Prince Charming

Aynie

"So Aynie, I think it's just proper that I send you home." Oliver said as we walked along the dark corridors. There are still ongoing classes for college students but the corridors look like a set-up for a horror movie.

"Err. No thanks. My parents would most likely kill you." He laughed oh so deliciously, I mean, wonderfully (If that's even possible) and shook his head.

"Maybe your boyfriend would." He said, his eyes twinkling and shining with the help of the moon (that's cheesy Aynie!) I tried turning on my phone but no luck. The battery is dead. WHY NOW?

"I don't have one." I replied. But I do have a husband.

"Oh.” He paused, as he shyly ruffled his hair.

“Would you... go out with me." He said and my eyes went wide as the Pacific Ocean. "You know, to say sorry for the incident? Like coffee or something?

Oh right.

"Yeah sure." I answered. "Err, see yah around."

I started to walk away, taking the path of my lonely life when I felt a hand on my wrist.

"I shall take you home. It's dangerous." Oliver insisted. I was about to turn him down when I saw a group of thugs walking towards us. My heart seat rate suddenly increased as I held onto his arm for my dear life. They scare the living daylights out of me.

"Good girl." He said and patted my head.

"What am I, a dog?" I joked and he chuckled, ruffling my hair making it messier than it already is. My hair is smooth, wavy, and has no direction but it looks perfectly messy.

He led me to his hot orange sports car, which is the only car left. Dang, can I marry his car? Being a gentleman, he opened the door and I did a little curtsy. We cracked up and how I wish Harry could do this for me. I had never ever rode with him before, and I think I never will.

"What are you thinking about?" He asked as he started the engine. "And where am I taking you?"

Oops.

Haven't thought of that.

"Uh... Just a block away from the Palace." I said, hoping he would not ask for any more questions. He shouldn't know that I live in the Palace or else I'll be dead.

"You sure?" He asked and I nodded. He looked at me and smiled.

"Eyes on the road mister." I warned him.

"Well, you're much more beautiful than everything I see." He said and winked. UGH. PLEASE STOP DOING THAT MY HORMONES IS MAKING ME CRAZY.

After a while, we finally "arrived" on the curb. He quickly got out and opened the door for me. I stepped out and we exchanged numbers. Ohmygolly.

I started walking towards an old brick house and rang the doorbell, hoping that no one is home. The moment Oliver saw me on the gate, he drove off. PHEW.

I heard the door lock clicking. Oops. Might as well run.

I ran a marathon just to get to the castle. The guard stared at me for a second before he recognized me. He opened the gate and let me in.

"WHERE THE HELL HAVE YOU BEEN AYNIE! I was so worried!" Harry said the moment I opened the door. He was red-faced, his hair was dishevelled, and he looks so... tired.

"I'm sorry I-"

"DO YOU KNOW WHAT TIME IT IS YOUNG LADY?! Grandmere wondered why you didn't show up! I just told her you went to Anne's house for a project! UGH god where have you been?!" He yelled again.

"UGH! Gosh Harry let me explain first, you bloody idiot!" I guess bumping my head gave me the courage to speak to him like that.

"I bumped into a wall so I passed out for 2 hours!" I explained.

"Why didn't you text me or Grandmere?!" He argued back.

"Because I have no battery left! Besides, how do you expect an unconscious person to text you?!"

"Why didn't you make sure that it was fully charged before you went to school?!"

"Because I forgot last night! UGH I WAS DOING LAST MINUTE PROJECTS!"

"Are you sure?! Or MAYBE YOU WERE JUST FLIRTING WITH OTHER GUYS!"

Oh no you didn't!

"WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT?! I don't even have time for flirting!"

"Yes you have!" He accused. "Maybe you met up with your boyfriend!"

"BOYFRIEND?! Are you serious?! I NEVER HAD THE CHANCE TO EXPERIENCE HAVING A BOYFRIEND YOU IDIOT!"

"Good." He answered.

Good?

Will someone please explain to me what he means by that?

"GOOD? How was that good?"

"Well, you're already married so you can't have a boyfriend." Can I please strangle him now? No? Okay. How bout I leave him in a dark forest, naked? Yes?

"You had your share of relationships before!

"SO?"

"SO?! You're being unreasonable here Harry! Might as well ask Oliver out!"

OOPS.

Wrong move. Can I ask for a 15-minute Time Out?

Like a wrong move in chess.

"What?" He suddenly looked like he is about to kill someone. He looks so angry, scary... but still handsome... UGH.

"No-nothing." I tried to pass by him but he stopped me by grabbing my wrist.

"Who the hell is Oliver?!"

"The guy who saved me. The guy who took care of me while I was out instead of my 'supposed to be" husband. IDIOT." I said and stormed off my room.

I opened my door and closed it a little forcefully.

I am so mad!

I'll just imagine Francesca (my other best friend) telling me to say my soothing words.

Kisses... (Deep breath) Hershey’s... (Deep breath) Kitkat... (Deep breath)…

He has no right to say that I can't have a boyfriend! He's my husband on paper and law, but he's not really my husband. UGH. I'm just confusing myself more.

"Krucccck" That's not a frog. It's my grumbling stomach. Now I remember that I haven’t had my dinner yet. I charged my phone and walked downstairs.

"What do you want to eat dear?" Manang Rose asked. "Manang" is what we call to women older than us, or sometimes we call them "tita" which means aunt in the Philippines. Manang Rose is our own housekeeper. Cool right? And she’s an amazing cook!

"Just the usual." I said and sat on the counter stool. She prepared my dinner while I opened the Wattpad app on my IPad. I love reading fan-fictions. Especially when it involves 5 super-hot guys a.k.a. One direction. I've read about two stories before my dinner was served in front of me. Yum.

My dinner consists of scrambled eggs with cheese, two cups of rice, cream of mushroom soup, and my all-time favourite, fried chicken. I don't believe in vegetables. They're just Icky. Bleeegh.

"You fought again didn't you?" Manang Rose suddenly asked. For my whole lifetime here in the palace, she's the only one I can talk to about Harry. She knows everything.

"Yeah. Can you believe he told me that I can't have a boyfriend because I am already married?! He had girlfriends before!" I whined with my mouth full. She just chuckled and slid in to the seat across from me.

"Yeah I believe." She said and I pouted. She laughed again and smiled at me kindly.

"You know dear, Harry isn't that bad." She said. I expected her to smile, wink or something along those things but she looks really serious, which really means business. I wrinkled my nose at the thought of Harry being nice.

"He's just protective at you, that's all." She said and I nearly chocked.

"No way." I shook my head and she chuckled. Let me tell you. She is really just cheerful.

"He just... don't know how to show it." Show my ass.

"If he's being protective about our secret, then he doesn't have to worry because I don't intend it for anyone to know."

"I don't think that's the thing. Just... be patient with him. He's quite a handful, but he's a really good kid."

"Uh-huh." I just nodded and continued to eat. I could feel Manang rose stare at me intently and I suddenly felt conscious.

"Manang don't look at me like that." I said and she laughed.

"Sorry dear. It's just... I didn't expect Harry to be married to such a great girl like you." I can't help but be flattered. I can feel my cheeks blush. As you can see, I'm not good with compliments.

"Well, since you're turning 20 in a few months, how bout I tell you a story about your hubby? As an early birthday present?"
