them started his useless monologue." When we heard that a snot-nosed brat like you had broken through and started threatening the world, we did our best and broke through so that we can put an end to your villainy. We have assembled our armies here today for the sake of justice. Surrender now and perhaps we may consider granting you a quick death. "

I just pulled out my saber and ran toward the three at an extreme speed. They also did not waste any time and pulled out their weapons before rushing to meet me in battle.

Two of them wielded swords while one wielded a spear. They brought their weapons down on me and I blocked with my saber. The momentum of our clash sounded throughout the battlefield causing some weak-willed soldiers to collapse. We clashed stroke by stroke and thrusts blocked by the blade.

They wanted to finish me off quickly but I wanted the battle to last longer.

Our speeds gradually increased. The three surrounded me showering me with attacks from all sides. I blocked all I could but some landed on me. One emperor cut my chest with his sword as I blocked the other sword wielder. At that moment, the spear user took the chance and pierced my leg, penetrating it.

I used my other leg and kicked the chest of the spear wielder, he has knocked some distance away with blood coming from his mouth. The emperor who had cut my chest wanted to land another cut but I transformed my free hand. It wriggled as though something wanted to come out of it. Fur grew on the hand and its size seemed to increase. Claws come out of my fingers. They looked sharp enough to tear sheets of steel as though paper. In less than a breath's time, my hand had become monstrous. I used it to swipe at the stunned emperor's chest leaving with a chunk of meat in my hand. He quickly retreated while holding his chest.

I began focusing on the remaining sword user.

He seemed to be the strongest and most experienced. He was a middle-aged man while the other emperors looked to be in their twenties.

We slashed and blocked faster and faster. The more we fought, the faster my saber became. The other emperors seeing that their comrade was about to be defeated endured their pain and came back to join the battle.

I slowed down a bit but started to gradually become faster again.

As we fought, our armies also started fighting each other led by their generals.

They fought knowing that the deciding factor for the war was the fight with the emperors.

                                                               41.CONCLUSION

The more we fought, the more my comprehension grew and my opponents seemed to become weaker.

My eyes became more unfocussed with time and my body was fighting the emperors with instinct.

I began to ponder why I was using the saber instead of the sword like so many the spear. The only answer I could come up with was that the sword was flexible in its use but had too many moves I care nothing for, as for the spear, it was a straightforward weapon but I am not a straightforward being.

The saber is a weapon designed to cut through everything, to sever all connections tangible and intangible. It is the perfect weapon if you want to cut all your enemies without mercy since when the saber is drawn, there is no room for hesitation, the only recourse at that point is severing all before you. My will when holding a saber is to sever, separate, and under my opponents with a single stroke filled with my entire being.

My will is to cut and divide my enemies from all that they hold dear, their souls, bodies, energies, karma, desires, memories, basically, everything they are and have the potential to be.

As I contemplated my will, a greyish film of light started covering my saber.

Will is a fixed and persistent intent, it is one's attitude, character, decision, desire, determination, discipline, feeling, and inclination.

My inclination is towards severance of all things.

The severance law is one of the most desired laws for any killer, but comprehending this law is very difficult because it goes against the desire of the multiverse.

The multiverse craves to come together into a single unit but the severance law seeks to divide everything into its most basic components and this includes the universe.

The heavens create obstacles for those who try to comprehend this law making their journeys to the peak of known cultivation very difficult, most people comprehend this law unknowingly since it is everywhere in the multiverse. Children are separated from their parents when they think that they have grown up, killing separates individuals into the living and the dead, all one has to do is look carefully at their life situation and they will see the severance law in action.

After most people comprehend this law, they usually give up, become stuck at low levels of cultivation, die trying, or reach the peak, one's final destination is decided by how determined they are to sever all things will out of mercy or limit.

My will to sever had never faltered even after all the time I spent in the void.

At some point in the past, I was called oldman severance. I spent epochs just comprehending the severance law and my determination was enough to reach its peak.

At the peak of this law, nothing can stop one's blade, not the most indestructible metals or the bodies of self-proclaimed immortals.

The emperors used their weapons to guard themselves but my saber cut through the weapons as though they weren't there to begin with. My saber passed through the emperors as though their bodies were made of paper.

When I felt no one attacking me anymore, I was startled by my comprehension.

I was truly angry at the three for not giving me some more time for my comprehension, they were truly inconsiderate people dying just like that without giving any thought to my needs.

I looked at the emperors, they seemed to be fine. They looked to be just standing there doing nothing. The entire battlefield became silent, all the soldiers looked at the emperors.

Slowly, blood started seeping from their bodies appearing as a straight line bisecting them by their chests.

As more blood came out, the upper part of their bodies started sliding to the side and then fell to the ground leaving only the lower parts standing there. The armies were stunned and frozen for some time before my army started cheering as though they were the ones who had killed the emperors.

The United on the other hand scattered like mice, each soldier only caring about the fleet of the barbaric Emperor Xerxes and his army. As they ran, some even discarded their weapons and armor to run faster, they all knew that I never leave any enemies alive and those sent to my prisons are never heard from again.

As they ran, my army started chasing them down, butchering all they caught.

It took just a few days to kill or capture all the remaining enemy soldiers.

