6. I Lost, You Won

"I want you in my bed. I want to touch you, kiss you and explore you. I want you to spend a night with me on my bed. Just once and then you are free to go," Sanskar winked.

"You are a pervert," she said in aversion. "A jerk... you think you demand such a thing and I will fulfill it? No! Never!" she drawled. "You know, Mr.Sanskar Maheswari, all you all businessmen are like this only. You can stoop down to any level to get what you want. I was a fool to think you are different from the rest. There must be thousands of girls who are ready to give themselves to you. But everyone is not like that. Some are like me too who will never give in to your demands," Swara said and finally opened the door.

"Not even for this video?" Sanskar asked, preventing Swara from stepping out.

'Video? Whose video?' these thoughts were running in her mind.

Swara turned back to Sanskar.

"Baby! Close the door. I know you don't want others to see this video," he said.

"Whose video?" she asked, gulping in fear.

"Wait, let me show you the video",Sanskar said, forwarding his phone to her.

Her heart stopped beating as she saw the video. The blood in her veins froze. She just stood there numb. How could he do this?

How could he use her younger sister to satisfy his ego? Yes, it was a video of Ragini kissing a boy. It was not just a video. He practically had Swara's life in his hands.

"So, how is the video? Nice, am I right? Do you want the whole world to see it?" he asked.

She rushed to him and held him by his collar.

"Why are you doing this? What have I done to you? Why are you ruining my sister's life? What do you want? Please don't upload this video," she cried.

"I will give you two days. Either be in my bed and do the job peacefully or else pay the compensation for breaking the contract after which you are free to go anywhere. But I would love it if you choose the first option," he said.

She wiped her tears and went home. Reaching home, she changed into a simple kurta and salwar. She closed the door of her room and sat on the floor with a thud.

Swara's POV:

Why is this happening to me? I just wanted to get over my past and help Baba financially. But Sanskar Sir came into my life. Why? Initially, I thought he is a very good man and for the first time after so many years, I was comfortable with a man. But no. He is no less than a devil. Why does he want me? Why can't he just leave me alone in my life? My life is a complete mess. There is not a single day when I have lived for myself. Everyday I sacrifice for the sake of others. God! Why is it always me? After Maa died, Baba married Sumi Maa. I am not complaining about this. I know Baba married only for me, so that I get a mother's love. But that never happened. Sumi maa never considered me as her daughter. She always scolds me and makes me do all the work. I did so without any complaints in the hopes that Maa would one day accept me. But no. My life is over. I will always be stuck in a prison. I can never be happy in my life. I just want peace in my life. But that doesn't mean that I will give up my morals. No, I will never let him have my body. I will pay him his money and free myself. I still have two days. I will find another job.

She immediately got up from the bed and took out her phone from her bag.

She dialed a number.

"Hello. I am Swara Gadodia. Actually, four days back I saw a vacancy in your office. Is it still available?" Swara asked.

"Yes Ma'am. You can come tomorrow for the interview."

"Okay. Thanks. But when should I come?"

"You can come at 10."

"Okay. Thanks."

"Have a good day ma'am."

"Baba! I am going out. I will be back soon," Swara announced.

"Where are you going at this time?" her father asked gently.

"Actually, Baba, I am going for an interview," she replied with moist eyes.

"Should I ask Ragini to accompany you?" her father suggested.

"No baba. I can manage," Swara said.

"Okay. Take care. Bye," her father said.

"Bhaiya! Would you go to SMT Infotech?" Swara asked the driver.

"Yes, madam," came his reply.

Swara got out of the auto and paid the driver before getting in.

Seeing Swara, the receptionist smiled.

"You must be Swara Gadodia?" the receptionist asked.

"Yes," Swara replied.

"Ma'am please go to that cabin," the receptionist said pointing her towards a cabin at the extreme left.

"Thank you," Swara smiled and walked in that direction.

"Mr. Laksh Singhal," she read the name plate outside the door.

"Come in," Laksh responded to the knock on the door.

Laksh smiled as he saw Swara.

"Welcome Miss Gadodia," Laksh said.

Swara just smiled in reply.

"I know it's too personal to ask you, but may I ask you why you are conning four days after seeing the vacancy?" Laksh asked.

"That.. Sir.. I..." Swara stammered.

"It's okay if you don't want to say. Anyways you are a gold medalist. Twice. I can't find a single reason to not appoint you," Laksh said.

"Actually, Sir, I first went to Maheswari and Sons. I was appointed there. Everything was fine until yesterday when Sanskar Sir tried to... force himself on me. He k... kissed me forcibly. Now, he wants me...in... his... bed. But I denied. So, he asked me to pay compensation and free myself," Swara cried while saying, her voice quivering to a great extent.

Laksh immediately got up from his seat and handed her a glass of water to drink. Swara cried holding Laksh's one hand and his other hand was assuring her.

"Stop crying, Swara. Everything will be fine. I will help you," Laksh assured Swara.

"Thank you. I will never be able to forget your help," Swara smiled

♡♡♡

It was just yesterday that Swara joined Laksh's company but they became best friends almost as if they knew each other forever. Just one moment was enough to make them BFFs.

Some people arrive and make such a beautiful impact in your life that you can barely imagine your life without them.

Laksh's arrival in Swara's life was no less than a blessing. He was a very caring friend.

They say some souls just understand each other since their first meet. Laksh completely understood Swara's pain. He helped her in every way possible.

Laksh hugged Swara outside her house. He had come to drop her off as that night he was supposed to leave for New York for a meeting.

"When will you be returning?" she asked.

"10 days later. You take care of yourself. Don't hesitate to call me if you need something," he said.

A pair of eyes was watching all their activities since the start. Sanskar was looking at them, feeling hurt. He was burning in a pool of jealousy on seeing them hugging, smiling at each other, even shaking hands.

"Bye," she said to Laksh who drove off.

She turned and was stunned to see the devil's face. Her heart was banging in her chest because of the terror that he would again force himself on her. Her hands clutched the edge of her kurti tightly as sweat beads formed on her forehead. She was looking at him, all frightened. Her lips parted in shock at the fact that he was standing in front of her. Swara was frightened to death as she saw his hands clenched into a fist. She was totally scared of the things that were going to happen.

"San...Sanskar Sir," she spoke in horror.

Her heart started beating faster seeing his angry face. Feeling remorseful was more important than feeling self conscious.

What was he doing here?

After the whole day, she was finally feeling relieved that he was out of her life. Maybe he had given up on her,she thought. She assumed she was free but that was just a dream which he crushed by showing up again

He had found her and she was unable to predict what he would do with her. But she was more shocked when she saw him sitting back in his car and driving away.

Few minutes later her phone beeped. She opened to see a message.

It was Ragini's video accompanied with a text.

"If you do not want the whole world to see this, you will have to give yourself to me. No other option is left. See you at my home in 30 mins. Don't be late. I hate waiting.

Unable to understand what to do, she immediately rushed to Sanskar's house.

"Welcome, sweetheart! I knew you would come. But this soon? Never thought so," Sanskar said.

"I lost. You won," Swara cried and fell on the floor with a thud.
