Cassandra turned off her phone and tossed it lightly beside her. A wide smile was plastered on her lips as she was stared at the ceiling. Her mind seemed afloat in an innocuous reverie. The aformentioned name of this special lad kept on reapeating inside her head like an earworm. As bizarre as it might sound, but it all went down when they first crossed paths, and she realized who he was, Christopher Green, Vincent's friend since his junior years, an academic achiever who seems to take no interests in girls.

She actually knew him ever since she transferred to this school, which was two years ago. But she never met him in person, and now that she had. She just couldn't stop thinking about him. It's as if Christopher resided her mind after seeing him for the very first time. She earnestly wanted to see him agad and again, which is an anomalous feeling to her.

"Why do I feel like something is blooming in this barren heart of mine? And the culprit is no one but him. Is it because he's intelligent? Or because he's handsome? But what if I'm just bored so my brain is playing tricks on me? Damn, I shan't be thinking of him. It'll do me no good," She scoffed at her cretinous acts of chiding herself. Because she knew that deep inside, she is whipped for him. And before she could shrug such fervid emotions stirring inside her, she dozed off.

The sun replaced the moon as the birds flailed outside her window sill. She fluttered her eyes open, and caught herself thinking of him. The way his tall and slender figure is uniquely different from his friends. His curly black hair that looks fluffy even from a mile away. And that set of eyes- so intimidating yet tantalizing. He just feels so homey.

"Geez, girl- stop thinking about him," she whispered before getting up begrudgingly from her bed.

Deep inside, she knew that she couldn't and wouldn't stop now that she's gotten fixated on one dude for the first time in her life. But it's worth it, just in case, because he's intelligent, handsome, and most of all he doesn't care about her!

Class started a while ago but her mind was fuzzy. She felt an urgency to take a break from class, because she's starving- to see him and feel his presence. She peeked into their room that was away from her. She felt grateful to be seated where she could see their room properly. She diverted her gaze and tried to focus on what her teacher was teaching.

"The first three elements on the periodic table: Hydrogen, Helium and Lithium started forming after the Big Bang."

Astronomy with Chemistry? Wow, the different branches of science are really connected. "What about us, Christopher?" she asked herself while letting out a low chuckle.

Oh, she put her head down and tried to ponder with her thoughts and feelings. Or perhaps trying to gather and throw them away in the ocean. "I shouldn't have a crush, especially on one of Vincent's high school friend. And I thought that I wouldn't be interested in a man before college. But now- the class is less than one month and yet I'm getting weird and stuff." She winced at her own thoughts, "wait, crush? I'm just interested in him," she shrugged before listening back to the lecture.

Whatever it may be- she knew that she had to figure her feelings before telling it to anyone.