                                           42.THE WAR IS OVER

My return to the Ming capital was met with a celebration on an unprecedented scale.

Fathers lifted their children so that they can have a glimpse at the conqueror of Eden.

Women of great beauty threw flowers on the streets where my retinue was to pass. Musicians set up their instruments by the roadsides and played songs praising me, the great Emperor Ming, and my undefeated army.

The returning army moved through the streets led by me. I was on the horse at the front waving to the overly excited crowd.

One could not even imagine that just a few months ago, many of these celebrants opposed the war as though it would have been the end of the world, but now, those very same people sang songs of praise and danced to the tunes of victors.

The human heart is a truly fickle thing.

We reached the palace where we were welcomed by all officials and of course my beautiful wives and child.

The officials wanted to take this time to ingratiate themselves with me but I was in no mood for their nonsense. I hugged my family and led them back into the palace.

Lui was still as pregnant as ever, Evelyn was still not showing any affection for me, and Ella was as loving as ever.

Diana was the happiest to see me and this enabled me to ignore the three women until I figure out what they are thinking.

I appointed Ming the high king with authority only below my own. I decreed the former chu emperor king of the South and Lui's father king of the North. I went ahead and named Ella Queen of the East as for the West, I put it under temporary martial law since the people of the West were said to be unruly, even the former empire which had jurisdiction there was just there for show.

I also decreed that the land at the very center of the continent was to be cleared and the new capital of the Ming empire built there.

The changes swept through the continent with great speed leaving some people in tears and others in exuberant elation.

I didn't care about any of these people and instead made more decrees the following week. I gave the new kings and queens plans of how they must construct the new major cities in the East, South, North, and West, the imperial builders were also given a detailed plan for the new capital city.

After giving my detailed instructions, I started spending more time with my family.

I especially spent time with Diana but also made time for my wives.

One night, I decided to finally visit Evelyn's chambers and get to know what she truly wants. It was clear that she had married me with her agenda in mind.

I knocked on the golden doors of her chamber but got no reply, I then decided to check the chambers with my soul sense, inside her chambers, everything was extremely organized to levels that approached mental imbalance.

I scanned the chambers thoroughly in amazement and thus let me understand more about this wife of mine.

I started moving about the palace looking for her. I had not given much time to understanding the palace's layout but it was truly impressive for a palace on a desolate continent.

I found Evelyn training with a sword in a training field at the back of the palace.

She wielded her sword with elegance and undeniable power. Her graceful movements were mesmerizing and heart-gripping. I suppressed my existence and watched her quietly.

I had known that I had married an extremely beautiful woman but I avoided her because the ambition I sensed from within her gaze scared me a little. I was not scared of what she might do to me but I was scared of what I would have to do to her when she betrayed me but inevitably failed just like so many before her.

As I watched her, my fear started to dissipate slowly and it was replaced by an overwhelming desire to make her truly become mine in body and soul.

Her purple garments moved with the wind instead of against it, and her stance with the sword showed a deep love for the weapon. This love was one I had seen in many who chose the way of the sword. It reach the peak of sword laws, and many chose to become heartless only loving the sword, it was for this infuriating reason that I had never gotten along with any of the many sword Emperors instead choosing to slay many of them.

The differences between the sword and the saber were quite profound. As many found it easier to comprehend the sword with as few emotions possible, the way of the saber requires one to be in complete understanding of their emotions to reach the peak of saber laws.

As I was thinking to myself in the corner of the field, I sensed a change in Evelyn, then I saw a film of greyish energy on her sword, she had achieved sword since the first stage of a true sword master, just like I had achieved saber since the beginning of a saber master. I was now becoming more and more interested in the woman called Evelyn Chu.

                                                44.TRAINING

    As she practiced, I got the urge to fight her and as soon as this thought crossed my mind, I grabbed a sharp-looking saber from the nearby weapon rack. She noticed my actions but paid me no mind until I ran towards her with my saber in a horizontal slashing motion. I noticed the momentary panic I had expected but it immediately fizzed away as though smoke in a windy afternoon.

She brought her sword to block my sudden assault, and when the sound of the sword meeting the saber she had expected was not heard, she realized that I had changed my saber to deliver a vertical slash instead.

She narrowly escaped my deadly attack but my saber still cut her purple dress leaving a noticeable hole exposing her tantalizing belly.

She put on a serious look as we faced each other, I showed no hint of remorse but a hint of slaughter and bloodlust radiated from me in waves.

She stood far from me measuring me with her bright green eyes.

We became motionless each with their thoughts.

I threw my saber towards the rack where it landed in the exact spot I had got it from.

The sound of the saber landing on its spot broke the silence and on seeing this, Evelyn's shoulders sagged in relief and realization of my lack of the desire to dismember her.

"I am truly impressed that you have achieved sword sense on your own without any true understanding of the cultivation path," I spoke out loud as I moved closer to her.

She did not so much as flinch as I walked toward her like a hoodlum who had just seen what he desired most.

The space between us became shorter until it wasn't worth mentioning.

I stopped in front of her with our faces centimeters apart.

Our breaths intermingled and our heartbeats started to sync. Soon, our hearts beat at the same rate with no difference whatsoever.

The men were the high king Ming representing the military forces in the West, King Chu of the South, King Anders of the North,  and a special advisor to Queen Ella of the East.

