Lily Bennet hurried into the elevator, clutching a stack of files, when she found herself unexpectedly joined by a tall, dark-haired stranger. The elevator doors closed, trapping them together.

"Going up?" He asked

 "Yes, to the top floor," Lily said, slightly startled that he was talking to her.

"Ah, the penthouse. Fancy." the stranger deduced

Lily nodded, her heart pounding as she noticed his piercing blue eyes. Something was captivating about him, an air of mystery that intrigued her.

 "You seem in a hurry. Important files?"

"Yes, Mr. Blackwood requested them urgently."

Stranger's eyes widened slightly at the mention of the powerful Blackwood name, but he quickly regained his composure.

"Blackwood, you say? I've heard he's a force to be reckoned with." He probed further.

 "That he is. I'm just an intern trying to make a good impression." She half shrugged, adjusting the files in her hands.

The stranger chuckled a low and alluring sound.

"Well, intern, you've certainly caught my attention." He smirked, making her look at him. 

Lily blushed, feeling a mix of excitement and confusion.

 "I'm sorry, do we know each other?" She asked, wondering where she had seen him before.

"No, we don't. But I have a feeling we might." He smiled and oh what that smile did to her insides.

As the elevator climbed higher, the atmosphere between them grew charged with unspoken tension. Their conversation was filled with playful banter and subtle flirtation, each word hinting at the possibility of something more.

 "What's happening? Why did the elevator stop?" she asked, her heart plummeting.

 "Don't worry, it's probably just a minor malfunction. These things happen." He assured her.

Lily took a deep breath, trying to calm her racing heart.

"I hope they fix it soon. I don't like confined spaces."

 "Well, lucky for you, I'm here to keep you company." He winked.

He fucking winked Lily thought. Who the hell is this guy?

His voice was laced with a hint of seduction, sending a shiver down Lily's spine. She felt a strange mixture of fear and excitement, a magnetic pull towards this mysterious stranger.

"No matter. You're here now. Hand me the files." Mr. Blackwood gestured for her to give him the files.
