Autumn's POV

"Hi baby, just give me your number, you know I can give you the whole world, including a daily cup of latte and espresso, and of course, a sweet morning kiss from me each time," my hands curled almost immediately when I heard how cringy the guy sounded. Thank God my hands were hidden behind my back as I just handed the slice of cake they just ordered.

Mustering all the energy left in me after a very long day job, I gave them my warmest smile and bowed a little before turning my back and headed to the counter. Caitlin, who has heard and witnessed everything was laughing so hard while she hides behind the counter so the guys won't see her.

"I hate you," I mouthed and she just gave me the finger, something I am already used to. I have been friends with her since my first day here so her usual greetings don't really shock me anymore. At this point, I'd actually think she's sick if she didn't curse for a day and all those kind of vulgar deeds.

The moment she got a hold of herself, she stood up and tried to act natural. She gave me the alcohol so I can cleanse my hands.

“We both know half the students kept coming back here because they want to flirt with you. I can’t believe you’re not allowing anybody to court you,” she pouted and I just shook my head.

“Cait, half the people coming here are female,” she whisper-shouted. She has that much confidence in my looks.

“Exactly my point. Even girls kept coming back here because of you. The coffee here tastes like shit, the very same ones you can buy in convenience stores so stop telling me otherwise. I don’t even like drinking our own coffee,”

I laughed at her dissing our very own goods. I can’t blame her though. Our coffee doesn’t really taste that amazing but I wouldn’t go to that shitty description either. It’s not the best but I would drink it any day. Caitlin is just overly dramatic about everything. About the coffee as well as me being the reason why those students kept coming back.

“Shut up, Cait. Our boss might hear you,” I tried shushing her but she just shrugged her shoulders. I should have known that a girl with an attitude and an equally foul mouth like her wouldn’t be scared of her own boss.

“I told you, give me whatever goody beauty tips that you have because I’m dying here!” she uttered and I just smiled. Caitlin is beautiful. She just looks a little too intimidating for guys to come to her. And as for the beauty tips, she was asking, I don't have anything like that. Maybe I should thank my family genes for that. I am half Korean and half Australian, with a hint of Spanish blood in me. Growing up from a family with old money, I got to experience the sweet taste of luxury even before I started understanding the way of life.

Too bad though, my family seemed to be experiencing business problems these days, the reason why I had to leave home and tried living on my own.

"That guy who talked to you looked okay. Though I can say I don't like the way he looks at you. It's like he wanted to take you out or something, the carnal look in his eyes tells me he's a bad choice,"

I covered my lips with her words.

"But I'd jump on him anytime," she added and my lips parted at jow confident she sounded. I wish I had half her confidence. I never had a boyfriend before.

My eyes landed on the clock just beside her and a grin almost broke into my face when I realized that it's just a few seconds before my shift ends, which means I get to leave these silly college guys in Caitlin's mercy. So when she saw how I was smiling, she groaned almost immediately and I just stuck my tongue out while I removed my apron.

Her eyes widened, the moment I started walking, it felt like my energy went up a notch. This goddamn coffee shop is just a few blocks away from my university and most of the students, especially those graduating ones stay here to finish their paper works so it's very exhausting. Not to mention that I have to deal with all kinds of jackass and innuendos like earlier and I can't do anything about it.

I was about to come inside the employee's locker room when my eyes caught a familiar figure coming straight in. His eyes were focused on his phone so he was not able to see me. My lips parted and my cheeks started blushing, my feet automatically unable to start moving. He was busy typing on his phone that I was able to fully study his appearance. He was wearing a white button-down shirt and black chino shorts as he paired it with white sneakers. There was a sunglass hanging on the front of his shirt while his hair was hidden under his snapback.

Who would believe me now of I tell them that this guy, the very same one who just caught the attention of a few of the students, even those busy studying, along with Caitlin who I heard squealing from behind me, is the very same gay housemate of mine?

I mean, he just looks so freaking hot, he'd actually pass as a model. or an actor. Who am I kidding? He can even be both!

So when he suddenly lifted his gaze and our eyes met, he looked taken aback and that's when I realized I was still standing right in front of the counter.

I bit my lower lip and grunted internally.

Jesus, Autumn. He caught you again, didn't he?