"This plan by his majesty the Emperor is truly unique, nothing like it exists on the continent, This capital city, if finished will be the crown jewel of the Eden continent" King Anders murmured to himself as he rhythmically knocked his middle finger on the table. The other men just continued looking at the plan in amazement and bewilderment.

"The emperor has decreed that all five cities must be constructed within one hundred years, although the capital city will be the most difficult to complete in such little time, the other four cities' plans while not as complex will also require noticeable effort and struggle ." high king Ming spoke with his authoritative voice to the three men.

As all this was going on, I was seated on a chair in the training field with Ella, Evelyn, and Lui seated in more comfortable chairs opposite me.

The atmosphere was unnatural with the silence making things even more uncomfortable. The three women spared no look for each other only looking at me with eyes that promised suffering should the reason for my calling for this meeting not be convincing enough.

I knew that no explanation would be good enough to comfort the disgruntled women so actions had to do everything. I lifted the black bag which was next to me and opened its zipper with an annoying sound. The women were not pleased by this but I just went on.

I put my hand in the bag and pulled out four scrolls that looked brand new. I put three aside and slowly opened one while facing Evelyn. I lifted it towards her indicating that she should stand up and receive it. She was not happy with this but after a few breaths time, curiosity got the better of her, and she got up receiving the scroll. She proceeded to seat gracefully back in her chair.

"The scroll you are holding contains a cultivation technique I made when I still had some interest in pursuing the way of the sword. This technique demands that the user seek balance and compromise in all they do. With your personality that enabled you to marry me even though you have no feelings whatsoever towards me, this technique should suit you well. I called it the Duality sword art and with it, becoming a sword empress is expected."I explained to Evelyn the content of the scroll in an unhurried manner.

To her credit, she did not become overly excited but instead thanked me for the technique with a calm demeanor.

I was not surprised by this and instead grabbed another scroll I faced Lui Anders.

                                                                   46.BEGINNING

    I handed Lui the second scroll, and she opened it with anticipation and excitement. Although I had given her a cultivation technique some years back, she had not liked it very much. This was because when I had made the technique, I did not consider that she would become pregnant with an unholy fetus whose affinity for Samsara laws would influence Lui to have more affinity with death laws instead of the fire laws she originally had the strongest affinity to.

When she began reading from the scroll, she was stupefied by the unbelievable nonsense on it.

Before Lui could start pouring tears I rushed to explain.

I handed her the third scroll. She opened it without delay, reading the content with a calm gaze. When she was done, she rolled the scroll back and looked at me with her soul-stirring bottomless blue eyes.

I was finally done but before they could say anything, I got nine pills from the bag and gave each three pills.

These were of course qi gathering pills, I explained the use and told them to go in seclusion for at least a week and break through to become qi cultivators, I then set up another meeting for after they had all broken through.

                                                                         47.DIANA

    In the following days, I spent all my time with Diana, teaching her all sorts of things that I thought could lead her to success.

I gave her advice on cultivation, which was extremely fast since it was aided by all the resources of the Empire.

I spent my nights in a nearby prison which gained the name Ukuthethisa Prison due to the screams that could be heard throughout the night. People started avoiding the place altogether.

I enjoyed my days cultivating and painting with Diana and during the nights, I experimented with the prisoner in all sorts of manners thankfully, I had the foresight to order the high king to capture for me some prisoners so I had enough test subjects. Some exploded while others just simply crumbled into ash. Although I was limited by the limited qi on the continent, I continued my experiments in hopes of solving some of the problems I had such as Diana's low affinity to cultivation. Although her mother had heaven's bane physique, the daughter's affinity for cultivation was as low as it could get. She had a mortal physique, mortal soul, and mortal meridians.

In my experiments, I was attempting to solve these problems.

After one week, all three women had broken through led by Evelyn, Lui second, and Ella last. This was no indication of talent considering that Ella's physique is a Chaos-grade physique.

During our next meeting in the field, I arrived to find the women already there waiting in uncomfortable silence. They all turned to look at me when they sensed my entrance into the field. They let out a collective sigh which made all three blush in discomfiture.

I burst into laughter with Diana whom I had brought along laughing with me.

The women looked at Diana and me with stares that promised despair.

After we ignored their not-so-subtle threats,  we laughed to our heart's content before I took the seat opposite the ladies. Diana followed me and I lifted her to sit on my lap.

I analyzed the glaring ladies and was content with their current cultivation considering the conditions of the continent.

The distance between their seats was still as wide as before but I was not worried by this, the worry would start when that gap started becoming smaller.

They told me about the issues they met in their cultivation and I guided them patiently.

When we were done with that, I became more serious and spoke to Ella directly.

"Ella, I need to improve Diana's cultivation aptitude, if nothing is done about this problem right now, she will not surpass the ninth level of the qi gathering realm."

Ella was very much in shock as she processed my words.

When I saw the look on her face, my voice became softer but that did not last as I abruptly hardened my voice.

"Are you not hearing my words woman "I spoke in a slightly louder voice and thus seemed to make Ella start thinking instead of just listening to my words.

"What do I need to do?"Ella asked with insurmountable resolve after calming down.

