CHAPTER 7

"WHEN we are both still in Malaysia you once told me that your twin sister is the one who loves drinking coffee. But according to what I see now, well she seemed influenced you to love coffee" when they were eating breakfast, it was Tim amused comment on her.

Bella was stunned by what she heard from Tim. Not long until she finally thought of something to use as a valid reason. "Of course, coffee is really delicious,” she said in a slightly cracked voice.

Tim chuckles. "So I was right, your sister influenced you" the young man replies in the same tone of voice.

Bella smiled at that and continues eating. "Did you know that my sister's most favorite time of the day is during sunset?" she didn't know why she was saying, she just knew she wanted to say that.

"Yeah?" she got Tim's attention because of what she said.

Bella nodded. Took the glass of water and drink. "Yeah, because she says it would be nice to have coffee at that time," she said frankly.

Tim shrugged his shoulders and sighed. “That's true, why I can't wait to meet her. I'm sure we'll get along nicely, ”the young man stared at her with strange eyes.

Bella's heart ached because of that statement. After a while, they both finished their meal. Using the young man's car, they headed for what he said was a lake. On the edge of the lake, there is a vast field planted with countless mango trees. They are already flowering and blossoming with a fragrant scent all around.

"Did you like it?" smiling, Tim asked her.

They had just finished riding boat the and the old steward Damian was now tying it up. It was when the young man leads her to the concrete table and bench where their snack was served.

Bella nodded consecutively while smiling sweetly at Tim. "Of course, it's so beautiful here, like paradise," she said, her voice full of admiration Tim's eyes flickered and he kissed her in the forehead. "I'm happy to hear all that from you know that?"

Bella turned to look up at the young with questions in her eyes. "W-Why is it that as if there is something in what you have said?" she couldn't help but ask.

Tim sighs then asked her to take a seat after. From the opposite side of the chair, the young man grabbed her hand and then softly squeezed it. "I just remember, once you told me you are not like your twin sister, you don't like the province."

Bella felt an intense shiver because of what she heard. She's even worried that what if Tim is already having a clue about the truth? " I-I told you that?" she knew about her sister's behavior and she wouldn't be surprised because Ara grew up in Manila.

But the look in Tim's eyes as he saw how passionate she was about the place had brought a strange kind of emotion to Bella's heart that kind that she could not name.

Tim nodded and kissed her hand. "If only I can talk to your sister now I would thank her."

Bella ignored the electrifying sensation Tim's action caused her. "R-Really? Why?" she asked in a shaking voice.

It was when the young man pulled her a little closer to him and touched her forehead with his. "For the moment you were together she changed you so much in the best way that a person can change," Tim said in a tone of honesty that Bella immediately felt a sharp pinch in her conscience.

Bella ran out of words to say so she simply smiled. "Let's eat?" she said and started putting food on Tim's plate.

"By the way, when can I meet your family?" asked Tim as he started eating the sandwich Bella put on his plate.

It was when Bella stared at him. "I-I will let you know when everything is okay. Will that be fine with you?"

Tim nodded. “Well, anyway, I was wondering if I would ever return to Malaysia or work here in the Philippines. The truth is that I don't want to be far away from you, even for a moment.

What he said was in Tim's eyes that Bella couldn't help but feel a strange feeling in her chest. How could she tell Tim the truth when he was so much in love with her sister? Couldn't her pretenses make the situation worse?

"What do you mean?" he wondered the question. "Moreover, you do not have to sacrifice your work for the sake of our relationship," Bella added.

The young man nodded. "Maybe it's too soon, but one of these days you will know why" he stared at her then smiled.

Bella did not insist when she senses the certainty in the young man's tone. A few moments later they both started eating the snack that they brought for that picnic. The weather is good even though it's a little hotter than usual. It is also shady around because of many mango trees.

IF YOU'RE JUST HERE, FOR SURE YOU ARE HAVING FUN RIGHT NOW. The other side of her mind as she watched Tim's beautiful eyes twinkle while talking. It was almost lunchtime when Tim asked her to go home. When the young man placed an arm over her shoulder she again felt the usual shuddering feeling inside her chest. But instead of removing his arm, she preferred to turn at the young man.

“I love it here, shall we go back here? Here at the lake, it may be better here in the afternoon, during sunset, ” she said in a pleading voice.

A good smile broke Tim's lips. “The way you look at me right now, I feel like I've just seen you. Your eyes, if I put in the dark sky would probably be the brightest evening star ”.

Bella's face seemed to get hotter because of the young man's words. When Tim kissed her head, she looked up at him again. "T-Thank you" is true within her.

“I love you, so much. And don't worry we'll come back here. At least now we could both drink coffee while watching the sunset” what Tim said touches her heart deeply, that is why Bella couldn't help but smile as she rested her head on the young man's shoulder. She is happy and she cannot deny that. But she also needs to remember all of that has an ending and that thought made her feel a little sad.