I smiled at her making the ladies blush."You don't need to do anything, I will do what is necessary to ensure that my daughter has the greatest talent and opportunities, all I need is for you to agree to my decision. Cultivators may be powerful and long-lived but many of them envy mortals at some point in their long lives, so be sure because once I do what I plan to do, her aptitude for cultivation will be so great that she will reach higher levels of cultivation even when she just sits around idle, and if she puts in a little effort, she will outpace all of your current selves."

The ladies were shocked by my words but soon came to their senses.

"You do what is needed, although some cultivators envy mortals, I want my daughter to live for a very long time," Ella said in a calm voice.

                                            48.THE NETHER ABSOLUTE

Diana looked at us failing to understand what we were talking about. Her eyes filled with innocence encouraged me to increase the pace of my experiments.

Over the following months, I practiced with the saber with Evelyn during the day and made the prisoners useful at night.

My experiments were already radical but now no sane being would even attempt what I was doing.

I had told the ladies that I wanted to increase Diana's talent but I don't think they grasped the magnitude of what I was saying. Cultivation aptitude was not something that could just be tampered with at one's will. Many powerful beings tried their hands at this type of research but their results were insignificant. The most successful of these beings was a body cultivator known only by his most famous saying, "Thy body is all there is, nothing else matters."His technique of stealing the bloodlines of other beings spread very fast and soon humans with bloodlines of beasts such as Dragons and Phoenixes came out of their worlds and started hunting down these magnificent beasts. Of course, the humans had been overcome by their immense greed, they thought that they could hunt down the offspring of ancestral beasts and face no consequences. The ancestral beasts had four of their leaders considered as part of The Nine. These four mighty beasts felt humiliated that a small and inferior race such as humanity dared to put their hands on their descendants. War for the eradication of the human scourge was declared and as expected, the humans stood no chance. They faced defeat after defeat until all they had left was their homeland the human realm.

Although humans were weak and greedy creatures, many races respected them for their powerful reproductive ability. In the few years the war had been raging, well not war on the side of the beasts more like training for their weaker brethren, the humans had produced and lost many talented individuals to the war.

In the last moments of the war, a human unlike any other was born, his talents were off the charts, having an ancestral grade soul, physique, and meridians. This man did not focus on cultivation since he knew that even with his talents, he would need billions of years to even stand before one of The Nine.

He instead focused on cultivating human talents and reorganizing the human armies. He cultivated to become the most powerful human and then forcibly united all of humanity into a single force. He then formed the most powerful human army through the most excruciating training regiments.

Humans started losing fewer and fewer battles until even The Nine noticed the human effort and adaptability. Two of the Nine stood up for the humans and negotiated with the beasts to let the humans live. The beasts agreed since they did not want to fight with any other member of The Nine, especially the Nether Absolute who for some unknown reason wanted the humans to live. Many beings doubted the motivation of the Nether's absolute, he was the most powerful of The Nine and also the most heartless. He was so old no one remembered his origins, they just remembered that he was always there. He had seen many races die out and he wiped out even more of these races himself. There was nothing special about humanity that would suddenly make him grow a heart.

Many speculated about his reasons but it did not matter whether the beasts understood his reasons or not, they simply had to stand down or else face his legendary wrath.

As I thought about all this, I could not stop myself from smiling as I fondly remembered my peak as the Nether Absolute.

                                                              49.GOLDEN AGE

    The beasts had the good sense to heed my words and that was the end of the Bloodline Wars.

Although the body-obsessed cultivator did a great job, his technique has its limit. Transplanted bloodlines can never truly be one with the cultivator. This is because the transplanted bloodline and the soul lack a connection.

For an individual born with a particular bloodline, their soul and body work together without any disunity, enabling the individual to fully benefit from all the boons granted by the bloodline. This is not the case when a bloodline is transplanted, at first, the individual experiences increased cultivation speed and a few of the gifts innate to the bloodline but at a certain cultivation level, cultivation speed slows down drastically. This is because in most if not all cultivation systems, at higher levels, one cultivates by understanding oneself, but how can an individual hope to understand his true nature when his soul does not recognize his blood?

This is the problem faced by all individuals who transplant bloodlines into themselves.

In my experiments, I was seeking to find a way to solve this problem for Diana's sake.

I may not be the highest authority on bloodline transplants but I am the highest authority on bloodlines since I captured and experimented on countless beings trying to figure out how, what, and why they are.

These experiments led me to my greatest achievement the body forging pill which enabled me to create my current body in which my body is my soul, my soul is my body

thus allowing my body to assimilate the greatest aspects of any bloodline taking into consideration my conscious and unconscious

desires of what I desire and need from the bloodline and since my body is my soul, there is no dissociation of bloodline and soul. But my body would not be my greatest achievement if that was all.

But I of course could not repeat refining the body-forging pill since the materials required took me an unknown amount of time to collect not to mention I needed to find two extremely powerful bloodlines to balance the energies of the pill.

As my experiments went on, I also spared time to practice the saber with Evelyn whom I also roped into comprehending alchemy with me.

Not neglecting anyone, I comprehended formations with Ella and blacksmithing with Lui. As for Diana, she was obsessed with painting forcing me to call a teacher for both of us since in my extremely long existence, I had never given the painting a second thought even though I knew that it was a very powerful art that made use of the mighty creation laws.

With all my time occupied, I let the Empire run with very little guidance from me and this ushered in a golden age for the continent.

                                                                   50.FINALLY

Time went by slowly but surely, many changes took place in the Empire but I paid them no mind, I simply concentrated on my experiments, alchemy, formations, blacksmithing, and painting since I could not increase my cultivation.

Before I realized the changes in my surroundings, ten golden years for the Empire had come and gone. For the mortals of the empire, this seemed like an eternity, for me, it was just enough for me to become a self-certified grade-one alchemist, formation master, blacksmith, and painter.

But all these were not my greatest achievements of the decade, I had finally cracked the problem to Diana's problem.

After hundreds of failed experiments and countless corpses sent to the crematorium, I finally developed a new pill recipe which was a lesser version of the body-forging pill recipe but not inferior in value since this new recipe achieved what the body-forging pill could never achieve low production cost.

This new recipe required only grade-one materials while the materials for the body-forging pill could make the wealthiest being in the multiverse weep in the realization of his poverty.

I of course immediately refined the grade one pill which would undoubtedly work on Diana since I had forbidden her from cultivation.

I moved to meet with Diana and Ella with the supreme-grade pill in hand.

I finally found the mother-daughter duo in the largest painting studio in the palace.

When I saw the two, I was flooded with unquestionable love for the two.

Diana had truly grown to become a beauty no less than her mother. She had her mother's deep blue eyes but her's somehow seemed even more blue. They were the kind of eyes one could get lost in.

They were both wearing blue dresses which hugged their figures and brought out their eyes.

I moved towards them but they paid me no mind as they concentrated on the painting in front of them. This painting portrayed a society of peace and prosperity with all in the painting laughing and smiling to their heart's content. Children were playing in the streets and merchants went about their work with joy.

I stood behind them as they finished the painting. When they were done, they finally noticed my presence which startled them, especially Diana. On finally realizing who I was, they came down and Diana rushed to hug me with a smile on her face, Ella just stood there blushing in embarrassment for not having noticed my entry into the studio.

I spread out my right hand and brought Ella to join in on the hug.

When the excitement finally came down, I became serious and spoke to both of them when the hug ended.

"I have finally refined the pill, Diana  get ready, you are going into a long seclusion, I will go with you ."

Diana seemed to not understand what I was saying at first but she soon started jumping in joy and thanking me without end.

When she came down, I kissed Ella passionately and Diana made a face of disgust and embarrassment to this. I then led Diana to a cultivation chamber that had already been prepared for her.

                                                           51.METARMOPHOSIS

      Inside the chamber, I was not surprised to find paintings on all the walls with painting materials such as paints of all colors, painting brushes, blank canvasses, and many more strewn all over.

The Chamber looked disorganized and in disarray but on keen observation, the position of each item had some meaning.

I ignored all the many distractions as we made ourselves comfortable. When we had finished sitting comfortably cross-legged facing each other in the center of the room, I hesitated for just a moment and she noticed my apprehension. She gave me a reassuring smile which gave me the resolve to go forward with my plan.

I opened a small box covered in tiny engravings which had no actual use but sure as hell made the box look more imposing and important.

Diana looked at the tiny box with an inquisitive gaze, I just smiled at her and let her see its content. Inside the box, only a single purple pill sat in solitude.

I removed the pill from the box and handed it to Diana as I began to explain.

"Diana, you and your mothers must have realized the impossibility of me but none of you has asked me for any more information than what you require, this has warmed my heart deeply, but considering what this pill will do to your body and soul, I feel that you are owed some information. This pill is my new creation, it is just a first-grade alchemical pill but it will alter everything about you even some of your behavior will be altered but I assure you that you will still be the same wonderful person you have always been.

I know that you do not agree with how I made this pill but you will come to realize that no discovery is achieved without some blood. After taking this pill, your bloodline will be changed, and you will no longer be purely human, although a tiny percentage of human blood will be left in you, it will be so insignificant that realizing its existence will be impossible for most."

At this point, I just shut up and waited for her to make her decision.

"Which race will I belong to?"Diana finally asked as she took the purple pill from my hand.

When I saw her decision, I was truly happy but I tried not to smile only letting a ghost of a smile appear on my face.

"The same race as me, this is a new race with only one member, me, after your transformation, two beings will comprise the race, I think let's call ourselves the Nether Wolf Race for now since there is a component whose origins I do not fully understand," I replied to her question leaving her dumbfounded.

"Surely you guys must have realized by now that I am not human "

She just shook her head with a smile and then threw the pill into her mouth immediately swallowing it.

I was not prepared for this, I had thought that she would have more questions.

I prepared myself to assist her as I moved closer to her.

Nothing happened for some time then she suddenly began shaking,  she then fell to the floor and became as still as a mountain.

I moved next to her in anticipation of what was about to happen.

A transparent purple film started covering her body starting from her head down to her legs.

The film became thicker with each breath she took becoming while also becoming less diaphanous.

Soon, a bright purple cocoon was all that was left. It was opaque and looked to be rough.

I just continued sitting there waiting until I felt my soul force being pulled from me, I did not try to resist and let my white purplish soul force flow from me into the cocoon flowing akin to a mighty river.

I just continued sitting there as though nothing was happening.

As my soul force flowed into the cocoon, it began moving and sounding as though a heart. On seeing this, I knew that all was going as planned, I closed my eyes and started comprehending formations.

As this was going on, time showed no mercy and soon, a full forty years had come and gone like the wind.

                                                                       52.OUT OF SECLUSION

Grrrrrrgrgrrrrrrrrgrr the door opened with an ear-piercing sound. The creaking of the door made the two bored-looking guards sitting on the floor before the door jump to awareness. I stood in the doorway and scrutinized the fools playing at being Imperial guards.

The two idiots started shivering to the point that they forgot their training. When in the presence of members of the royal family, imperial guards one of the guards is supposed to hold his or her spear horizontally with both hands then kneel with one knee touching the ground, lower his or her head and offer the spear to the royal. The other guards are supposed to stand at attention holding their spears with their right hands and the left hands forming fists and putting on their chests.

When I saw that these guards showed a complete lack of decorum, I was angry that they dared to be lazy in my presence but at the same time, I was not surprised. I had not been seen in public for about fifty years.

When the two idiots saw my face and probably recognized who I was, it was as though their training finally kicked in with one of them standing at attention with the other kneeling in front of me offering me his spear.

I wasted no time in doing what had to be done, I grabbed the spear and in one swift motion, I beheaded both men.

Their heads fell to the ground with dull sounds. Blood sprayed from their necks with pressure enough for the ceiling to be painted red.

I knew the importance of security, especially during cultivation, so I spent two whole days setting up defensive formations all over the area. I then shut the door slowly and walked to my chambers.

As I passed through the long hallways all the maids and guards stopped whatever they were doing and performed the proper etiquette. My purple robes were covered with dirt, and my hair was all over the place with its once pure white color now having a hint of brown.

I spoke to no one since I knew that without a doubt, a maid would come to my chambers to do the needful.

In my chamber, I found a young-looking pretty maid already waiting for my arrival.

I moved into the extremely large bathroom and the maid followed me.

I just stood there as she removed my robes and then guided me to a circular pool of water.

I entered the steaming pool of water and she followed me in.

The water made her thin white clothes stick to her body making her well-developed figure stick out.

I looked at her in interest but made no move against her. I let her clean my body thoroughly as enjoyed the warm water and her soft hands on my body. I had been completely exhausted by Diana's metamorphosis, I had to pay attention to all details for the last forty years only leaving now since my part was done and the process just needed time to come to completion.

                                    53.FETUS

After the relaxing bath, I moved to my bed where I slept for two days.

When I woke up, I felt refreshed and ready for what was to come next.

I had a great meal and then called for all the bureaucrats.

As expected, the construction of the cities was on track but more time was required. I told them to increase the labor force so that the work is done in twenty years utmost.

I left them to figure out the logistics of it all as I went on to my wives to spend some time with them after forty years.

I visited Lui first, and I found her seated on her bed cultivating, it seems that in my absence, she had become addicted to cultivation or rather the high brought about by an increase in power.

I sat beside her on the bed just watching her. Lui was a true beauty even with her belly bulging due to the pregnancy.

After some time, she slowly opened her pitch-black eyes before letting out a soft sigh filled with dissatisfaction.

Her eyes were akin to black holes pulling my consciousness out of my body. I did not try to resist the pull but instead, let it go on so that I could feel how strong this force was.

Ultimately, the force disappeared without affecting me in any significant way.

Lui smiled at me lovingly making my hardened heart flutter. I smiled back at her and then moved near her. I slowly reduced the distance between us and leaned in for a kiss. Our lips touched and at that moment I could have sworn that there has never existed a better or softer feeling. Her lips melded into mine as our passion gradually grew. The space between our bodies grew smaller and warmer. Our hands were not idols, she wrapped her arms around me with her dainty fingers exploring my back.

On the other hand, my hands were more naughty, one was around her back while I used the other to try to remove her greyish dress. She did not resist and soon her dress was on the floor. At this point, her flimsy undergarment was no obstacle as I made quick work of them, leaving them on the floor in pieces.

Her gorgeous body was now mine to explore but when I saw her belly, I remembered that she was pregnant. She realized my hesitation and quickly understood my thoughts.

"It's okay, I consulted the court physician who told me that there was no issue as long as the activity is not too wild," Lui spoke in a small voice. I just smiled at her in amusement and realization.

"I don't. think I have explained to you what our unborn child here actually is, you are carrying an unholy fetus, it can not be aborted or miscarried unless it wishes for its death.

I am not saying that it is conscious but its instincts are highly developed. I am not worried that the child will be harmed by our little sexual escapades, but it may be offended and decide to off itself. The arrogance of unholy fetuses is legendary and over the top."

On hearing my words, she was startled and then looked at me apologetically. I knew the look in her eyes, it was a mother's determination.

I just sighed but was not too disappointed since I knew that this was how it would be.

We just lay in her bed talking until the next day.

I spent a few days with all my wives then set out to practice formation.

                                           54.REWARDS

I practiced formations with Ella day in and day out. We practiced by setting up all sorts of grade-one formations all over the current imperial palace. We set up qi gathering formations, bewildering formations, defensive formations, and attack formations. These grade-one formations were too easy for both of us, we covered the entire palace in these formations making it the most secure place on the continent. The concentration of qi in the palace became higher than that of any other location on the tiny continent.

Many palace workers had cultivation breakthroughs making the average cultivation of the workers become stage four of the mortal realm.

News quickly got out and spread among the masses. The cunning officials started coming up with more and more reasons to stay in the palace. Soon, the palace was crowded with all sorts of useless characters. When I noticed this, I became irritated at their brazen nature but killing them was not an option. I had already cleansed the palace of all useless officials including some who just did not look good enough. I was not proud of some but I didn't execute them, I just transferred them to serve in positions far from the palace.

I established some new rules making it such that the Imperial family would set up formations in the residences of officials who greatly contribute to the empire.

At first, these officials were skeptical but soon, the education minister Ren Habaz proposed the establishment of the Imperial Academy to provide education to all citizens and also cultivation guidance and assistance. The idea intrigued me, although I had seen such Academies and sects, I had never attempted to establish any.

The fact that Minister Ren could come up with such an idea on his own made me change my view of the continent, I had been seeing it as a continent with talents in the tens but now, I remembered that no place lacks talents, only lack of opportunities and resources buries these talents.

I summoned Minister Ren to the palace immediately.

In the meeting hall, I sat on my throne with officials on both sides looking confused, I had not told them the reason for the meeting. Soon, the herald announced the minister with all his noble titles. He entered the hall timidly but with a resolution to die with dignity. This would not be the first time that I had summoned an unsuspecting official to the palace only to behead him.

The minister was a short old man with grey hair, a long beard reaching his chest, and spectacles hanging around his neck.

He walked slowly toward my throne with all the officials looking at him with pity and fear for his life.

He paid them no mind and simply continued his stroll.

On reaching an appropriate distance from the throne, he knelt and bowed his head.

"Minister Ren, rise today is not a day for somber moods, I have summoned you here to reward your efforts for the empire and to accept your proposal."

The old minister was taken aback, he slowly relaxed and stood up with gratitude at my mercy.

"Minister Ren, your proposal for the formation of the imperial academy is hereby granted, a residence shall also be constructed for you and your family and formations shall be set up to safeguard your noble household ."

On hearing all this, everyone was excited since they realized that I would follow through on my promises.

In the following weeks, construction of the academy and the minister's new residence commenced.

                                                                     55.NANJING

    I got busier with time as the useless government officials suddenly became competent. They made hundreds of practical and beneficial proposals forcing me to implement some of them. This led to more work for me and Ella as we set up formations with no end in sight.

As a result of the relentless work done by the profiteering officials, the lives of the citizens improved to the extent that some chose to forget how I had come to power.

Better roads were constructed linking all areas of the Empire, public health institutions were established, qualified physicians were employed, new laws safeguarding the rights of the mortals were put into place, and many other things which I had no interest in knowing about were done as long as they benefited the growth and strengthening of the Empire.

The Empire soon became a well-oiled machine running at the highest possible efficiency. The population of the continent rapidly rose and the death rate drastically fell mostly due to the new laws safeguarding the mortals, before these laws, any so-called cultivator could kill any mortal without any consequences making the lives of mortals short and miserable.

When these new laws first came into use, some cultivators thought themselves above laws that bind only mortals but after a few hundred of these idiots were decapitated, their corpses undressed and hang on the city gates, the fools came to their senses and remembered under whose rule they lived

The years went by giving no quarter to the living beings under its absolute governance.

In the thirty years that flew by, our endless work made us experts at grade-one formations having practiced all I knew and even coming up with a few of our own. We did not end there instead started analyzing, comprehending, and practicing grade-two formations although we were limited by our insignificant cultivation.

I had not neglected alchemy and blah smithing but we just barely squeezed ourselves into grade two.

All five cities were finally done leaving the continent in awe and wonder at my superior intellect for having conceived such magnificent, breathtaking structures. I did not comment on this and just accepted the credit like any great ruler.

The construction had taken over a century according to the mortals but I was not so sure about this since for the mortals, generations had come and gone but for me, time was still inconsequential.

The new cities were described as the greatest achievements in human history but this was a result of ignorance. For starters, I was not human, and even if I was, the cities of the human realm were without a doubt much more deserving of such praises.

I gathered my family including the illusive High King Ming and migrated to the new capital.

With our cultivation, it took less than a day to reach the center of the continent where the capital was located.

On seeing the brand-new city in front of us, a name came to mind Nanjing meaning Southern Capital. The capital became known as Nanjing in remembrance of the old capital city and to remind future Emperors not to forget their roots.

                                                                    56.BREAKTHROUGH

    The city was a work of art. It was constructed with the living comfort of millions of people in mind. The streets were wide enough to allow five carriages to move side by side. Large aqueducts and underground pipes were constructed to provide an uninterrupted supply of fresh water to millions of people. The residences were built with all necessities and beyond.

Hakko crystals were mined from the Eastern mountains in large quantities and used to provide light at night in residences and along the streets. During the day, these crystals absorb light qi from the sun and at night, they let it out.

The city was divided into several sectors such as the administrative sector where all government offices were established, and the residential sector which was of course further subdivided according to wealth and noble rank, the commercial sector, and many others with the Imperial sector at the center of everything.

The imperial sector contained the Chamakdaar palace.

Its beauty was beyond compare on the continent.

It had sky-reaching towers arranged as though conveying some esoteric meaning, balconies wide enough to hold ninety soldiers, square turrets, semicircular arches, grand fountains, doric pillars ornamented brackets, decorative staircases, immaculate gardens with beautiful vistas.

The rooms were decorated with mural paintings depicting how I overthrew the corrupt kingdom and empires of the past.

Gilded ceiling paintings told the battles from my glorious past.

The rooms had large windows letting light stream into the palace.

Grand banquet halls and sculptures were all over the palace.

We toured every room in the gigantic palace until night.

In the night, celebratory parties raged with fireworks and musicians from all over the empire.

The following day, I went straight back to business with Ella as the officials relocated the important people to the new capital.

Instead of setting up our usual formation, we commenced the establishment of the greatest formation the on the continent.

This formation was a grade two formation the lesser world creation formation.

Its only function was to enrich the continent with qi by sucking it with great force from the surroundings. We began setting up this formation all over the continent with the five cities as the formation cores but the capital city as the controlling node.

The cities had been constructed according to my exact specifications using very rare materials such as Xishou stones known for their ability to absorb qi from their surroundings.

Since we had been practicing for years on end, it took us just twenty years to finish setting up the formation.

When we were done, a strong wave of qi but the continent ceaselessly for months until things normalized. After months of the qi wav, many things on the continent started changing. Plants became larger and greener, beasts became stronger and larger and cultivation became easier with experts being born left and right. As this qi revolution was taking place, I had already entered secluded cultivation to try and breakthrough.

The world qi concentration was highest in the capital and higher still in the palace with an even higher concentration in my cultivation chamber.

The world qi I was attracting was visible to even mortals for kilometers beyond the palace.

I had been waiting and plotting for this for years and finally, there was enough world qi on the continent for me to break through.

Strands of qi entered my body where they were converted into Nether qi.

My entire being felt the changes occurring, my bloodline was evolving, my body and soul becoming stronger and the amount of energy in my body was rapidly increasing. Slowly, my body started transforming into my true form.

White hairs started appearing on my body which had already begun expanding. Claws as sharp as razors extended from my fingers and toes. My ears elongated and my eyes became bright yellow.

My bone wriggled around in my body and soon a white wolf with yellow eyes and larger than a horse appeared.

I lay there with my eyes closed as the world qi being attracted increased.

With the increased world qi, I quickly broke through to stage two of Rank one in my cultivation followed by breaking through to stage three.

Stage three was equivalent to level nine of the qi gathering realm.

I continued with cultivation for a full week with the quantity of Nether qi needed for my breakthrough becoming higher. I narrowly managed to reach stage four which was equivalent to level one of the qi purification realm.

    When I finally reached the fourth stage, I could feel every cell in my body break down and change becoming more and more unrecognizable, they could no longer be called wolf or  Nether cells, and neither could they be considered cells from the mysterious bloodline I harvested from the chaos surrounding the multiverse.

Although these three bloodlines made up the core of my being, I could no longer be considered a member of any of these mighty races.

My body size increased exponentially soon my new size was incomparable to my former self. I was now at least the size of two elephants put together but instead of being round and fat, my body was streamlined with muscles in all the right places.

My teeth became larger, longer, and sharper.

My hind feet had four toes instead of five.

My tail became longer and thicker. The fur on my underbelly became purple.

I became disoriented by all the visual information my eyes were picking up. My eyes were picking up the motion of the tiniest particles in the room. When I looked closer at the space around me, it was shivering and it seemed to be moving as though it were made of waves of water.

The unstable space was concentrated where ever I looked and around my claws.

I soon realized that I was tracking the motion of the dust particles perfectly.

I stayed in seclusion trying to understand the changes to my body and also trying to control my body's new raw strength.

This simple task took me two whole weeks to expose a flow in my cultivation path.

Although I was sure that my path was supreme, after every breakthrough, I gained too much power, and learning to precisely control this power took too much time.

I morphed my body into a human form, I moved to the mirror hanging on the wall. I was surprised by the changes, my eyes had become as red as blood, and my height had given up to six feet.

My hair was still white with hints of purple.

I was muscular in humble proportions but there was no fat to be found.

I moved out of the chamber and directly went to meet wives but they were in secluded cultivation.

I met with High King Ming in the throne room.

He was practically running the entire continent by now. I was seated on my throne looking down at him in silence.

I sat there in silence making him uncomfortable, my mood swings were legendary all over the continent, one moment I would be smiling and the next I would be decapitating people for no obvious reason.

"You have run the empire well in my absence, I would like you to continue as you were. I will be moving to another continent for some time. While being away, you will carry out my will with the assistance of a ruling council.

It will be called the Consiglio It will be comprised of the four kings or queens with you the high king leading them."

I then removed four Peter's from my now easily accessible soul sea and handed them to the high king.

"Give the letters to my wives and daughter when they come out of seclusion"

At this moment, I quickly transformed into my true form causing the high king to go pale with fear.

I looked at him with my blood-red eyes temporarily stopping his brain function.

I looked away only when I was sure that his ambitions were reduced to the proper level.

I lifted my paw and with a single claw, I ripped space apart creating a wide slit from which terrifying spacial energies flowed.

I jumped into the slit which closed behind me.
